Not good at saying goodbyes.
Part 2/4 - previous - next
Lena Oberdorf × Reader
Lena Oberdorf Masterlist
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
And here you were about to turn 23, you were a late bloomer in football. Only having a big boom in the past two years, playing for Barcelona.
You were set to play the euros for your national team, as you already did play for the qualifiers. You had finally been called up to play, and represent your country. That was, Spain. Despite being born and raised in Germany, you were only a little girl. The most memories you had in football was unfortunately made in Spain. It had been almost 15 years. So it felt like the right thing.
If someone would have told you that then, you would never believe them. You would say there was no way, and you would take the first chance you had, to go 'home'.
But you followed your path, with the best opportunities you had, presented to you. And that's how you ended up where you were now. On a top team, being among awarded players. And you were happy. Really. But something was always missing, and you couldn't figure out what it was.
Asking for a transfer to Bayern Munich as a loan, was a slight desperate try, at trying to fix that feeling.
And the deal had been settled.
And you were feeling great and confident, despite knowing you would have to sooner or later face your old friend, but for only 90 minutes max.
Your plans had been frustrated when a week after the announcement over your contract, Bayern announced another transfer. From Wolfsburg. The very same girl you couldn't stop worrying about.
You deeply hoped you would be better at hello, better than you ever were at goodbyes.
Not knowing where to start was tough. After all, besides the loss of contact, you had so many chances of reconnecting. But you both chose not to.
You, because you were extremely scared of the rejection. And her, simply because she was still not over how betrayed she felt, even after all this time.
You didn't know what you were expecting, but being humiliated by having your existence ignored, was not on your list of possibilities.
You came in, to get ready for your first day. Georgia came over to try and fit you in.
"Hello! It's nice to have you here already! Your spanish right? Do you have a german family? You have a german last name."
"Well yeah, I was actually born here, but I grew up there."
"Really? But you play for the national team no?" she asked as you two moved outside.
"Yes, played for them first time this year."
"Hola!" - said Giulia coming close to you.
"She's speaks english and german probably." - said Georgia stoping her friend from embarrassing herself with bad spanish.
"Yes, english or german, or spanish, whatever you prefer."
"We're so excited to have you here, come I'll take you around, you can meet everyone."
And you did. But when you were about to approach Lena and Lea, she simply walked away.
"Hey, sorry about her." - said Lea, with a tight lip smile.
"It's fine."
But it hurt. And it was only going to get worse.
Every chance she had to pass you the ball, she didn't. Everyone noticed at this point. And in the locker room, she didn't make an effort to hide the fact that your presence bothered her.
From that day on, that's what it was like.
You knew you deserved a cold shoulder, but this was too much, and it started taking a tow on you.
You decided to move back to Germany, trying to fill a small void you had deep down, not to make it feel worse. Had you made the right decision?
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
"Good morning Y/N!" as she caught up with you on the parking lot.
"Morning Georgia."
"I know it's none of my business and you probably don't even know, since you just met. But is there something wrong between you and Oberdorf?"
"Uhm-" in a way you were kinda glad to be cut off.
"I'm sorry it's just been so weird. We've never had something like this happen in the team."
"I'll try talking to her."
You hated the unwanted attention, especially on something you were so sensitive about.
But she was one of your captains, if she came up to say something like that, it was probably because she wanted to sort it out.
Lena's pov
"You need to try and be more subtle, the girls are worried about the team's harmony." said Lea to her friend.
"I'm not going to play my feelings down!"
"I'm not asking you to. But at least inside the pitch, you need to put your feelings a side momentarily. You can't let this harm our team's performance."
"See that's exactly what your doing!"
"Lena! You just got here. You can't risk this over pride. You don't need to talk to her, just play football like I know you can."
This time she only nodded. This couldn't be bigger than her career. And that she agreed on.
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
reader's pov
During training today, it felt like something was different. Besides the fact you had fallen in the same group as Lena. And you two did football like you used to. So much, you had beaten the opposite group on 5-1. Something that hadn't happened yet since your first day. Her passes from the middle field to your position as a left winger, made sure that most balls got into the penalty area so Lea and Pernille could manage goals.
The way she had been acting made you think something between you had changed. That gave you a little hope as you went to talk to her, later in the locker room.
"Hey... I just wanted to- I wanted to apologize." - You said barely above a whisper.
"I don't want your apologies. I'm not doing this for you."
"Still, I need to apologize. There's no excuse to what I've done and-"
"Your right there's no excuse." she said dryly as she walked away.
You felt like someone grabbed your heart that was already holding on to it's pieces, and smashed it against a wall.
You never thought you would see this side of her. In reality that part of her had only been created after the harsh reality had hit her all those years ago.
Like you had drove her to create the best side of her. The kind, funny and quick witted one, you had managed to do the same, but for the worse.
You moved as quick as you could, into a stall, and cried your eyes out, as quietly as possible. Not quiet enough though, apparently.
"Y/N? It's Giulia." She said softly as she sat down next to you, outside the stall. "Do you need anything?"
You were quiet for a few minutes.
"A hug?" whispering back.
You sounded like a little girl, scared off by the monsters under her bed.
"Of course."
You got up and unlocked the door, as you walked into her arms.
"You don't owe me an explanation. But if you need to talk, I'm here."
"Did you hear any of it?"
"Yeah."
"We were childhood best friends. When I had to leave the country. I didn't say goodbye. I couldn't."
"How old were you?"
"About eight."
"You were just a kid!"
"It's still my fault."
"Honey no! You were so young, I can't imagine how it was for you. You were about to lose everything you knew. You can't spend the rest of your life carrying this weight!"
"Well even if it was a child's mistake, I have lost her forever. If I could go back in time I would."
"I believe you. Just give her a little time, and she'll see it too. What you two did today was amazing! You guys were synced like one. I saw a slight tiny smile on her face when you assisted those two goals."
"Really?"
"Yes, it was in her eyes. She is really good at keeping a straight face, but I'm better at reading people."
"Thank you. I haven't talked about this in years."
"I'm here. Now let's get you home, do you need a ride?"
"No, I'm good, I drove here."
"Okay. Anything, you call me, yeah?"

Trump Weird News - Trump: Lucky Loser
"Lucky Loser: "How Trump Squandered His Father's Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success" Russ Buettner, Susanne Craig Random House, Sep 17, 2024 - Biography & Autobiography - 800 pages. From the Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters behind the 2018 bombshell New York Times exposé of then-President Trump's finances, "… an explosive investigation into the history of Donald Trump's wealth, revealing how one of the country's biggest business failures lied his way into the White House."
Soon after announcing his first campaign for the US presidency, Donald J. Trump told a national television audience that life "has not been easy for me. It has not been easy for me." Building on a narrative he had been telling for decades, he spun a hardscrabble fable of how he parlayed a small loan from his father into a multi-billion-dollar business and real estate empire. This feat, he argued, made him singularly qualified to lead the country. Except: None of it was true. Born to a rich father who made him the beneficiary of his own highly lucrative investments, Trump received the equivalent of more than $500 million today via means that required no business expertise whatsoever.
Drawing on over twenty years' worth of Trump's confidential tax information, including the tax returns he tried to conceal, alongside business records and interviews with Trump insiders, New York Times investigative reporters Russ Buettner and Susanne Craig track Trump's financial rise and fall, and rise and fall again. For decades, he squanders his fortunes on money losing businesses, only to be saved yet again by financial serendipity. He tacks his name above the door of every building, while taking out huge loans he'll never repay. He obsesses over appearances, while ignoring threats to the bottom line and mounting costly lawsuits against city officials. He tarnishes the value of his name by allowing anyone with a big enough check to use it, and cheats the television producer who not only rescues him from bankruptcy but casts him as a business savant - the public image that will carry him to the White House.
A masterpiece of narrative reporting, Lucky Loser is a meticulous, nearly-century spanning narrative, filled with scoops from Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, Atlantic City, and the set of The Apprentice. At a moment when Trump's tether to success and power is more precarious than ever, here for the first time is the definitive true accounting of Trump and his money - what he had, what he lost, and what he has left - and the final word on the myth of Trump,[as falsely] the self-made billionaire."

Next chapter is moving along, dears. Hoping to have something for you by the weekend. Here a peak into that promised strapless strap-on scene. NSFW goes without saying I guess? :)
.
The act of impulse buying items from Amazon and opting for next-day delivery contradicts every single one of Margaery’s principles. From their well-documented abuse of their workers’ rights, over union busting and a poor climate record, to their tax avoidance strategies, it’s the peak of everything any consumer with basic ethical standards should avoid.
Going against her principles isn’t something Margaery does lightly.
She knows that’s a privileged position to uphold. Principles and morals are always very bound to your circumstances. A single mother of two who works two jobs, will not have the time to spare that ethical consumption requires. The guy working a minimum wage job while paying off student loans can’t afford the higher prices that come with supporting small business.
There are situations and circumstances when upholding principles becomes tricky.
It’s debatable if your girlfriend coercing you into breaking those principles with sweet kisses and dirty words qualifies, but as Sansa licks her lips when she takes her in, eyes dark with desire, Margaery decides to postpone those moral qualms to tomorrow.
Her muscles clench around the end of the dildo rooted inside her as she looks at Sansa. She sits on the bed, in the same glorious state of undress she’s been in since Friday evening. How she rests there -braced on her hands, one of her legs bend, the other stretched in all its gorgeous length, offering a glimpse to wetness lingering between toned thighs-has Margaery so turned on, she’s struggling to breathe.
“Suits you,” Sansa says, a smile playing on her face.
Margaery takes a step towards the foot end of the bed, feeling the bulbous end shift inside her. Setting one knee on mattress she takes the end strutting out into her hand and smirks. “Matches my eyes, doesn’t it?”
Sansa nods, her chest heaving in a heavy inhale.
She holds her breath when Margaery crawls towards her; the shaky exhale caught by Margaery’s lips as they guide her back into soft pillows. Settling between legs that spread to accommodate her, Margaery puts her whole body into every kiss. She nestles the length of the cool silicone between Sansa’s drenched folds and it isn’t before long that short nails rake down her back, dig into her ass, encouraging every motion eagerly.
“Make love to me,” Sansa pleads, her voice hoarse with desire.
After a weekend of using that phrase as excessively as they did (if they’d turned it into a drinking game, they would have suffered alcohol poisoning by Saturday morning) Margaery thinks she should be somewhat desensitised to its effect. But she isn’t. Whatsoever.
Tingling arousal spreads through her and has her muscles clench tighter around the dildo. Tearing herself out of open-mouthed kisses covering her neck, Margaery braces herself on her hands and meets eyes heavy-lidded with lust.
“How do you want to do this?” Margaery asks, out of breath with both excitement and the effort to hold back the primeval urge to take Sansa so hard and so fast, her eyes will roll back in her head.
They’ve never done this. Not like this. Not her penetrating Sansa. And she’ll be damned before she lets anything ruin the most wonderful mood, charged up with excitement and lust.
Ever aware of those musings, Sansa looks up at her with features cast in soft adoration. “Missionary will do,” she says, reaching between them and getting a hold of the dildo. Teeth dig into her bottom lip and she holds onto Margaery’s eyes as she guides the tip into herself. “For starters anyway.”
“For starters?”
She nods, spreading leg wide, and Margaery dares herself at a first, shallow thrust, watching Sansa’s face closely as she slips into her with ease.
“That’s the beauty of overnight delivery, you see.” Legs snap up and winch around her hips, like a wild animal tackling its prey. “You have all day to enjoy your new purchase.”
#sansaery#writing#insidious intent#happy to tell you this is not the dirtiest scene this chapter has to offer

okay so, to have a place for consolidated information for the next little bit, since i'm sure folks have QUESTIONS given my incredibly aggressive gallows humour
MOCHI, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT?? (guts edition)
if you got here via a link, follow this link instead for the latest update here's updates 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 !
tldr ive been getting a number of recurrent small bowel obstructions located in my duodenum (first part of the small intestine, connecting the stomach to the rest of the bowel) due to external pressure on the duodenum around the 3rd to 4th (of 4) section. what's causing the pressure?? no clue actually ive done a bazillion scans and none of them have been quite clear enough for a real confident dx so i get to have surgery about it at some point in the near future
current theory is the pressure is from some sort of non-cancerous tumor mass and the plan is to cut me open nice and big, look about, and remove both this mass and the affected section of the duodenum (.5 of an organ) at a minimum, but may involve fully bipassing the duodenum when my guts get hooked back up to my stomach which could (would???) also require removing my gallbladder (1 and 2 organs respectively) (i'm having so much yanked out of my abdomen this summer jfc)
atm i'm still waiting for scheduling to give me a call to set things up. surgeon's estimate was 4-5 weeks from now (8/17 when he called). from that point i'll spend a week-ish in the hospital to make sure all hoses are firmly affixed, and then i'll have a month at a minimum before i'm reasonably healed and can go back to normal life
i have good insurance and the luck (????) of being incredibly ill at the best of times, so i've already hit my out of pocket max and thus this WHOLE THING even back dating to my first er visit end of june will cost a whopping 189$ that i've already paid. i also should qualify for my states paid medical leave and my wife will get a hefty chunk of change for living expenses via student loans. however, both those things won't hit until late september at the earliest
long term, im not expecting much of a financial burden, but short term we could use a hand with groceries and similar while we wait for my backpay and my wife's student loans
for venmo and paypal: i am @/sumomomochi for both and either is fine, though pp is labeled as a business account so pls mark f&f if you can
i also have this amazon wishlist ( https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/N1NSTH3JPCX2?ref_=wl_share ) that is like 90% meal replacement shakes and bulk shelf stable snacks, but also has a couple of other useful things like bathing wipes since i am unlikely to be able to shower well post surgery, pj pants for when it cools down (i went up a size with t because my ass and thighs got just so beefy and thus have one pair that fits rn lmao), and cat food for the penni (gotta keep my nurse well paid)
uuuh what else
like i said, i'm incredibly ill at the best of times so i am a champ at weathering this sort of stuff its nbd. "i'm sorry"s are not helpful, i'd much rather have people ask direct specific questions, either about my health status or things i'm doing to keep busy (ie "any new and fun things causing tummy issues?" or "hows your battle vest coming?" or "whats your fav line youve written this week?"). engagement and entertainment is Important to keep me from climbing the walls but i swear i will bite at straight sympathy
things ive been doing to keep me out of the er include: laying on my left side or stomach (The Digestion Position; helps get food past the squished part); eating a semi-liquid diet (hence ensure, jello, pudding, the like, though its important that i also eat solid food as much as is tolerated, which is such a delicate balance. this is why i cannot currently work); going on stupid little walks for my stupid digestive health (honestly the most important thing i can do, which im mad about, because it requires pants, but not only encourages guts to digest but also will help me not decondition, which i have already done a lot of :I)
things YOU can do to help (because i know *i* am a helper but also what is actually helpful??): financially with the above deets (no pressure); asks, comments, and other conversational interactions (i am absolutely chill with basically any kind of question and i dont mind dms if youd prefer privacy, just dont pedestal me i promise i am just A Dude); fanart for my fics (i do not care if you "cant draw" i will still love it); prompts for fandom but not necessarily fic projects (wardrobe moodboards/meta for characters, playlists/songs, smut writing how to questions, cosplay progress/plans qs, those "what was x's pov in this scene/what specifically happened between x and y in this fic?" qs andor other ask meme things idk dude i haven't been able to do shit for almost three months im booooored)
in conclusion
nurse penni says do not worry about herb patient, he is in good hands, just be sure to offer regular enrichment

A Guide to Understanding Grants, Their Purpose, and How to Apply
Grants can be a game-changer, providing much-needed funding to individuals, businesses, and organizations. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll dive into what grants are, their purpose, and how you can apply for one successfully. Whether you're seeking a grant for education, business, or personal reasons, understanding the grant application process is the key to success.
Introduction to Grants: A Simple Overview
Grants are funds provided by governments, corporations, or foundations to support individuals or organizations in achieving specific goals, such as starting a business, conducting research, or improving communities. Unlike loans, grants do not require repayment, making them an excellent opportunity for those who qualify. In this guide, we'll break down everything you need to know about understanding grants, their purpose, and how to apply effectively.
What are Grants?
Grants are financial awards designed to help people or organizations achieve a specific goal or purpose without the expectation of repayment. They are most commonly awarded to nonprofits, research institutions, and low-income individuals, though a wide variety of grants exist.
The Purpose of Grants: Why Are They Important?
Grants serve a crucial role in society by providing financial support to those who may not have access to traditional funding. Governments and private organizations offer grants to stimulate economic growth, improve education, support research, and foster innovation.
Key Purposes of Grants:
Economic Support: Grants help new businesses grow and support community projects.
Education: Scholarships and grants help students achieve higher education without the burden of debt.
Research and Innovation: Research grants fuel scientific discoveries and technological advancements.
Grants provide opportunities to underserved communities and industries, helping them thrive in ways they otherwise could not.
Types of Grants Available
There are many types of grants available, each designed for specific needs. Understanding the different types of grants will help you find the right one for your situation.
Common Types of Grants:
Federal Grants: Offered by the government to support public services, research, and education.
State Grants: Similar to federal grants but typically focus on specific state needs.
Private Grants: Provided by corporations or foundations to fund projects aligned with their mission.
Non-Profit Grants: Awarded to non-profit organizations to support their community-driven goals.
By knowing the types of grants available, you can tailor your search and application to increase your chances of success.
Who is Eligible to Apply for Grants?
Eligibility for grants varies depending on the type of grant and the organization offering it. However, there are common eligibility criteria that apply to most grants.
Common Eligibility Criteria:
Income Levels: Many grants are income-based, especially for personal grants.
Geography: Some grants are location-specific, such as state or regional grants.
Industry or Field: Specific grants are available for fields such as education, health, and technology.
Non-Profit vs. For-Profit: Non-profits often have more grant options, but small businesses and startups can qualify for certain business grants.
Understanding whether you meet the eligibility requirements is the first step in determining which grants you should apply for.
Common Purposes for Applying for Grants
People and organizations apply for grants for various reasons, including:
Education: To fund college tuition or vocational training.
Business Development: To start or expand a business.
Home Improvement: For low-income families to make necessary home repairs.
Community Projects: Non-profits often apply for grants to support their community initiatives.
Knowing why you're applying for a grant will help you narrow down your search and increase your chances of finding the right opportunity.
How to Research Grants: Finding the Right One for You
Researching grants can feel overwhelming, but with the right tools, you can streamline the process and find grants that match your needs.
Best Practices for Grant Research:
Government Databases: Websites like Grants.gov provide a vast collection of federal grants.
Foundation Directories: Platforms like Foundation Center offer comprehensive databases of private grants.
Industry-Specific Resources: If you’re in a specialized field, seek out industry-specific grant listings.
By using these tools, you can effectively narrow down your options and find the grants that align with your needs.
Key Components of a Successful Grant Application
Writing a successful grant application requires more than just filling out a form. You need to showcase why your project or need deserves funding.
Essential Elements of a Strong Application:
Clear Proposal: Clearly outline your goals and how the grant money will be used.
Supporting Documents: Include financial statements, project plans, and letters of recommendation.
Persuasive Language: Use persuasive language to demonstrate your passion and commitment to your cause.
By following these steps, you can increase your chances of securing grant funding.
Step-by-Step Guide on How to Apply for a Grant
Applying for a grant involves several steps, and following them carefully can make or break your chances of success.
Steps to Apply for a Grant:
Research and Select a Grant: Start by finding the right grant for your needs.
Prepare Documentation: Gather all necessary documents like financial statements and business plans.
Write a Compelling Proposal: Focus on your goals and how the grant will help you achieve them.
Submit the Application: Ensure you meet the deadline and submit all required materials.
Follow Up: After submission, follow up with the grant provider to ensure your application is complete.
By breaking down the process, you’ll find that applying for a grant is easier than you think.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Applying for Grants
Many grant applications are rejected because of simple mistakes. Avoid these pitfalls to improve your chances of success.
Common Mistakes:
Missing Deadlines: Always be aware of submission deadlines.
Incomplete Applications: Make sure all required documents are included.
Ignoring Eligibility Requirements: Applying for a grant you don’t qualify for is a waste of time.
By avoiding these common mistakes, you can dramatically improve your chances of securing grant funding.
Tips for Standing Out in Your Grant Application
Competition for grants can be fierce, so standing out is critical.
How to Stand Out:
Use Data: Provide data that supports the need for your project.
Tell a Story: Use storytelling to make your proposal more compelling.
Personalize the Application: Address the grant provider's mission and how your goals align with theirs.
By applying these tips, your grant application will stand out from the rest.
Grant Application Success Stories: Real-Life Examples
Sometimes, seeing the success of others can inspire you to keep pushing forward with your grant application.
Success Story Example:
A small non-profit in rural Texas applied for a grant to fund a local community garden project. Their personalized approach, clear goals, and detailed budget led them to secure $25,000 in grant funding.
These real-life examples show that grants can be the difference between a dream and reality.

The Ins and Outs of SBA Loans for Businesses
Small Business Administration (SBA) loans are an attractive option for investors, as they are typically offered at competitive rates and with flexible terms. But, before you jump in, there are some things to consider when applying for an SBA loan. Let’s take a look at the important details that you should be aware of.
Qualifying for an SBA Loan
The U.S. Small Business Administration does not provide financing directly to borrowers—rather, it partners with banks and other approved lenders to provide government-guaranteed loans to businesses. In order to qualify for an SBA loan, you must have a good credit score, a solid business plan demonstrating how you will use the funds, and a positive cash flow from your business operations. Additionally, most lenders require collateral such as real estate or equipment in order to secure the loan.
Types of SBA Loans
There are different types of SBA loans available depending on your needs. The 7(a) program is the most popular and offers up to $5 million in funding with repayment terms up to 25 years; 7(a) Express loans offer faster turnaround times but can only be used for working capital or inventory purchases; 504/CDC loans offer long-term financing with low down payments; and Microloans can provide amounts between $500-$50,000 for short-term expenses such as inventory or supplies.
Considerations when Applying for an SBA Loan
One thing that all potential borrowers should consider before applying for an SBA loan is that these loans come with certain restrictions that could impact their ability to qualify or their ability to use the funds as needed once they do qualify. For example, some restrictions include specific uses of the money (such as buying real estate), limitations on loan size based on number of employees or annual revenue, and restrictions on who can borrow (such as non-profit organizations). It is important to understand any potential restrictions before applying so that you can ensure you meet all eligibility requirements and make sure that the loan will be able to fulfill your needs if granted.
An SBA loan calculator can be a powerful business tool for business owners. It allows business owners to accurately estimate the monthly payment, total cost of the loan, and amount of their down payment. With an SBA 504 vs 7a loan calculator, business owners can confidently calculate the best business financing options for their business needs. It is essential for business owners to have a quick and valuable assessment of their business finance options before making important decisions. The SBA loan calculator is an invaluable asset to navigating business finances.
Financing a small business has many benefits but also comes with some risks—one of which is having access to sufficient capital when needed. Fortunately, there are options available such as SBA loans which offer competitive rates and more flexible terms than traditional bank loans. However, it's important to understand what qualifying criteria must be met in order for your application to be approved as well as any potential restrictions which could impact your ability to use the funds once granted. With this knowledge in mind, business owners can better assess whether getting an SBA loan is right for them and their business goals.

I'm a different anon, but I'm sorry to hear your audience fiddled out with the nsfw ban from years ago! Your art is absolutely gorgeous, and the way you present your ideas in them is so unique! Especially with the Chinese zodiac animals and the quotes you have for each of them!
Also, I'd like to ask how you started making art. I'm very interested to hear the personal journey of artists. Did you always like drawing animals, for instance? Did you go to art school or to a training of some kind, like ateliers? And do you make traditional art too, or is it all digital?
Oh thank you so much!! I do my best as I really want to just keep making art for as long as I'm alive. I'm really happy to hear you say it's gorgeous and unique ( ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ _ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀ ) Yeah it is unfortunate, but I still like being here and sharing art on here, so who ever is here to enjoy it, I'm glad! I only hope new people stick around and old ones come back, I've certainly missed getting to interact and chat like this! Oh how cool! I'm honoured ahahaha I'd love to answer these q's into my process and profession so far: I absolutely have always liked drawing animals. It started with dinosaurs, cats and dragons, I loved them all as a child, just their whole concept and how cool I thought they were! I wanted to get good at drawing so I could depict them and make my own designs, and in learning how to draw their anatomy (mostly big cats) my mom got me a book that had all sorts of animals in it and how they worked and how to render these forms. I devoured the book and I gained an interest in all animals through drawing and learning from it. From there I kinda just delved into researching whatever animal piqued my interest! Not to mention dragons (one of my prime interests) are amalgam creatures and so in my pursuit in being able to draw any kind of dragon, knowing a whole lot about different animals is a huge boon in designing them! I did, I actually went to a Fine Arts university as I originally was going to be a bonafide gallery artist and wanted to gain as much knowledge into different techniques and mediums and conceptualization as I could. I'm pretty poor but had stellar grades so Uni was a great option for me to get access to studio equipment and knowledge thanks to qualifying for scholarships and loans. It was like a pressure cooker for 4 years and I can only describe it as the best of times and the worst of times;; I have a Bachelor's Alma Cum Laude in Fine Arts. I do! Since I originally was going to be a physical installation artist, I know how to build and construct kinda whatever? I have a minor in sculpture and I've made something in almost every medium from paper to concrete to silicone to plasma cutting metal and more.
When I got out of Uni I unfortunately lost my access to a ton of this equipment and wasn't successful in finding a replacement studio due to the financial/location/funding cuts barriers. I kinda became disillusioned with the prospects in the art world at this time and realised this wasn't the only space where I could have a career as an artist. So I changed my focus to becoming an illustrator and character designer. I taught myself digital at the same time I was getting my degree, so I honed my skills from then to be up to snap for production level art. I'm currently art director for an indie game project rn doing exactly that! (Although this is one of three jobs I'm juggling atm, it's why I've been posting less these days, I'm quite busy ( ´ ◇`)ゞ)
That being said I still make things occasionally at my house as I still like making physical things from scratch when I have the time/money to do so! I like making masks and small sculptures, examples of these being this mask and this keychain :3c I always thought that the medium should be chosen based on what best serves the idea in mind, but most of my art is digital due to the production costs for making this art being nearly zero (as long as I have my tablet and electricity!) and having greater access to offer my artistic services with digital media ;o
#anon#risky rambles#asks#long post#i had a lot to say!#thank you for asking me all this#once I get talking I like never shut up haaaa#i hope this is interesting!#can u tell im on the spectrum?? hahaha

What is a merchant cash advance?
A merchant cash advance (MCA) is a form of financing typically used by small businesses that need access to capital.
GO TO - https://www.fiverr.com/leads_seo_web
OR
It is not a loan in the traditional sense but rather an advance based on the future revenue or credit card sales of the business. Here’s how it generally works:
Advance Amount: A business receives a lump sum upfront from a merchant cash advance provider.
Repayment Method: Instead of fixed payments, the repayment is made through a percentage of daily or weekly credit card sales. This percentage is agreed upon in the advance terms and is called the holdback or retrieval rate. The actual amount paid back each day or week fluctuates with the business's sales volume.
Cost of Advance: The cost of the money provided is typically calculated using a factor rate rather than a traditional interest rate. Factor rates usually range from 1.1 to 1.5 times the advance amount. This means if a business receives an advance of $10,000 with a factor rate of 1.3, it will need to repay $13,000.
No Collateral: MCAs usually do not require collateral but rely on the business's existing cash flows as evidenced by past credit card sales.
Speed: One of the advantages of a merchant cash advance is the speed with which businesses can gain access to the capital. The process can be much quicker than that of a traditional bank loan, often within a few days.
Eligibility: The eligibility for an MCA primarily depends on the volume of a business’s credit card transactions rather than the credit score of the business or the owner, making it accessible to those who might not qualify for traditional loans.
Merchant cash advances can be a valuable source of financing for businesses that need quick access to cash and have a high volume of credit card sales. However, they can also be more expensive than traditional loans due to higher factor rates and can lead to a cycle of debt if not managed properly. It's important for businesses to consider all options and understand the terms fully before entering into a merchant cash advance agreement.

Private Moneylender or Bank Overdraft: Which option is best the SMEs?
Finally, you receive a call. The customer is interested in placing an order after reviewing your catalog and prices. They are working with your business to draft a contract. You feel happy and a little concerned. Even if you are managing a sizable order, your cash register isn't quite overflowing.
You call your bank manager on the advice of your accountant and request a short term loans so that you may start manufacturing. Although empathetic and kind, the management declines your request. Because of the relative youth of your company, you are unable to provide the necessary collateral.
He keeps asking you to apply for overdraft credit on your current account, so you finally do. You haven't utilized this facility, therefore you don't know how it works.
How do company loans for bank overdrafts function?
Having a current account entitles clients (i.e., company owners) to access a bank overdraft facility, which is a type of credit. The bank authorizes a specific sum as the maximum. Up to this amount, you may withdraw cash or pay with a check for work-related activities. For overdraft credit, the majority of banks will need collateral, which may be investments or fixed deposits.
Other characteristics are:
The interest rate is typically 1% to 2% more than Malaysia's prime lending rates, which are at 4.4%.
The amount you draw that exceeds the balance in your current account is subject to daily interest calculations.
There is no time restriction on when overdraft fees must be repaid, but the bank has the right to stop offering this service at any moment and demand payment for the overdraft.
This seems like a logical and simple way to get a micro business loan Malaysia for your immediate financial needs or other fund requirements, such as business expansion or renovation, the purchase of more modern and essential equipment, a brief cash crunch caused by lower-than-average sales, or liquid funds to sell a seasonal good or service.
The small company owner in the aforementioned circumstances is fortunate to obtain unsecured credit. Now for the challenging part.
Examining paperwork:
For applications and supporting documents for overdrafts, banks have strict guidelines. Much documentation, including your company's financial reports, must be submitted. Before processing your request, banks may require up to 3 weeks to review your application, verify your paperwork, examine your business's revenue and profitability, and check your credit rating and payback history.
Every small to the medium-sized firm will eventually require funding.
There is no assurance that you will get final permission despite the thorough review and lengthy procedure. You could not receive a credit extension after carefully waiting for one. To make matters worse, because of a delay in gathering money, you are obliged to decline that deal that could have changed your life.
You sometimes can't wait for money since it will hurt your business and revenues. You can experience a sudden financial deficit or need money for unforeseen equipment maintenance or raw material replacement.
There are situations when you lack the paperwork required to obtain a bank loan. You might not be qualified for standard loans or government grants if you are a start-up or an unemployed individual operating a new firm.
So, is there a secure funding option?
Borrow money for your business from a licensed money lender:
Since they are reliable solutions with liberal laws and procedures, licensed money lenders are often used in Malaysia. Less paperwork and rapid approval are guaranteed.
Complete an online form, provide some simple documentation, and then wait a few days. Your unsecured business loan will be approved, and the lender will get in touch with you to arrange an immediate cash release. You may borrow any amount of money if your business, store, or other commercial endeavor is older than two years. This is dependent on the risk tolerance of the lender and your repayment capacity.
For smaller loans, money lenders won't be finicky about credit scores, but they could run a credit check before making a large business loan. Based on the amount borrowed, interest rates are typically fixed monthly rates. Negotiations over interest rates and flexible repayment options are both possible with a private moneylender.

A businessman was as rich as he was, he used to perform yajna-pooja etc. Once he lost in business. Now he didn't even have money left to run the family.
The businessman's wife suggested that a big Seth lives in the neighboring town. They buy the virtues of others. You go to them and sell some of your good deeds and bring some money to start business again.
The merchant had no desire to sell virtue, but due to the pressure of wife and concern of children, he became ready to sell virtue. Wife made four chapatis to eat on the way.
The merchant walked to the city where the buyers of Punya lived. She was hungry. Before entering the city she thought to eat. A bitch immediately stood with her three born children as she took out bread. Bitch gave birth to babies in the jungle. Rainy days and the kids were small, so she couldn't go to town without them.
The merchant got pity. He gave a bread to the bitch to eat. The bitch smoked bread in a blink of an eye but she was still starving. The merchant fed the second bread, then third and then four breads to the bitch. Reached to Seth after drinking only water.
The merchant told Seth that he has come to sell his virtue. Seth was busy. He said come in the evening. Seth went home for lunch and told his wife that a businessman has come to sell his virtue. Which virtue should I buy.
Seth's wife was very husbandy and proven. He noticed that the businessman fed bread to the bitch today. She told her husband to buy her virtue today which she earned by feeding bread to an animal. That is his greatest virtue so far.
The merchant came again to sell his virtue in the evening. Seth said- I want to take the virtue of the sacrifice you have done today. The merchant started laughing. He said if I had money for yagna would I come to you to sell virtue!
Seth said you saved the lives of a hungry animal today by feeding him and his children. I want the same virtue. The merchant got ready to sell that virtue. Seth said that in return of that virtue, he will give the merchant diamonds and pearls equal to the weight of four breads.
Four chapatis were made and placed in a scale. In the second palade, Seth kept diamonds and jewels in a potli.
Not even shaken. Another potli was ordered. Still didn't shake. Even after keeping many potalis, it did not move, the trader said - Sethji, I have changed my thoughts. I don't want to sell virtue anymore.
The merchant walked towards his home empty handed. He was afraid that as soon as he entered the house, there would be a quarrel with his wife. Where he put bread to the bitch, picked up some pebbles and tied the knot together.
On reaching home, the wife asked how much money she got by selling virtue, she showed the bag and said she will open it at night only after the meal. After this, he went to the village to ask for some loan.
Since his wife saw the bag, he was not patient. She opened the bag as soon as her husband left. Her eyes were torn out. The bag was full of diamonds and gems. When the businessman returned home, his wife asked who paid such a good price for good deeds? Where did so many diamonds and jewels come from??
The merchant said - Show me where are the diamonds and jewels. Wife brought the potli and flipped in front of him. Precious gems fell from her. The merchant was shocked. Then he told the wife everything. The wife regretted that she forced her husband to sell virtue in disaster.
Both decided they would take a bit out of it and start a business. We will mix the money received from business and invest it in public welfare.
God will test you. In exams he tests the same qualities you are proud of. If you survived the exam, God will give you those qualities as a blessing forever.
If you don't pass the exam, God starts looking for another person qualified for that quality. That's why you should keep faith in God and walk on the right path even in times of disaster. Your pebbles can be precious gems too.

Here is the Mother Jones piece mentioned in the original article. Below is my transcript of the exchange (video at previous link):
M: My name is Martha. I'm 62 years old, and currently homeless. In 2020, I had a heart attack. Then I got diagnosed with Long Covid, which will disable me for the rest of my life. I lost my job, my income. I had no choice but to apply for social security disability. It's been three years I've been waiting for a decision. Because of no income, I lost everything. I have no health insurance, I can't get the medical treatment that I need, and my question for you is: how will you help the disabled people so that they can get insurance and make America great again? KH: I'm so sorry for everything you've been through. Your point about Long Covid— finally, I was actually part of pushing to make sure that Long Covid is now recognized under the Americans with Disabilities Act, so it is now recognized as being a disability for the purposes of allowing you, and people who have Long Covid, to be eligible for disability benefits, and that's a very big point. As it relates to disability rights, as a general matter it's something I've worked on for years, the point just being very simply frankly, which is that all people regardless of disability should have equal access to housing, to job opportunities, to education, and again, to dignity. And there's still a lot of work that we have to do in that regard. What we have to do in terms of also making sure that somebody who experiences an acute illness does not lose everything. It's still work we have to do. Part of the work that I've been doing and intend to do as president includes, for example, dealing with the issue of medical debt. So this is a big issue which is people, through no fault of their own, experience a serious illness, and then they acquire all these bills and debt. Right now, the system is that that medical debt can be used against your credit score. Your credit score—everybody knows their credit score, it's like kind of like you know your weight, you know your credit score, right? So your credit score as we know will determine your eligibility for everything from a small business loan to whether you qualify for a lease on an apartment. The unfairness of it, and this is what I intend to change, is that medical debt is not a measure of how responsible you are with money. It's about the fact that you experienced an emergency for which you did not plan because you did not invite it. And then it works against people's ability to do things like get an apartment. So there are a number of issues that I think you're raising around how we have to see the full person and understand how one thing connects to another. Because as you have explained, a health issue that then results in an issue about literally housing and whether you are unhoused, an issue that is about what you qualify [for] in terms of benefits. Again, to be able to live with dignity and have a quality of life to which you are entitled after what I can tell are years of working hard.
In my personal opinion, to say this "lengthy answer" is "inadequate" is... generous.

Last night during a town hall with the Spanish-language news network Univision, Vice President and presidential nominee Kamala Harris received a question from a person with Long COVID who applied for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) three years ago and still hasn’t received a decision on her case.
Martha, who is 62, had a heart attack in 2020 and was later diagnosed with Long COVID, “which will disable me for the rest of my life,” she said. The disease has caused her to lose her job and become homeless. She asked Harris how disabled people could better access disability insurance.
Harris responded with a lengthy answer that advocates and many people with Long COVID said was inadequate. While the Democratic presidential nominee cited that she helped recognize Long COVID as a disability under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), the ADA only provides protection for people requesting accommodations and does not apply to benefits programs. Many criticized her for failing to answer the question or offer any immediate plans or policies that would expedite SSDI cases, fund Long COVID research, or prevent more cases of the disease.
A new National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) report on Long COVID as a disability, which we covered earlier this year, will allegedly be used by the Social Security Administrion (SSA) to improve their processes for Long COVID-related applications.
Mother Jones reporterJullia Métraux wrote about Martha’s question and Harris’s response today, pointing out that over 30,000 people died on waiting lists for SSDI decisions in the fiscal year 2023.
The Sick Times and The 19th reached out to the Harris campaign for comment on how the campaign will recognize and address Long COVID response but did not receive a response.

Working Capital Loans for New Businesses & Short-Term Business Loans: A Guide
For new businesses, accessing sufficient capital to cover operating costs can be challenging. Limited cash flow, combined with expenses like rent, payroll, inventory, and utilities, often leads to a need for additional funds. This is where working capital loans and short-term business loans come in, offering a financial lifeline for startups and small businesses. Uptier Capital LLC provides flexible and accessible funding options to meet these specific needs, enabling businesses to thrive and grow even in their earliest stages.
What Are Working Capital Loans?
Working capital loans are designed to help businesses cover day-to-day operational costs. They provide a quick infusion of cash that can be used for various expenses, including purchasing inventory, hiring employees, and maintaining cash flow during slower periods. Unlike other types of financing, working capital loans are not intended for long-term investments but rather for short-term needs that keep the business running smoothly.
These loans are particularly beneficial for businesses with seasonal demand, such as retail or tourism, where income may fluctuate significantly throughout the year. By obtaining a working capital loan, businesses can manage these fluctuations without depleting their reserves, ensuring they have the resources necessary to capitalize on peak seasons.
Short-Term Business Loans: How They Differ
Short-term business loans are a form of financing that provides businesses with immediate cash, typically to be repaid within a few months to a year. Unlike traditional bank loans, which often involve lengthy application processes and rigid terms, short-term loans are faster to secure, making them ideal for urgent financial needs.
For new businesses, short-term loans offer several advantages. They are easier to qualify for, especially for companies without a long financial history. Additionally, they can be customized to meet unique business needs, such as covering one-off expenses, expanding inventory, or seizing a timely business opportunity. Short-term loans are ideal for situations where the loan can be repaid quickly, allowing businesses to avoid long-term debt commitments.
Choosing the Right Loan for Your Business
Deciding between a working capital loan and a short-term business loan depends on your business’s needs and financial situation. Working capital loans are best for continuous operational expenses, while short-term loans may suit those needing a quicker, one-time cash boost. Uptier Capital LLC specializes in helping businesses choose the right loan products to align with their goals and manage cash flow effectively.
Conclusion
For new businesses seeking to establish a steady cash flow, working capital and short-term business loans offer effective solutions. Uptier Capital LLC is committed to supporting these financial needs by offering accessible, flexible loan options tailored to each unique business situation. With the right funding, startups can achieve stability, allowing them to focus on growth and long-term success.
