[Timmy Turner voice] I wish every Links Meet AU that uses Marin as a phantom to haunt and traumatize Link goes to hell no matter what
#No I am not vaguing any specific links meet au bc ive already seen four different ones that do this#Fun Fact! You can give ALTTP!Link different character conflict!#That doesn't butcher the themes and ending of one of the games!#And reduce a female character and arguably LOZ's first complex character to a flat source for man angst#Marin would murder Link if she found out he was remembering her and Koholint in trauma and tragedy#Rather than treasuring its memory and celebrating its existence#GENUINELY framing Link as wildly traumatized by the events of Link's Awakening the way so many ppl do#Completely destroys all thematic coherence in the game's ending and makes it wildly unsatisfying#Yes Koholint disappearing was sad. No Link did not kill an island no it would not haunt him like a ghost#It's a treasured memory and a net positive experience! I have OPINIONS on this and I'm CORRECT#And I'm calling out Links Meet AUs specifically bc those are the biggest offenders#Of stripping everyone else of depth and focus for the sake of white boy Link#If ur lucky then Zelda still has character depth but everyone else* is shit out of luck basically#*Exceptions apply ofc#Lots of stuff that's not links meet aus also interprets Marin in ways I don't personally like#I am picky#Some of which I'd argue are just. Bad.#But at least they often make an effort with her character#Links Meet AUs are the Link Only Show tho and I'm ANNOYED bc I WANT TO LIKE THEM#I AM A SUCKER FOR MULTIVERSE SHIT. U DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THIS PAINS ME#Anyway. L + ratio + you did not consider the thematic implications of ur fanproject and it annoys me :(#My posts#Loz#Link's awakening#update when i first made this post i was genuinely not intending to single out any specific links meet aus#however i have since crunched the numbers and two thirds of the marin tag on ao3 is linked universe#and i would like to make it clear. i have no real issue with the actual comic or its portrayal of marin#mostly bc marin has not actually appeared or been addressed in the actual comic at all#however i do hope the linked universe FANDOM goes to hell no matter what

---------------
It was the call Keith hoped he would never hear.
“Dad…please…come quickly…Mom’s down!”
His heart about to explode in his chest from its rapid beating, Keith races across the battlefield to his daughter’s position.
This raid was the first combat assignment with Blade of Marmora for both of his daughters since the successful completion of their Trials of Marmora two decaphoebs earlier. Keith had high hopes for this mission. This would be the opportunity for his girls to prove their worth, that they can function as full-fledged members of the Blade of Marmora.
Unfortunately, events began to spiral out of his control even before the start of the engagement on Penzarance.
And now it seems things have gone horribly wrong.
---------------
Twelve Vargas Earlier
Against Keith’s wishes, Acxa sets the assault team rosters so that Mireya is a member of her team. As Blade Master he does not countermand her decision because he does not want Acxa’s authority undermined within the Blade of Marmora. He also knows that he will catch hell from at least one of the women in his family no matter what he does.
However, he warns her about how this move will be perceived not only by the other Blades, but by Mireya.
Mireya is anything but pleased about this turn of events. To her, this is another example of her mother hovering over her, nitpicking everything she does. This time, Mireya decides to stand up for herself. She confronts her mother in front of her father, great uncle, and sister, and starts a rather vociferous argument over the assignment. Anyone observing it would call it a blowup of galactic proportions.
“Why, Mom? Dad explicitly stated that he wanted Cataleya and I assigned to Uncle Meltok’s command. I don’t get it. Why are you doing this?”
“There is nothing to ‘get’, Mireya. I’m the tactical leader of this operation, and I have the final say on team assignments. I am not used to having my orders questioned and I will not tolerate it now. You are a Blade of Marmora going on a combat mission. You are expected to obey orders, and I expect you to obey these orders.”
Mireya, just turned 18, storms out of the briefing room but not before screaming at her mother.
“You’re suffocating me, Mom! I hate you! I HOPE YOU DIE! Maybe then I can finally breathe.”
Not happy with his daughter’s choice of words, Keith calls after her just as she slams the door to the briefing room. “Mireya you don’t mean that.”
Cataleya, just as upset with the situation as her sister, takes a deep breath before trying to calm her visibly upset mother.
“Mom, she didn’t mean that.”
Cut deeply by Mireya’s words, Acxa tries to hide the hurt from Cataleya. “I don’t know Cataleya…your sister and I have been butting heads for so long now.”
“Mom that’s because you two are so much alike in personality. Stubbornness and all. Give her some space. She’ll come around.”
Keith starts to go after Mireya, but Cataleya stops him.
“Dad, wait. Let me talk to her. No offense, she might listen to me.”
---------------
The scene is the nightmare scenario Keith feared it would be.
His wife lay in a bomb crater, bleeding from a shrapnel wound to the stomach. Her right arm and shoulder are badly lacerated. He thinks to himself that it is a good thing she is unconscious. The pain must be unbearable.
He races to her and begins treatment to stabilize her. He does his best to keep his emotions in check as he works to save the life of the woman who said she would be his until the day she died. He does not want today to be that day.
“Mireya did you call for medical backup?”
“I…uncle…coming…”
She stands there, frozen by the sight of her critically injured mother.
Meltok leaps into the crater and quickly moves to Acxa’s side, his first-aid kit already open. “Medivac is on its way, Keith. Bars is talking to them. Let me check her.”
Keith steps back as his uncle, an accomplished field medic, hurries to stabilize Acxa until medivac arrives. Cataleya joins them and stands next to her shell-shocked sister.
Struggling against the flood of his own emotions as he battles to hold it together, Keith turns to his daughters.
“Cataleya, take your sister to the rear. I’ll meet up with you two once your mother is stabilized.”
Keith looks calmly at his daughters, both now frozen by the sight of their injured mother. He speaks to them in a calm and level voice. “Go on, soldiers. I gave you an order. Move to the rear.”
Cataleya snaps out of it and manages a shaky, “Yes sir.”
Blade of Marmora Sergeant Bars joins Keith and Meltok. “Medivac is incoming. They’ll be here in two doboshes. Master Chief, how bad?”
Meltok does not pull any punches. “Bad, Bars. Really bad.”
---------------
As the medivac team moves in to prep Acxa for evacuation to the field hospital, Meltok reminds Keith of something.
“Go back with her and talk to her.”
“What?”
“Remember what she did for you after you nearly got blown to kingdom come by one of Honerva’s white mechs?1 Talk to her. Give her a reason to hang on until the docs back at the field hospital can stabilize her. Don’t worry about this operation. I’ll take command and mop these pirates up. You worry about your wife.”
---------------
Keith goes with the Acxa and the medics to the rear. After seven hours of surgery, with Keith present, she emerges, in critical but stable condition.
His aunt Miara, a first-rate doctor in her own right and in charge of the field hospital, comes in to keep a close eye on her.
“Keith, you need to talk to Mireya. She’s been inconsolable since Cataleya took her to the rear. Come to think of it, Cataleya isn’t doing much better.”
“I guess the sight of their mother…in that state…that would do it. Aunt Miara, would you send them in. They need to see that their mother is going to be ok”
---------------
The girls are ushered into the room by Miara. Mireya rushes to her mother’s bedside, takes her hand, and begins sobbing inconsolably.
“Mom…I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean what I said. I don’t want you to die. Please, Mom, don’t leave.”
Cataleya sits on the other side of her mother’s bed, holding Acxa’s left hand. She remains silent, but her tears flow just as freely.
Keith goes to console Mireya, taking her in his arms and letting her get her emotions out. When she finally calms down enough to speak, he asks her what happened.
“We were pinned down. We were taking heavy ion rifle fire and we couldn’t move forward. Mom was so calm. Dad, she was amazing. She said the only way we could beat them was to distract them, flank them, so that we could get close enough to lob grenades into their position to take them out. She asked me if I could do that…I said I could. I wanted her to trust me and this was my chance. Two of us made a flanking maneuver around the right side of the pirate defensive line. We drew their fire, and Mom was able to get close enough to throw two grenades into their position.”
“One went off. The fuse on the other was defective. One of the pirates threw the grenade back into her position. It exploded before she could take cover. I saw Mom go down…and I freaked out.”
“Freaked out in what way, honey.”
“I was so mad that I charged the pirate position single handedly. I think I took out, seven, eight pirates?”
While Mireya explains what happened, Meltok joins them and, standing at the entrance to the room listens to most of her explanation. When she gets to the part where she guesses at how many pirates she took down, he clears his throat to get Keith’s attention.
“That’s not quite true, Mireya. You didn’t take out 8 pirates. It was more like 20.”
Shocked, Keith looks first at Mireya, then at Meltok. “She did what?”
“You would have been proud of her, Keith. She took out twelve with her blaster pistol. Twelve shots, twelve kills. The last eight she took down with her Blade. Watching her with the pistol, she reminded me of her mother; watching her with her Blade, she reminded me of her father.”
“For the record…Cataleya is no slouch in those categories either. She’s just as good as her sister and she proved it today. She took out and entire gun line in the bunker complex, about 20 pirates, by herself.”
Mireya looks at her father hopefully. “Dad…is Mom going to be ok?”
Keith calls his daughters to him and gives them both a tight hug.
“She’s going to be sore, honey, but she’ll pull through. Your mother is tough. She’s been through worse than this. Let’s see, she’s crash-landed inside the belly of an intergalactic space worm, she was poisoned by Bralarian Hyenas after flying her ship to Braylar IV with a broken arm2 , she was almost skewered by Sendak after fighting him on top of a cruiser that was plummeting to Earth3…and she gave birth to you two hellions. She’ll pull through. Besides, she loves you girls too much to leave you now.”
“I’ll let you in on a little secret. Mom heard everything we just said. She heard Uncle Meltok say what you both did today. I know when she wakes up, she’ll tell you proud she is of her daughters.”
A still very agitated Mireya is not so sure. “Yeah…if she ever forgives me for being an ungrateful little bitch…”
“She knows you are not that, honey. Hey, I have an idea. I think Mom would like it if the three of us sat here with her and talked to her for a bit. Would you be willing to do that with me?”
---------------
Six vargas later, Acxa wakes up from her ordeal.
Vaguely aware of her husband’s presence, she reaches out for him. “Keith…?”
Keith squeezes her hand and leans closer so she can see him. “I’m here, love.”
“Thank you…for staying here with me. And talking to me. I heard you. Where…where are the girls? Are they…?”
“They are safe, and they are well. Aunt Miara took them to get something to eat.” Keith gently strokes her hair and horns. “You my dear have two heroes on your hands. Cataleya took out an entire gun line in the middle sector by herself. Mireya single-handedly took out the heavy rifle emplacements in your sector. It would seem that our daughters are now seasoned combat veterans. They’re not little girls anymore, Acxa.”
Acxa closes her eyes for a moment as she desperately tries to hold back the tears. Opening them, she turns towards Keith, sadness reflected in her deep blue eyes. “Where are my girls? I need to see them. I need to…”
From the shadows, her daughters tentatively emerge. “We…we’re here Mom.”
Mireya rushes to Acxa’s side and buries her head against her mother’s arm. “Mom, I’m so sorry about what I said before the mission. I didn’t mean any of that. When I saw you go down, I…I went crazy. Mom, please forgive me. I’m a horrible daughter.”
Fully awake now and aware of her daughter’s mental state, Acxa easily slips back into Mom mode. “No Mireya…you are a wonderful daughter. I forgot how much you’ve grown these past two decaphoebs. You’re an adult now. It’s time I started treating you like one.”
She looks at Cataleya and calls her over. “It’s time I started treating both of you like the adults you are. I’m so proud of both of you.”
Keith looks on with pride at his family.
“Acxa, you need to rest. I’ll sit with you. You girls need to get some rest as well.”
Cataleya does not want to hear that. “Dad, we’re not leaving. We’re staying with you and Mom.”
Acxa looks at Keith. “You know they get their stubbornness from their father.”
“Said the pot to the kettle. Go to sleep, woman!”
“No! I’m going to lay hear and let my daughters entertain me with stories of their exploits.”
Keith looks first at Acxa, then at his daughters.
“And your mother says I’m the stubborn one…”

If They Knew Sweet Little You 4/7
My Writing Fandom: Doctor Who Characters: Donna Noble, Wilfred Mott, Martha Jones, Mickey Smith, Sarah Jane Smith, Jack Harkness Pairing: Doctor/Donna Summary: Donna’s dull, regular life is turned upside-down thanks to an incident from the past she can no longer remember. AO3 link
Donna had another dream. This time, she and John Smith — only she never remembered calling him John in the dreams; it just didn’t seem to fit — were making their way down a series of underground passages looking for Doctor Jones, who did have an engagement ring on her finger. There was a girl with them, too; a girl named Jenny, and Donna kept trying to convince him he could be a father. Yet the look on his face remained so impossibly sad, and somehow Donna knew with a heavy heart Jenny was dead.
“Guess that’s why I liked that name so much for you,” she said to the growing bump in her stomach when she woke up that morning. “But maybe we’ll look at names for your own.”
Even more importantly, it was clear now that Doctor Jones was in on it, whatever it was. All those asides with her grandad at hospital yesterday, and now she was having dreams where she knew her already, too. Did they all think she was thick?
Donna took out a notepad. It was clear she was on her own about this, and she needed to get organized. She wrote down everything she could remember from her dreams. The failed wedding, giant insects, the girl named Jenny, a dinner in a meadow filled with sweetly scented candles instead of wildflowers where he’d taken her hand across the table and she’d kissed him for real for the first time — Karass Don Slava, said a voice in her head, one that sounded suspiciously like him.
Once or twice she had to stop and rub at her temples for a moment, but she’d feel the baby move or place her hand over the bump and the pain would fade. Her headaches of late were getting fewer and less intense than before. She hardly noticed them now.
The real question was why it had been hurting her to remember, and how she had forgot what seemed to be the most amazing time of her life in the first place. What had happened to her? On a rainy night in summer she’d been brought back home by him, though he hadn’t seemed at all happy about it. He’d introduced himself as though he’d known she’d forgotten and then just up and left. Had he thought she’d never remember? Had he known about the baby?
Was that why he’d left?
Donna needed to get out of the house. She took the car keys out of her mother’s purse and went for a drive before anyone could ask where she was going. It wasn’t like she had a destination in mind.
But she found herself driving past businesses with new company signs that she swore used to be called HC Clements and Adipose Industries. Then past the reception hall for the wedding that never happened, where all this seemed to have started. At last, Donna parked the car and walked across one of the bridges that went over the Thames. She stopped halfway, leaning slightly over the railing and squinting at what she somehow knew was the flood barrier despite never having had an interest in such a thing in her life.
In her mind’s eye, Donna could picture herself standing on it. It was night, and she was soaked to the skin and freezing, but she was hugging his arm to her and laughing harder than she could ever remember.
And now she was here by herself — not all by herself, she supposed, touching a hand to her stomach briefly. Still, Donna couldn’t help but feel desperately lonely facing all this on her own.
“Miss? Are you alright?”
Donna straightened back up and turned to face the man who had called out to her.
“Why’d you say Miss? And why wouldn’t I be?”
He shuffled back a step. “Sorry. It’s just, you sort of looked like…” His eyes darted to the water below them.
Donna’s eyes widened. “Oh! No, no, it’s not like that. I’d have to be some kind of nutter, trying to do that in broad daylight!”
He managed a brief chuckle and repeated, “Sorry. I didn’t mean to say you were. You just, well, you looked sad.”
The smiled she’d forced dimmed. “Yeah. Yeah, I suppose I am. Still, wouldn’t be very fair of me to this one.”
“Oh.” His eyes went to her hand resting on her stomach, and she noticed him falter another half-step back. “Well, there goes my offer to buy you a drink to cheer you up.”
“There it goes,” she agreed with a nod. “Thanks anyway. I should be getting home.”
“Do you need someone to walk you back?” He offered.
Donna shook her head. “No, I’m parked close. I’ll go straight back to my car, promise.”
“Okay. Well, I’m glad you weren’t — you know.” He began to walk away.
“Oi! What’s your name?”
He half-turned back. “Er, Shaun. Shaun Temple.”
“Better luck with the next nutter, Shaun.”
He had a nice smile. A nice everything, Donna realized, watching his broad shouldered back disappearing into the crowd on the other side of the Thames. He was overall just...nice.
Nice would have been more than she would have hoped for once. Donna could envision herself calling him back, introducing herself properly, going for dinner instead of drinks. If they didn’t hate each other she’d probably go ahead and decide they were dating, then rush through all the other steps like she did with Lance.
But that just wasn’t enough for her anymore. She wasn’t willing to settle for nice. Not for her, and certainly not for her baby. There was something else waiting for her out there, if not a someone. Donna twisted the gold ring on her finger, turned her back on Shaun Temple, and made her way back to the car.
—
Martha had just gotten her drink at the bar and was about to turn around when someone tapped her on the shoulder.
“Hey,” said Mickey with a grin. “Am I the first one here?”
“You are. What are you having?”
“Just a beer, but I can get it.” He began to reach for his wallet, but Martha halted him with a hand on his arm.
“I’ve got a tab going since I asked you all out. Anyway, if you and me are going into business together we’re probably going to be trading off on buying, Mister.”
“Yeah, suppose you’re right. Everything’s going through with UNIT okay? That’s not what this is about?”
“No, but I’ll explain when the others get here. Meet me at that table in the back.” She left him to order his drink and set her purse and jacket down at the booth to secure their spot. Martha was glad Mickey had arrived first; over the last few months she’d gotten to know and like him rather well. Working alongside him rather than for a superior was an experience she looked forward to, even if her mother tutted about her throwing away a steady income.
But steady just hadn’t worked out, with UNIT or with Tom. Maybe Martha was ready for a little adventure again.
Scarcely had Mickey rejoined her before she saw Sarah Jane Smith come through the door. The journalist scanned the room until her eyes alighted on the pair of them, and she made her way straight over.
“Sorry if I’m running late. I just had to make arrangements with K9 to let me know if Luke tries to have Clyde over while I’m out,” she explained as she took a seat at the booth. “Those boys can get into quite the mischief if left unwatched.”
“That’s alright, we’re still waiting for one more,” said Martha.
“Really, who?”
Before she could respond, a familiar voice hailed them. “Martha Jones!”
“Oh bloody hell, here we go,” Mickey muttered into his glass.
Jack made his way across the room to their table, shaking Mickey’s offered hand and kissing hers with a wink. “So, what’s the news that’s so important I needed to make the drive from Cardiff? Unless this is double-date night,” he remarked, sliding into the booth next to Sarah Jane. “Miss Smith, always a pleasure.”
The journalist shook her head with a smile. “I’m afraid this is strictly business, Captain, according to Martha.”
He looked to her now, the leer leaving his face. “Last time we all talked over business we were being invaded by Daleks.”
“It’s nothing like that,” she hastened to reassure them all. “But it, well, you two might want a drink for this one.”
“So it is about the Doc?”
Martha didn’t return his teasing grin. “Not exactly...it’s about Donna.”
“Donna?” Sarah Jane repeated. “Isn’t she still traveling with him?”
“That’s what I thought until she turned up as my patient with her grandfather.” Martha cupped her hands around her glass and spoke more to it than them as she continued. “Human-Time Lord metacrises aren’t meant to happen, apparently, so to keep her alive the Doctor had to take away all her memories of traveling with him. She didn’t even recognize me when I walked in,” she added with a bitter smile.
“But how long was she traveling with him?” Asked Mickey. “I mean how much did she have to forget?”
“A few months to a year, I think. I don’t know what she believes happened instead, but...she was just so different. I don’t know how to describe it.” Martha wondered if she had to; they’d all been indelibly changed as a result of their own experiences traveling with the Time Lord. And no matter what had happened during it, she couldn’t imagine any of them ever giving those times up.
There was a long, heavy silence at the table. Jack finally broke it with a solemn, “Sarah Jane, what are you having?”
Nobody spoke when the Captain left to order his and the journalist’s drinks, nor when he returned. He passed Sarah Jane her glass and then raised his in a toast.
“To the woman who saved the universe.”
Martha met his eyes and nodded, then raised her own. Mickey’s glass clinked against hers to her left and Sarah Jane’s across.
There was still so much more to say, however, so Martha took a long sip and a deep breath. “The thing is, Donna got UNIT’s attention and not because of the metacrisis. She’s pregnant.”
Mickey’s eyes went wide and Sarah Jane coughed a little. “Pregnant? Why would that be UNIT’s concern?”
“Her family thinks it happened while she was traveling, and the early tests indicate…”
“It’s not fully human,” Jack guessed.
“I wasn’t able to determine one way or the other,” she said weakly. Jack’s only reply was to let out a low whistle.
“Wait, but if it’s alien, what if that makes her remember all the stuff she’s not supposed to know anymore?” Mickey asked.
She shrugged. “I promised Mr. Mott, Donna’s grandfather, I’d do everything I could and not involve UNIT. Neither of us thought it’d be a good idea for them to get involved since Donna knew about them. It’s lucky enough she didn’t remember me.” Martha chose not to mention the moment with the engagement ring. She had to hope for Donna’s sake it had been a fluke.
“But you couldn’t figure out what kind of alien?” Jack checked.
Martha shook her head. “The technology just wasn’t cooperating.”
“I don’t suppose we could come up with a good explanation for her to come and have some diagnostics run by Mr. Smith,” said Sarah Jane.
“Pretty sure giant supercomputers are off limits,” Mickey agreed.
Jack drained the last of his glass. “Well how does Donna’s grandfather want to proceed?”
“Honestly, he’s convinced we need to get the Doctor back here.”
“And shock him into another regeneration?” Jack laughed. “I’m pretty sure he likes to pretend us companions don’t get up to that sort of stuff behind his back.”
“Like you didn’t shatter that illusion, Cheesecake,” Mickey snorted.
“Well this Mr. Mott might not be entirely wrong.” Sarah Jane folded her hands on the tabletop. “The Doctor would be better able to identify the species than any of us, and possibly the other party in this relationship as well. He was supposed to be, ah, chaperoning, as it were.”
“Oh, believe me, if Donna had felt he was sticking his nose in unasked, he wouldn’t have one anymore.” Martha sighed. “Anyway, I can’t reach him. He’s turned the mobile off.”
Jack frowned. “Guess he’s taking it pretty hard.”
“Nobody likes feeling forgotten about,” said Sarah Jane. “I can try reaching out discreetly to some contacts of mine, see if they’ve come across him.”
“What do the rest of us do?” Asked Mickey.
“Well, I promised Mr. Mott I’d oversee Donna’s pregnancy once my time at UNIT is up. This’ll be our first job, Mister.”
“Great, and I bet it pays well, too.”
“Come on, Mickey Mouse, we all owe Donna for the rest of our lives,” said Jack. He smirked and added, “So have fun on the nursery run.”
Mickey raised his beer again. “Oh cheers, mate.”
—-
It had been nearly a week since the appointment with Doctor Martha Jones, and her Gramps didn’t seem to be making any move to schedule a follow-up. Donna decided it was best to take the matter into her own hands and phoned the hospital. Only, as with everything else in her life, things only seemed to get weirder.
“What do you mean she’s not on staff?”
“I’m sorry, Miss Noble, but we have no Martha Jones in residence. Did you perhaps see —”
“I know who I saw,” she stated bluntly. She wasn’t about to be told the memories she actually did have were false. “My grandfather and I were just there.”
Her grandad chose that moment to enter through the front door. “Donna, love, who’s on the phone?”
“The hospital. They’re saying they’ve got no Doctor Jones,” she hissed, hand over the receiver. Then she removed it to continue the conversation. “Listen, all I want is to schedule a follow-up. Have you got your bloody equipment fixed yet?”
“I’m afraid I don’t —”
“Oh, Doctor Jones was, er, moving hospitals,” said her Gramps. When she looked back at him again, she noticed his eyes were wide and a bit panicky. “I’ve got the number for it somewhere, Donna, let me handle it.”
She wouldn’t have been surprised if he started reaching for her phone, he seemed so nervous. “Alright, alright.” Donna sighed. “Look, nevermind me, crazy pregnant lady,” she said down the line, then hung up. “How come she didn’t mention she was moving hospitals? What, was the hospital faulty, too?”
“That was my fault. She, uh, she told me, and I forgot to mention it once we’d got home.”
“So she wants us to switch hospitals instead of just referring us to one of her old colleagues.”
“Oh, I said we could move. It’s no trouble, really, Donna. She’s good at what she does, and she seemed like a good fit.”
Donna could have pointed out that they’d yet to see Doctor Jones really do anything, but all she said was, “Alright, Gramps. If you think it’s best.”
She had her own ulterior motive of sticking with the other woman, of course; somehow Martha Jones was mixed up in all this, and she couldn’t very well let her vanish. Donna left her Gramps looking much calmer than he had been once he’d seen her on the phone and climbed the stairs up to her room.
If she was going to prove some kind of link between Doctor Jones and John Smith, she had to have evidence that didn’t come from her dreams. Donna turned on her laptop and began searching for whatever information she could find on the woman.
She wasn’t listed on the staff at the hospital they’d seen her at, nor could she find any current place of employment. There was a bit about her completing some internship at the Royal Hope early. So at least she definitely actually was a medical doctor.
Further down in the results, there was something about the Prime Minister, the one they’d had for a few days before he died. Donna had nearly forgotten all about that. When she clicked the link, it was some kind of archive of a news bulletin that had come out about the very same Martha Jones barely after the election.
Donna stared. Her OBGYN had been on the most wanted list? What the hell was going on?
And then she noticed his picture, labelled as an unidentified man but increasingly familiar to her. John Smith had been on the most wanted list.
“No way.”
Her baby possibly had some kind of convict for a father? Was he on the lam? God, what had she been doing with him?
There was a third man, too, but other than a vague feeling like she’d seen his face before there was little for her to puzzle over him for. At the bottom of the archived page some moderator had left a note that the bulletin had been withdrawn barely twenty-four hours after it had been released and all those involved had an official pardon. Well, what did that mean, then?
She could feel the baby stirring a bit. “Are you enjoying this? You think this is funny? Your mummy is driving herself mad trying to figure out what is with your dad, and you think this is a joke?”
Donna thought she felt an actual kick that time.
“Oh, thanks, you.”
—-
Martha did her best to patiently wait out the remaining days at UNIT. She couldn’t help feeling she should already be devoting her time to Donna’s case, but the best thing for her friend was to not arouse any sort of suspicion. She didn’t know what would end up happening if UNIT’s protocols on an extraterrestrial pregnancy went into effect.
Her caution ended up being well worth it when she found herself summoned to the office of Captain Magambo near the end of the week. Seeing as she hadn’t been given any assignments since the Donna one, she had a feeling she knew what it was about.
Martha knocked on the captain’s door before opening it. “You wanted to see me, ma’am?”
“Yes, Doctor Jones. Please, have a seat.”
Martha did so and waited as the other woman perused a familiar looking file.
“This is your official report on the possible extraterrestrial impregnation of a human.”
“Yes, ma’am. I met with the patient and her grandfather, and we were able to determine that no such incident had occurred.”
“I understand the patient in question was a Donna Noble.”
Martha gave a slow nod. “That is correct.”
The captain flipped open another file that had been sitting in front of her on her desk and scanned it. “And would that be the same Donna Noble included in the Sontaran report from earlier this year? The Doctor’s companion?”
“Former companion,” Martha corrected. Magambo looked up from the file. “She returned home after the planets incident.”
“Because she was pregnant?”
“I believe so, yes,” Martha lied. She didn’t know what interest UNIT might take in Donna’s status as half of a human-Time Lord metacrisis, either.
“It seems to me Miss Noble would have been at greater risk than the average woman for extraterrestrial impregnation. Nevertheless you put in your report that the pregnancy is not extraterrestrial in origin.”
“I did. Donna was unable to identify the father, but the baby appears to be, um, normal.”
The captain pursed her lips, and Martha tried not to feel too guilty for the type of reputation she was giving Donna. “The Doctor has nothing to say on the matter?”
“Ma’am?”
“I assume this isn’t typical of his companions.”
Martha felt her cheeks heat up. “No, ma’am. Uh, I was not able to speak with the Doctor personally. He’s out of contact.”
“Hm.”
“Is there anything unclear in my report, Captain?” She didn’t want to appear nervous or on edge, but she’d rather get to the point if there was one rather than beating around the bush.
“Just trying to be thorough, Doctor Jones.” Magambo looked up from the files again. “You understand, of course, that if Miss Noble were to have become pregnant via an extraterrestrial, it is not a punishable offense. It is simply a situation that requires close monitoring to ensure the safety of everyone involved, mother and child included if possible. If you are merely trying to protect a friend, I want you to understand we wish to do the same.”
“Of course. But there’s really no need for monitoring, ma’am. It’s not the situation.” Martha held the captain’s steady gaze until the other woman glanced away.
“Very well. You’re dismissed, Doctor Jones.”
“Thank you, Captain.”
She stood and returned to her office, doing her best to keep her pace slow and measured. Once she arrived, Martha locked the door and took out her mobile, dialing the familiar number and achieving the same result as usual. Straight to voicemail.
“Mister, come on! UNIT’s breathing down my neck. For all I know, they’ll go over my head and put surveillance on Donna anyway. I don’t know what’ll happen to her if they get too close. Please just answer your phone!”
Martha hung up and dropped into her chair. For now, her soon-to-be former superiors seemed to believe her. But that could change. Then there was the matter of the baby itself. She felt certain there had to be something alien about it going on, and if so what might that mean for the pregnancy? Or when it was born?
On top of that, any one of these things had the potential to trigger Donna’s memories, and they didn’t remotely have a plan to deal with it. Without the Doctor, she wasn’t sure they’d be able to.
“What are we gonna do?”

What exactly is going on with supernatural? I’m outside the fandom, but it sounds real exciting... whatever is happening...
brooooo...... SO MUCH is happening right now, so here’s a not quick run down cause I ended up rambling, have fun anon:
- Castiel was introduce 4x01, and from literally the day after, the fandom has been shipping him and Dean together. Cas was planned to be killed off fairly early on, but the fans loved him (and his dynamic/relationship with Dean) so much that the writers kept him around
- Originally a female angel (who Dean had sex with) was supposed to be his guardian angel. But the fans....
- And so begins a long and torrid history of Destiel, which personally I have been shipping for 10-11 years, and so have many other fans. There were too many things that added up, like every Cas did, he did for Dean. Like.... literally everything. And somewhere along the way, Misha (Castiel’s actor) started playing Cas like he was in love/pining
- People labeled Jensen as homophobic because he, personally, didn’t headcanon Dean as bisexual (even though most fans did), and got testy and upset with Destiel because fans would harass him over it, which is understandable
- But then season 15 happens
- The writers focused a LOT on Dean and Cas’ (platonic) relationship. And fans were getting hype. They loved it. They were acting like an old married couple and we were living.
- And in 15x10, Dean is high on anesthetics from getting dental surgery, and has a bit where he’s dancing in black and white, and it’s very much a Hayes code thing. And he briefly dances with a lamp (this is where the lamp memes come from). Light fixtures, light in general, and lamps have always been a symbol/stand in for Cas, so every goes nuts
- Also in 15x17, God says that in every other universe, Castiel never disobeys. He saved Dean from hell, then did what he was told. But this universe’s Castiel had a “crack in his chasis” and was the only one who disoeyed. Who rebelled. And now he was outside God’s plan
- And God (Chuck) has always been a stand in for the writers. So Castiel, who was so loved by the fans that he was kept on the show and completely changed their plans, is also outside the writers hands. We all just went 👀 👀 👀
- And then, on November 5th, 2020, 15x18 airs and the internet loses its collective shit. It doesn’t matter if you were a die hard fan, lost interest along the way, never watched it but was interested, or never had any interest at all, EVERYONE was talking about this episode.
- Because, my dear anon, Castiel explicitly confesses his gay, homosexual love for Dean.
- Sadly, Death wanted Dean dead for trying to kill her. And there was this entity called the Empty (which everyone calls Turbo Hell) that also wanted Death dead. But the thing is, is that Cas made a deal with the Empty to save his adopted son, Jack, who was trapped there. Jack would get out, but the moment Cas experienced true happiness, the Empty would take Cas.
- So Cas doesn’t want Dean to die. So he starts talking about how Dean is a good person, an amazing man. And fans were like... oh? And he continues, talking about how everything Dean has done, he has done for love, for his love of Sam and Jack, and how he loved the world and wanted to save it. And we’re like Oh????????? and then he says Dean changed him, and that he LOVES Dean. And then we lost out collective shit, and he pushes Dean away and gets eaten by the Empty.
- Everyone started calling Dean and Jensen homophobic because Dean wasn’t reacting much but like???? Home boy was being chased by and about to be killed by Death, and Cas starts saying stuff that no one has ever said to him before (see, Dean hates himself and thinks he corrupts everything he touches), and THEN his best friend (who he thought was straight, amongst other things but I’ll touch on that later) confesses he loves him before promptly dying.
- But the thing is, he was dying from experiencing true happiness, and his happiness was just confessing, not even being reciprocated, which is a huge oof.
- Also everyone not in the fandom conveniently ignores how Dean broke down crying on the floor immediately afterwards.
- But then the behinds the scenes information comes out and OH BOY.
- As it turns out, the actors joined the writers for writing and planning out season 15, and you want to know what was the first thing they wrote for this season?
- Thats right, you guessed it, Cas’ love confession. So they wrote the entire season with he knowledge that Cas is hopelessly in love with, and always has been, in love with Dean.
- I cannot stress this enough, but Cas has always been in love with Dean.
- And in the scene, when Cas pushes Dean away, he leaves a bloody handprint on the location that Cas had branded him when he dragged him up from hell.
- You want to know who gave that suggestion?
- JENSEN “HOMOPHOBIC” ACKLES
- BUT WAIT IT GETS EVEN BETTER
- BECAUSE JENSEN IN A CON SAID THAT HES BEEN PLAYING DEAN, SINCE HE MET CAS, WONDERING IF CAS EVEN FELT LOVE LIKE HUMANS SINCE HE’S A CELESTIAL BEING
- WHICH MEANS DEAN’S BEEN WONDERING IF CAS COULD EVEN LOVE HIM
- AHHHHHH
- THE JACKLES LONGCON FOLKS
- But then the next episode airs, and Dean is in a forward spiral, blacking out drunk. Everythings bad, but Cas and his confession arent really brought up and we’re like?????? ?????
- But the main story, really everything but Cas, gets resolved at the end of the episode.
- But also, the show runners have keeping Misha’s location during filming a secret. So we have no idea if he’s even in the finale. So everyone's obviously going to watch, and hope, that Cas comes back and Dean can finally reciprocate.
- But then the finale airs, and at first we were hopeful. Dean’s room is full of lamps, and Cas’ coat can be seen in the background. We also see an application as a mechanic on his desk. And we’re so hopeful, that Dean is moving on from the hunting life. He’s going to have an actual life
- But then Dean dies, from a fucking juggalo vampire, impaled on a rusty nail (actually its bent rebar, but rusty nail is funnier). During a simple hunt. And Dean doesn't want to be saved, which goes against ALL OF HIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND HIS ARC FROM NOT ONLY THIS SEASON, BUT THE PAST 5 YEARS
- DEAN, WHO IS CALLED A KILLER BY GOD AND SAYS “YOU SEE, THAT’S NOT ME” BECAUSE CAS SAID HE WAS A GOOD PERSON WHO LOVES SO MUCH
- JUST.... DIES.......
- And on top of that, Sam, who’s arc the ENTIRE SHOW has been moving past his toxic co-dependency from his brother and finding his own life just..... doesn't move on...... he spends literally the rest of his life grieving over his brother. Naming his kid after him, the whole shebang.
- And there was this awful “old Sam” who was in really bad make-up and a silver party city wig. it looked so bad.
- And Dean? Up in Heaven? Just drives his car around. Like, that’s it. He learns from Bobby that Cas is out of Turbo Hell and is fixing up heaven with their new God (Jack, which also goes against Castiel’s arc that he isn’t God’s little soldier, he’s his own person, he’s outside God’s plan. And yeah, Jack is God now, and he’s still Cas’ adopted son, but the point still stands that he’s God’s soldier again) and just continues driving until Sam finally dies and comes to heaven.
- Oh and not to mention that Sam’s love interest for the past couple of seasons (Eileen, a deaf woman) is just never mentioned again, even though she was shown to be brought back, and Sam was grief stricken when God snapped everyone out of existence. No, Sam gets a blurry face woman as wife instead, and Eileen is never heard from again.
- So basically the writer taunted us with Cas to get us to watch the finale because they knew we wouldn’t watch if Cas wasn’t in it.
- So even though the show has ended, more news comes out every day. Like, for example, the heavy focus on Sam in finale and lack of acknowledging the homosexual declaration of love was because they wanted to keep the Sam girls and cis white heterosexual audience pleased so they would follow over to CW’s new show, a Walker Texas Ranger reboot staring Jared Padalecki (Sam’s actor)
- It was also brought up that even pre-covid, the show runners didn’t even bother to ask past characters to come on the show for the finale, even though they said they wanted to have a big scene with all of Sam and Dean’s found family showing up in heaven (including the band Kansas, and I find the implication that the Winchester’s killed them is hilarious) but yeah. They never even asked.
- Jensen also asked a crew member to record the scene on his phone while they were filming, so it has all the cut content. And like Jensen, release the tapes.
- Misha also made a tweet linking an article about how to tell if nuts are rancid, highlighting that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth
- There’s a lot of other stuff that happened, but I’m forgetting
- But RECENTLY both the latin America and indian dub of 15x18 was released and more information came out.
- For example, Dean was originally supposed to scream Cas’ name that it could be heard from blocks away.
- But the BIG news is that, okay in the American version, Dean says “Do do this, Cas” as in, don’t sacrifice yourself. But the lips movements never really lined up.
- However, in the LA version, Dean says “y yo a ti, Cas” which translates to “And I you, Cas”, and in the Indian version, it’s translated to “I’m yours, Cas.”
- AND HOLY SHIT
- DEAN ACTUALLY CONFESSES HE LOVES HIM BACK
- AND JENSEN’S LIP MOVESMENTS WOULD LINE UP MORE WITH “I’M YOURS” OR “AND I YOU” THAN “DON’T DO THIS”
- So basically Destiel is not only canon, but RECIPROCATED, but like, only in Spanish, but hey, we’ll take what we can get.
- AND THEN Misha releases a video that’s summed up to “It was a rogue translator, blah blah blah” and just seemed like CW was holding a gun to his head to do damage control
- Everyone was pissed for like .2 seconds but then Misha immediately apologizes and goes to his replies and has been talking with fans about why they’re upset, and just genuinely just learning about the strife and anger people are feeling. It’s big “Dad trying to understand his kid’s problems at school” vibes.
- And Jensen has been radio silent the entire time even though it’s obvious CW has been trying to get their actors to quell the fans, and honestly he stan a king.
And that’s what you missed, pretty much. But new information is coming out every day, so periodically send asks and I’ll update you on this shitshow, anon

hello darkness my old friend i’ve come back on tumblr once again (after like one month of not uploading anything or reblogging or answering messages for that matter because im a shit person who is actually very busy)
once upon a time this was called the your fave crack edits maker watched the thing earlier review but let’s be honest im not editing a flying fuck lately so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (here are part 1, part 2 AND part 3 tho)
warnings: i talk like a sailor, i haven’t been in touch with the fandom or with the whole franchise for like months and if you’re not that interested in the actual plot of the thing and you’re just watching out of love for the characters, there’s a 99% chance i’m even more disinterested than you (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:·゚✧
basically if you’re looking for in-depth analysis and metas yo this ain’t the post for you my friend
good luck reading lmao
it’s a truth universally acknowledged that if a tri movie is coming out, tumblr user dianaagron (clara for friends) won’t know about it until the day after, when she’ll wake up and check twitter after 84 years of not logging in and realize that yesterday was the day. actually, this time i remembered the episodes were out the same day they were released, but still it was because of good ol’ twitter, because with all the mess that’s going on with me (part of the reason why i’m never here) even if i happened to check at the beginning of the week when soushitsu was coming out, i still managed to completely forget about it in the span of a fucking day. also, i’m fucking pissed because i’ve always watched the thing after downloading the various episodes because that way i have all my stuff and i can go back and easily find caps and other stuff like that but nope not this time because i can’t fucking find a single torrent and i’m refusing to download subbed episodes because a) it’s gonna take so long to direct download something and b) what use are subbed episodes when i know i’d be replacing them with unsubbed ones as soon as i can find working dls (this is a cry of help: tell me where i can download the episodes, im dying, thank you)
one thing to take into account: i was extra pissed for various reasons yesterday night when i watched the first two episodes, so i’m not really sure if that’s why, compared to the shit that i had to deal with in real life, the episodes (in the contrary to all expectations) weren’t bad at all. truth is i actually liked this installment? INCREDIBLE, I KNOW. of course it had its nonsense moments and parts that made me roll my eyes (im buying pizza for everyone who can guess which were those moments) and other negative parts, but i really preferred movie 4 to movie 3. i’m guessing this is an unpopular opinion because i remember everyone was so happy with kokuhaku back in the day and i was the only soul going like lmao i didnt even cry but idk, i liked this one, it wasn’t bad. btw, i said i’m guessing mine could be an unpopular opinion because i’m writing this sorry excuse of a review before reading anything else cause i don’t want to be influenced :)))))
(save me ive written 500 words on nothing) (meanwhile i finally found torrent links) (and i had to pause the review because i ended up going out yesterday night so this is me talking one day later from what you’ve read before)
once again, i feel like nothing happened in the course of these four new episodes. now, i know i’m extremely slow when it comes to get plot points and all that (not because i’m that stupid, thank you very much, but because of my attention span varies from 1 second to 2 and a half so it’s hard for me to recall what happened in the previous installments unless i go and rewatch all of them - thing i won’t ever do because this girl right here is lazy as fuuuck) but if you sit down and think about what was revealed, you get close to nothing lmao.
winning points of the movie (for me):
not too many extreme closeups like in the previous installment. it flowed better, the animation quality wasn’t as terrible as it was in the previous four episodes (im saying this just by quickly looking at the caps i took - while in the other i had so many ugly caps here they all look presentable and usable) (i say this from the point of you of someone who makes edits of course, i dont have the knowledge of an animator lmao), the majority of the shots with mimi, which are the ones that i pay the most attention to, are super pretty, but also those with taichi’s!!! his design was super on point, i have many caps im probably gonna insert later of just him looking hella attractive, and sora!!! omg sora was so fucking beautiful in these episodes i was so :)))) yay for nice designs, they make me happy.
the lack of you know who for basically two episodes. it was so good, so nice, so calming. i was loving life and life was loving me.
HOW THEY HANDLED THE TAIORATO!!!! if you know me or if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know this already, but i’m saying this in case i have new readers (HI) or, y’know, to swipe some dust off: i’m not the biggest fan of the main three. that comes from the fact that michi is my otp and i love taishiro probably too much for my own sanity, so i tend to be on the taichi/koushiro/mimi & yamato/sora/jyou side of things (which is like, super unpopular because if it’s not taiorato then it’s yamichi, so you get why my life is a constant struggle). anyway, thing is that i actually loved the interactions between the three? it was light and it felt super real, it could easily be relatable. it was also clear to me that taichi’s and yamato’s roles in sora’s life were blatantly different and i also loved to see how the two of them while being in the same situation reacted differently, but i’m gonna touch this topic later. overall tho, good job on the dynamic between those three. im clapping my hands, i wasn’t excited about it when the movie poster came out five months ago but i’m so happy that they made me love the parts with taichi, yamato and sora.
it wasn’t heavy on fight scenes. i know. I KNOW. but as i’ve said, i’m not the average digimon fan so i’m happy with my bonds developing and less fights and all that stuff :))))
meiko exceeding all expectations and NOT CRYING for all four episodes. such sorcery.
on the other hand tho
y’all, who the fuck is that ygdradude? am i supposed to know? did i miss a focal point? am i that disinterested in the plot to miss a fucking focal point????
also what the fuck was that part with i dont know his name, the teacher, with the white space shit and the talk about libra. what is libra, who is libra, what the hell, what the fuck
pedo gennai dear lord i felt so fucking uncomfortable
remember when i said meiko didn’t cry? she didn’t cry because they replaced her with her partner and made meicoomon whine for 3/4 of the movie instead
the opening scene ???????????????? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ artistic choice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the fact that they basically wasted half an episode (the last one) on three evolutions. they really need to cut down the timing of those, for real
i can’t think of anything else rn
they could’ve kept meiko away for other three episodes if it was me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
then again they could’ve just kept meiko away from tri in general if it was me
warning: i have 98 screenshots ready to use, i’m gonna try to cut some stuff because that’s too many, but here we go
they were pulling some hikari shit right here (as well as some charlie chaplin sorcery for the whole sequence)
that’s what i’m saying
OKAY LISTEN, that fucking egg with the circular thing under it made me highkey hope for some sort of magic shit happening and bringing the 02 kids back because it looks like a digimental egg or however those things were called. like my hope was so highkey that i fucking ended up dreaming the night between me watching the first two episodes and the latter two that miyako was back. unfair. i hated it. i want my kids back.
taichi being handsome: exhibit A
mimi being beautiful: exhibit A
sora being incredibly pretty yet sad: exhibit A (i told you guys the design was extra better compared to the last movie)
random caps taken merely for the fact that taichi and mimi were next to each other looking aesthetically pleasing to the eye (also do you ever cry about the skin tone difference between these two because i tend to do that a lot)
i can’t stand them hahahahah
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) frankly they could’ve shown yamato in the next scene so that way the foreshadowing would’ve been blunt and people wouldn’t still be bitching. or maybe they would anyway lmao. also look at the girls being all pretty together im so :))))
just pretty mimi and taichi + koushiro talking i was :)))) i love them all i love my kids, especially kou when he goes on about his tea
and i also FINALLY appreciated a koumi scene!!!! it happened!!!!! honestly, as i’ve said, i’m not entirely sure if it was because i was facing so much rl shit right before i watched the thing or what, but this time i was just enjoying what tri had to offer me without caring too much about other stuff like “ugh they’re pushing the fanservice with ship baits” and such. this was just plain cute, mimi was terribly in character, koushiro as well, and it was just the kind of interaction that i love. i love my kids pt. 2974521248 like, of course i would’ve loved for mimi to feed one to taichi, but i’m still somehow sane and i know they’ll never show something like that in canon? but still, it’s nice cause i know how differently from koushiro taichi would’ve reacted in a setting like this and i just can use it in my fanon world. goodbye.
this is why i’m team taichi, yamato
taichi being handsome: exhibit B
JUST IMAGINE HIM LOOKING AT MIMI LIKE THAT BEFORE THEY KISS IM SO ??????????? im gonna make a manip just wait for it
AH YES The Interaction™ also known as one of my fave parts of the movie lmao but it’s so nice whenever mimi talks it’s taichi the first one to answer im happy goodbye
cutie patootie be looking at his cute patoote
legit thought palmon was going to transform into sailor palmoon or something
why so ugly good lord
AAAHHHHHH!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS!!!! THIS THING RIGHT HERE!!!! let me put it into context in case you don’t remember: this was taichi asking his LEGIT CANON BEST FRIEND IZUMI KOUSHIRO TO NOT PUSH HIMSELF TOO MUCH AND REST. can anything be as beautiful as this? this made my heart defrost, im alive, y’all need to reevaluate your “taichi and yamato are bffs” business because. of. this. right. here. (im slamming my fist on the table, in case you were wondering)
hikari being smug af with takeru tho, that gave me life as well. also jyourato sitting next to each other <33333
AND THE SISTER IN LAWS <3333333 under a blanket that it’s so mimi’s
penis shot
taichi you fool...
a word on the so called triangle that of a triangle it has nothing but whatever: it was clear to me that yamato and taichi hold two very different spots in sora’s life, while both being important to her. there are multiple times when we see yamato trying to make taichi break the ice and talk to sora, and that’s because he is her best friend, so he should be the one who is supposed to know how to make her feel better at all times. another thing i noticed was how it was yamato to be the most sensitive to sora (unsurprisingly so): you see it especially when taichi is busy with agumon and he’s still monitoring sora, worried
here
and of course this whole exchange was beautiful, and i don’t have much else to add. truly iconic.
[insert penis joke here]
can we please take a moment to appreciate sora and mimi? they are so important
DA BACKHUG DOE guess who also watches kdramas lmao
minute 18 of episode 2 say goodbye to all your dreams of greatness
CRYING HE’S SO PRECIOUS I LOVE HIM SO MUCH imagine him holding a baby
i’m too lazy to go back and take another screenshot, but jyou with both palmon and patamon holding onto him was something else
🙄 🙄 🙄 even here mere expression makes me 🙄 but at least she wasn’t crying
i wasn’t
actually, as studies say, mimi is, in fact, a libra
why you know who tho when we all know it was sora who was supposed to be in the picture
why you know who pt. 2
GET OFF THE RAILS YOU FUCKING FUCKS IS2G THEY FUCKING WAITED UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT TO GET OFF LIKE YAMATO AND KOUSHIRO U PRICKS IF YOU DON’T SEE THE OTHER TWO MOVING WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTING, A HAND FROM THE SKY? THE TEA TO BE SERVED????
the fluff tho
the contrast between hikari being the calm one and having accepted the situation vs taichi still being unsure and lost was nicely done by making her facing the light and him staying in the shadows, good job with the cinematography im clapping my hands
F U C K I N G W H Y no, but seriously, i was already uncomfortable before with him being on top of her but this just just like yikes to a whole new level like i just don’t get it???? was it necessary???? just ew
i love mimi and the lowkey koukari pass it on
who the fuck is ygdrasil tho
ah yes, chosen children be so fit, they be running from huge monsters wanting to kill them off, they be escaping just with their two legs. incredible.
digimon au: cruise OR digimon au: titanic (spoiler: meiko is jack)
tag urself im jyou speaking the words of wisdom
takeru was cute here
weird lighting aka good luck to those who gif these scenes lmao
teach me this choreography guys don’t keep it to urselves
this was some weird shit right here let me tell you
ah yes again with the superhuman strength, surviving after a fucking huge machine slams you repeatedly against a mountain or smth like that
ur the one saying it gennai get a fucking grip
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! MY JYOURA HEART, JYOU BEING DASHINGGGG how can they not believe him when he says he has a girlfriend i mean have you seen the dude? he’s going to be a doctor, he can fucking catch a girl falling from 20 meters up in the sky i meAN
THE REAL HIGHLIGHT OF THE MOVIE. GALS BEING PALS. (for real tho, i felt so blessed? it’s in moments like these that i just feel all the love for this anime, im so :)))))) )
and jyou comforting sora as welllllll~~~~
and that’s it with the pics you guys!!! a couple of further points
if they didn’t waste half an episode on three evolutions, they could’ve just gone further with the plot, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
im not saying meiko grew on me, because i still want her out, but i can deal with her if he doesn’t cry as much as he did in the first three installments
what’s up with that ygdradude and libra talk is my question
they still need to address the 02 kids mystery and i need my babies back
the triangle is not, in fact, a triangle
i love my kids
and the episodes weren’t bad, come on. they went a little further with the plot by showing that the chick whose name i don’t remember had a partner that died and so that was the reason for the reboot, so they did give some answers, and at least the pacing of this movie was faster than in the previous one.
also, as i’ve said, idk what’s the popular opinion but i loved sora’s arc, it was nicely done and i don’t have anything to bitch about (except for meiko’s unnecessary presence). i felt for her and i wanted to wrap a blanket around her and just give her all the love.
and that’s it i think?
im blocking out the memories of the scenes with gennai because im feeling super uncomfortable whenever i do
we’re talking first kiss between wang so and hae soo in scarlet heart levels of uncomfortable
the ending sequence was so cute <3333 especially sora and piyomon, they were my faves closely followed by taichi and agumon
and im done
thank you for reading
i’ll probably go back to my hibernation now
ily all
if you got to this point i’m truly buying you a pizza
and let’s not forget the winning screencap, you can use it every day at every hour, every moment in your life
#digimon#digisafe#michi#mimi tachikawa#sorato#clara reacts#i cut down the number of caps from 98 to 62 or smth like that#y'all thought i'd be sleeping on this#AS IF#i need to write my pointless thought somewhere#tri spoilers

Gee, thanks for that generalization there! Nice to know I, and anyone else who actually do like him, apparently don’t exist at all, and then backpedaling. Thanks for continuing to help assholes feel validated for constantly giving people like me in the fandom shit for actually liking him as a character. Also, fuck you with that whole, “HE CAN’T FEEL LONELY BECAUSE HE’S GOT MONEY AND PEOPLE AROUND HIM” manipulative bullshit.
Many people who suffer from depression(like me), or feel like they have no one to truly confide in, have friends and family with them, yet they still feel like they want to put a bullet through their temple! Being called “attention seeking” or told to just suck it up because others “have it worse” than me is the same shit people told me growing up, and I was not financially well off and still not!
It’s still a valid emotion or personal problem, and you and the rest of the fandom can take that shitty fucking mindset and shove it! Next you’re going to tell me there’s starving children in Africa!
Alright, so thank you for leaving that long comment chain and thank you even more for messaging me. I gotta answer this because this is honestly amazing.
Dude...you need to calm down. I don’t like Chris, alright? I made a joke about how Chris is a generally hated character and referenced Sonic Boom. Me saying I don’t like Chris isn’t giving you any shit. I stand by that he’s not a great character, but that’s also my opinion and the fact that I formed a negative opinion on a character you like has no affect on your life whatsoever and is not a form of attacking you. You project onto him? Whatever, I said in my post that was probably his purpose, which is seeming why we aren’t getting along right now.
I never said that he couldn’t feel lonely, just the idea to go to such an extreme as to ruin the universe to avoid losing a friend. Even Eggman scolded Chris for being selfish and wanting to keep Sonic around. What Chris did was wrong and it was outlined in the show.
Alright, I gotta show the messages you sent, this is incredible. I hope you don’t mind me sharing, after all you seem pretty passionate about proving your point.
Gee, thanks for that generalization there! Nice to know I, and anyone else who actually do like him, apparently don't exist at all. Thanks for continuing to help assholes feel validated for constantly giving people like me in the fandom shit for actually liking him as a character.
Also, no. Amy Rose is the terrible character in Sonic X, for reasons I stated before in the past and still stick to. She's a god awful one actually, and was much worse and insufferable Chris and Cosmo ever were.
There were so many links I couldn’t put them here, my god you sure are passionate about how bad Amy is in X and having to prove your opinion is fact when you’re going after me for the exact same reason. I like Amy in X because she has spunk, alright? I miss that in her modern day counterpart. Amy is one of my favorite characters while I noticed on one my the many links you sent, she’s in your top 5 hated characters. So, differing opinions there.
You can especially take that, "Well he had school friends and family members, so still feeling like he had nobody is invalid!" and shove it! It's basically, "But there's starving children in Africa!", manipulative bullshit people use to shut down others when. Just because someone may have it better than others doesn't make their emotions or personal invalid! That's the same shit people would say to guilt me into feeling like I had no right to vent my emotional problems, whenever I actually tried to speak up on how I felt growing up. And my family was not that financially well off! But because other people "have it worse" than I did, that apparently my problems didn't matter!
And that's exactly what Cream did to him, when he dared tried to be upset over his mother leaving early to shoot a last minute role during a time where she was actually at home with him. Yet you're all shocked and butthurt when he inevitably snapped when someone he felt like he could confide in was about to leave forever!
I never said his emotions were invalid, I said his actions were uncalled for. He had a supportive group of people to fall back on.
God forbid a child character actually be flawed and not act like a miniature adult or a mini-Satan for once!
Yes, I agree we need better child characters, however I don’t think Chris is that.
I'm projecting? Probably. You bitter ass Sonic fans clearly are whenever you use Chris' financial status against him for why he should have just continued to keep things pent up and continued to wear a false smile, so I think it's fair when I see people like talk about things you clearly haven't personally experienced in your life or childhood.
I never did though? I said his parents were rich sacks of shit and that him being rich was a plot device so the cast could basically do whatever without the question of “where are they getting the funds?” That’s not anything against him at all and I don’t think Chris being rich was a bad thing.
Also, assuming I’ve never had to fake a smile, tsk tsk, you aren’t special, sweetie. I get you’ve had a tough time, but degrading others without even knowing them. I don’t have to expose my entire life to the internet to have my feelings validated nor do I want to. It’s my business and nobody else’s.
And I'm not saying any of this as a matter of opinion, either. I'm saying it as a matter of fact.
Oh boy let’s get the popcorn I smell a rant.
Oh, but NOBODY in the Sonic fandom likes him, according to you. So I guess I'm just some computer program, or you're just going to call me a "fan brat".
No? I’ve seen lots of people who like him. That’s why I put “some people like him” followed by “I’m not one of those people.” Look, you’ve got your own opinion and I might be able to respect it more if you didn’t come and yell at me, assuming aspects of my personality and life based on my dislike of a character.
How about you, and everyone else, stop writing about your personal problems online and just shut up and suck it up? According to you, you have no right to ever feel depressed or emotionally down for whatever reason, or act out, because there's that have it worse than you.
A. Someone asked me and I answered. I didn’t vent about personal problems, I gave my opinion when it was asked. B. I have never said and never will say that people can’t be upset because someone has it harder. The people who say that use it to invalidate and shut down people and it doesn’t solve any problems. There’s a quote I like that goes: “You almost drowned in deep water and I almost drowned in shallow water, but in the end, we both almost drowned.”
Oh, but woe is you to be disappointed by something in a piece of media, and not be constantly given a hard time or not be acknowledged by the fandom for it! Poor baby!
Maybe people wouldn’t give you a hard time if you didn’t come and yell at them about their disappointment in said media.
At least fucking wait to actually know things about a character before I decided if I like them or not, unlike you going all "PWOTECT THIS BABBY" about an upcoming lemur character that we know absolutely nothing about outside of superficial details!
I’ve watched the show since I was like, 12. I’ve seen it a good 6 times now, I think I know what I like and don’t like in these characters.
And yeah, I like Tangle so far. Her design is appealing and I fail to see how being excited for a character and reblogging a piece of fanart, tagging it “protect this baby” is wrong. It’s a thing people say, heck I might end up hating her, I don’t know, just I’m enjoying myself and enjoying what the fandom is creating with the news of this new character. Ya gotta be a spoilsport?
Yeah, no. Chris and Cosmo are the ones who actually need protecting, or hell, need to be armed!
Shhh! You’re bringing up guns on Tumblr! Don’t you know that’s a bad idea?!
But again, the average Sonic fan only likes and dislikes characters based more on what they and not who they are. So thank you for continuing to prove that point of mine.
But like...I never said that or even talked to you before.
Alright, that’s where the messages end. I might have had some respect for you if you didn’t block me immediately after you sent all this. You make allegations against me, both publicly and in private chat, then don’t even give me the courtesy to talk it out with you? That’s low.
Also, you’re far too involved with this. I understand you’ve had a rough time and some people might’ve attacked you for liking Chris, however that’s just as wrong as what you did here. Seeing parts of a character in you and relating to them is fine, although when that character becomes your identity it underlines a problem. You need to take a step back and disconnect yourself from this because it’s clearly causing you grief.
You sent me an entire paper about how you’re right and I’m wrong, but... I actually think I was pretty fair on Chris and gave a mostly constructive opinion. I don’t like him, I stated why, and this act of yours was entirely uncalled for, a lot like Chris stopping Sonic from going home. So you like him, okay, good for you, I like unpopular characters too, but I don’t send people essays about how they’re shitty because they don’t like Marine the Raccoon. You can’t present your opinions as fact and I never did.
All I said is I don’t like this character. You act like I threw a grenade in your house and kidnapped your wife. Just learn to chill out, stop taking these things to heart. Someone’s opinion on something you like doesn’t define you.
