ok spoilers for chapter 88 and onwards ahead for the 2 followers i have who avoid bsd manga spoilers!!!!!!!
stop reading here I'm warning you
ok so. I've seen ppl discuss whether or not akutagawa will survive post vampire apocalypse thing. and i wanna offer my 2 cents
while i do agree with the people saying his death scene was kinda perfect and super satisfying, i think that's only true when you look at it in a vacuum rather than in the context of the whole story, and mainly his 6 months deal with atsushi. and this is why i think there's no way he will perma die before this showdown happens, or at least when we get close to it in the timeline (which I'm p sure we aren't, it's been maybe 2 months at most since they made that deal i think, and that's me being generous with my calculations)
giving that exact time frame of 6 months is too specific to not have a proper payoff. akutagawa can't die yet (like. if it was some vague promise to last as long as it takes for atsushi to become stronger or smth, this would've worked. but the number has to be important. otherwise it wouldn't have been so explicitly stated and iirc even repeated later on)
so this is established. now I'm gonna get into fanfic territory bc this is what I'm thinking about instead of sleeping
i think being unvampirized - either by bram or dazai or however this'll go down - won't just make him his normal, alive self. tho, this last chapter confirmed the vampires can self heal, so maybe this is how it'll go, but i want the angst of it not counting bc it's also part of the ability or w/e, so if the ability cancels out then so will all of its effects. bc i said so. and this is the only way my idea can work.
so anyway now we've got this more corpse-like than usual akutagawa on hand. and atsushi is freaking out. i wanna say everyone has grouped back up together, ada and mafia even maybe, so they all see him freaking out, too.
some of them are confused - weren't you two enemies? yes, you worked well together, but was your bond really that deep...? - is what they think. some of them get it, tho.
in his panic, atsushi locates yosano, practically begging her to heal akutagawa, he's not dead yet, but he's very close to that, and she can help
there's this moral dilemma for the ada, remembering how some of them were directly hurt and injured by akutagawa, and how the mafia is still very much their enemy, and yosano is also having these thoughts. fukuzawa is still missing and can't deliver the final decision on the matter
but atsushi seems so distressed, over this man who tried to kill him so many times. he is mumbling about how akutagawa hasn't killed in awhile, how he tried his best not to hurt anyone, how he's atsushi's partner now.
if atsushi wants him to live, how can the ada say no? and so, yosano uses her ability to save him. the first thing he sees once he's fully conscious, is atsushi's face above his, tears in his eyes
and. this is all i have for you. they reunite - properly - and it's very sappy. love wins.
#disclaimer this isn't actually how i think it's gonna go#HOWEVER i did try to keep it relatively realistic#i do want atsushi to call akutagawa his partner at some point in this arc tho.#dan rambles#~imagination edition~

Pre Shippuden — Shippuden Era
Ages 16 - 22. This is a continuation of the events in Hokkaido's life.
Age 16
I left off on her six month mission in Konohagakure. Backtracking a few months before she turned sixteen, she worked directly under Tsunade Senju amd had slowly reconnected with her old friends, including Neji Hyūga, Kiba Inuzuka, Ino Yamanaka, Sakura Haruno, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akamichi.
That being said, her sixteenth birthday was spent in the Hidden Leaf. The party was small and planned by Ino, complete with a few cupcakes and dango. This was the first birthday she enjoyed after Emi passed away.
Speaking of Emi, Hokkaido constantly worried over Ichika and often wrote letters to the younger one. After all, next year Ichika would start the Amegakure Academy.
Aside from her mission, nothing too big happened this year. Though she found out Sasuke was missing. He had become a Rogue Ninja. Okay that's pretty big but still.
Age 17
Upon her journey towards Amegakure after the six months had passed, the Kunoichi had taken it into her own hands to search for Sasuke. She strayed off the path she should have been taking to go to the Hidden Rain Village.
From here, she runs into some nasty company.
This was the first time she met Pein and Konan. And they looked like they were ready to end her.
Upon activating her sharingan, interest was sparked in her by Pein. She was spared on one condition. Well a few, but one big one.
She was to join the Akatsuki, accept the Rogue life and abandon her old life. This would mean abandoning the Hidden Rain and Ichika.
But on the other hand, maybe she could find Sasuke. She had no clue just how wrong she was. But she agreed nonetheless.
So she was taken back to the base, fron there, she met the other members.
Okay don't kill me but here's what happens when she first meets the Akatsuki: [her opinion and relationships will change over time]
Pein: Of course when they first met, she was intimidated and activated her sharingan, but being spared and hopefully brought closer to her brother, she would do anything he asked, for now at least.
Konan: Seeing her special skills, Hokkaido was intimidated but wouldn't admit so. She seems to be the only female here.
Deidara: I'm sorry Dei, but my little angel thought you were a very beautiful lady until you spoke the first time. Needless to say, she was rather shocked but admired his hair and explosives anyway.
Kakuzu: one word. Fear. This man is huge and crazy tall, also his personality reminds her of what its like to bite into a crabapple.
Hidan: she admired his dedication, but didn't like how he greeted her with “Fuck, there's another one? At least this one has a decent rack”. She punched him. And threatened his life only to find out he's immortal.
Tobi: well, he's very hyper and welcoming at least, but she wondered why he wore that mask.
Kisame: is he a man? Shark? Man-Shark? Either way, she kept a distance and admired his strength from afar.
Sasori: puppets are completely and utterly horrifying and she wanted nothing to do with this weird puppet man. Until she saw how red his hair was and her cheeks dusted a pale pink. It reminded her of someone she met a few years ago.
Itachi: . . . Her brother. Her brother, who had killed the clan was in the Akatsuki. Upon seeing him, she wondered if it was too late to leave the Akatsuki. She rurned her nose away and sighed.
Zetsu: “are you a. . . Big, adorable plant man?” i think it's safe to say Zetsu stared at her and quite possibly closed his trap around himself to save himself the embarrassment or black Zetsu threatening to eat her.
Back to Age 17
Sasuke wasn't with them, and she felt like shutting down completely. She was now at square one again. She had hoped this was her ticket to helping her brother, but ahe didnt know he didn't want help.
And honestly, you can't help someone who doesn't want any help.
Aside from her mind overworking, she now had to face Itachi as he was staring her down.
“hey, Itachi... ”
From there, the two walked around as he explained what really happened that day. She was torn. The Leaf had ordered this massacre?
Maybe she wasn't ready to go home after all.
Age 18
On her eighteenth birthday, she had spent her very first one with Itachi in nine years, and she oncr again, was crying those sappy happy little tears.
She never really expected a group of terrorists to the villages to get her gifts, yet they had.
Konan had gotten her a pair of fingerless gloves; Hokkaido appreciated the gesture because her hands were usually cold and Konan usually got things she needed or wanted anyway as the two had become closer.
Kisame had given her her very first katana, which, she undeniably adored the gesture; and she was extremely pink cheeked, she wasn't in love with him but she really liked his caring and understanding attitude.
Tobi had gotten her a mask to match his, which she never would wear; instead, she retaliated with offering to share dango with him instead. Which results in him squealing.
Sasori had claimed he didn't give a damn about things she wanted but still placed a small wooden figure of well, GAARA, in front of her; which led to the idea he had read her diary and had fully embarrassed her. But this little figure was different. Gaara was dressed as the Kazekage.
Deidara had picked her up some paint; remembering she hsd spent endless nights she couldn't sleep to paint her ceilinv and walls, and was out of it.
Zetsu uh, well, gave her a few seeds for flowers. It was for a joke since he figured she would never use them, but she held o to them. Just wait. These gifts will be brought up later.
Kakuzu, and i can't stress this enough, didn't do shit.
Hidan, on the other hand, tried offering immortality if she converted to jashinism.
Itachi had saved his for last. He had gotten her a journal and pens, as well as her stuffed panda from Amegakure.
A part of being an official member of the Akatsuki meant missions. And she had completed several, but what made her panic would be the one where the hunt for Jinchuuriki began.
It was a silent battle with herself. She had already dedicated herself to the Akatsuki but she knew two Jinchuuriki. Gaara and Naruto.
The day Gaara's One Tail was extracted, she covered her mouth upon hearing those certain words.
“He's dead”.
As if she had been hoping her life wouldn't get worse, she had already made up her mind. She really, really despised Deidara now. And she knew she would be killed if she straight up abandoned post.
However, on her next solo mission, she managed to leave a scroll for the Hokage and wanted word passed silently between the Five Kage's. She was playing both sides as of now, but desperately wanted out.
Would they believe her?
No. Not yet at least.
Age 19
Silence. She had succumbed herself with silence, almost like a vow she had taken. Deidara, Sasori, they were dead and war was coming.
She promised herself she would hate Deidara for what he did to Gaara, but she couldn't help but feel pity. Deidara was only a teenager when he died. [I think he was nineteen?]
With the Fourth Shinobi War coming, she was scared. Having no idea what to even do, Hokkaido assumed she would die.
Because I'm a lil bitch, I'm making you wait until she turns 20 for more details.
Age 20
The Akatsuki was no more. Almost all had died, and Hokkaido felt a slight empty feeling in her heart as she sat in front of the Five Kage's.
This was judgement. Would she be allowed to repent and become a better person or be banished forever, or die? Her mind was going wild.
Though, she couldn't help the feeling of ease as she saw Gaara, the Kazekage and boy she used to know, standing and perfectly fine.
“During the time of my extraction, I could see she wanted nothing to do with the Akatsuki organization. She looked almost forced to be there”.
The words Gaara spoke made her face turn pink and look away. Why was he trying to help her when she had fallen into the wrong group of people?
As if she hadn't already felt like she had succumbed herself in a repetitive cycle of falling for Gaara each day she thought about it, him helping her only dragged her deeper into the pit.
And Kami, he was so beautiful.
“and I'd like to offer that if you don't trust her, that's fine. She can return to Suna with me and Kankurō. She can build herself from there”.
So she moves to Suna and begins working on herself as a person, much of the things she had thought about was the very questions Gaara had asked along the way.
“why help me?” she had asked, the gaze he gave her was hard but he responded with: “you aren't the only one who was in the wrong. It would be wrong of anyone to not let you change yourself. I was given a chance and was once feared and hated, so can you answer this for me, do you wamt to live? Do you want to start a new beginning? If so, keep walking with us”.
And so she walked.
Age 21
Life in Suna was much different than the Hidden Rain or Leaf. Not many people would contact her or look her way for the first few days. After all she was an outsider and reformed terrorist.
Hokkaido had grown close to Temari once more, as well as Kankurō. These two, when free, helped her with the adjustment.
Hokkaido had left Amegakure behind, the ache in her heart subsiding as she realized Ichika had grown into a decent young child and chose to not become a shinobi, considering shinobi had too many hardships and heartaches to deal with.
As for Gaara, the two often spent time gardening and cultivating cacti.
Something from the past had finally been planted. The flower seeds Zetsu had given her way back on her birthday spent with the Akatsuki.
The katana that Kisame had given her was placed on a display.
Her Traditional Japanese Sword Display
The katana which is the most recognized full sized samurai sword and is often the first piece in any collection. It sits at the bottom and has a beautiful violet ito handle wrap.
The second would be the wakizashi which is a mid-sized sword that resembles the katana and the ito handle wrap was midnight blue.
Then the third which is a tanto. The tanto is the shortest of the swords or in many examples can be as short as today's standard survival styled knife. The ito wrap is black.
This is an example of how the stand is:
Age 21
The mask Tobi had given her had brought up bitter memories and had long sense been tossed into a storage box.
Her fingerless gloves had been destroyed during the war, but since she used them for swordplay, Temari had gotten her a new pair as a gift.
The wooden figure Sasori had given her of Gaara was more or less embarassing since she lived with the sand siblings and had hidden it away in the storage box.
Her panda sat on her bed, displayed and untouched except for during the night.
Age 22
Upon the next year, Hokkaido watched as relationships blossomed between many people, marriages and children coming into the world, she began wondering if she would ever have something like this in her own life. She highly doubted it.
Having been back and forth from Konohagakure, she grew closer to Shikamaru once more from childhood as she often joined the male and Temari on days they'd spend time together.
Other times, Hokkaido would stick to Kankurō and help with making puppets, she rather enjoyed painting them.
And occasionally, when Gaara was free, the two would still garden together and had began talking more, sometimes the two would even go out to the village and walk around together.
Her feelings for Gaara seemed to only hrow stronger as she had grown older, and she imagined herself having a future with him. It always made her heart hammer and her face turn blood red.
This year, she had cut most of her hair off to her shoulders as it had grown too long. She soon admits her feelings to Gaara, unsurprisingly, he was silent.
She most definitely assumed she blew it, but nearly a week later, Gaara had shyly asked if she would allow him to court her.
This was most definitely the beginning of a new and beautiful relationship.

I found this post and I really love the prompt so it goes like this "you're unfairly good at everyhting but I'm strong enough to carry you bride-style and this for some reason renders you speachless" I'm sorry it's not a nermaid thing.
It doesn’t have to be a mermaid thing! You’re good! I just thought it would be On Theme for the month dfshgdfg
ANYWAY YES THIS IS A TOP-TIER PROMPT it’s,,, Kirishima @ Bakugou tbh
so um. it might have taken a while to write this but have like, a whole 4k fic? i don’t know how to drabble,, apparently,,,
Eijirou was in love.
Okay, well, maybe that was a little over-exaggeration of his feelings. Maybe it was being dramatic - especially since he wasn’t actually with the object of his affections (yet) - but dramatic suited his would-be suitor.
Or, Eijirou thought. Am I the suitor?
It wasn’t like he was actively persuing anything… Whatever, the point was that Eijirou was desperately in love with one Bakugou Katsuki, his long-time best friend and the owner of his entire heart and most of his soul. And who could blame him? Bakugou was perfect.
It might not be an opinion that everyone shared of the blond bombshell. He was prickly and wore an almost permanent scowl. He was the grumpiest, grouchiest bastard that Eijirou had ever met. He swore liberally, was unapologetically self-confident almost to the point of arrogance, and he exploded stuff. He’d been even worse when he was younger.
The thing was, as Bakugou’s best friend, Eijirou saw the other side of him, too. Where Bakugou’s walls were raised high around him, he’d carved out a small door for Eijirou and a few of their closest friends to let them in.
Where most saw Bakugou as a unfriendly and standoffish guy, Eijirou saw the introverted young man who was shy and just didn’t want to admit it. Where most heard the blistering language that rolled off of Bakugou’s tongue, Eijirou heard the Bakugou who was bad with words and at a loss for how to really express himself. Bakugou was way more into physical expression than verbal. He didn’t like to talk about feelings or ‘gross sappy shit like that’.
Most people didn’t bother trying to get through Bakugou’s walls to see the part of him that really, truly cared about people. It had been a stunted, shrivelled sort of thing when Bakugou had started at UA. Now, five years later and two into actual hero work, it was like a tree in full bloom. Bakugou cared, in his own way.
His drive was unparalleled. Once Bakugou Katsuki set his mind on something, god, he was gonna get it. Eijirou didn’t doubt for a second that he’d snag the Number One Hero spot at some point in his career. Bakugou inspired Eijirou, he always had.
Bakugou was also absolutely, mind-bendingly smoking hot. Which, you know, that didn’t hurt Eijirou’s attraction to him one bit.
One of the things that Eijirou found most appealing about his friend was his sheer level of competency. In like, any situation. Eijirou would think that maybe they were stuck on something - in a hopeless situation, on an investigation, anything, really - and then Bakugou’s face would do the thing. He’d get one of his special thinky-faces on, the one that meant he was trying to remember something. Then his eyes - bright and shiny and the most gorgeous deep red - would widen slightly as he pulled on all the strings inside his head and found himself weaving up a thought.
Bakugou would bark out a laugh, one of Eijirou’s favourite Bakugou laughs because this one meant I’ve got it, we’ve won, and proceed to obliterate whatever their obstacle was. Bakugou had done a whole lot of things, somehow. He’d done ballet and acrobatics in addition to martial arts to shape his movements as he fought. He was musical. Origami swans had saved their necks twice, somehow, and Eijirou had nearly died for other reasons that one time Katsuki had had to teach him how to tango for that one undercover mission they’d gone on. Both of them had worn awful wigs. Eijirou remembered the mission fondly.
One thing that Bakugou Katsuki still wasn’t great at doing, however, was knowing when he was beaten. Kaminari often joked that Bakugou had no off-switch. He never stopped.
Not even when his leg was cut up from hip-to-calf and there were seven other heroes on the scene.
“Don’t make me call timeout on you, Zero,” Eijirou growled, holding onto Bakugou’s shoulder to stop him rushing after the villain that Eijirou was pretty sure Battle Fist had already smacked down into the ground. Bakugou tried to keep walking. “You’re bleeding. Like, badly.”
“They can stitch it later,” Bakugou said, eyes darting around.
Eijirou narrowed his own eyes. “Once you’ve passed out from blood loss, you mean?”
Bakugou glared at him and tried to shake Eijirou’s hand off his shoulder. “Don’t mother-hen me, Red.”
“Oh yeah,” Eijirou huffed, doubling down on his grip. “Because not wanting my partner to drop ‘cause he’s being stubborn is unreasonable.”
“Exactly,” Bakugou said, raising one hand. It was already popping a little. Was he going to try and blast Eijirou’s hand off of him? He ought to know that wouldn’t work by now.
Eijirou sighed. “Well, if you’re gonna act like a baby about it… It’s timeout time.”
Bakugou only had time to frown at him before Eijirou was scooping him up into a bridal-style lift. Bakugou squawked and let off a couple of bangs from his hands. They achieved exactly nothing.
“Let me go, you bastard!” Bakugou snapped. He wasn’t wriggling too much, though. His leg must have been really painful. Eijirou tried not to jostle it. “Put me down!”
“Nope!” Eijirou said, and he looked around to see if he could see any medical assistance. If not, well, the hospital wasn’t too far from here… Bakugou folded his arms over his chest and pouted. Good, he’d accepted his fate.
There were no medics set up around here, so Eijirou set off at a light jog towards the route to the hospital. He could feel warmth dripping down one of his arms and grimaced to himself. Bakugou really was losing blood, huh? He was lucky that the villain hadn’t caught one of his major blood vessels.
It didn’t take very long until the hospital was in sight, and Eijirou glanced down at Bakugou, who was staring fixedly at his own knees with a weird expression on his face.
“Hey man, you holding up?” Eijirou asked, wondering if Bakugou was in more pain than he’d thought or like, fainting or something. He shifted Bakugou’s weight in his arms a little.
Bakugou nodded, flushing pink? “Just get me to the docs already.”
“You got it, dude,” Eijirou said, jogging around the hospital building until he saw the sign for A&E. People moving outside the hospital caught sight of them and ogled. Man, they were probably both covered in blood, huh? This’d probably make the news.
It was worth it if Bakugou was okay, though. Eijirou was beginning to get worried - his friend had gone pale again, paler than he should be, and quiet, too. Quiet and Bakugou did not mix. He sped up a little and then all of a sudden he was at the desk in A&E.
“Uh,” Eijirou managed to get out, but the receptionist had seen them coming and a doctor was already rushing over.
“Over here, Red Riot,” the doctor said, showing Eijirou to a free bed. He laid Bakugou down on it as gently as he could. Nurses swarmed under the doctor’s direction, and before Eijirou knew what was going on, he was being bundled into a waiting room chair with a shock blanket and a mug of cocoa.
He texted Mina to go to his and Bakugou’s apartment to pick up some fresh clothes for them both as she had a spare key, and then he was just waiting. He offered himself as a blood donor - as an O-Neg he was a universal donor - but the doctors had deemed it unnecessary. They had plenty of blood for Bakugou to have. That was good. He thought that they had probably stitched him up by now, and maybe even used a medical quirk.
“Red Riot?”
Eijirou looked up. One of the nurses from earlier stood in front of him. “Oh, uh, hi! How’s Ground Zero doing?”
“Good,” said the nurse. “His injuries have been treated and he’s currently being given painkillers for it. He is currently asleep, but would you like to sit in with him?”
Eijirou glanced down at his soiled clothes. “Am I allowed, with all of this gunk on me?”
“His injuries have all been cleaned and dressed, so unless you try to remove any of them, I think you’ll be safe,” the nurse grinned. “Follow me.”
Eijirou did. He was led through a few different corridors and into a ward with individual rooms. The nurse pushed one door open and then there was Bakugou. He looked a lot cleaner and was a far better colour than he had been. Eijirou let out a sigh of relief and went to sit on one of the visitors’ chairs.
“Thanks,” he told the nurse, who smiled again and left the room after telling Eijirou to yell if anything was amiss.
Eijirou stared at Bakugou’s face. “You’re a fucking idiot.”
One of Bakugou’s eyes cracked open. “Yeah.”
“Huh,” Eijirou said. “No arguing with me any more? Those painkillers must be strong.”
“I’m so fuckin’ high right now,” Bakugou agreed. “Sorry.”
“Apologies, too? Man, I should keep some of this stuff and slip it to you the next time you get too grumpy.”
Bakugou grinned at him. “Nah, ya like me when I’m grumpy.”
Damn, well, that was true.
“Yeah, I do,” Eijirou said, and prodded Bakugou’s chest. “So stop ending up in here. This one’s gonna leave a real nasty scar.”
“Mmhmm,” Bakugou said, closing his eyes again. “Sooner I rest up, sooner I’ll be cleared to leave this fuckin’ place. So shut ya trap.”
“Charming,” Eijirou said with a snort.
“I know I am,” Bakugou mumbled. “Shut up.”
Eijirou patted Bakugou on the shoulder. “Yeah. I’ll be here when you wake up again, yeah?”
“Better fuckin’ be,” Bakugou said, and then his face dropped into the genuine relaxation of sleep.
Mina was a goddamn lifesaver. She had brought them their clothes, informed Bakugou that he was a moron for making everyone worry about him, and then swept herself off with no wriggling eyebrows or probing about Eijirou basically gluing himself to Bakugou’s side. She had also taken away their dirtied costumes ‘to be burned’.
The hospital staff had given Bakugou the A-Okay to head home (and rest his leg, which Eijirou was going to have to enforce, somehow). Now all they had to do was physically get out of the hospital.
That was easier said than done.
“I do not need a fuckin’ wheelchair,” Bakugou insisted, despite the fact he wasn’t really supposed to walk in case his stitches ripped. He had woken up on the wrong side of everything, let alone the bed, and now that they’d taken him off the strong painkillers the reality of his injury had settled in.
Eijirou was losing his patience with his friend. “Stop swearing at the staff, Bakugou.”
“I do whatever I damn well please,” Bakugou spat, glowering. “Fucking antibiotics, feel like shit. I’m allowed to cuss, I’m an adult.”
“It’s not professional, man,” Eijirou said. “What if a kid in the hospital hears you? They’re gonna repeat what Ground Zero says.”
“It’s education.”
Eijirou’s mouth threatened to twitch up. No! He wasn’t amused!
“Dude,” said Eijirou. “You suck.”
Bakugou scowled at him. “You wish.”
Eijirou took a moment for himself to scream internally. Being head over heels for this man was incredibly testing at times. He had a suspicion that Bakugou knew, from comments like that, but he could never be sure. Eijirou pinched the bridge of his nose. “Are you going to get into the chair? Or are you hoping that you’ll start spontaneously levitating?”
“I just don’t want the press to get me in one of those things,” Bakugou said, pouting to the side.
“There’s literally nothing wrong with being in a wheelchair, Bakugou,” Eijirou said.
Bakugou scoffed. “Of course not! But the tabloids’ll overreact and make out like I’m dying or I’ve lost my leg or some stupid shit like that. It’ll affect the rankings.”
Eijirou sighed. Bakugou narrowed his eyes and Eijirou held up his hands. “I get it, bro, the world is stupid. They probably already got me carrying you in here covered in blood, though. I could carry you back out again?”
“And do what, carry me the whole way home?” Bakugou snapped.
“Sure, why not?” Eijirou shrugged. “If it gets you out of the hospital.”
Bakugou glared at him. “Why n- We live three fuckin’ miles away, dipshit!”
“And?”
Bakugou blinked. “And that’s a fuckin’ long way to go if you’re lugging someone along with you.”
“Not really, ‘cause I’m like,” Eijirou paused to reorganise his words. “I’ve definitely carried more than you for further before.”
“Excuse me,” said one of the nurses. “So will you be using the wheelchair or not?”
“Not,” Bakugou said.
Oh, wait, so the carrying thing wasn’t hypothetical. Okay.
“Alright, let’s go then,” Eijirou said, walking over to where Bakugou was sitting with his legs dangling over the side of the hospital bed, signed discharge papers in his hand ready to give to reception. Eijirou tried to pretend that his heart wasn’t thundering in his chest. He failed.
No use agonising over it! Eijirou scooped Bakugou up. Bakugou slung one of his arms around Eijirou’s neck - for balance, probably - and lay the other with the discharge papers over his lap.
“You good?” Eijirou asked. Bakugou nodded. “I’m not grabbing your cut, right?”
Bakugou shook his head.
“Comfy?” Eijirou asked. Bakugou nodded. Okay, that was weird, he’d gone quiet. And slightly red. Was that like, a symptom of something, or? “Cat got ya tongue, man?”
Bakugou went pale, and then red again, almost like some kind of squid thing that Eijirou had seen on a wildlife documentary once.
“Ba-”
“Just go already,” Bakugou muttered, scowling at the papers he was holding.
“Alright,” Eijirou said, thanking the nurse and striding from the room.
“Home, sweet home,” Eijirou said, setting Bakugou down for the first time since they’d left the hospital. They weren’t quite in yet, but Eijirou did sort of need to unlock the door. He kept ahold of Bakugou’s arm to make sure he stood in one place, and then the door was open and he was picking Bakugou up again.
So what if he was enjoying all this extra contact? Sue him.
“Sofa or bed, Bakugou?” Eijirou asked, and Bakugou jumped slightly in his arms. He’d have his Thinking Really Hard face on all the way home and had barely said a word.
“Sofa,” Bakugou said. Eijirou set him down and Bakugou leant back into the cushions with his Thoughtful Scowl on again.
Eijirou sat next to him, breathing out a sigh of relief that they were finally home and mostly back in one piece after the fight today. Eijirou had dealt with knife quirks before - on his hero debut, even! - but while his quirk protected him from the worst of any sharp things, it meant that he no longer really got aimed at and it was harder for him to take hits.
Man, if the knife villain had gotten Eijirou? He’d’ve come away from the battle totally unharmed and desperately seeking a new pair of trousers or something. But no. The villain had got his best friend instead, and now everything was going to be a hassle for a while. Patrols without Bakugou didn’t suck, but they did get a little dull, and Eijirou would always be worrying that Bakugou had fallen over or something and injured himself more without anyone around to help him.
“You wanna get take out tonight?” Eijirou asked. He was gonna order it anyway because he didn’t want to cook and he wasn’t gonna let Bakugou do it. Bakugou grunted - probably in agreement - and Eijirou realised that he was still on his no-talking thing. “Dude, what’s up?”
Bakugou levelled a glare at him. “Take a wild guess.”
“Nuh uh, that ain’t gonna fly,” Eijirou said. “You’re moping, or something. Injuries make you angry. You get louder. Not whatever this is.”
“The fuck do you know?” Bakugou grumbled. Eijirou reached out and whacked Bakugou’s shoulder lightly.
“I know you, man,” Eijirou said.
“Ugh,” Bakugou said. “I guess you do.”
He was still looking at Eijirou, expression shifting and shifting so quickly that Eijirou couldn’t keep up. Bakugou’s thoughts must have been racing - and for such a quick-thinking guy that speed must be intense.
“You don’t have to say anything,” Eijirou said, launching into his usual get-Bakugou-to-open-up-about-things spiel. “But I’m here for ya, Bakugou.”
“Yeah, you are,” Bakugou said, face moving into a frown. Huh? “Why?”
“What?”
“Why are you here?” Bakugou asked. “Why do you want to be here?”
Well, this was not exactly the conversation Eijirou had envisioned having… Like, ever. “You’re my best frien-”
“That’s not what I meant, Kirishima,”Bakugou growled, cutting Eijirou off with a glare. What, was Eijirou not giving the right answer to his vague and nebulous question? “It- Ugh. What do you want from me?”
Eijirou blinked. “What? Nothing.”
“No, there isn’t nothing,” Bakugou snapped. Huh? Eijirou didn’t understand what Bakugou was saying. Was this just from all the pain meds, even if the loopy ones weren’t being used any more? Did Bakugou think that Eijirou was only hanging out with him for… For what? Personal gain? What would that even be? Years of friendship (and feelings) down the line and Bakugou thought this? Bakugou clacked his teeth together and frowned harder. “Stop- Stop thinking whatever you’re thinking.”
“Wh-”
“No, fuck, let me just,” Bakugou grimaced, looking off to the side. Oh, this was some weird feelings thing, wasn’t it? No wonder Bakugou wasn’t making any sense. Eijirou still felt tense, but not quite as alarmed. “You carried me home for three fucking miles, Kirishima! What do I- How the hell am I supposed to- Ugh!”
Oh, Eijirou thought he could see the picture of things, now. “You don’t need to give anything back to me for that, Bakugou! It’d be selfish to ask for you to repay me for something I volunteered to do!”
“Well, maybe you should be,” Bakugou said. Eijirou tilted his head. Bakugou glanced at him and away again. “Be selfish, I mean! You’re always fucking giving. Giving and giving and never taking a single thing back for yourself and it drives me up the fucking wall!”
Eijirou shook his head. “There’s nothing I need from anyone that I don’t already have.”
“What about what you want,” Bakugou said. He fixed Eijirou with his stare again and something in his expression made Eijirou’s stomach do somersaults. “Is there anything you want from me that I could give you?”
Eijirou met Bakugou’s burning gaze.
Everything, his brain supplied.
Bakugou’s eyes widened slightly, and Eijirou realised that he’d said the word aloud. Before he could even think about being horrified, Bakugou’s scowl slipped from his face. It was replaced by a triumphant grin.
“Oh thank fuck you finally said it,” Bakugou said, leaning over into Eijirou’s space. Eijirou could feel his whole face burning. “‘Cause if I never got the chance to tell you how god damned hot it is that you can carry me in your arms for three fucking miles without even breaking a sweat, I think I would’ve died.”
Eijirou couldn’t provide a response to that. His lips were occupied, all of a sudden. With Bakugou. Because Bakugou was kissing him, and kind of insistently. Eijirou allowed himself a few more moments to be utterly confused, and then he wrapped his arms around Bakugou and kissed him back with just as much enthusiasm as Bakugou was putting in.
“That’s a little dramatic,” Eijirou said, when they parted to breathe.
Bakugou snorted. “You know who you’re dealing with.”
“Mmhm,” Eijirou said, kissing Bakugou again and finding himself delighted by the way he reacted. When had Bakugou crawled into his lap? “Uh… We should probably talk about this.”
“I’m fuckin’ crazy about you. We’re dating now. That enough talkin’ for ya?”
Probably not, but- Bakugou kissed him again. And again. And again. Eijirou laughed into the kisses, and began to run his hands down Bakugou’s sides. “Wait, um. So does this make you my boyfriend, Katsuki?“
“Fuck, yes,” Bakugou said. Or should it just be Katsuki now? Yeah, Eijirou liked the sound of that. “You- Ow! Watch it!”
Eijirou winced, pulling his hand away from Katsuki’s hip. “Oops! I forgot! Are you okay?”
“Dumbass,” Katsuki said, but fondly.
“For the record, I’m crazy about you, too,” Eijirou said, taking advantage of the lull to speak. “I’ve been kind of head over heels for you since school.“
“I know,” Katsuki said. Oh.
“Wait,” Eijirou raised an eyebrow. “You knew? Like, since when?”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Since forever. You’re not subtle.”
Eijirou blinked. “What? Then- Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I dunno,” Katsuki said, pulling himself back to lay against the sofa cushions again. “I was confused about it for a long-ass while.”
“So, you’re not confused any more?” Eijirou asked. It didn’t really need to be asked, given the way that Katsuki had kissed him just now, but Eijirou wanted everything out in the open.
“No,” Katsuki lifted his good leg and prodded Eijirou’s chest with his foot. “I’ve been flirting with you for like, a fuckin’ year now. Thought it’d finally spur you to action but noooo, you have to be all self-depreciating and second-guessing shit all the time.”
“A year?” Eijirou said, feeling his mouth fall open. His brain scanned through all of their recent interactions - there was a lot to sift through. Oh, that explained a few things. Eijirou put a hand over his face. “God, I’m an idiot.”
“Yeah,” Katsuki said. He beckoned Eijirou over with a finger. “But you’re my idiot now, so come here.”
Eijirou crawled over him, mindful of Katsuki’s injured leg. Katsuki hooked his arms around Eijirou’s neck and drew him into a languid kiss.
“I love you,” Eijirou said, feeling a shiver down his spine as the words left his mouth. Wait, fuck, it was too soon for that and Katsuki was probably going to-
“Holy shit,” Katsuki said, turning bright red. “Fuck- Fucking warn a guy if you’re gonna say something that sappy!”
“I’m sorry, I, uh-”
Katsuki slammed a hand over Eijirou’s mouth. “Don’t you fucking dare take it back, Eijirou.”
Oh, Eijirou thought. That was the first time he used my given name.
“I,” Katsuki swallowed, his flushed face darkening further. “I love you too.”
The shiver that followed Katsuki’s statement dwarfed any he’d experienced previously. It felt like his soul was on fire. Eijirou didn’t know how to respond, so he kissed Katsuki again.
“I love you,” he said, pressing his lips to Katsuki’s jaw. “I love you,” he said, kissing Katsuki’s cheek. He continued, saying those three words over and over and peppering kisses all over Katsuki’s face. “I love you. I love you. I love you.”
Katsuki grinned, happier than Eijirou had ever seen. He could feel Katsuki’s fingers running through his hair at the back of his head. “Fuck, I love you. So fucking much.”
Eijirou pressed their foreheads together.
“Katsuki,” Eijirou said, but not for any particular reason. He just wanted to say Katsuki’s name.
“Eijirou,” Katsuki echoed. “We still have to order food.”
“Oh, right!” Eijirou sat up.”Whaddya want?”
“You.”
Eijirou flushed. “Babe. Er, can I call you that?“
“Fuck, call me whatever you want,” Katsuki said, matching the shade of Eijirou’s face. “Curry?”
“Curry it is!” Eijirou said, climbing off of Katsuki and the sofa and making his way over to the phone to call their usual place. He rattled off their order, maybe a little quicker than usual. Once it was confirmed, he put the phone down and turned to stare at Katsuki.
Katsuki looked back at him. Eijirou didn’t think he’d looked away, and that was just. It was something. Eijirou’s stomach flipped and flopped. Katsuki patted the space next to him on the sofa and Eijirou made his way back over. No sooner had he sat down, than Katsuki’s arm circled his waist and pulled him close. Katsuki buried his face into Eijirou’s shoulder, and Eijirou echoed his hum.
“Wish you’d wised up sooner,” Bakugou said, voice slightly muffled. “Coulda been doing this for fuckin’ ages.”
“Well, we can do it now, and as much as we want,” Eijirou said, twisting to press a kiss into Katsuki’s hair.
“Mm,” Katsuki mumbled, pushing his face down harder. “Wanna post something mushy on social media?”
“Shouldn’t we run it by the PR team, first?” Eijirou asked.
Katsuki looked up at him. “Fuck that. Tell the world you’re in love with me already.“
Eijirou grinned, because he did.

Send me questions for my OCs?? Please?? :’)
4. What do they consider to be an unforgivable action? Why?
June:
Any betrayal of their trust. It takes a lot for June to trust someone, so if they hurt them... They would not take it well. But then again they are June, so somebody taking their parking spot could spawn a lifelong grudge.
Myriad:
He deals with people who have commited unforgivable actions for a living. Anyone who hurts innocent people for no reason other than their own asshole-ery is on his hit list.
Emala:
Of herself: not being able to save someone. Of everyone else: needless cruelty.
August:
Being lied to.
Ben:
There's not a lot he won't forgive, he's a very gentle person who has all the reasons to believe in second-chances. On the other hand, someone hurting Emala or his students...
Mars:
An insult to his pride.. And being left behind.
Ginger:
She would sure find someone trying to pin her down or hold her back unforgivable.
Dante:
Those he cares for being hurt. Dante doesn't hold grudges, but he is very practical. If he's given you plenty of chances and you cross a certain line, he will deal with you however he sees fit.
Jesse:
Jesse is a very understanding and forgiving person... about most things. However bigotry is something he cannot stand.
Vrox:
He has a hard time controlling any strong emotion, including anger, but he tends to cool down just as quickly as he heats up (stubborn as he is.) Anyone hurting Jesse, Dante or his family. Jesse has infected him with pure rage over human rights issues too.
Alric:
Alric doesn't forgive anything.
Kiode:
Injustice and corruption.
Falkner:
Not a lot bothers Falkner. They keep themself at an emotional distance from everyone and everything. But boy can they hold a grudge against people who fuck them over.
5. Do they have any nicknames or pet names or other aliases?
June:
Dante gets to call them “boss”. That’s it.
Myriad:
Myriad is actually a nickname. In fact, if you talk to all their friends and acquaintences, you’ll realize that everybody calls them by a different name. What’s their real name?? You’ll never know.
Emala:
Everyone calls her Mala. She’s given her little patients permission to call her Emmy. August and Mars call her sweetheart and Baby affectionately, because that is still how they’ll always see her.
August:
Augi, just because it embarrasses her.
Ben:
Ben is half a nickname and half a new taken name. His old name was Capricorn. Ginger calls him Capri Sun.
Mars:
Haha nope. Apart from some normal petnames like babe from his romantic partners, but even those are more tolerated than appreciated.
Ginger:
Ginger is a nickname. + A mountain of silly pet names from her girlfriends.
Dante:
Dante is a nickname, his real name is Diệu. Apart from that, none. He’s not really the type of guy you give nicknames to. (And yet there’s all the incredibly sappy and teasing nicknames he gets from Jesse and Vrox, and the far less flattering ones he gets from the pack. None of them bear repeating.)
Jesse:
Jess is the usual.
Vrox:
V. It started off with just Jesse calling him it, but now every member of the pack has adopted it. He gets sweeter nicknames like “asshole” or “douchebag” from the pack too tho.
Alric:
Jesse calls him Al. Only Jesse.
Kiode:
“EeeEEEeeeEEeeeE!!” Let me explain. Kiode prefers to get up very early and get shit done so she can go back to bed later in the morning and chill with a cup of coffee. Emala sleeps in pretty late on her days off. So when Mala wakes up to find her not in bed, she used to go “KiodeeeEEeEEee” to ask her to come back to bed. Over time that devolved into Emala, swaddled in blankets, prettily screeching “eEEEeeEEeeEEE!” to let her girlfriend know she was ready for cuddles. Apart from that incredibly silly inside joke, Kiode doesn’t like being given nicknames. She likes her name.
Falkner:
Just Falk by those brave enough. But when they were dating, Vrox gave them the nickname Licks, because of their mild oral fixation (relax, they just like having things like toothpicks in their mouth. Which explains why they were dating Vrox in the first place.)
8. Do they consider themselves a friendly person or aloof?
June:
They’re about as aloof as you can possibly get. You could even go far enough to call them an unfriendly grinch.
Myriad:
Myriad loves meeting people and getting into trouble. They very friendly, charming and enthusiastic and their energy is infectious.
Emala:
She’s on the introverted side, and she can be very busy and distant, but she appreciates her friends a lot and she likes having interesting conversations with new people.
August:
She’s very aloof to people she doesn’t know and she doesn’t have many friends (because of insecurities and social anxiety, not because she thinks she’s better than people, contrary to popular opinion.) She’s the queen who sits at the table by herself because everyone is too nervous to approach, knowing they’re not on her level. Her partners are all people who know they’re on her level and find her interesting. The people who do get to know her know what a mess [affectionate] she is.
Ben:
Ben is a big introvert, he keeps to himself and he doesn’t like talking much, especially to stranger (not all because of being an introvert, his throat hurts him a lot when he speaks, he avoids it when possible.) He’s not unfriendly though, if somebody reaches out to him he’ll be polite and warm, if a little awkward.
Mars:
He speaks to a lot of people, but he’s not exactly friendly. He’s very charismatic and likes to charm people, he likes feeling respected and adored by as many people as possible.
Ginger:
She’s very friendly, in her own brash way.
Dante:
He’s not exactly friendly, he doesn’t really reach out to people to make new friends, but for some reason people just gravitate toward him. He makes friends whether he wants to or not - mostly he’s grateful for it, though.
Jesse:
He’s the peak of friendliness. He loves connecting with and helping people. Getting to know and fall in love with complete strangers is one of his favourite things. He has a very easy and warm energy to him that makes it easy for him to fall into conversations with random strangers and come away with a new friend.
Vrox:
He’s not really friendly, he’s just a big extrovert, and... honestly, he’s very polarizing. You either love him, or you hate him. People feel very strongly about him one way or another. One does not simply have a neutral opinion about Vrox.
Alric:
HahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Kiode:
Kiode is a very... steady person. She’s not exactly out looking for friends, but a lot of people find her calmness soothing. Her friends are typically very ride-or-die, she doesn’t do things by halves, especially not relationships.
Falkner:
God no, they’re not friendly. They’re not hostile or aloof either. They just really like being alone and that shows in how they hold themself around other people; it deterrs them being approached, and they like it like that. The few friends they have aren’t super close, they give Falk their space and they appeciate it.
9. What is your character’s trigger point? What makes them angry, sad or makes them go off?
June:
June has a hair trigger, half due to just. who they are as a person, and half due to whatever bad day they’re having. Their PTSD can influence what they see as a threat. Their sadness tends to show itself as anger a lot of the time. Something as simple as them reading insult into a perfectly harmless conversation they’re having can set them off. They have a very hard time figuring out if their emotional reaction to something is valid or just their brain tricking them... which in turn makes them even more frustrated and upset.
Myriad:
Myriad is a very easy-going person - even more so on the outside. They’re very good at lying and acting, and do not let their anger show unless they want them to. They will show their sadness to their close friends, and things that make them upset are typically good people being screwed over by circumstance and life. Their targets, though... they see their anger.
Emala:
She hates being seen as weak or being condescended to: she knows her own worth and demands respect for it. Even her siblings seeing her as their “baby” sister can annoy her at times. She can be a bit bossy and can get frustrated when people don’t listen to her. Losing a patient can easily send her into a depressive and self-loathing spiral.
August:
August is easily mildly annoyed and easily depressed. Her own insecurities can upset her, and she can be quite prickly which can lead to her being offended.
Ben:
Ben is a “If you poured soup in my lap I’d apologize to you” type of guy. He gets sad and/or depressed much more than he gets angry. He cries at vidoes of cute animals. It really doesn’t take much.
Mars:
Literally anything has the ability to send Mars into a blind rage if he’s in the wrong mood.
Ginger:
Ginger is driven by emotion, she prides herself on living life led by her heart. Things like people just being rude or mean for no reason can set her off. Not a lot makes her sad, though. Getting broken-up-with just leads to ice cream eating and crying for a day.
Dante:
He has a similar issue with his PTSD as June, however he is much better at disguising it and internalizing it so as not to upset other people (which is self-destructive.) He is surprisingly easily angered, but again, he’s good at pushing it down and hiding it. He can’t hide sadness as well, though. You can just tell when he’s sad. It can be very hard for him to pull himself out of a rut once he’s in it, luckily he’s got a lot of people around him who know him well, love him and want to help him.
Jesse:
Just how unfair the world is pisses him off. Jesse has been alive since 1900 and he’s pissed at how little things have changed in the world below the surface. Anyone being a transphobic/racist/homophobic dick sets him off. His dysphoria can make him extremely sad sometimes, same as not being able to help people who need it.
Vrox:
Vrox has pretty damn servere emotional dysregulation. Depending on where his brain is at, he can be upset by almost anything. Things like little changes in his partners’ behaviours make him think he’s upset them and he’s a terrible person, and then there’s the fistfights he gets into because someone happened to piss him off at the wrong time. He hates it and is constantly trying to get better.
Alric:
Alric is very good at shutting down his emotions (at least, he thinks so.) Even if something angers him, he doesn’t have to act, he’s not controlled by his emotions like Vrox, for example. He’s very cold and practical about how he does things. If somebody is being blasphemous in front of him, he doesn’t need to do put them in their place right away. But later he’ll find that person and he’ll make them regret it.
Kiode:
Her anger is very cold. You know you’ve pushed her too far when she gets scary quiet and precise. She does have a very good mask in place, however. Things like people looking down on her, being rude, being extremely arrogant (especially arrogant men), or putting others in danger are things she can not abide.
Falkner:
If you betray them or treat them like a total d-bag, Falkner will remember. They have a very long memory, and their anger does not cool quickly.
10. What kind of jokes make them laugh?
June:
This is going to be extremely shocking, you might want to sit down......... Dark humour.
Myriad:
Myriad’s sense of humour is very broad. They can laugh at extremely childish/meme stuff like “haha pp” but they can also tell they most elebourate stories like an actual stand-up routine and be hilarious. They just laugh a lot.
Emala:
She really likes inside jokes between friends. It doesn’t take a lot to make her laugh.
August:
August likes bantering. A good back and forth will always end in him laughing... He does like to “win”/get the last word though, and he tends to sulk if he doesn’t.
Ben:
Ben likes any harmless jokes that aren’t mean.
Mars:
He has a very sharp and unforgiving sense of humour, it can be mocking at times, but he keeps it rounded out in public for a good image. He and August poke fun at each other constantly - apart from his sisters, though, he can’t take a joke that’s making fun of him.
Ginger:
She’s Australian.
Dante:
He finds some things funny, but it’s very hard to get him to laugh. Vrox has actually been surprised the few times he’s made him laugh. No, I won’t tell you what Vrox said that made him laugh, it’s very inappropriate. It really is just random what can make him laugh at any given time.
Jesse:
He definitely has a meme sense of humour. The amount of times Dante has asked why he’s killing himself with laughter, only for Jesse to have to try and explain why an oversatured picture of a cheese stick is funny- At least Vrox gets it. He also finds vidoes of people sliding/falling over on ice funny for some reason (it’s because his dad used to hate ice and he would always slip and wobble his way around, it still gets Jesse’s funny bone.)
Vrox:
Vrox has a “meaner” sense of humour in that he likes to poke fun at people. He’s sarcastic and like teasing people, but never in a malicious way, and he can take it when people give it back to him (most of the time.) His laugh is kind of annoying, but in an endearing way.
Alric:
You won’t get a laugh out of Alric, the most you’ll get is a tiny smile. This smile tends to pop up whenever Vrox or Dante get roasted, for some reason. But he gets irritated and protective when people tease Jesse.
Kiode:
She acually has a very silly sense of humour, which she tries to hide. Something as simple as someone mispronouncing a word in a certain tone can make her laugh. Emala took full advantage of this while they were dating.
Falkner:
Falkner doesn’t laugh a lot, no surprise there. Their sense of humour tends to be more sponatenous bizarre things happening. They do have a very nice laugh, tho!!
#the more I write for Mars the more I realize he is just desperate for attention and love lmao#tough shit motherfucker#my OCs#time to dump all my mental health issues on my characters I guess :')))

(1) Hi so I hope I'm somehow able to word this properly and not be an awful person (I'm sorry my emotions are still running kinda haywire). So yesterday my datemate told me that they are aromantic and they've known for about two months now and they didn't tell me earlier (even tho they hate lying/keeping secrets) bc they still love me (but not romantically of course) and they were worried I was going to cut ties with them completely in order to get over them and not want them in my life
anymore. Which I don't think I would have done, but given my past experience and personality, I think it was a reasonable thing to think. So after they told me that, I cried a lot and we talked about it some more, but it wasn't really a proper discussion since I was crying so hard. (I don't know if this helps but I'm an infj and my datemate (?) is an intj. I'm also asexual and they're pansexual. Sorry to dump this on you, I just think you're insightful and give good advice). We've been dating for 10 months now so it's a little bit hard finding this out after we've already been together for a while. While I understand why they waited 2 months to tell me (didn't want to hurt me, we were already dating, didn't want to permanently lose me) I'm still mad and wish they had told me earlier. I'm very future-oriented and I plan things out so far in advance, I was already imagining a future with them and was so happy and excited about it. I can change this image of coursebut it feels so sudden and it's like everything's been turned upside down. Last night I was overwhelmingly sad, and today I'm still sad but also angry. Maybe it wouldn't have but that's 2 months I could've spent stopping myself from getting attached to this future image. We talked about it together multiple times: what we each want, where we want to live, what kind of cats and dogs we want to own together. I know we can still live together, & I'd really really love that, it's just that someof the certainty of the future has been ripped away and it was really comforting and wonderful to think about. I really love them a lot and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather own cats with. Last night they said they'd still like to be in a romantic relationship with me and date me and continue doing everything else we've already been doing, but they don't want to be involved with any of those romantic rituals like getting married, etc. All I want right now is to continue our currentrelationship, especially since they want to and they really want to be in my future. It's just that I'm so attached to the idea of romantic love and marriage (it's so stupid though) and I don't know how to get away from that & I KNOW that no matter how much I'd like to continue this current relationship, I'm going to eventually want to get married and I don't want to regret anything. The ideal future would be for me to live with both them and someone else I'm married to in the same housebut all I can think about is how there's no way that'll ever work bc then that's three people's lives, jobs, wants and needs we'd have to coordinate in order to live in the same place and area. The probability of it working out is so unlikely & I don't know if I'd be even be able to find someone else to date who'd be willing to do that. I'm thinking the best option is for me to break off my current relationship with my datemate and do something more akin to a qpr, I just hate how vague anduncertain the future seems now. In the midst of this, I'm still mourning our past relationship (it was also my first romantic relationship). I really hope I didn't say anything to hurt their feelings last night but I tried to make as clear as possible that it's okay for them to be aromantic, I'm just upset about the changes to my vision of the future. Like if only I could get rid of this attachment to the idea of marriage and romantic love, and all that sappy stuff, then we could still continue our current relationship into the future the way it's been. I've just been so happy since (and before) we started dating at college and it's kinda of just a shocker, like I was too optimistic. I did get some warning from my instincts which I probably should've listened to (I hesitated before asking them out bc I thought they might've been aro but they said yes & later when they talked about possibly being polyarmorous I freaked out bc I went on a forum & lots of ppl had similarviews on platonic and romantic love and in poly and aro communities and I was worried that they were aro and I brought it up to them and at the time, they thought they were poly so they reassured me BUT two weeks after the convo realized they were aro. Fucking weirdass ni. Should've listened to it. In addition to this, I have become very attached to cuddling and physical intimacy and I don't want that to stop...but at the same time I'm worried I'm never going to stop liking them if I don'tstop the physical intimacy. Last night they said they'd be fine with whatever I wanted to do (become friends, continue the romantic relationship, or continue the romantic relationship and affection until I find someone else I want to date). Honestly the third option sounds the most appealing but I'm just worried I'm gonna be trapped in a limbo and that my new ideal future option is too unlikely to happen & by continuing the physical and emotional intimacy I'm keeping myself from formingother bonds with other people. I don't want to cut them out of my life, bc even if we ended the romantic relationship, we have become so close with each other, and I enjoy spending time with them more than anyone else at college right now. I know that they really value their relationship with me as well, since they said that they trust me more than anyone else and they have a lot of difficulty opening up to people. I'm not quite sure what kind of advice I'm asking for, maybe I just neededto write all of this out. I'm sorry this was so long, I just have so many emotions. I guess I'm wondering what your opinion is, & if you have any advice on dealing with overcoming the loss of a former vision of the future & replacing it with another one (the biggest question I guess). Also maybe any advice on whether or not you think it's something that would work & if I'm still being too optimistic. Do you have any tips on how to go about forming a qpr? Thank you so much! Feel free toanswer whenever you happen to have any time!! Also if any of these messages get lost or eaten by tumblr, let me know & I can resend them (I've saved them). I'm sorry this was so long! Thank you
Honestly I'm starting to feel a little bit better after writing all of that out and thinking about other possible future options (happy ones of course) and it's really nice. Thank you for your blog & all you do for the mbti community. Mbti always makes me feel better when I'm feeling bad and reading your thoughts and insights on it is always fun. I guess it's sorta distraction but it's still nice and isn't really hurting me so thanks
Okay so first i wanna establish i’m likely aro myself so i dont really have a great understanding of the differences between romantic and platonic feelings.
So, one thing I’m confused about is how the relationship would go if you proceeded like the INTJ suggested, (the same, but w no “rituals”). What exactly about the relationship right now would be romantic to you that wouldn’t continue, besides stuff like marriage? Bc I think the biggest disconnect wouldn’t be in not doing x y z, but in a difference in how you view the relationship. If they view the relationship somehow differently bc they are aro, what are those differences? Bc obviously it isn’t a sexual relationship but you were doing things that would be “romantic” rather than “friendly.” I think it would be helpful to try to figure out what has changed, really at all. Bc if you are viewing the relationship very differently from each other, I can see how that could cause pain.
It definitely seems like you want something more from the relationship than they do, and I do think that if you continued the relationship with you sort of pretending it’s a romantic relationship and them sort of pretending it’s a friendship, with you knowing it will never fulfill those expectations you had, it will feel like something is missing and bitterness/pain/disconnection might come from that. I think if you decided to continue the physical intimacy but say you’re friends, that’s what you’re going to end up doing. I think you shouldn’t cut them off or avoid them, it just wouldn’t be logical. I think you should keep your friendship, but try not to do anything you would see as romantic. Maybe a little space right now would be really good, for you especially, to get your head around it without any pressure or guilt. However, I do think that given time (esp given your types), you could change the nature of the relationship and move on in a way, especially bc it is your first relationship. I think you could be best friends, and you could end up with a different romantic partner that you have a healthy, fulfilling relationship with.
I do think you should trust your instincts, if they’re telling you anything at this point. It seems like doing so would put you in a place that feels natural.
I don’t have any tips on how to form a qpr bc i’ve never had one and don’t really have a want for one, but I do advise you to be careful, bc boy have a I seen people try to have a qpr with someone they clearly have a crush on and it isn’t fun for either of the people involved.
No prob man, I rlly hope it works out for you. I do think the venting helped you organize everything! I’m glad you like my blog, thanks :)!
