Fathers love 💘
Ruhi's tiny footsteps padded through the quiet house as she tiptoed towards her fathers' room. The soft glow of a nightlight illuminated her path, casting shadows on the walls that seemed to dance in rhythm with her anxious heartbeat.
As Ruhi approached the closed door, she could hear murmurs of affection and the occasional giggle. She hesitated for a moment, considering whether to disturb her fathers. However, the remnants of her unsettling nightmare compelled her to seek the comfort of their presence.
With a small, determined knock on the door, Ruhi called out in her sweet voice, "Papa, baba, mujhe darr lag raha hai."
Inside the room, Shubman and Ishan were wrapped up in each other, lost in a moment of intimacy. The unexpected knock interrupted their shared laughter, and they exchanged surprised glances.
Shubman, quickly pulling a sheet over them, called out cautiously, "Kaun hai?"
Ruhi's soft voice responded, "Papa baba, mujhe apke paas sona hai. Bhoot aa raha hai mere sapno mein."
Ishan, his heart already reaching out to their daughter, reassured her, "Aa jao, Ruhi. Hum yahan hain." He exchanged a knowing glance with Shubman, their playful moments forgotten as concern etched their faces.
Shubman chuckled nervously, "Hum bas thoda busy the, Ruhi.aap thoda intezaar karte na."
Ruhi, unbothered by the nature of their busyness, pushed the door open with her small hands. "Mujhe daarr lag raha hai," she repeated, her eyes wide with innocence.
Shubman and Ishan, now scrambling to cover themselves properly, exchanged amused glances mixed with parental concern. Shubman reassured her, "Aa jao, beta. Hum yahin hain."
Ruhi climbed onto the bed, seeking refuge between her fathers. Ishan, tenderly brushing away the strands of hair from her face, asked, "Kyun dar lag raha hai, Ruhi?"
Ruhi nestled into Ishan's arms, her eyes fixed on the warmth and safety her fathers provided. "Woh bhoot mujhe pakad lega," she whispered, her voice filled with genuine fear.
Shubman, now wrapped in a sheet like a makeshift cape, chuckled softly. "Arre baba, hum yahin hain na apke saath. Bhoot kya cheez hai?"
Ishan, planting a gentle kiss on Ruhi's forehead, added, "Bhoot voot kuch nahi hota. Hum apke saath hain, aur apke papa hain na, jo har bhoot ko bhaga dete hain."
Ruhi's anxious expression softened, and she clutched onto Ishan's shirt. "Promise?"
Shubman extended his hand, forming a trio with Ruhi and Ishan. "Promise, princess. Ab so jao, hum sab yahan hain."
As they settled back into the embrace, the room echoed with Ruhi's relieved sigh.
As Ruhi nestled deeper into the warmth of her fathers' embrace, Shubman and Ishan began to sing softly, their voices blending harmoniously with the gentle melody of "Chandaniya Lori." Their soothing lullaby filled the room, wrapping Ruhi in a cocoon of love and comfort.
"Chandaniya Lori Lori Lori
Lori Lori Lori
Lori Lori Lori
Lori Lori Lori…"
The melodic notes floated through the air, casting a spell of tranquility over the room. Shubman's deep voice resonated with tenderness, while Ishan's melodious tones added a touch of warmth to the melody.
"Chandaniya Chhup Jaana Re
Chhan Bhar Ko Luk Jaana Re
Nindiya Aankhon Mein Aaye
Bitiya Meri So Jaaye
Hmm Mm…
Nindiya Aankhon Mein Aaye
Bitiya Meri So Jaaye"
As they sang, Shubman gently rocked Ruhi in his arms, his touch as gentle as a whisper. Ishan's fingers traced soothing patterns on Ruhi's back, eliciting a contented sigh from their daughter.
"Leke God Mein Sulaao
Gaao Raat Bhar Sunaao
Main Lori Lori
Ho Main Lori Lori"
The lyrics of the lullaby carried a promise of protection and love, echoing the unbreakable bond between father and daughter. With each verse, Ruhi's eyelids grew heavier, her breathing slowing down to the rhythm of their song.
Shubman and Ishan continued to sing, their voices filled with an overwhelming sense of love and devotion. In that moment, surrounded by the warmth of their family, they found solace in each other's presence.
As the final notes of the lullaby faded into the night, Ruhi drifted off to sleep, her dreams filled with visions of love and security. And in the quiet embrace of the night, Shubman and Ishan held onto each other, grateful for the gift of their precious daughter and the love that bound them together.
As Ruhi surrendered to sleep, her tiny form nestled between Shubman and Ishan, a wave of emotions washed over the fathers. They exchanged a tender glance, their eyes reflecting the depth of their love and the weight of their responsibilities.
Shubman's voice trembled with emotion as he spoke, his words infused with love and gratitude. "Ishu, dekha na, Ruhi kitni pyaari hai. Humara bacha kitna masoom hai."
Ishan nodded, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Haan, Shub, woh hamari zindagi ka sabse bada gift hai. Uski muskurahat se humein itni khushi milti hai."
They sat in silence for a moment, the only sound filling the room the soft breathing of their daughter. Ruhi's innocent presence was a reminder of the beauty and fragility of life, and Shubman and Ishan felt a surge of protectiveness swell within them.
Shubman's voice quivered as he spoke again, his emotions raw and unfiltered. "Pata hai Ishu, kabhi kabhi main darta hoon. Darta hoon ki kuchh ho na jaaye Ruhi ko."
Ishan reached out, gently squeezing Shubman's hand in reassurance. "Shub, hum dono hain na. Hum Ruhi ki har musibat mein uske saath khade rahenge. Uski protection humara farz hai."
A tear slipped down Shubman's cheek as he leaned into Ishan's comforting embrace. "Tum saath hai na, Ishu, yeh ehsaas mujhe himmat deta hai. Tu meri sabse badi taakat hai."
Ishan pressed a kiss to Shubman's forehead, his own eyes moist with emotion. "Hum hamesha saath rahenge, Shub. Humari pyaar ki kahani mein Ruhi ka saath humein aur bhi majboot banata hai."
That moment, surrounded by the warmth of their love and the innocence of their daughter, Shubman and Ishan found solace in each other's arms. Together, they knew they could weather any storm and overcome any obstacle, for their bond was unbreakable, their love eternal.

post COVID  world
Post COVID world: an imagination
In today’s scenario when the whole world is passing through a state of horror, tension, uncertainty and a fear of the unexpected.. CORONA, COVID19, novel corona virus have become household words since last few days. Definitely, it’s the most devastating pandemic humans have ever seen, it has brought the whole world on the back foot, the entire world locked down, people shut in their houses, fear all over everywhere. But somewhere in our hearts we have a hope that we will overcome this too as we have come out of all previous catastrophes. But as per the law of nature every upheaval has got an aftermath so the post COVID 19 will also have. Can you imagine how the post COVID world would be like? Believe me its going be a very different world altogether.
My blog is to bring smiles on your faces in these tough times.
How the world is going to look like with people in masks, gloves and face shields, may be body suits, maintaining social distance and not able to do all those things which they were freely doing before COVID.
I am sharing my imagination here
People, specially Indian people are going to miss their pleasure of sneezing, picking their nose or even coughing because now onward  all these gestures will turn heads.
Sneezing before covid was considered a pleasurable activity which everyone used to enjoy I distinctly remember seeing my grandfather and people of that age using “NASWAR”( it is a moist, powdered tobacco usually sniffed) to make them sneeze.
When we look into the process of sneezing it appears to be no less than a rocket science. Sneezing in itself is a whole process right from getting into the mood which involves making of funny faces to taking a stance, than a little bending behind with head tilted back and then the final act of explosion , definitely it is like launching a rocket into space and the best of all is the contentment on the face of who sneezes, he looks content, relieved and as if he has achieved something in his life. Similarly picking one’s nose was also a pastime and for some people it was a gesture associated with intense thinking, the deeper the thinking- faster the finger use to dig into deep corners of their noses, and during this intense intellectual process their face becomes so flexible that at times their mouth seems to reach almost to their ears.
Another gesture is coughing which has been a very strong and interesting verbal communication sign since times immemorial. which was further made famous by Maduhri dixit and Salman khan in the film HUM APKE HAIN KAUN ,that famous “AHO -AHU” which became a symbol for communicating amongst love birds will now be seen with a raised eyebrows ,disapproval and contempt.. even fear .
Sneezing, coughing in public will be a more heinous crime than farting. I guess farting is going to be treated a respectable gesture now.
Mask definitely is a protective gear against the virus but it s going to change the scenario altogether ,after Covid it may be beneficial for many whereas disheartening for some, lets look at this:-
Firstly for the people who have borrowed money can now roam in the city without the fear of being caught by their lenders.
Love birds who use to cover their faces earlier for the fear of getting caught but were always spotted because they use to look very odd in the crowd and it use to become very obvious now they can do it officially.
Robbers and chain snatchers are going to have gala time as they will no more be scared of being suspects.
Eve teasing will be on next level now, as the girls will never be able to figure out who whistled at them or who passed a comment on them.
For girls Its going to save lots of money ,they now can get their upper lip done at their own convenience of budget and time etc as now they have a facility of easily hiding it under a designer or a flowery mask .
Some rituals are also going to be changed, in weddings the “MUH DIKHAI ceremony will now onwards will be a “MASK HATAO” ceremony and for that matter masks are going get designer now with diamonds or may be gold embroidery.
India is going to be cleaner now because all those people who used to spit here and there will end up spitting in their masks as getting use to the mask is going to take time and by the time they will forget this habit of spitting.
The toothpaste and tooth whitening companies are going to suffer a big loss as people will care a damn for white teeth and their bad breath.
Anti tan cream companies will see their sales figure shoot up as people will be using to get rid of their mask marks on their face.
Corporate will be very happy to have another reason for cost cutting . Now they can do away with their pantry and housekeeping staff because when they find that after lock down their staff is very well equipped with all these skills. we might see a rooster in offices for assigning these works on rotation basis to the employees. The support staff might see a fear of losing their jobs. similarly the house maids will also have a tough time, they might lose their jobs or will have to raise their performances levels as their performances will always be compared with their lock-down replacement their own “ sahabs”.
Lastly the HINDI language word “karona”, means asking ‘to do’ like “eis matter mey kuch karona”will be out of fashoin as people will be alarmed to hear karona and hear it as CORONA. instead people will start using “kariye”
Any ways as the saying goes “Change is the Essence of life” so lets prepare ourselves for this change. In the meantime stay at home and stay safe.
keep visiting my blog
waiting for your comment and likes
bye for now

WO DIN BHI KYA DIN THY! BACK TO  THE 90s...
Bratadipto Ghosh
‘Ye bandhan toh, pyaar ka bandhan hain, janmo ka sangam hain!’ Quite a famous song from one of the most iconic films from the 90s era, and that’s exactly something we can utter when we feel evocative about that last decade of the 20th century.
After the 80s, which was arguably the darkest phase in Bollywood, Hindi cinema got a new direction all together. The 90s saw a mixture of everything, from comedy, to action, to romance and thrillers; it was something which makes us nostalgic even today.
The beginning of the decade saw the New Economic Policy, and hence the film industry proved to be heavily beneficiary by the influx of foreign investment. Much of it is evident by the fact that films became NRI centric, as we saw in the iconic DDLJ.
It was quite co-incidental that three of the Khans came into the scene at a similar time, and this decade was expected to be theirs. But things weren’t really that way. Someone like Govinda forming a trio alongside Kader khan and David Dhawan, or a certain action hero in Akshay Kumar or Sanjay Dutt were equally popular. And something out of the box and ahead of the time, Mani Ratnam’s Roja or Bombay were accepted by the public too.
And it was not just about the male faces, female stars in Kajol, Rani Mukherji, Raveena Tandon, Madhuri Dixit and some others were equally mesmerizing on screen. The hero heroine stereotypical love story narrative was presented in a newer form which was quite appealing.
Talking about the 90s nostalgia, some cinemas have remained evergreen after 20-25 years too. Not just they set the trend then, but they have casted an indelible imprint in our hearts.
A film like Hum Apke Hai Kaun was the official wedding movie and anthem for the whole nation, along with that it went blockbuster on theatres. The decade also saw the journey of the ‘Mozart’ of India, AR Rehman to fame with composing for versatile albums like Roja on one side, and Dil Se or Rangeela on the other. Slapstick and zany comedy was popularized by Govinda, and still we are a fan of his way of delivering the comic. Again this decade saw the end of the legendary Amitabh Bachchan as a lead face, after his iconic Agneepath in 1990. He shifted to different roles later, and the Khans took over. A film like Satya was critically acclaimed and received a positive response in the box office too. Also, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai proved to be another milestone in Hindi cinema, also establishing the SRK-Kajol bond more powerfully, and giving birth to the director Karan Johar, who later gave a lot many commercial hits.
Reminiscing that era gives us goosebumps on each and every moment! Bollywood improved its standards of storytelling further in the millennial offerings, but the foundation was laid in the 90s. Now simply we need to scan through the archives, and watch the movies once more, to relive what was the beginning of something new, something different, and something which the public had never seen before!

DAY 3362
Malta                   June 11/12,  2017               Sun/Mon 12:17 am local time
Many wishes and reminders come from the Ef, in particular the archival chief Moses, for films having completed some years of release .. DEV, Mr Natwarlal, Te3N .. and I pay my respects to these films and the makers .. each film is a massive labour of love determination and belief .. a belief of the maker in what he wishes his creativity to express .. his thoughts, his thoughts thought by the mass and his thoughts thinking for the ultimate acceptance in its mirrored imagery ; the results of the box office ..
Thank you for the remembrance, for the joy of having seen them and for the extended love that is shown even to this day ..
But today is sent on platforms of social media a picture of ‘Saudagar’
Tumblr media
A film made with great compassion by director Sudhendu Roy, who was really an art director for films .. designed sets and settings for the look of the film .. but he wished to direct the film and he did ..
The producers were the famous RajShri Production house, the Barjatia’s .. famous for making family oriented films, and successfully too  ... today’s generation would identify them with films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ and ‘Hum Apke Hain Kaun’ because of the presence of Salman and Madhuri and the massive successes these films had .. ‘Saudagar’ did not .. but it was acclaimed for its story value, written and taken from the story called ‘Ras’ as in juice, written by a famous Bengali writer ..
I did the film for two reasons .. one, I had no work and any that came was readily accepted .. and the second I shall not disclose ..
I admired the interest and detailing that the Producers took and the care they gave me despite the fact that I had no standing at all ..
Shot on location in Calcutta, on the out reaches where the business of the actual juice from the date palm is conducted .. and on a set put up at China Creek in Mumbai .. I have always wondered why it was ever called that .. it never seemed to bring any relation to either the country or the language .. but there ..
Calcutta, it was then Calcutta was a tough schedule .. up by 3 in the morning and on location by 4-5 am to be able to take those early sun shots in the best lights .. the location being some distance .. the climbing the palm trees was real and the atmosphere at shoot was filled with grave apprehension for me .. I never knew what I was doing and whether it was being done correctly, a concern that haunts me to date ; even here on the sets of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
Nutan ji a huge star and my colleague in the film was a dream .. admired by millions and now an opportunity to be in the same frame as her, simply unbelievable moments ..
She was a picture of grace and professionalism .. China Creek is a good 2 hours from the centre of the city, but she would be ready with make up and on set sharp at 7 am !! ... beating everybody to it ..
It was a poignant story .. and had many hidden subtexts in its writing ..
Sudhendu Da was a very quiet, composed patient and calm individual .. never raising his voice and never showing any frustration or disappointment if he felt so .. his daughter now follows in her Father’s profession as set and art designer !
Nutan ji was dedicated and focussed all the time on the set .. Padma Khanna ji, my other colleague on the film, an I were more vocal .. we exchanged a lot of Uttar Pradesh together .. especially with her Mother, a delightful and most affable soul .. such are the memories of the times .. and those memories never fail .. nor did the make shift tent that I had carted along with me to the location to spend the warm hot afternoons in .. I had contemplated, seeing the punctuality of Nutan ji, to spend the night on location in that tent, but better sense prevailed and I did not ..
China Creek has been the location for a huge number of films .. for me several too .. Abhimaan, Great Gambler, Toofan and many others .. the Creek is vividly remembered for the GG shoot .. doing a chase sequence, .. patching work done in Amsterdam .. in a speed boat .. Shakti Samant the director sitting at the rear end of the boat and operating a hand held Arriflex camera, he operated the camera often, and me driving the boat at speed, hitting a wave, getting thrown about disbalanced, looking back to find Shakti Da, thrown in the water with the camera .. turning quickly back and around to rescue him .. the camera lies at the bottom of the creek .. he had to leave it or would have been pulled down in the water with its weight .. swimming with clothes and shoes on with a camera in hand is an impossibility ..
Memories ...
