I'm literally so excited to see the og Chain's replies to Legato's letter. I can only imagine the utter chaos of "WHAT- HUH?!?" That will come from that.

Will they give him advice on changing little details of the quest? Ask him to push on to reveal something earlier than what originally happened? Will someone tell Legato to play a silly yet very specific prank on their past/alternate self?

I can see all of it happening, and I know that whatever you choose to do (even if it's none of these options) it's going to be amazing because you are such a wonderfully talented author!

As for their reactions, you pretty much got it all down. After the initial wave of letters that amounts to "we know your gimmick is having done this all before but wtf Legend", there's a lot of curiosity about their alternate selves.

I probably won't spend much time on their exact correspondence, but everyone ends up asking Legato what he thinks of these different versions of them--with varying degrees of directness and insecurity. It's a weird situation all around. Legato definitely takes a few days figuring out the best way to word everything since it's a delicate balance between being enthusiastic about his new brothers and not wanting it to sound like he's replacing them.

OG!Time and Warriors are the most focused on helping Legato plan out changes to the timeline, whereas Twilight and Wild are trying to serve as emotional support so that he doesn't feel like he's solely responsible for the well-being of the new Chain. Everyone else falls somewhere between those extremes.

(OG!Wind is the first to help him plan a prank. The other Wind catches Legato halfway through him executing it and demands to join in.)
