HEADCANONS WITH THE BOYSSSS!!!!
My last post did pretty well, and if people like it, I figured I might as well try my hand at some more!!!!
Gaz
This guy literally has the best skin in the world, it's like looking at something carved from marble, everytime you ask about his skincare routine, he just says genetics.
He detests anything made with cinnamon, his older sister once made him try a pie she made, and by the time he was done eating it, he was literally coughing up cinnamon. Didn't say anything though, couldn't be mean to his sister like that.
HE CANNOT SIT STILL!! Gaz and soap are literally the most energetic people on base. Except Price finds Gaz charming and soap less so...
Also I for some reason think he smells like oranges and mangos???
(edited after I saw a tiktok about climate change) GAZ IS SUPER VOCAL ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE, all of the boys care to some degree (get it?) but Gaz brings hard facts and evidence everytime he talks about it, Price is now worried for Gaz's mental health
Price
Where to start? Maybe with the fact he has duplicates of his hats he keeps in his office drawer. Ghost went in there one time to give Price a report and saw Price open his Hat Drawer. Ghost had never seen so many hats
If some of y'all didn't know, if you have a low tolerance to cigars and breathe in too much of the smoke, you'll get sick. So, Price keeps a puking trash can just for the people that come into his office. Is he gonna stop smoking to prevent people from losing their lunch? Never.
When he's not on duty he wears the stupid Hawaiian shirts that middle aged dads wear on vacation. Also cargo shorts. Cause they're tactical
Soap
Again, he cannot sit still. He'll wake up in the middle of the night and you'll find him in the armory tinkering with an explosive, and even then he gets up every couple minutes just to pace around
He is very meticulous about his hair. Every morning he wakes up just a little bit earlier then everyone else and hair gels that baby into place. It does not move. It could probably be as effective as a military grade helmet at that point.
THIS MAN DRAWS PORN AND POSTS IT ON TWITTER!!! He uses an alias of course, and a very well hidden drawing tablet when he's on duty. Just ignore the fact that alot of the men he draws look just a tad bit like ghost. Just a little.
Also, while all of the COD men love a woman (or man) with meat on their bones, soap is feral. Chubby chaser all the way. There's also something really hot about a person being around his height and not taking his shit.
Ghost
He has horrible acne under that mask. It's actually awful how much he goes through just to keep it on. He's done skincare, moisturizing, pimple patches, everything, and nothing work. The worst part is, he thinks the mask is so cool it's worth it
This man is an actual dork. (Idea by @ghouljams) this guy definitely makes those little miniatures. The little details he puts into every bit of his work, whether it's wood grain, the look of water, he just does it all with such skill. The plus side is that it keeps his brain at bay, not thinking and more focused on what's in front of him. He also likes DND. Go figure.
I also do like the idea of trans ghost. He understands what it was like before he transitioned and feeling ashamed of his size when he used to be forced into the stereotype of what a woman should look like. So when people fuck with you about your size, he's right behind you like he's gonna kill them.
Authors note: the only thing I'm afraid of as I start writing is 1. The fan fic author curse, and 2. People actually paying attention to me, my anxiety is gonna kill me, lol. Anyway, hope y'all are having a great day!!! Bye!!!

I haven't posted in awhile so have some art of some new OCs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two are named Arache and Ellovie they're girlfriends, Arache is based off the jorogumō, the Japanese spider lady and also the typical drider monster, I do have an old drawing of her wearing a kimono. And Ellovie is a lamia.
Arache is extremely self-conscious about her appearance, especially her face. She doesn't want to show people her face because she knows it will scare them away and she doesn't want that. So even though she doesn't like it, she hides and obscures her face to others to prevent from showing her grotesque visage, using a face mask and sunglasses, the other little eyes are either hidden behind her hair or she says they're just.. Acne.
Ellovie however is the complete opposite, she is very proud of her body and face, everyone seems to like her and she doesn't exactly know why, she doesn't see it fair that people don't mind her, a snake monster slithering around but her girlfriend, a spider monster? That's too much. Ellovie wants to show Arachne that there are people out there who don't care how she looks she's still beautiful. She fell in love with her for that reason alone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are their parents, Estralen and Kral'zu are Arachne's parents and Gez'goruth and Ophidiophanthei (yes long name) or just Orphanthei are Ellovie's
Arachne's Parents:
Estralen is the daughter of Leviathan, she is very envious of other people and their beauty. Sometimes trying to take what they have to make herself feel like she's enough.
Kral'zu is a former spider king, until a hero from a local village managed to fight him off and slay him, causing him to die and go to Hell, he was a rather spiteful fellow and didn't like sharing his power he also views humans as pests, and now even more since he's dead. Kral'zu likely had a rivalry with the Lamia tribe, and Ophidiophanthei herself, before he and she both were slain by the same monster hunter. Probably even envied how prosperous her tribe was, till she died.
How Estralen and Kral'zu met was.. Well Kral'zu came to her, or.. She came to him when she was busy looking at other demons passing by and envying what they have, she noticed Kral'zu and instantly took interest in him. After awhile of watching him, she came to him and sparked a conversation, getting to know him better, at first she was envious of course, he was a king in his lifetime, he had a kingdom of spiders and spiderfolk hidden away deep in a forest called.. "The White Silk Forest" because the trees and everything were just covered in webs. And she just had this title of being this jealous mess. Kral'zu told her that she didn't have to be jealous, she has everything in the world, and he thinks she's enough. With those words, she had a flicker appear in her gut that told her "oh God this spider is ho-"/j, they then also got married.
Ellovie's Parents:
Gez'goruth is one of the high ranking overlords in Hell, and the famed "Demon of Wrath", he's now the ruler of the Wrath ring. Despite his fiery and harsh behavior he's actually a decent father. Just don't anger him, uhh he'll explode on you and prolly singe you to death.
Ophidiophanthei was a former leader of a Lamia tribe, half snake half woman creatures, they were a prosperous tribe for many years forming close bonds with one another, until the leader was slain, and died. She was then sent to Hell. Stricken with grief and anger she wouldn't be able to see her tribemates again, she was fueled with rage and sworn vengeance on the humans who killed her, and prolly her tribe too, she then found Gez'goruth and struck a deal with him. She'll serve him under his wing, and in return she wants power. He accepted it, after years of them working together she realized she has developed feelings for him, she loved the way he battled, the fury in the fight he displays, his passion and discipline. And he too, had the same feelings. They then got married.

In the world of skincare, innovation is key, and one of the most exciting advancements is LED face mask light therapy. This cutting-edge technology has transformed the way we approach skin health, providing an effective, non-invasive solution for various skin concerns. Brands like ProTouch have brought this technology into our homes, making it easier than ever to achieve radiant, healthy skin. This article will explore how LED therapy works, the unique benefits of ProTouch masks, and how you can integrate this transformative treatment into your skincare routine.
Tumblr media
Understanding LED Face Mask Light Therapy
LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy utilizes specific wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin, targeting various skin concerns at a cellular level. The therapy is rooted in scientific research that shows different colors of light can produce distinct biological effects. Each wavelength targets specific issues, making it a versatile tool for a wide range of skin types and concerns.
The Different Wavelengths
Red Light: This wavelength penetrates deep into the skin, promoting collagen production and enhancing elasticity. Red light therapy is particularly effective for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and signs of aging.
Blue Light: A game-changer for those prone to acne, blue light targets the bacteria responsible for breakouts, helping to reduce inflammation and prevent future acne flare-ups.
Green Light: Ideal for addressing hyperpigmentation, green light helps to even out skin tone and reduce dark spots, contributing to a brighter complexion.
Yellow Light: This soothing wavelength is designed to calm sensitive skin, reduce redness, and improve overall skin vitality.
ProTouch’s LED face masks are engineered to deliver these wavelengths effectively, allowing you to customize your treatment based on your specific skin needs.
The ProTouch Difference

Benefits of Incorporating LED Face Masks into Your Routine

Reduced Acne Breakouts: For those struggling with acne, the blue light feature is a game-changer. By targeting acne-causing bacteria, users often experience clearer skin and fewer breakouts.
Brighter Complexion: The green light therapy works wonders for reducing hyperpigmentation and dark spots, promoting a more even skin tone and a brighter overall complexion.
Relaxation and Self-Care: Taking time for yourself is essential for mental and physical well-being. Using the ProTouch LED mask can become a soothing ritual that promotes relaxation, allowing you to unwind while improving your skin.
Improved Absorption of Skincare Products: Using the mask before applying serums or moisturizers can enhance product absorption. The light therapy opens up pores, allowing your skincare products to penetrate deeper and work more effectively.

To maximize the benefits of your ProTouch LED face mask, follow these simple steps:

Face Mask Skin Irritation: Here's What a Dermatologist Says you Can Do | Kosmoderma
Tumblr media
While we are trying to come out of the corona virus and set our lives back into our regular routines, one thing that is going along is the precautions we need to take to protect ourselves from the infection. One such protection is the need to wear a face mask when you step out of your house. With all the government guidelines in place, wearing a face mask whenever you go out in public has become mandatory.
With the increased use of face masks, we have observed that people have started experiencing skin issues and skin irritation on the face. According to a study published by the Journal of Wound Care from the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom, medical masks are causing inflammation and skin irritation on the face that can lead to pain and infection.
So, what do we do about it? This blog on face mask skin irritation is all about understanding the logic and working on preventive measures.
Tumblr media
Overview of “Skin Irritation to Face Mask”
Wearing a face mask continuously and for more extended periods can lead to skin irritation on the face. When wearing a mask, your mouth is covered fully, and your breath is trapped, creating a humid environment for your skin. It leads to sweating underneath the mask, which causes friction and leads to damage on and around the nose and cheeks.
According to statistics, more than one-third of frontline healthcare workers suffered from severe skin reactions after wearing N95 masks daily for a prolonged time. People report problems like breakouts, rashes, redness, skin irritation, and acne on the face.
The acne caused by continual mask wear even got a name for themselves because of their common occurrence and are known as ‘maskne.’ In some instances, continuous mask wear can also lead to severe skin irritation on face such as rosacea miliaria. Wearing a face mask for skin is causing irritation across their nasal bridge, behind the ears, and under the chin. Some skin problems from wearing face mask on skin include-
Acne- if someone is already prone to acne, wearing a face mask can lead to further breakouts. Masks block and close the hair follicles due to the sweating and dirt traps that happen because of constant coverage and lack of transpiration. This in turn leads to acne. And sometimes, things do not stop at acne. Severe damages can result into the acne turning into blood red pimple or even rosacea.
Dry skin, peeling and itching- The heat of your breath that gets trapped inside essentially dries your skin and can cause redness, skin peels or itching. For instance, if you have been in colder weather, you must have realised how continuous wearing of caps makes your forehead scaly or dry. Well, a mask does the same in case of prolonged wear.
Itchy rashes- wearing a mask for prolonged periods can also lead to rashes resulting from allergic reactions to formaldehyde, metals, rubbers, or glues present in the mask.
And yes, dry eye is one really serious concern. Check out the guidelines shared by Core for a better understanding.
https://www.kosmoderma.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Skin-iritation-2.jpg
What things should we care about while using a face mask for skin?
Not a lot, but few very critical things:
Do not keep adjusting your mask all the time. The continuous movement against your skin will create friction and hence damage the skin
Go for lighter shades if you may for the reusable masks. Darker shades don’t look dirty and hence we think that they are good to be used daily. However, this assumption is really faulty and can result in serious infections. So, wear a lighter shade that shows you the truth!
Go for softer fibres. Satin masks are available as well and you can use them
Do not buy masks with a mesh screen on the inner surface. The mesh leaves a print on the face and given the lesser area of contact, causes more wear than normal
Always check the fit of the mask before buying. It shouldn’t be too loose but it shouldn’t be too tight as well. If this works for you, then go for a mask with medium fit and use a face shield over it.
Perfect care for your face skin during quarantine to avoid skin irritation on the face
Well, let’s cut the chase and share with you the few tips that our expert dermatologists at Kosmoderma have been not just suggesting but also following themselves to avoid any face mask based skin damage. So, here we go!
Cleanliness is next to godliness- stay true to this adage and maintain complete hygiene around you. Wash your hands regularly for atleast 20 seconds to avoid spreading any germs or bacteria on the face.
Do not over-exfoliate your skin. You being at home doesn’t mean you will exfoliate or scrub the skin every other day. It can lead to itching and face soreness.
Follow a proper CTM routine (cleanse, tone and moisturize)- while many individuals might be following this ritual on a daily basis, it becomes all the more necessary to cleanse and moisturize your face once you are home and remove the mask. Wash your face with a gentle, chemical-free cleanser that is not harsh on the skin and cleanses the face thoroughly. Always follow up with a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated as it can lead to dryness and redness of the skin. Choose moisturizer as per your skin type and look for ingredients like Ceramides and Hyaluronic acid that help prevent breakouts and acne.
Use that Chapstick: Wearing a face mask for a long duration sucks moisture from the lips and makes them dry. Saw that ad about moisturising your lips- well the claim is right! So, moisturise your lips well. A honey lemon paste applied at the end of the day will go a long way in keeping your lips nourished.
Probably NO Makeup: Yes, because anyway, it’s just your eyes that will show so, why even bother. And if the dark circles seem too much for you and you feel that you need to hide them to feel confident, about time you considered going for some good under eye treatments.
Wearing the right mask- one of the most important things to consider is to look for the mask that you are wearing. A mask made of cotton or fabric that is soft, natural, and breathable will prevent any kind of skin irritation on face. The mask should be snug but with a comfortable fit. Avoid fabrics like synthetic, nylon, and polyester which can lead to redness and irritation.
Washing the cloth mask- If you are going for a cloth mask then we would recommend that they should be washed after every use to remove any dirt or dust that may have stuck to them. Also, use lukewarm water to wash the masks. It will not just remove any microbes better but also soften the overall texture.
Conclusion
Face masks have become the new normal. Even if the vaccine comes, it’s going to take some time before people are allowed to go out without masks. So, like we always say- why not be better safe than sorry?
CTA: better safe than sorry-
PS: This blog was mostly focussed on the skin bits of the protection. However, masks can impact your other bodily functions too. This image from OhioHealth focuses on it! So, while we will be there to take care of your skin, make sure that if you are facing any below mentioned symptoms, you get in touch with the relevant specialist for help!
So, until next time- Stay Safe!

Five Factors to Consider When Choosing the Perfect LED Face Mask
Five Factors to Consider When Choosing the Perfect LED Face Mask
When it comes to skincare innovations in the world today, LED face masks have been taking the spotlight for quite some time now, and with good reason. From social media influencers to skincare enthusiasts, everyone seems to be talking about the advantages of LED light therapy for combating various skin concerns and achieving radiant, glowing skin. But with so many options available in the market, how does one choose the correct LED face mask?
In this comprehensive guide, we shall delve into the world of LED face masks, understand the benefits of using one, and uncover some essential factors to consider before making a purchase.
Understanding LED Light Therapy
LED light therapy, also known as phototherapy, involves using specific wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin at varying depths. This non-invasive and painless treatment is believed to stimulate cellular activity, promote collagen production, reduce inflammation and redness, and improve overall skin tone and texture.
LED light therapy is categorised into different colours, each one serving a different purpose:
Red Light: Stimulates collagen production, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and promotes skin rejuvenation.
Blue Light: Targets acne-causing bacteria, reducing breakouts and inflammation, while preventing future breakouts.
Green Light: Calms irritated skin, reduces redness, and balances melanin production for a more even skin tone.
Yellow Light: Improves circulation, reduces redness, and enhances lymphatic drainage for a brighter complexion.
White Light: Accelerates growth and healing of skin cells, and treats wounds, acne, and wrinkles.
Factors to Consider Before Purchasing an LED Face Mask
There are several factors to consider before investing in an LED face mask, to ensure that it is the correct one to be incorporated into a skincare routine.
Some of these factors are:
1. Wavelengths and Colours: Determine which wavelengths and colours are most appropriate for the targeted skin concern, whether it is acne, signs of ageing, or overall skin rejuvenation.
2. Quality and Safety: Opt for an LED face mask from a reputed brand to ensure safety and effectiveness. High-quality materials and advanced technology will yield better results without compromising the skin’s safety and health.
3. Fit and Comfort: Ensure that the face LED light mask provides a comfortable fit with adjustable straps to ensure proper contact with the skin. The mask should be light so it is not a burden to the face when it is being worn during treatment sessions.
4. User-Friendliness: Consider purchasing a mask that is easy to use, with user-friendly controls, customisable settings, and wireless capabilities to ensure a hassle-free experience.
5. Budget and Value: LED beauty devices in Singapore are available at various price points, so individuals should consider their budget and the value they’re getting for their investment. While cost-effective options do exist, it is vital to prioritise quality and features which will provide better results.
How to Use an LED Face Mask
There are certain steps which need to be taken to maximise the benefits of an LED face mask, and they are:
1. Cleanse Skin: Thoroughly cleanse skin to remove makeup, sunscreen, dirt, and impurities which may hinder light penetration.
2. Apply Skincare Products: Apply skincare products before using the LED face mask to ensure maximum absorption and efficacy.
3. Wear the Mask: Put on the LED face mask, ensuring it is comfortably secured on the face, and adjust the straps if necessary for a snug fit.
4. Activate the Lights: Turn on the LED lights according to the desired treatment mode and duration. Most face LED light masks offer multiple settings for customised skincare routines.
5. Relax and Enjoy: Sit back, relax, and allow the LED face mask facial to work its magic. Read the instructions before, and stick to an appropriate duration for maximum results.
6. Incorporate Regular Sessions: Consistency is key to achieving desired results with LED light therapy. Incorporate regular LED face mask facials into a skincare routine for faster results.

These Ten Habits Can Truly Improve Your Skin
Everyone wants to have good skin – skin that is not only beautiful but also healthy. So, how can you achieve bright and clear skin? In fact, as long as you develop good skincare habits, your skin will gradually improve:
1. Drink More Water
One of the criteria for healthy skin is maintaining a high level of hydration. While drinking more water doesn't necessarily mean more moisture in the skin, insufficient overall water intake leading to dehydration can result in reduced elasticity and dry, dull skin.
2. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
Consuming fruits and vegetables not only ensures a balanced diet but also provides essential nutrients. Antioxidants like Vitamin C and Vitamin E found in these foods actively contribute to skin whitening and maintaining a delicate complexion.
3. Take Face Washing Seriously
Face washing should be taken seriously. Cleanse your face twice a day with a facial cleanser, followed by rinsing with lukewarm water 10-20 times. However, avoid over-cleansing, as excessive washing, especially in response to oiliness, can disrupt the skin's water-oil balance. Additionally, using "soap" to wash your face may disrupt the skin's acid-alkaline balance.
4. Moisturize Properly
After cleansing, immediate moisturization is necessary. For oily skin, oil control and moisturization should be done simultaneously to better maintain the skin's barrier function. If your skin feels dry, using a moisturizing spray is an option, but be sure to apply moisturizing products immediately afterward to prevent overall dryness caused by water evaporation.
5. Avoid Picking at Pimples
Actions like picking or squeezing pimples can cause localized infections and leave acne marks and scars. It is crucial to avoid squeezing pimples in the "dangerous triangle" area around the nose and mouth, as it may lead to retrograde infection, potentially causing cavernous sinus thrombosis.
6. Apply Sunscreen
Sunscreen should be applied generously, thickly, and frequently to be effective. Thick-textured sunscreens require an amount roughly the size of a one-yuan coin, while thinner lotions may need about two coin-sized amounts. Reapply every 3-5 hours based on daily routines and outdoor activities.
7. Wear Hats and Masks When Necessary
Physical coverage can also provide good sun protection. Additionally, hats and masks can shield the skin, reducing exposure to allergens and other harmful substances in the air.
8. Avoid Staying Up Late
Hormones are secreted according to the body's circadian rhythm, influenced by day and night. Staying up late disrupts the circadian rhythm, and even if you compensate for the duration of sleep lost after staying up late, it cannot completely repair the damage caused to the skin.
9. Manage Stress Effectively
Excessive mental stress can lead to a series of skin problems, such as pigmentation, acne, and even conditions like vitiligo and psoriasis.
10. Maintain Regular Exercise
People who enjoy exercising tend to have better complexion. The heat generated by sweating during exercise has a similar effect to thermal treatments in medical aesthetics. If choosing outdoor activities, ensure sun protection is in place.

COMBATING SKIN PROBLEMS CAUSED BY CONTINUOUS USE OF FACE MASKS
Before the onset of Corona Virus, face masks were a rare sight in cities. They were worn in India mainly during the months of October and November due to a surge in the air pollution levels but were not seen anywhere after this period. The has comepletely changed now. Many healthcare experts across the world are advocating that one has to continue using the mask untill the end of 2021. Some even prognosticate that face masks will become a necessity in the future, just like mobile phones and the internet. Ministry of Health has also advised using face masks. Face masks are now gradually making a place in our daily lives.
A few weeks ago on social media platforms, one could see images of doctors and nurses with severe redness and marks on their faces due to prolonged use of face masks. The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) in USA has also advocated use of face masks or to wear a cloth covering the face to prevent the spread of corona virus. These masks prevent us from touching our face with hands. They also prevent the spread of droplet infection caused by sneezing or coughing . The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) in USA has also advocated the use of face masks to prevent the spread of corona virus.
Face masks & skin
A team from Universityof Huddersfield’s Institute of Skin Integrity and Infection Prevention did a study published in the Journal of Wound Care in which one may find that skin can suffer great consequences from constant face covering. The study states that most face masks have tight facial fit which forms a seal around the mouth and nose area. The tight facial fit feature prevents the air-borne virus to enter the respiratory system, however; it creates friction and pressure on the skin. This “intense and prolonged” pressure leads to several skin problems.
This is how the skin responds to it –
1. Moisture and vapour, alongwith secretions like saliva, mucus and sebum are trapped inside the mask.
2. These secretions disrupt the natural lipid layer of skin. It causes pH imbalance.
3. Humidity and heat from the environment further accentuates perspiration.
4. The material of the face masks also have certain chemicals that can cause allergic reactions As a result, the skin gets red, flaky, itchy and swells up.
5. Breakouts and acne problems also arises for people with oily skin.
Once we remove the mask from face, the sudden gush of air often over dries the skin. Dust particles suspended in the air also cause skin rashes.
The question arises; should one avoid using face mask? The answer is, absolutely not. Face masks, hand sanitizers and social distancing are the safety measures necessary for fighting Covid-19. However, some skincare tips can be followed to tackle this effectively.
Tips for Before and After face mask use
Skin experts and dermatologists have recommended a few guidelines for combating skin problems while wearing a face mask.
1. Wash face before and after using a mask – It equally important to wash your face as well as your hands. Use a mild “sulphate-free” facial cleanser to remove sweat and grime from your face. People with oily skin should look for ingredients that controls excess oil and help balancing the pH of your skin. A good facial cleanser will effectively remove bacteria and unclog pores. It reduces the risk of breakouts and acne problems. Ingredients like Neem, Aloe Vera and Turmeric have excellent anti-bacterial effects. They also control excess oil and soothe skin. Sulfate-free formula will not cause over-drying of skin after face wash. Massage your face with a cleanserfor atleast sixty seconds.
2. Use a light moisturiser – Apply a gel-based moisturiser at least 30 minutes before using a face mask. This light moisturiser will reduce the friction on skin. Choose ingredients like Sandalwood oil, Avocado and Aloe Vera which are cooling in nature and light on skin as well. Use this moisturiser after using a facial cleanser. For oily skin, a moisturiser with antiseptic benefits is a must. These ingredients will help hydratinf skinand balancing the skin’s oil production.
3. Avoid makeup under the mask – Manhattan based dermatologist, Dr. Hadley King suggests not using makeup on the entire face. One may resort to eye makeup like kohl, eye liners and mascara. Foundations and heavy concealers are made up of harmful chemicals like silicones and petrochemicals. These ingredients react with skin due to increased humidity under the mask which could affect sebum production and eventually causing breakouts and acne problems.
4. Do not skip Toner – After washing face with facial cleanser, use an alcohol-free toner on skin. Toners help to minimize pores and maintain the pH balance of skin. Some ingredients such as Rose and Cucumber help in calming irritation on skin. Allow your skin to absorb the toner naturally. Apply a light moisturiser after after toning. Avoid application of astringents on skin as this would cause excess drying and irritation.
5. Exfoliate  – You may use a gentle scrub on face at least once in a week. Exfoliators help in removing dead skin, blackheads and whiteheads. Exfoliation helps in cleansing pores and minimising the risk of bacterial growth. Use a scrub for at least 6 to 7 minutes with gentle massage either in upward direction or circular motion. Ingredients like rock salt, turmeric and apricots are great for exfoliation purpose. Make sure that the scrub has mild granules that doesn’t harm skin.

Acne On Chin: How Is It Treated?
Acne on the chin is very common nowadays, especially for those individuals with adult or hormonal acne. Acne on the chin as well as jawline has also been associated with hormones, commonly in women. Hormones, also called androgens, stimulate the production of sebum, which works by clogging the pores. Hormone production also increases during the teenage years, which makes acne breakouts in teens extremely common. Moreover, a lot of men and women continue to develop acne throughout their adulthood, too.
To provide readers with a better understanding of acne on the chin, we have created this post by taking help from renowned skin experts like Dr. Shikha Aggarwal, who is also considered the best skin doctor in Ludhiana. Let’s start by learning the causes of chin acne.
Tumblr media
What Causes Chin Acne?
Acne on the chin occurs due to clogged hair follicles caused due to dead skin cells, bacteria, and excessive oil. Other reasons why chin acne worsens include makeup, hair products, and moisturizers, which contain heavy oils that clog pores. The excessive production of sebum and accumulation leads to inflammation. Wearing masks for longer periods also increases bacterial growth in the pores, which could lead to acne.
How Can I Treat Chin Acne?
As there is no one-size-fits-all acne treatment, one can consult a skin specialist for a tailor-made treatment regime according to their skin type, medical history, and severity of condition. Treatments for acne include as below:
Over the Counter Topical Treatments
Topical treatments such as creams and serums are most commonly used to treat acne. One can find some in the form of gels, lotions, face wash, etc., to treat acne. These can include salicylic acid, adapalene, benzoyl peroxide, tea tree oil, etc. One can consult an experienced skin doctor to determine the suitable treatment for their skin concerns.
Topical Medications
A prescription topical acne treatment is necessary if one has moderate to severe acne but has not found any relief due to OTC solutions. Some examples of these topical medications include antibiotics and retinoids.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels work by exfoliating the skin by applying chemical peel agents on the surface of the skin. This helps to remove dead skin cells and excessive oil. It also prevents blockage of hair follicles, which cause acne formation. Unlike over-the-counter peels, medical chemical peels work deeply in the skin to exfoliate thoroughly.
Laser Treatments
Lasers help in controlling inflamed acne lesions by targeting the main pathophysiologic factors. While topical treatments help to control bacteria on the skin’s surface, lasers penetrate the dermis and destroy acne-causing bacteria while affecting the deep layers of the skin and clearing the pores. The sebaceous glands also shrink as a result of this and reduce sebum production by preventing acne. Besides treating acne, laser treatment can also be used to remove damaged layers of skin.
Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling
This is a minimally invasive procedure that helps prevent acne by minimizing the size of pores and by slowing down acne breakouts. RF microneedling makes use of fine needles to create channels in the skin, which delivers radiofrequency energy directly to the deeper skin layers. Besides stimulating collagen and elastin production, it also tightens collagen fibers, reduces acne scars, etc.
Conclusion
The causes of skin differ between different individuals. So, if topical solutions do not work, it is best to schedule a consultation with expert skin specialists.
One can make an appointment with Dr. Shikha Aggarwal, a renowned skin specialist who practices at Bliss Laser Skin Clinic. She will determine the severity of the condition and will recommend the best course of treatment depending on the skin type of the individual. One can consult her to get the best acne scar treatment in Ludhiana. For more details, pay a visit to Bliss Laser Skin Clinic today.

While treatments can significantly reduce the appearance of dark patches on the skin, prevention and home remedies also play a vital role in maintaining clear and even-toned skin:
Sun Protection: The most crucial step in preventing further hyperpigmentation is to protect your skin from the sun. This includes wearing sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, seeking shade, and wearing protective clothing.
Topical Antioxidants: Incorporating antioxidants like vitamin C into your skincare routine can help protect the skin from free radicals and reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Gentle Exfoliation: Exfoliating the skin regularly can help remove dead skin cells, allowing new, even-toned skin to surface.
Natural Remedies: Some natural remedies like aloe vera, lemon juice, and licorice extract are believed to have skin-lightening properties. However, use them with caution and consult a dermatologist, as they may not be suitable for all skin types.
Stay Hydrated: Proper hydration is essential for healthy skin. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin moisturized and supple.
Conclusion
Dark patches on the skin, or hyperpigmentation, can be a source of frustration and self-consciousness for many individuals. However, with a variety of treatment options available, ranging from topical creams to cosmetic procedures, it's possible to achieve a more even complexion. Embracing the Glow: Dealing with Skin Changes During Pregnancy
Tumblr media
Pregnancy is a beautiful and transformative journey for a woman, but it also comes with its fair share of challenges. One of the most common and noticeable changes that many expectant mothers experience is changes in their skin. From the notorious pregnancy glow to hormonal fluctuations, these skin changes can be both exciting and frustrating. In this blog post, we will explore the most common skin changes during pregnancy and provide tips on how to deal with them, helping you embrace your pregnancy glow with confidence.
The Pregnancy Glow: One of the most talked-about skin changes during pregnancy is the coveted pregnancy glow. Due to increased blood flow, hormone levels, and a boost in oil production, many expectant mothers notice a radiant and luminous complexion. To enhance this natural glow, ensure you maintain a healthy skincare routine. Cleanse your face twice a day with a mild, pregnancy-safe cleanser, moisturize regularly, and protect your skin from harmful UV rays with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Remember to drink plenty of water and follow a balanced diet to nourish your skin from within.
Acne Breakouts: While some women experience a clearer complexion during pregnancy, others may face the opposite issue—acne breakouts. Hormonal fluctuations can cause increased oil production, leading to clogged pores and blemishes. To manage pregnancy-related acne, opt for gentle, non-comedogenic skincare products. Avoid harsh chemicals, exfoliants, and retinoids, as they can be harmful to your baby. Consult with your dermatologist or obstetrician for safe topical treatments or consider natural remedies like tea tree oil or witch hazel.
Hyperpigmentation: Another common skin change during pregnancy is hyperpigmentation, often referred to as "the mask of pregnancy" or melasma. Hormonal changes stimulate the production of melanin, leading to dark patches, typically on the face, known as chloasma. Protect yourself from further pigmentation by wearing a broad-brimmed hat and using a sunscreen with a high SPF. Gentle exfoliation, vitamin C serums, and topical creams containing azelaic acid or kojic acid can help reduce pigmentation. If the discoloration persists or bothers you, consult with a dermatologist for additional treatment options.
Stretch Marks: Stretch marks are a natural part of pregnancy and occur due to the stretching and expansion of the skin. While they cannot be entirely prevented, you can minimize their appearance by keeping your skin well-hydrated. Apply a moisturizer or oil rich in vitamin E, cocoa butter, or shea butter to your belly, breasts, and hips. Regularly massaging these areas can improve blood circulation and elasticity, reducing the likelihood of stretch marks. After delivery, consider using over-the-counter creams or consult with a dermatologist for more intensive treatments.
Sensitivity and Itching: Many pregnant women experience heightened skin sensitivity and itching. This can be due to hormonal changes, stretching of the skin, or conditions like pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP). Avoid hot showers, opt for fragrance-free and hypoallergenic skincare products, and wear loose, breathable clothing. Calming remedies such as oatmeal baths, cold compresses, and moisturizers with aloe vera or chamomile can provide relief from itching. If the itchiness becomes severe or persistent, consult your healthcare provider.
Conclusion: Embracing the changes in your skin during pregnancy is an essential part of the journey to motherhood. Remember, each woman's experience is unique, and these skin changes are temporary. By adopting a gentle skincare routine, protecting your skin from the sun, staying hydrated, and seeking advice

A Summer glow with Megan Ewoldson's Skincare Routine!
Meet Megan Ewoldson, an influencer who is passionate about helping people look and feel their best. As a creator of “ME Threads” fitness and athleisure wear, beauty enthusiast, skincare guru and hair stylist extraordinaire she knows how to get you ready for summer with her skincare routine! In this article, we will discuss the benefits of having a skincare routine, explain how to prepare for summer with Megan's skincare routine, share tips and tricks from Megan on skin care for those over 35, showcase advice from Megan on anti-ageing products and treatments as well as reveal clean skincare products recommended by Megan. Finally, we'll outline steps for creating the perfect summer glow with Megan's Skincare Routine!
Megan Ewoldson on the Benefits of Having a Skincare Routine
Having a regular skincare routine can help you achieve glowing, healthy skin. The key to excellent skin is consistency, and establishing a daily routine of cleansing and moisturizing your face can improve both its appearance and texture. Regular use of exfoliating products such as masks and scrubs can help remove dead skin cells, allowing creams and serums to penetrate deeper for more effective results.
Using the right products for your skin type is essential in any skincare routine – if used incorrectly, some products can cause irritation or even damage. Keeping hydrated is also very important, as water helps the body flush out toxins that can accumulate around the epidermis.
In addition to using hydrating and nourishing ingredients, it's beneficial to include antioxidants such as vitamins C and E which help protect the skin from sun damage and free radicals. Sunscreen should also be part of any skincare routine as it helps keep UV rays from damaging the skin further. Using a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 every day will not only keep you looking young but also prevent wrinkles and other signs of ageing like age spots.
Megan Ewoldson’s skincare routine provides all these benefits and more! By combining the best ingredients with tried-and-true techniques, Megan has created a regimen that will leave your complexion smooth, hydrated and luminous this summer season!
How to Prepare for Summer with Megan’s Skincare Routine
Preparing for summer with Megan Ewoldson's Skincare Routine is easy and can help you achieve glowing, healthy skin in no time. First, it’s important to understand your skin type. Knowing whether you have oily, dry, combination or sensitive skin will help you choose the right products to use in your skincare routine.
Once you have identified your skin type, it’s time to start building your routine! Begin by washing your face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type twice daily to remove dirt and impurities. Follow up with an exfoliator once a week - this will slough away dead skin cells and make room for the active ingredients of creams and serums you'll be applying later. For those over 35, Megan recommends looking for anti-ageing products that contain retinol or peptides as they can help reduce wrinkles, boost collagen production and promote healthy cell turnover.
Now that we've tackled cleansing and exfoliating, let's move on to moisturizing! Using a light moisturizer every morning helps protect the skin from dehydration as well as UV damage from the sun. For nighttime, go for a richer cream that deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin while it sleeps. If you're prone to acne breakouts or have more sensitive skin, look for natural ingredients like aloe vera or witch hazel which will help soothe inflammation without irritating.
To get the perfect summer glow, Megan suggests adding lightweight oils into your routine such as jojoba oil or argan oil which can provide extra hydration without clogging pores. Finally, sunscreen is a must! Using an SPF of at least 30 daily not only keeps you looking young but also prevents wrinkles and other signs of ageing like age spots - something we all want to avoid during the summer months when we're out enjoying the sun!
Tips and Tricks from Megan on Skin Care Over 35
1. Combat dehydration by drinking plenty of water and using hydrating products like serums, moisturizers, and face oils.
2. Exfoliate weekly to remove dead skin cells and make space for active ingredients in skincare products to penetrate the skin more effectively.
3. Use anti-ageing skincare products specifically formulated for mature skin that contain ingredients such as retinol or peptides to reduce wrinkles and boost collagen production.
4. Incorporate lightweight oils into your routine, such as jojoba oil or argan oil, which can provide extra hydration without clogging pores.
5. Use sunscreen with a minimum SPF rating of 30 every day to protect your skin from UV damage, wrinkles, and age spots while enjoying the summer sun!
Advice on Anti-Aging Products and Treatments
Anti-ageing products and treatments are essential for achieving a youthful, healthy complexion. Megan Ewoldson recommends incorporating key ingredients such as retinol, peptides, and antioxidants into your skincare routine to reduce wrinkles and boost collagen production. Retinols work by increasing cell turnover while peptides help to stimulate the production of collagen which helps keep skin looking firm and youthful. Antioxidants can also help protect the skin from environmental damage caused by free radicals.
For advanced anti-aging treatments, Megan recommends exploring options like laser resurfacing or microneedling which can help to improve skin tone and texture by targeting sun spots or reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Chemical peels are another great option for those looking to rejuvenate their skin as they exfoliate away dead cells and stimulate collagen production. For those with deeper wrinkles, injectable fillers can be used to plump up the skin and make it look smoother.
It's important to remember that everyone's skin is different so it is important to consult with a dermatologist before undergoing any type of treatment or using any products to ensure you get the best results possible! With the right products and treatments, you can achieve glowing, healthy skin no matter your age!
Clean Skincare Products
Clean skincare has become increasingly popular in recent years as people are looking for natural and non-toxic alternatives to traditional products. Megan Ewoldson recommends using clean products that are free from harsh chemicals, parabens, and synthetic fragrances to keep the skin healthy and balanced.
Clean skincare will often use plant-based ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter, coconut oil, and tea tree oil to nourish and heal the skin while avoiding harsh chemicals. Such ingredients can be found in cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and masks which help to keep the skin hydrated and balanced. Many of these products are also designed with anti-ageing properties in mind so they can help reduce wrinkles and boost collagen production while deeply hydrating the skin at the same time.
For those looking for a natural alternative to chemical exfoliants or scrubs, Megan recommends using an enzymatic exfoliant which uses fruit enzymes like pumpkin or papaya to remove dead skin cells without irritating the skin or stripping it of its natural oils. This type of product is great for those with sensitive skin who want to avoid abrasive scrubbing agents that could cause further irritation.
Another excellent way to keep your skincare routine clean is through supplementing your diet with vitamins and minerals that support healthy skin such as Vitamins A, C & E as well as omega fatty acids found in fish oil and flaxseed oil. Taking these supplements daily helps provide essential nutrients directly into the bloodstream allowing them to reach the deepest layers of the skin where they can do their work!
By combining natural skin care products with healthy lifestyle habits such as eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, drinking lots of water, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, and wearing sunscreen every day – you'll be set up for success when it comes to achieving glowing summer skin all year round!
Steps for Creating the Perfect Summer Glow with Megan's Skincare Routine
1. Start with a clean slate by cleansing your skin with a natural cleanser twice a day. Look for ingredients like aloe vera and tea tree oil that will help to remove any impurities, dirt, and dead skin cells without stripping the skin of its natural oils.
2. Follow up with a toner to balance the skin’s pH level and prep it for moisturizing. Use an alcohol-free toner made with plant extracts like witch hazel or rosehip oil which can help soothe and calm the skin while helping to reduce redness.
3. Moisturize using products formulated with antioxidants, peptides, and retinol to help protect against environmental damage as well as reduce wrinkles and boost collagen production. Choose a lightweight cream or essence that won't weigh down your skin while still providing enough hydration to keep it looking fresh all day long!
4. Supplement your skincare routine by taking vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin A, C & E as well as omega fatty acids found in fish oil or flaxseed oil to provide essential nutrients directly into the bloodstream.
5. Exfoliate once a week using an enzymatic exfoliant instead of traditional scrubs which can irritate sensitive skin or cause further damage if used too frequently. These exfoliants use natural fruit enzymes like pumpkin or papaya to gently remove dead skin cells so you're left with glowing, healthy-looking skin!
6. Don't forget to wear sunscreen every day regardless of whether you plan on spending time outdoors or not since UV rays can penetrate windows and doors! Choose a mineral-based sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum protection from both UVA & UVB rays while also being water resistant for up to 80 minutes when swimming or sweating heavily.
7. Finally, make sure you get plenty of rest, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water, exercise regularly, and practice stress management techniques such as yoga or meditation to maintain overall health which will benefit your skin too! Following these steps should leave you with a beautiful summer glow that lasts year-round!
