THAILAND: POST COLLEGE ADVENTURE 2017

The last time I felt clouds in my presence was in the year 2012, month of December, in which the airplane landed to Hong Kong. The dilemma of life and death in an open space was merely forgotten, where everything you could see was tranquility. I never wanted to stop looking at cottony clouds. They made me feel safe. It was 5 years later when I felt it again.  I remember how it feels to fly without wings, appreciating the beauty of nature beyond what I imagine.

           Thailand was the next stop on my travel bucket list all over Southeast Asia. It was a place that had similar atmosphere with my very own country. EDSA was the first thing that came into my mind when I walked outside the airport. I heard various honking of buses and cars, but in a more disciplined way, I guess. But more than that, I had a view of a new horizon of tradition and culture.

My mom, sister, and aunt had to travel 2 hours away from the airport so we could check in to the hotel where my sister booked through the online. I was assuming somehow it could be near a quiet place, or maybe a road of consecutive coffee shops, but I failed. It was entirely different than what I anticipated. Khao San Road was a place where small bars and party houses were all located. Abstract shirts, different items with elephant designs were displayed along the narrow road of which tourists could experience a good bargain with merchants. I have seen discrete races all over the world who stayed for quite some time in their respective hotels. I could turn my head 360 and whichever direction I bumped into, I could always see unfamiliar but lovely faces.

We met Ms. Nancy, our tour guide for the 1st day. She had a medium short hair, showed a very long glittery eyelashes in her face, and a pale pink lipstick on her mouth. She had a pleasing personality, I could say, or maybe she needed to be because it was part of her job. She was shorter than me, maybe an inch, and was in her typical shirt and pants with Chuck Taylor shoes to stay comfy.

I only had 2 hours to prepare and fix my baggage before I travel with Ms. Nancy. I swiped the card through the doorknob, allowing me to embrace a very relaxing and convenient 1 single room with 2 large soft beds and pillows. I put my sister’s make-up kit in front of the mirror with a hairdryer beside it. My personal hygiene necessities were located just outside our bedroom, in the midpoint of two comfort rooms, so it would be easier to grab just in case we’re in a hurry to take a bath. My aunt placed some leftover biscuits all the way from Philippines next to the huge flat screen TV. My mom being my mom, tried to clean some of her stuff, but there was no enough time left. Angela, my sister, did some of her retouch on her face to make her feel fresh even when she already felt exhausted. We left the room and ate one of the most popular Thai food called, “Pad-Thai” along the road.

The value of respect of Thai people for their King was the very first thing I ever noticed. As I was riding in an outsized van, I spotted some black and white colored curtains hanged outside the gigantic temples of the individual kings who passed away, and for the royals who are still living. Ms. Nancy shared some of her ideas about Thai’s history, telling us that these long curtains represent grief and condolences for the King who died due to his old age. And this will last for a year, until they go back to the feeling of relief.

I went inside historical temples of different images of Buddha, taking pictures for a remembrance to my relatives when I get back home. I tried eating coconut ice cream for P50 baht, which savored my starving throat into something refreshing. Tuk Tuk, a classic Thai vehicle, impressed me with its three wheels, although Ms. Nancy recommended us not to ride on it. Even if I wanted to stay longer in a certain place, we only had limited time to grasp some of the stories that were in there.

Alarm clocks in our own phone woke up us too early. I didn’t have enough sleep. Maybe because of too much excitement, or maybe because of the extreme coldness inside our room. I woke up at 4 in the morning holding my phone, checking some news and updates in the Philippines. It was a never-ending extra judicial killings on my newsfeed, letting me feel the frustration and agitation for my government’s administration. And few days from now, ironically, I would be home in a place where I wouldn’t feel safe. I didn’t want to think about overthinking, so I tried to wake up my mom. I went directly to the bathroom, thinking about the plans and places Ms. Nancy listed for us the day before she left us in the hotel. Everyone else seemed to be freaking out when I finished taking a bath, considering the only time we had to eat for a buffet breakfast. I chose to wear an orange shirt and shorts with floral design, supposing it would match the places we would be visiting.

Just by the time the restaurant open its door, I hurriedly walked into the different kinds of food. I was truly overwhelmed seeing complete set of breakfast that made my stomach perfectly full.  Sausages on my left, croissants and toasted bread on my right, a problem of choosing between fried rice or pasta, and slices of watermelons and pineapples were put into my plate. I wasn’t even contented at all, I made my own coffee to match my croissants, even bother to get cucumber juice just in case coffee wouldn’t give me satisfaction. The question of time never crossed my mind when all these food were prepared in front of me. Although it was a must to rush, a Thai man, who works with Ms. Nancy in the same travel agency, fetched us. It was a group tour, consisted of two couples, one from America, and the other from Malaysia.

The tour started by introducing Mr. Thai’s name. I forgot, though. He considered making jokes out of telling stories, associated with historical Thai’s exotic food too. He is a 55-year old man, who has 3 kids. All I could remember was every time he gets to see me smiling, the memory of his daughter blissfully retains in his mind. He shared about how he got involved into a travel agency, which I think a lot of Thai people are working at. He was not as chatty as Ms. Nancy, nevertheless, he was entertaining. He showed us the famous Floating Market in Thailand, where tourists needed to ride on a boat to purchase some stuff. I have seen amazing paintings in all sizes, carved vases, coconut ice cream with nuts for its toppings, “lansones” which was sold by an 85-year old woman, weaved hats, and a lot more. The biggest Eureka moment was, all I thought Thailand has only one floating market. By the time we had to leave the place, Mr. I forgot-the-name actually revealed that in every town, has its own one. Well, not a thing was bought during the boating experience, all I know was my heart was fulfilled seeing people enjoying moments that could only last once in a life time.

The magical performance in theater happened at night after the tour in Floating Market. We entered a huge closed room with people wanting to witness such beauty in arts and entertainment.    Siam Niramit, is a state-of-the art theater yielding one of the largest stage productions in the world. It’s a captivating adventure through Thailand’s history and culture in high-flying fashion, with live elephants, acrobatics, pyrotechnics and stunts – all performed by a troupe made up of thousands  of performers adorned in great costumes. I would never forget my mom’s unexplainable reaction and experience throughout the entire show. She wanted to cry out of joy most of the time. It’s as if she didn’t want to go home in the hotel. I never saw rejection from her face, telling me that next time she comes back, it would be with my dad. We captured moments with several actors and actresses after, leaving us a souvenir with elephants, making this as her favorite art of the travel.

Off my bucket list was also riding an elephant. One of the many animals I have always wanted to experience, carabao was supposed to be the first. I think elephants were made to listen closely to everything, to everyone. They were made to be friends with people most especially when you treat them with care and respect. They love watermelons and coconuts. They like being splashed with water after taking us into a routine. They were also trained to take pictures with various poses of their trunks, and that’s how they get to be attractive for locals and foreigners.

The famous Thai massage will never be forgotten. So my brother’s friend who happens to work in Bangkok accompanied us after a very long day in market. This has got to be the most effective massage in my whole life. At first I thought it was brutal, since it was my first time the legit Thai massage. I was taking it easy for the first few minutes but later on, it kinda felt horrible. In a matter of seconds, the compress became weapon and I was literally cringing under the pressure. I actually found myself concentrating on regulating my breathing. The way they provide Thai massages are with entire body. They leverage their own body weight with certain movements in order to provide enough pressure to the body. I did fall asleep several times but still ended with a very soothing cup of tea.

Of course, our vacation wouldn’t be complete without the “party.” Prior to shopping in Chatuchak Market, my sister and I had been planning to socialize with people. We were really after drinks and fries, although it wasn’t our first time doing this, we wanted to make sure to at least meet good-looking guys from Europe. Our mom was subtle with her words but still she allowed us to explore. By the time we went down from our room, that’s when the party started. I thought we were courageous enough to do things beyond our control, but surprisingly, we were like high school students who just stayed in a corner of the street to observe how a street party works. There were people who literally danced as if it was their last day on earth, girls and guys French kissing each other while tossing their drinks, Asians and Americans twerking as if they’re showing off to every person they’d bump into. There was also robbery that happened in 7 Eleven Convenience store, unknowingly grabbing sodas and fresh milk from the fridge, to ease their drunkenness. After all, I saw emptiness. I felt emptiness. The superficiality of society where people wants to fit in to get accepted because after all, no one wants rejection. The façade of being proud “in” but in reality, they’re slowly dying. And for me, street party seemed to be an outlet of frustration, sadness, anxiety, and depression. People always long for something in the end.  But life should be more than a night of drinks and smoke. It should be more than meeting temporary people.

Four days and three nights was a short term goal achieved in knowing and living the life in Thailand. More insights were added to my unending learnings in life. It was more than the feeling of being grateful of what the life has more to offer for people like us who seek for journey mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Life is really full of surprises and adventures and I couldn’t wait for my next destination. Until next time, Thailand!

J1 Visa: Process, Tips, and more!

What is J1 Visa? A cultural exchange  visa that will let you work and travel in the USA. There are actually 3 programs for J1 visa:

Summer Work & Travel: you can work up to 3 months, you can also apply for a second job. This is perfect for people who are still in school.

Internship: 12 to 18 months, and you are not allowed to find a second job. Internship are for people that recently graduated.

Traineeship: same as the Internship program. The main difference is you must at least have a one year work experience in your home country.

I participated in the Work & Travel program and was assigned in Baltimore, Maryland as a Club Associate. Then I decided to apply for the Traineeship program, and was lucky enough to work in JW Marriott located in Phoenix, Arizona. So if you’re curious, here it goes.

You have to find an agency to help you process and find employer, prices vary on the program and agency. So research research research. Joining this program is costly, but totally worth it. My agency for my WAT was First Place Inc., and for my Traineeship was United Towers Philippines. Some agency will require a bond to make sure that you’ll return to your home country after your program ends. Things to consider in making sure the agency is legit; read reviews, don’t just apply to an agency because they’re the cheapest. Applying in an agency that has good records will help you toget higher chance of being approved for J1 visa.

Process your papers. Agency will walk you through about everything. You have to pay for non-refundable processing fee. Most payments should be in US dollars, so be ready. They will require you to send them your resume, passport, school records, and even documents that will prove your financial stability.

When you already processed all your documents, you have to wait for job openings. Hiring is usually before summer or before winter, which is peak season. Even if you paid a lot of money, it is not guaranteed that you’ll get a job on your first interview. So when you have the opportunity, give your best shot or you have to wait for another job opening. Waiting for company might take 6-8 months.

If you finally got accepted by a US host company, you have to process the remaining documents that is needed by the company or the agency, pay the remaining balance, schedule embassy interview, etc.

During your visa interview, make sure to arrive extra early even if you are scheduled to a specific time. Dress appropriately, some agency will require you to wear your school uniform or maybe corporate attire. But skip your high heels, you’ll be standing on line for quiet a while.

Review the information you provided in your DS2019, the consul will normally ask you for details that you already provided. So be honest and be confident! You also have to ensure the consul that you’ll be returning in your home country; may it be you still have to finish school, you are managing a business, or just anything that will prove your ties in your home country.

If the consul gave back your passport, that means you didn’t pass the interview and you have to pay and reschedule for another interview. If they did not return it, well congratulations! You can now purchase your flight ticket to the USA!

Now its time for packing, here are some tips:

Double check with your airlines how much weight you can check in. For international flights, it’s normally 2 luggage with 25kg each. Plus a carry-on, and personal bag.

If you’re staying either for 3 months or 18 months, I do not suggest bringing your closet! Bring important stuff like coats if you’ll be staying in a freezing state or summer clothes if you’ll be staying in a warm state. So be knowledgeable about the state that you’ll be staying in. Plus, you can buy clothes anyways once you arrived to your destination. 

Always have a copy of your important documents like passports, SS number, DS2019, contracts, insurance, etc. on each bag. For example, you have a total of 4 bags; you have to have an original copies on your personal bag, plus 3 photocopies for your 2 luggage and 1 carry-on. Just in case you lose a bag, you’ll have a copy of your important documents no matter what!

Bring enough cash with you, at least $1,200. This will serve as your allowance while you wait for your salary, to buy groceries, or pay for your transportation once you arrive in the US.

5 Must-Try Food Places in Taipei

Some proficiency in Chinese may be required, but let me help you with that.

Most of you know that I visit Taiwan at least twice a year because my family lives there. My friends always ask me what to do, where to go, and what to eat. I share with them this jaw-droppingly, beautiful itinerary guide that still secretly makes me want to quit public health and just put up a travel agency (The rave reviews are from my friends, not mine).

I think of Taiwan as the affordable Japan. Its proximity to the Philippines means that flights are cheaper. Food is insanely affordable here, even though overall standard of living has increased over the past few years. Interesting fact: it was also colonized by Japan in 1895 up until the end of the Second World War.

Because of the recent relaxation of visa rules for Filipinos, more Filipino tourists have been visiting Taiwan, including my friends. So instead of having to repeat myself again and again and again, I will be writing about my top recommendations for Taiwan. Think of#TheKrisList, but with more substance.

I will begin this week with food, because if there is one thing that you should do in Taiwan, it is to eat your heart out. If you want the best Chinese food experience, then Taiwan is the place to be (and trust me, there won’t be any mystery meat). I will exclude the night markets in this post, as I believe it deserves an entirely separate entry. Also, ote that this list is limited to Taipei.

1. Have a traditional Chinese breakfast at Fu Hang Dou Jiang (阜杭豆漿)

While walking distance from Taipei Main Station, it is on the second floor of an inconspicuous building, so you will only find it when you are looking for it. Your landmark is a long line that bleeds through the street. The line moves fast, so know what to order.

When in doubt, just point to the food on display.

Unfortunately, the menu is in Chinese, but the only thing worth trying is the soy milk, or dou jiang (pronounced toe-tsiang) (豆漿). Order hot if you want it like a soup, and cold if you want it like a drink. If you were not a fan of soy milk before, you will be once you try theirs. Pair it up with the fried dough, or youtiao (油条).

2. Have beef noodle soup at Taoyuan Street Beef Noodle (桃源街牛肉麵)

You can also walk to this from Taipei Main Station, but it’s nearer to Ximen Station (Blue/Green MRT line). The beef noodle is NTD 180 (around PHP 300). This place is also in the second floor of a pretty inconspicuous building, so you might not find it immediately. The menu is also in Chinese, but last time I was there, there was at least one server who could understand some English. If you make hand gestures of a big bowl, they will probably understand it as you wanting their beef noodle soup. They will also ask for the spice or la (辣) level, so just say yi dian dian (pronounced ee tien tien) (一點點) if you do not want to blow your ears off. Or just make that gesture with your index finger and thumb.

Alternative: In case you cannot find that place, the one across is more accessible and also very tasty: 老王記桃源街牛肉麵 (there is no English translation, unfortunately). You will recognize it by the long line outside the restaurant in a hidden alley. The line moves fast, and don’t be alarmed if there are strangers suddenly seated beside you if your table is not full. Fast-paced Asian restaurants maximize space and time, so once you are done eating, pay. Photo taking is also not allowed there. Don’t try because my friends and I did and we were reprimanded immediately by a shouting Chinese uncle.

3. Treat yo self at the “birthplace” of boba / milk tea, Chun Shui Tang (春水堂)

They have a ton of branches all over Taiwan, the original being in Taichung City in central Taiwan, but an accessible branch that they have is the one in Hsin Yi Mitsukoshi Mall. Imagine Chun Shui Tang in the same market segment as Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐), which has since expanded to Asia and America. 

For me, Din Tai Fung tastes the same everywhere, so if you already have had it in the Philippines, don’t bother going there and instead try this. The dimsum here is pretty good too, and definitely buy any of their boba / milk tea. Their menu is also available in English and they accept credit cards here.

Side note: boba / milk tea is everywhere (I cannot stress this enough). My personal favorite brand is 50 lan (50嵐) but there’s also Coco and Chatime if you want more familiar international brands. When ordering, they always ask for the sweetness and ice levels. I recommend a 50% sweetness level or ban tang (pronounced pan thang) (半糖), and less ice or shao bing (pronounced shao ping) (少冰).

4. Have the best hotpot experience at Mala Yuanyang Hotpot (馬辣頂級麻辣鴛鴦火鍋)

They have a ton of branches all over Taipei, but note that not every branch is the same. The best one is in Ximen District. If you can speak Chinese, it is best to call them for a reservation beforehand. This branch has unlimited booze, Movenpick and Haagen Dazs on top of the unlimited everything else - all for the amazingly low, low price of NTD699 (around PHP1200).

5. Have a do-it-yourself legitimate tea ceremony at Yao Yue Tea Restaurant (邀月茶坊)

This requires a bit of travelling up the mountains of Taipei, at Maokong village. Maokong has one of the biggest tea plantations in Taiwan. The air is not only fresh here, but it also smells like tea because of the tea leaves being planted on the side of the road and walking trails.

You take the Maokong Gondola (pro tip: get the crystal cable car, or the one with glass floors) from Taipei Zoo station (end of the Brown MRT line) up to Maokong (NTD120 one way) and you will be greeted by small night market.

Make your way down the trail and you will see many tea houses. Do not be tempted by any of them and walk down for 20 to 25 minutes. At one point, you might be asking yourself or your companions, “Are we there yet?” but trust me it is worth it.

The tea house is open 24/7 (awesome, right?!). You buy the entire tea packet (ranges from NTD300-400) and each person is charged a water fee (at dinnertime, this is NTD90 or around PHP150 per person). They give you a tea set and instructions (there’s an English version) how to make your own tea. Recommended teas: Tieguanyin (鐵觀音) and Paozhong (文山包種). You can stay there as long as you want and enjoy the view of the mountainside. Another pro tip: Watch the sunset from here - it’s breathtaking.

Finally, some pro tips on ordering at restaurants:

Most restaurants only accept cash, so make sure you have enough.

Most restaurants give you a piece of paper where you check the items you want to order, and usually you either pay before eating or after.

Tipping is not customary, and restaurants usually outright refuse the tip.

In fast food chains and some restaurants, it’s clean as you go.

Water may not be available in many restaurants, but sweet or cold tea is available.

Chopsticks and soup spoons are usually the only utensils available, so learn how to use them before coming to Taiwan

Most people do not understand English but they are used to tourists so they will be able to speak some English words.

You will not regret trying any of these places. If you can try all five, then you will definitely make your Instagram followers drool over jealousy.

Haller, Baler!

Just like Ylona Garcia and Bailey May’s song O Pag-Ibig, the place I went recently makes me wanna sing “Nakakakaba, nakakaaliw, nakakakilig, nakakabaliw,” too. Why? Kasi naBaler-Baler (replaced Filipinos expression: baliw baliw) talaga ako during that weekend in Baler! Good thing, I was with my forever. Yieeee, landerzxs. But it was not just the two of us alone, sana nga eh ‘di ba. Hahahahaha! With Riczel and her sister (bcos Dada’s friend was not able to come ugh), we went there together. Grr-er-errr 😂💖

Before anything else~

Going to Baler takes a looong ride! I mean it. The travel from and to the place can last from five or six (to seven) hours, depending on your car’s speed. So then, you might wanna prepare a chill playlist you can listen to while on the way or just catch some sleep during this trip, play some games along the way, or whatever that can make you comfortable. Hindi mo naman kasi namamalayan yung oras pag masaya ka... Speaking of! You might want to stop by here in the Old Balete and Mother Falls for a little adventure before going to Baler.

Old Balete Tree Said as the biggest Balete tree in Asia, this became a tourist spot for people going to Quezon Province. This is our side trip since this is not really located in Baler. But hey, it is a good way to start the trip! There is no entrance fee. Unless, you wanna go inside and have a little peak of what it looks like inside. It costs 20PHP per person. It is a nice experience so why not give it a try? Give him, este this, a chance. :)

Dimatubo Falls Another side trip you can visit before going to Baler can be trekking at Dimatubo Falls, also known as, “Mother Falls.” Similar to what the other bloggers said, this reminds me of Temple Run. But hey, it does not mean you should run! It just looks like the game is patterned in this paradise. Haha! You actually should be cautious because it is slippery especially when it is raining. It is a 30-minute to an hour trek all in all; trek + the crossing from low-risen rivers or sapa. Well, I can say it is worth the climb so go and try it too! Note that the water from the falls is freezing. Kasing lamig ng ex mo, ganern. Cos srsly? Not. Kidding. :D

Town proper The center, mostly known as bayan, has some spots you have to go to! Visit the Baler Church with San Luis Obispo de Tolosa as its real name and pray even for just a minute. Love the wall of the door and altar! While close to it was Bahay ni Quezon. Yup, Manuel Luis Quezon, the first Commonwealth president of the Philippines. Also enjoy the Museo de Baler as you commemorate the past with the artifacts and memorabilia that showcase the culture and history of the place. Do not forget to take a picture with the I heart Baler too! Kasi sa buhay, you gotta make unforgettable memories nga ‘di ba. Kaya nga di mo siya makali-kalimutan. Boom, sorry! :))

Ermita Hill Climb up to see the spectacular view of Baler in this hill! It is said to be the most excellent place to see the bay because it overlooks the entire land. Since it is a hill, it is just a short trek. They have a shrine called Tromba Marina at the foot of the hill too. This is a symbol offering the memories of the families who climbed the hill, the reason why they survived the catastrophic tsunami that happened during 1735. They also have parks (yup, plural; I just can’t elaborate because we were not able to go around fully) so you can roam around, have a picnic, and just have a good time. Good time for real ha? Di yung lokohan. Please lang. =))

Daguisit Beach and Rock Formation This is the second rock formation I saw in my life. To be honest, I cannot say anything more. The beach and the rocks complement each other so perfectly and it is just so beautiful! I am having this thing with rock formations already. Omo omo omo! Hearteu times 100! Kasi maaring maalala mo siya dito (cos I did). I looked at this place the way I looked at him. Chaaaaaaaaaaar! :D

Baler Hanging Bridge I was excited to see this long hanging bridge. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to cross because it is under construction. Actually, you could, but at your own risk. See that picture out there? I was so nervous but I gotta smile for picture purposes. Hahaha! The funny (no it is not) thing about this photo was that a local kid crossed the bridge while I was taking a snap. And guess what, she was running! Imagine how shaky the bridge was? Asdfghjkl! Pero yun nga kasi eh? Nasa'yo naman yung desisyon kung susugal ka kahit wala kang panghahawakan. Nakadepende nalang sa'yo kung susubukan mo o hindi nalang. Basta wag iiyak pag ikaw ay nahulog at masaktan. Hindi ako nagkulang sa paalala. Uhm, luh? Hahaha! :p

Sabang Beach The reason why we came to Baler? To intense the summer heat by surfing at Sabang Beach! Heehee. This is my favorite part of the trip because I felt like Moana. Aba, I was able to stand after the second try lang naman. And on the third, I was able to reach the shoreline. Grabe, basic. Hahahahaha! Enjoyed this so much! My 350 pesos was paid off. And if you are asking where that fee went, it was for the one-hour surfing lesson and surf equipment rental. Yup, I had a friendly surf instructor who taught me how to surf! It is so affordable if you compare in other countries so I hope you do not haggle. Remember, it is only during summer season where they have profit like this. Think of your kakabayans too and not just yourself, can you? Oh my, my aktibista self! Sorry not sorry. Haha! Besides, Baler is known to be the birthplace of surfing in the Philippines and a trip in Baler is not complete without it. Oo, oo, tulad nung ikaw at siya. Huehue. This is indeed a good time to leave that fear you have inside and ride the big waves! Ikaw nga eh, kahit takot ka mahalin siya, ginawa mo pa rin eh. I am sure you will love it -- the surfing and the beach, just like how you love him/her, I promise! Happy surfing! 💖

My group just had an overnight stay in Baler so we were not able to try all the food hubs. But, for breakfast, I recommend the eateries around. Almost all of them tastes nice. It is also a great chance to talk with the locals. Like what we did, you can have your buffet lunch at Chef Gerry’s Picnic Bay to bring in many energy for the body, and of course, the day. Dinner at Kusina Luntian will be the best too! Actually, this is a restaurant you might want to consider when you go to Baler. The price is just right and the food tastes so good! You can visit them any time of the day as they cater foods you can eat whether it is a meal or a snack. :)

Clique clique~

This Baler weekend trip we had was made possible by Clique Travel and Tours. Since getaways are on peak, I understand they have many clients to accommodate to. But if I were to rate, it will be 1 out of 5. Should I tell the whole story? Well, okay. It is indeed cheap compared to other travel agencies. Our lodging exceeded my expectations. Even their proposed itinerary is good too! But hey, it is time-pressured and not all places were visited. Why? Because of the late driver. How unprofessional, right? Nahuli ka nang gising, nakaayos na kami at lahat wala pa rin tapos pagdating, aapurahin kami magspend dun sa tourist spots? And to mention, kaskaserong driver, may pagkabastos pa. It was said in the contract to tell the driver if his speed seems fast. When we said that, our driver replied that there is nothing wrong with his driving. Seriously??? Like l u h? It is a zigzag road from and to Baler, to tell you. And they (’cause they are driving via groups with walkie-talkie thingy as their radio) kept on counterflowing with almost 160 kph. I know, I know, thank God we got home safe. We actually overheard that the agency just rented these vans. But still, Clique should have checked whether their partners are fit and appropriate for the job. The management itself is a fail on this trip. My group thinks that. We felt like it is just the money they care. What about your customers’ welfare? Psh. This is not my first time to have a joined travel tours, I tried others and they were nice! That is why I am disappointed on this. Sorry Clique, I guess my clique and I do not click on you. Will never avail again but still, thank you. Di na kita babalikan kasi alam kong may mas better naman diyang iba, *hanggang dito, hugot pa ih*
