some golden guards + caleb

i wanted to take a break and do some character design of a few golden guards based off of some of the ones seen briefly in canon. i also drew hunter and caleb as references for faces and stuff. i tried to make them as similar as possible, but also looking very individual to one another. since belos claimed that hunter looks the most like caleb, i tried to stay true to that while keeping the other three looking similar but not quite as identical. anyways i love them <3 they’re like the most mentally ill family ever to me

these weren’t supposed to be real ocs or anything but then i ended up giving them names and backstories and so i wrote a little about them aaaand now im obsessed. i will try to make a full body ref for them, especially alistair and/or constance, if i have time

Caleb tries his best to prevent the Grimwalkers from hurting Hunter. They don't intend to harm him, but their actions could end up going pretty wrong in the end. But ending Belos is worth it, right?

These two are Valor and Cell! (Valor is the o. ne to the top left and Cell is the one to the bottom right)

Valor is supposed to be that one guard from hollow mind. The idea of cell was given to me by my cousin @uncannyx23 , mostly because he loves that cyberpunk stuff or whatever it called lol.

Valor is an engineer and smartie pants who basically created Cell, who is used as Belos's personal weapon. They are a package deal, do not separate' them.

There's more to their story but I'll prob save the rambling for later anyon e's actually interested lol

Part of some commission work for my friend Andrew of his oc for their toh au fic! He sucks but he’s a lot of fun to draw…

Cain is the previous Grimwalker who ran away from the EC n sort of faked his demise and is working on a coup, but he’s not. The greatest person.

Is needing raw meat and blood the only traits hunter has in this AU? or does he have others?

Nope, our boy developed increased senses like better smell, hearing and eyesight. One big difference between Hunter and the other witches is that his ears are constantly moving, detecting every little sound and are more emotive in general. It’s cute if not odd to the other witches.

One clear difference is his teeth. While witches can have fangs, Hunter chompers are absolute killers compared to theirs. His canines jut outwards a bit to stab into his prey and hook his teeth under their skin, making it impossible to escape without causing excessive bleeding. His later incisor and first molar are sharp to tear into meat better. The rest molars are relatively normal if not a bit sharper than usual. He does have an extremely strong jaw that can break through bone, fun when eating jaw breakers but also means if he gets you, he ain’t letting go without at least a piece of you with him.

His biggest differences are in the inside with his digestive system with developing a smaller intestine, colon and cecum making it difficult to get any sort of nutrients from normal food. He found that outside of raw meat and blood, raw eggs and certain dairy products are fairly good. (Fish too but that’s included in meat)

Eyes constricting happened during hunting since it’s a way to protect the eyes if sun is out. Basically the pupil and iris getting really small.(it also makes him look a bit scary)

Their some other grimwalker head canons thrown in here like immunity to the heat like boiling rain and fire, lack of pulse, stone lungs when sleeping, and being able to hold his breathe for a really long time. This is all to build Grimwalkers to be super predators in a way, something for witches to fear. heheh they’re kinda like cats.
