I really love apocalypse and dark fic - stories that really push the characters. If done well and in-character, they can be so rewarding to read. I like reading stuff that pushes the boundaries of what is currently in the fandom, something that makes you think, something that talks about the human condition in response to stress and loss and violence. I enjoy pushing the envelope in my own writing, as you know. I like to read and write fics/stories that say something.

And, along those lines, I sure do like angst and hurt/comfort fics, of course. 

On the fluffy side, I love Pining (with a capital P) - give me all that miscommunication, heart-fluttery, howdoItellthem??? crap. Give me the sad pining. Give me tsunderes pining. Give me the unresolved sexual tension pining. OOF. YEAH, MAN. I put all that shit into my own writing and I love the sorts of fics that include it. The Pining is what makes the romance genre so juicy and ENDS ME.

And I do very much enjoy fluff, but I’m VERY picky about it. I want private fluff. Snuggles and touches when no one’s looking? A confession done in a secretive spot (and no one interrupts)? A soft kiss in the rain? Make out session behind a snow bank? UwU shit on a private balcony??? SECRET RELATIONSHIP??? FORBIDDEN ROMANCE??? I AM ENDED. Please. I want my private fluff.
