A long life?

Do I really want a long life like I thought?  As long as my grandmother who lived to 91 this year?  Do I really want that here?  

My heart is heavy.  If it isn’t hatred toward the color of one’s skin, then it’s misogny, verbal abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse.  Even if I stop interacting with those who don’t look like me, to stay safe from those who feel they have a right to kill me on sight, those who look like me will also and have abused me too.  We abuse each other.  All of the hatred in this world, especially those who say blacks should stop playing the victim (then don’t make us the victim, gas-lighters), makes this world unsafe.  

Walking away from religion recently leaves me looking back on all the kinds of abuse that happen in church that is accepted.  There are systems of hatred in place from christians learning to hate each other from bible ideas, to the KKK, to rape culture, toxic masculinity, jealousy between women etc.  

Is it simply human nature that we hurt each other for no reason other than insecurity so much so that we deny ever hurting another and take it as far as to at blameless by shaming the victim for the hurt we caused them?  

Our human nature is worthless because we can’t even see ourselves for what we are and we instead want to insist on being abusive instead of holding ourselves accountable.  We never knew how to deal with our negative feelings so it turns into violence and abusive power trips.  

We get aggressive with the truth teller because we would rather act tough than admit we have a problem.  Why would I want to live a long life here?  I think about all the blatant racism my grandmother experienced in her 90 years living in Virginia.  My parents went through it too more so than I ever did in my life until 2020.  And now that I am pulling off the blinders and the bullshit of religion, the same religion that the white oppressor created in this land they stole -STOP PUNISHING THE TRUTH - I am seeing this world for what it is and it’s not worth living a long life for.  

Sure I can stay in my lane and continue to create the life I want however, I still have to watch my back and be on high alert.  That’s no way to live.

Why I want to adopt? It’s because I want to bring that lifelong feeling to someone out there on God’s green earth that life can be made to feel easier, when it’s not. It’s not.

That “yeah I get it” because not the darkest realities are ungettable.

That “it’s ok” because the deep pain is always ok.

That “I’m so sorry” because I am. And sweet human you deserved more. Don’t blame yourself for your beginnings. Don’t internalize shame.

Alright, do you guys wanna hear a probably fairly unpopular opinion?

i don’t really like the slogan “love is love.”

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m literally gay and obviously I do think that society normalizing/becoming accepting of w/w and m/m relationships is important (that includes gay marriage and decriminalization), but I just… don’t like how popular it is, and how it’s being used as like the main “motto” of the LGBTQ+ community, when really, it’s heavily focused on LG issues and maybe some BPQ who are in w/w or m/m relationships and/or want to be (or relationships that pass as such.)

I mean a lot of people aren’t here for “love.” Plenty of people just want sex, or to have their genders accepted, or to not have intrusive surgery preformed on them when they are newborns, or to make friends.

Again, like it’s cool to have it, and obviously it’s important in specific situations, but also, idk. I feel like it shouldn’t be the motto of the LGBTQ+ community as a whole. I’d like to have something more inclusive, like “Human is human” or something that sounds better than that :D
