🍬 Could this be the plant that inspired Lifesaver candy? It sure does look like it but if you get close enough to smell it, you may think maybe not! Huernia zebrina is a small plant and the circular ring of the bloom is nearly identical in size to a candy Lifesaver, but it's in the family of succulents designed to attract carrion flies so in order to do its job well it smells like rotting flesh. Another plant blooming this week is the beloved Huernia zebrina 😁❤️🤩🌿 This funny little dwarf succulent produces at least 6-7 blooms for me each year, this one is a bit early and the only one right now, usually there would be around 3 flowers opening simultaneously. The look of the red annulus gives the plant its common name,
