Pq por mais que tenha um hype enorme na abertura, depois de um tempo o rpg flopa e a culpa nem é dos adms. Os players só somem mesmo. As vezes eu nem entro nos rps que me atraem por esse medo

adm não é empregado de ninguém mas infelizmente acho que a grande maioria dos atuais players, se acostumaram muito com a central sendo a babá e mandando tarefas pra eles fazerem, como plots drops e eventos 24/7.

não é de hoje que a gente sabe que vc sempre tem que dar tudo mastigadinho ou todo mundo tem preguiça de ler ( imagine de escrever )

é realmente muito triste você se animar em fazer um rp massa, diferente, que faça com que as pessoas querem sair da zona de conforto... e ninguém que sair do quadrado!

e como aviso para todos os fãs/players de rp hp - que são os únicos além de pj que nunca flopa, SUPEREM PELO AMOR DE DEUS!

✨the queue✨: a guide

the queue is great! it's helpful if you want to post regularly or if you have lots of posts you want to reblog but don't want to do all at once.

you can queue posts by either a) clicking the reblog button > clicking the arrow next to it once it opens the page where you can add comments > selecting 'add to queue'; or

b) going into settings > clicking on the part that says 'labs' (where tumblr has new features they're working on) > turning on 'fast queue' (this adds a new icon next to the 'reply' and 'reblog' icons where you basically reblog a post but 'add to queue' is the default).

and why would i want to post regularly, you ask? well, the more you post (and the more diverse posts you have), the more likely it is for your posts to reach more people. accurate tags help with this, too. it also helps if you need to post at a consistent schedule for whatever reason, but can't always log on at the same time every day.

if you want to queue your posts at more random times, go into labs and turn on 'queue 2.0'. this enables a more detailed way to schedule your queued posts. i had to play around with it before i found something i liked, and i suggest you do too.

i would honestly say anything by SJM, but if i had to get specific i would say her Throne of Glass series. i don't particularly care for competition arcs for one and i've heard a LOT of plagiarism accusations for that specific series so just yeah. no.

Mad Ship by Robin Hobb. i go into more detail on it here in my rant review, but basically i had very high hopes for the rest of this series after the Farseer Trilogy and this book ruined the entire series for me. it threw me off of reading for SEVERAL days to the point that i had to reread the first book of my favorite series just to set myself right again so i could continue reading new books.

Azalea (renewal) — Name a book that got you out of a “reading slump”.

it wasn't a five-star, but The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson was SO fun it definitely yanked me out of my funk at the time. i have a special spot in my heart for innkeeping in fantasy books and that was a big plot point in this book, and beyond that i just really enjoyed the characters and story.

Begonia (beware) — What’s a book you would never recommend?

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett. the ONLY book i have logged that is lower than a 2 star, which is a lot because i'm not shy to dnf when i'm not having a good time and i actually rated the only SJM i've ever read HIGHER than that and she is my literary ENEMY. i'll link my longer review here (full of spoilers, be warned) if anyone wants to read but to sum it up: this book says it's a feminist book. it is the FARTHEST thing from it. do not waste your time.

definitely not the first book series i EVER read by a long shot, i enjoyed reading before then, but i think the Selection series was what really cemented reading as a lifelong love for me. are they particularly good? no! will i reread them...ever? probably not!! but until then my experience with reading was only kid series like HP and Percy Jackson and then school-assigned books. and while HP and PJ were good, those were the first books that i read that were centered toward a more mature audience and they were more...just more. I remember reading them and thinking "i didn't know books could be like THIS." and the rest was history lol

Chrysanthemum (friendship) — Name a book that depicts your favorite friendship.

it's gotta be Iona Iverson's Rules for Commuting by Clare Pooley. the whole book is centered on unexpected friendships between people who pretty much have nothing in common except that they share the same train in the morning but i was CRYING by the end. the way these people from all walks of life grow to care for each other over time had me sooooo weepy.

Daffodil (hope and rebirth) — What’s a book you turn to when you need comfort?

Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. when im down i just need a beautiful depiction of queer love with stakes low enough that i wasn't worried about a bad ending but high enough that i was kept engaged, and a guaranteed happily ever after that always hits perfectly.

HP or Percy Jackson, i truly can't remember. i also had a very intense Maximum Ride phase for a minute (if you don't recognize that name, do me a favor and stay curious it is NOT good) but it wasn't a favorite, i never ended up rereading it.

The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo. beautiful prose and explores very hard-hitting topics.

Rosaria Munda wrote my favorite series of all time and has not yet blessed me with any new works unfortunately.

Forget-me-not (true love and remembrance) — What’s a book you have always loved?

The Shadow and Bone Trilogy. I love the Six of Crows duology more but this was the first love for me and it holds a special place in my heart to this day.

Emberclaw by L.R. Lam. absolutely LOVED Dragonfall and i can't wait to see where else this story goes. expected on March 4th, 2025!!

The Orc Prince Trilogy by Lionel Hart. just some feel-good M/M romance in a fantasy world with just enough plot to keep me engaged when the main characters aren't uh...enjoying their new arranged marriage 😂

Gloxinia (love at first sight) — Name a book you read just because you liked the cover.

The Winter Duke by Claire Eliza Bartlett. i liked the book itself too and the plot did interest me but i loveee the aesthetic of the cover and i'm not shy to say that it swayed me the most.

Pink Larkspur (fickleness) — Name a book that you have mixed feelings about.

House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson. i think the atmosphere is absolutely GORGEOUS and the world is so lush and addicting. the characters less so but i still liked them well enough. i liked the book overall, i just think everything wrapped up too quickly and we should've spent more time on...pretty much everything? it could've benefitted for 50, maybe 100 more pages.

Red Tulip (eternal love) — Name a book that you will never stop recommending.

ANXIOUS PEOPLE BY FREDRIK BACKMAN. when i tell this book takes you across the FULL GAMBIT OF HUMAN EMOTION. i was laughing my stomach sore in one paragraph and then on the next page i was SOBBING. it's one of those books that really touches the human spirit, showing you so many perspectives and making them all so fucking meaningful and reminding you that we're all human and we're all stumbling around and trying to do our best and UGH. i loved it so much. read it if you want a truly cathartic cry and to feel some renewal in your motivation for life.

Voyage of the Damned by Frances White. I just did not like the style of humor, plus there were certain elements about the worldbuilding that felt out of place to me (it was the hot dogs and finger guns that did me in).

Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. It was fun, short, and easy to read, which made it the perfect book to encourage me to get into reading again.

I think it might have been the Junie B. Jones books. I just remember reading those a lot. They were special to me because they're some of the first books I read once I learned how to speak and read in English.

The book that I remember most vividly was involved a goth mouse family (who I'm pretty sure were supposed to be the mice version of the Addams Family) and the goth mouse parents had a baby that they named Baby. Yeah. I adored those books.

Ah sí, la misma que fue baneada de Dusk of Arcana, me dejó tirados temas en Hellebore y en Betelgeuse is Dead se borró la cuenta en plena trama dejando a su grupo tirado. Gran usuaria, que la disfruten en FD.

Nada, después del hate ganado de manera bastante gratuita, solo me queda decir: equisdé. Dicho esto, voy a opinar sobre mis propias acciones.

Se os olvida frecuentemente que el puto derecho al olvido existe y es valido en cualquier momento. Sin dar explicaciones. ¿Cuántas veces se os va a tener que decir? ¿Me lo tatúo en la frente para que os quede?

Que sí, que cangurée de NMNF y no avisé. ¿Está mal? Pos claro, pero cuidado con juzgar, que quizá, al cabo de cuatro días, tú acabas haciendo lo mismo.

Salté de Hellebore y allí si que avisé porque pista, tenía trama con varios conocidos y lo estuve hablando con varios de ellos. Me encontraba en una situación de que el foro me gustaba y tal, pero sentía que seguía roleando lo mismo una y otra vez. Que quizá la trama de HP -en general- se había acabado para mí. Escribía desde la pura nostalgia y para un post, me podía estar perfectamente 3H. Eso me pasó durante mi última etapa administrando Unlimited y allí reconocí el problema: la ambientación HP.

Entré en Hellebore con la ilusión de quitarme ese mal sabor de boca con HP y no funcionó, más bien todo lo contrario. Me frustraba, nada de lo que escribía me gustaba, etc. ¿Sabes lo que es escribir con ese sentimiento creciendo por dentro? Es una tortura. Es como aquél que tiene un rifle apuntando a la cabeza. Es una experiencia que no recomiendo, en absoluto.

Y repito, fui yo, no el foro en sí.

De BiD, mejor ni hablemos. Acusar a una persona de abandonar un foro porque la administración del proyecto juega con el tiempo de sus usuarios, pues peppoclown. A vender humo a otro lado, c'est fini.

De DoA, ¿qué quieres que te diga? XDDD. Es que ha pasado un año ya y no me acuerdo de la mitad. Mira, te podría decir cosas malas, pero a estas alturas, es más normal quedarse con lo vivido. Bueno y malo. Sí, te estoy diciendo que no cambiaría absolutamente nada. Porque mi baneo fue algo que se fue cociendo a fuego lento y me explotó en la cara cuando yo les dije que tenían una idea buenísima pero una incongruencia demasiado grande en la Tierra de las Sombras.

Sería poco realista basar mi experiencia en DoA entorno al baneo, ¿no crees? De momentos bonitos me llevo bastantes, yo te los refresco, querido anon. Yo recuerdo que con mis compañeros, ya de confianza, haciendo el encargo intermedio, me lo pasé de lujo con tantos NPCs y caos general.

Recuerdo la primera trama con cariño. Recuerdo querer matar a la Amicia y no poder por pena a dejar demasiadas tramas tiradas de la nada. Recuerdo emocionarme con lo temas de Erra y Amicia, porque aunque eran casuales, demostraban tener algo mágico. Recuerdo emocionarme por las ideas comentadas entorno al grupo con el que mi pj encajaba más -Lauren, Kasen, Erra y etc-

¿Y ahora, sabes lo que queda en mi cabeza de DoA? Que Kasen está vivo. Que Lauren está embarazada e incluso, sin problemas de espalda. Que Erra y Saul salen de ese bache. Y sí, que Amicia ya no está para verlo.

Por supuesto, me quedan esos personajes y muchos más. No, no me queda el cabreo por opinar diferente. Me queda lo más sano, la experiencia de rolear con un personaje con problemas fuertes de autoestima.

También te digo, juzgarme por 3 foros no es tener una opinión formada sobre una user que lleva doce años en el rol. Sí, amiwi, doce. Diez roleando y administrando y estos dos últimos, sólo como user.

Dejando de lado los foros en los que he estado, me interesa la experiencia que yo te pude proporcionar.

Si ya de entrada, tú sabías que en Hellebore era quien era y llevaba a Babi, ¿por qué tenías rol con mi personaje? Hombre, es que hay que ser un poco tonto.

Ahora te podrías defender en el typical: que claro, eres de estos que no mezcla on con off, pero lo haces, surprise bitch.

Pero lo cierto es que no puedes quejarte porque la decisión de abandonar el foro la tomé yo en su momento. Cómo gestione mi vida, sólo es mí problema. ¿Queda claro? Tú sólo eres un daño colateral del derecho al olvido.

Ch 1

Robbie is a halfling who is pretty shitty but he’s good at making “potions” (Robbie is the roommate that everyone really hates but doesn’t want him to leave because he is their plug)

Taako is on the top bunk, Magnus is under Taako, Robbie is next to Taako and Merle is under Robbie

They are woken up at 3 am to report to Lucretia (3 am really?)

”Yeah it’s like Mario Mario or Luigi Mario” ~Griffin (This is so funny because this actually proves that Taako’s last name really is Taaco. Before Justin played it as a joke but this kinda derails that)

Robbie asks them for Pringles when they leave (Thus the beginning of me and the boys not remembering him by anything other than Pringles)

They arrive in their PJs (Taako is in footie pajamas and Merle’s has a flap in at the butt with a Kenny Chesney tattoo on his ass) (When the hell did Merle get that tattoo. Also, why is Lucretia in her full BoB garb right now? Was she asleep and get changed really quickly? Do her robes double as PJ’s? Did she just not go to sleep?)

Taako says he gets night terrors that’s why he’s in like a full-body Onesie/sleeping bag (That is so fricking sad if you think about his backstory later on…)

Magnus just starts changing clothing right then and there when Lucretia tells them that they don’t have time to get ready (This man really has no shame or boundaries. I imagine it was the same in the century tbh)

Leimann Kessler (half-elf man) was murdered before he was even on the train but was able to secure the Relic on the train (Personally, don’t know a lot about how trains work but this to me is kinda odd. Who knew he died? Do their bracers know when the wearer perishes? Is there like a body temp check and a pulse check in there too? We know that it can track them but… how much more can it do…)

All the relics come from a different school of magic. They were never in the hands of someone long enough to learn what they are capable of (Potentially this is a lie. We would have already known the names, schools of magic, and possibly what they could do based upon that alone. I bet Lucretia is hiding that info in her office)

The Gauntlet deals with Evocation magic (Hmmm, I can only imagine why. Maybe because Lup also worked in Evocation magic?)

Avi is manning the cannon! The whole scene with Magnus High as hell. Avi Never learned how to Wink (Avi you’re adorable I love you. Magnus. Get your shit together man.)

Taako pulls the lever too early and they change trajectory into a swamp

Merle gets a lot of blood sucked from him by the leeches

Angus, my sweet summer child don’t talk to strangers. We know your grandfather’s name was long forgotten even though you’re going to visit him in Never Winter.

The boys legit think Angus is evil and Griffin yells at them bc they are being racist. (1- how are they being legit racist? You haven’t introduced anything about Angus’ race at all?) (2- Jesus he is only 10 years old my dudes)

Graham is 36 years young and is crazy obsessed with trains and his real name is Percy? He is shadowing Jenkins in hopes of learning more about working on a train

Jenkins is harnessing a limited version of teleportation magic

Angus calling the boys out on their bullshit

Taako calling Angus “pumpkin” (Literally melts my heart. I wish someone called me cute nicknames. Also, Taako hasn’t even talked to this kid that much and that name is reoccurring)

Angus has a nondescript blue book that is able to intercept messages sent through magical means (Where did this child get this book and who let him keep it? This is legit just like letting children under 13 have access to the unrestricted internet. It’s literal Hell)

The bit with Angus and “PRYING EYES AND EARS!” (uh foreshadowing my guy)

They find “Jenkins” Dead body after hearing Graham scream

Merle is able to identify a lot of things by looking at the body (It still scares me that he is technically a Physician.)

Angus pulls a small CROSSBOW OUT OF HIS SLEEVE? (Where did he get this, how did he keep it from Hudson, Why the fuck does he have it)

Angus really said “you guys run I’ll get rid of him!” and grabs Graham and runs (How strong is this child. He’s legit lifting and pulling a grown-ass man without help)

They follow the Crab into their sleeper car and Magnus attacks with a chair and Griffin says “I imagine because you are so skilled at carpentry that you’ve had to attack someone with a chair before so you are in fact proficient in this attack”

Jess comes in and finishes the crab off with her Soul bound ax that she can conjure at any time (This legit just means that Jenkins did not need to carry her ax to the crypt safe. She let him do it for shits n giggles. We stan)

Jess got her last name legally changed to “Beheader” and Magnus says that he got his legally changed to “The Hammer” (Really Magnus… this isnt 3rd grade stop trying to impress her. It’s that or it could be another sad reference to “Hammer and Tongs” which would mean Julia was “Tongs” D: that is so depressing and cute)

Magnus and Merle are making good progress in solving the murder

The “fisticuffs” scene with Taako and Angus (Now this is really concerning considering his backstory. I know it’s a joke because of how many people they accidentally kill all the time but like dude… little do you know…)

Angus leading them through the mystery is so cute. But also you know its Griffin trying to get his family to really think it through and I love it. (It really makes my heart really full to hear Griffin get really excited when they figure it out slowly instead of mocking them when they guess wrong)

MERLE YES! MAGNUS YES! YOU’RE GETTING IT! YOU’RE SO CLOSE! (Teamwork makes the dream work baby!)

Magnus jumps out of the train and Griffin gets really serious and gives him the “if you fail this you will actually die” speech (This coupled with the fight scene that Magnus accidentally skipped and the fact that originally Travis did want Magnus to die so he could re-roll a rogue is so wild)

Taako grabs the teleport wand thing and asks everyone to leave and he grabs a bunch of shit from the Cryptsafe pile (Very Taako-core)

They make it to the engineer’s room and Graham tries to slow the train down but he can’t

Taako wanted to open the gate to Never Winter to Phandalin but they change it to Jenkins’ garden because it needs to be a room with “one entrance” (Solid idea on Taako’s part. If it were to work no one would have been hurt)

Taako pushed Angus off the train and he looses two teeth (This man pushed a whole child off the train… ‘Ight)

Magnus dies by jumping off the train (Top ten anime death scenes)

Taako successfully opens the gate into Jenkin’s garden and the train crashes into the garden

Magnus is stabilized by Merle (Awe so the Cleric can do his job!)

They go to a nearby Never Winter Clinic to get patched up

Estuve al poco de abrir y luego un tiempo más tarde (no llegué a estar cuando se volvió más universidad y menos Hogwarts). Siempre tuve tramas interesantes, incluso con pjs canon (yo no lo era). E incluso recuerdo que hice muy buenas migas con un grupito por CB y nos acabamos haciendo una familia de vampiros en un foro de Nueva York
