….so I don’t know trains. I know net zero about trains. I knew I wanted to do something vague and fun with them, so I just looked up “place I live” + “abandoned train” and found a blog from a couple years ago about an abandoned train someone found in the woods!!!!
That’s why their names don’t match their title, no one knows what their original make or model was.
-Mable is definitely the more serious twin of the two, as she really wants to get back on the tracks. She hates not knowing much about herself, but has resolved herself to be the best that she can despite this
-Marley is definitely more easygoing, more cheerful, and overall more content to chill in the freight yard with Belle. He’s made peace with his mysteriousness.
-Both of them barely leave the yard, because when they do train (HA) they do it closer to home, so they get their gossip from Rusty. Marley is probably a bitttt of a Greaseball fanboy at heart, and Mable thinks she could beat GB in a race and vows to do so whenever he’s brought up

#twisted wonderland#twisted wonderland spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 part 11 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 part 11 spoilers#unfortunately leona's ultimate happy dream did involve his entire family dying tragically. them's the breaks.#(for the record he is a little messed up about this) (he is a little messed up about a lot of stuff)#the context of cheka is that they were going to try to shock leona awake by having him show up#however while styx could provide them with a 3d model based on a bodyscan (which they had for...reasons??) they had no data on his behavior#so he was basically just a little frozen mannequin#(the sprite was not t-posing but in my heart this was happening)#ruggie could kind of pilot him with his magic but it only lasts for a few seconds so he had to keep recasting it with noticeable choppiness#so while we don't get the entire effect due to the limitations of the format#this means that leona was in the middle of let-them-eat-cake'ing a revolution when suddenly#his late nephew bursts jerkily in through the door yelling OJITAN I'M ALIVE AND MY VOICE CHANGED OFFSCREEN#honestly they spent more time thinking of how to explain ruggie's terrible impression of cheka than anything else#how could leona have seen through this brilliant plan so quickly 🤔#man i really did love his horrible dream though#i like him as a character but i wasn't expecting his dream to be the one that got to me like that#love how all the savana dreams were like#jack: what if leona was really cool and my friend :)#ruggie: what if my dad came back and leona created a socialist utopia for me :)#leona: what if i finally got the chance to prove myself except i screwed everything up and everyone hated me and my family was dead#his conversation with kifaji at the end 😭#kifaji in his dream in GENERAL acting as a counterpoint to his phantom like. like!!!! every stellaron hunter protects silver wolf, no matter how indifferent they may act towards her. they all entertain her whims, no matter how little they understand them, and i have no doubt that if she ever was in danger, they would drop everything to save her. she's the support and while she can absolutely handle her own, they try to keep her out of the front lines if possible. it doesn't matter what the situation is, if silver wolf is ever in danger, you protect her, end of discussion.

i feel like i won’t be able to put this correctly but i love the difference between how azi and crowley express their love and how beelzebub and gabriel express it. like beez and gabriel love each other but they never kiss because they’re not humans, they’re ethereal/occult beings who don’t express love in human terms. and their love isn’t explicitly romantic or queerplatonic or platonic but it doesn’t matter the label except that they’re in love.
but with crowley and azi, they’ve lived among humans for 6000 years, and they like earth and humanity, they enjoy eating human food and drinking and they enjoy human music and dancing and books, and i think overtime they’ve become connected with the human experience. so, when crowley comes to terms that he loves azi and needs to express it, his first instinct is to express how humans do—by kissing him.
it doesn’t mean they’re suddenly explicitly romantic, just that they’re expressly in love, and crowley in his desperation needs to show aziraphale those feelings before it’s too late. but unfortunately, he’s always too late.

Ok, Odysseus, the raining* king of Ithaca, is my Roman Empire.
And I don't particularly mean all the "adventures" he went through or the wrong he might have done.
It's the pain of a parent who has not been able to watch his child grow up.
He remembers him as a baby. He was once very close to home, to be able to see (and raise) him still as a child, but that too was taken from him. If it weren't for the right circumstances, he might not have recongnise him in adulthood.

#yes it's thanks to Epic#but I have read the Odyssey in the month between finally getting into Epic and the Thunder Saga release. it's one of my favourite books now#and both versions of Odysseus live in my head now and my heart aches for both of them for reasons that are sometimes similar#Epic's Odysseus is more centred on his wife which is very lovely and then his son#the original Odysseus seems to be more concerned for Ithaca and then his son#however they both care for all three#and the part where the original Odysseus finally reunites with Penelope is one of my favourite parts#I'm not a mother yet#don't know if I'll ever be#although I'd love to#just imagining being kept from my child for 20 years. not being to see them grow and be there for them when they would need me makes me cry#I don't know if I could survive that#I get extremly sad when thinking about Anticlea as well#Odysseus#Odysseus of Ithaca#Telemachus#Anticlea#parental love#the Odysseey#Epic: the Musical#“Time for me to be the father I never was”#oversharing#I'm having an emotional day today sorry about that

Just finished season 6 of the Dragon Prince

#tdp#the dragon prince#tdp spoilers#the dragon prince season 6#the dragon prince season six#Jesus where do I even begin#it was so profound#so well written#so raw and emotional and yet so triumphant in some parts#I already related to Soren because of who I am and my relationship with my father#this season was like a stab to the heart#and then it has the gall to make me cry tears of joy#because of the queer wedding and just. all the love#this season had a lot of death and destruction but also so much love#love for partners#love for family#love for friends#it was all so gut wrenching in how it could be both hopeful and tragic#anyways the writers cooked#however I will be asking them to pay for my therapy#someone please talk to me about this season#dms or reblogs idc I need to RANT#also I saw so much symbolism and motifs in the backgrounds and so on FUCCCKKK#please please someone let me ramble about the beautiful writing decisions

#they deserve more love and discussion#saying this while also not knowing what to say other than they’re so fucking good#alan wake 2#i think it’s partially because poets of the fall’s tracks are iconic so of course they’re in the spotlight (as deserved)#but also the CHAPTER SONGS. them being made for a given chatacter(s) with the help of Sam lakes poetry#the changes with ‘this road’ by Poe with every Alan chapter. becoming more distorted and revealing lyrics and the spiral#the scratch song being 1) hilarious and 2) similar to Zane’s poetry in the aw1 arg#the emotion in superhero when saga feels lost at the story making it so Logan was gone#the lines of her feeling like a ghost in this story forming around her.. how she feels guilty and absent for both what the story’s doing#and being away from Logan because of her job. ashdhhhhjhh my heart#AND. follow you into the dark HAS to be alice. which kills me because at for at I thought of Alan#but no. Alice jumped in the dark place after him. it’s so !!!!!!!!!!!#the rabbit hole line. Alice spiraling deeper and deeper into a dream—into wonderland#the Lost at Sea one is also good. intrigues me. the Bowie and Lynch references are blatantly aw2 Zane#but it’s so similar to diver Zane and the ‘originals’ death. being lost in the dark place with illusions of escape#and losing any sense of identity. whether he’s real at all or the monster of this sea or just a lost soul.#the soft and calm vocals / instrumental really makes the whole thing#NEED to stop typing more tags because this is a Lot. however.#‘no one left to love’ is also a phenomenal song and one of my favorites from the album. GORGEOUS vocals and how it all flows together.#such a powerful and beautiful way to end a chapter#anyway that’s all I had to say :)#god. I’ve started to watch a few playthroughs of the game and 90% of people have skipped the chapter songs and every time im#that’s fair but my brain and soul might implode if I don’t see anyone else talking about how good these songs are

i was on the most random nostalgia kick and rewatched the prince of egypt yesterday and let me just say... that movie is truly one of the greatest animated films of all time.
#it's sooo good#i'm not religious but i enjoyed it from start to finish#i used to be christian (not my fault‚ raised that way) and even though i left the faith a long time ago biblical stories still fascinate me#like they're so interesting when you look at them as simply ancient mythology#and one thing i really appreciate about the prince of egypt is that they don't shove any religious message down your throat#the focus is on moses and ramses's relationship#and... wow. i did not remember it being that deep. i was NOT expecting to get so invested in their tragedy#i really liked the sort of grey area they both fell into and how they weren't just starkly good and evil#like ramses being the way he is because of what his father drilled into him‚ his fear of being the “weak link” and dooming his empire#and ofc moses unleashing the plagues and even allowing ramses's son to die in order to free his people#but i loved how they showed he was torn up about it because yeah! the egyptians were his people too!#and i loved how ramses didn't immediately hate him when the plagues began! he still loved him and saw him as a brother‚ however misguided!#but then moses proved he was willing to do anything for the hebrews' freedom. only then was their relationship beyond saving#this movie made my heart hurt a little. the deteriorating relationship of two brothers at the centre of it all... god#i have so many thoughts and feelings#it's so good. and ofc the animation is stunning. it's definitely a favourite of mine#some things from your childhood hit different when you revisit them as an adult because man i did not grasp all these layers as a kid#text#personal#misc
