Chibi Scale: 5/5 – if you are looking for an adorable omega and alpha pair, you’ve just found it! Both Wooyoung and Kyungju are so adorable. They compliment each other and make sure an amazing pair.

But it makes sense Dane is the dominant omega like keith's omega dad and grayson's omega dad, connor.

grayson needs someone like dane, that’s all I’ll say. He is totally in love with him. he even goes to save his cat.

how to say this, the novels, kiss me liar and connected series have a lot of forced hetero, like really lot of it which is extremely off putting and irritating. But somehow it still makes you want to read them. you just need to learn to ignore it like the absurd alpha/omega dynamics.

skip the parts which you don't like because at least happy ending is guaranteed for the main, MM couple.

I look forward to comic adaptation of grayson and chase's parents and keith's dads novel, his omega dad has five alphas. that'd be an interesting read, especially from what is shown of him till now.

Also read Chase and Josh's novel after reading their manhwa but how do I say this, Josh was good, better in kiss me liar. he seems, i dunno, kind of not very likeable in the novel, him repeating his past girlfriends again and again was quite unnecessary and obnoxious.

Chase on the other hand is just so so good. He deserves to be happy and safe. he might be the only one who isnt a slut horny alpha like others in this universe.

Usually, it's the alphas/dom guys who need to apologise/are weirdos but i think this author has a knack for making even the bottoms/omegas as irritating and not very likeable. and you still want the alpha/omega together.

there is too much forced het , unnecessary scenes with females. but the slash/gay erotic scenes are good so ignore the bad. I guess.

it's infuriating, not going to lie. being homophobic in omegaverse is certainly something. you see it a lot nowadays in mangas and fanfic, upping the het even in alpha/omega stories is so absurd and foul. its gay/slash erotica sub genre, thats not gonna change. females are not omegas.

And the last scene with that beck girl. ugh. gross, maybe not try to shove your chest on the man who is ignoring you, try to touch his hand then get offended when he screams and insults you becky.

what a shitty girl. dunno where vile people like them get the audacity to even talk. it's good she was insulted, people like her deserve nothing else. rot in prison now murdering creep.

Chase is such a good, pure, kind person. he doesnt deserve to feel so horrible about himself. reading again and again that he wishes to die was just so sad and heartbreaking.

if you read about grayson's family, his grand parents were a mess, his omega grandfather more so, he hurt Dominic too much who genuinely fell in love with him. then dominic turned into a complete mad man, a true deranged alpha if you will. story is just, sad i guess. they do love, but its just sad. would love to read manhwa adaptation of them.

Then Chase's parents. Again, they are good, their love is true but still sadness is there, the alpha literally damaged himself. they have their HEA which is lovely but their kids are a mess. Ashley didnt leave Connor alone with them after what Grayson did.

Grayson though, his novel makes you want to cheer for him to be happy with Dane, thats all i say. It's shocking that one can feel that after everything he did. hopefully, now there will be scenes of him and dane/dein, i am hoping the forced het is gone for good. i cant wait to read about grayson and dane's kids. since he is actually listening to dane, i doubt they'd repeat grayson's parents and grandparents mistakes.

Tropes: Childhood to enemies to lovers, secret crush, tsundere (times 2!)

Fun enemies (sort of)-to-lovers romance between the star ace pitcher of the baseball team and his seemingly annoying team mascot, whom he discovers to be way more than meets the eye. This is a fun, lighthearted read; and I always enjoy when sports manhwas dedicate time to draw and explain the technical aspects of the sport - it's just good world-building. I think that tsundere characters are difficult to write because you run the risk of overselling the hostility and animosity leading to the subsequent romance being unrealistic. Having said that, the tsundere plot-line here was very well-written. You can tell right from the start that they had a silent attraction towards each other and there is a softness to their interactions together, and so you can't help but root for them. My main gripe is that the season 2 translations were not the best, the story and plot was rather predictable and the ending was rushed with no side stories. Still it was an enjoyable read even the second time round.

Unromantic Romance

Tropes: alpha-omega, tsundere, golden-retriever type, grumpy-sunshine

Romance story between an alpha golden-retriever type university student and the omega CEO heir to one of the biggest companies in the country. All set in a parallel universe where alphas are second-class and omegas are strong, powerful and run the world. The best part about this story is the shift in the alpha-omega dynamics. Instead of the powerful tsundere alpha that you would typically get in such stories, you now have a powerful tsundere omega and the wide-eyed golden-retriever student chasing after him is now an alpha. This change felt refreshing and new and so the relationship between the characters felt all the more interesting. The characters are well-developed and charming so you really want to root for them. The tsundere powerful omega was written well. However, apart from the flip in the script, I felt that the rest of the plot was quite predictable and over-done (I feel like I have read many manhwas with similar storylines). The climax felt long and drawn-out and I found myself skimming through to get to the resolution. The art style is not something I prefer although I guess that depends on your taste. Overall it was a nice, fluffy read with an interesting premise but nothing else really stood out.

Third Ending

Tropes: Childhood love, unrequited love, chasing arc

A seemingly perfect guy living his perfect life, is suddenly forced to face the one jinx from his past, which developed into a lot more than he expected. This manhwa truly gives me mixed feelings. On one hand, I absolutely adore it. I love the characters, they’re funny and very lovable. The plot is cute, the climax was quite well-written with a satisfying chasing arc. And the art is completely breath-taking (as exemplified in the snowy picture above which is one of my favourite scenes of all time). It is a simple, feel-good, fluffy read that I can always go back to. But, that’s really all there is to it, which is also why I struggle to rank this any higher. While the characters are very lovable, they are also one-dimensional. There’s not much complexity or layers to them. Their backstories are cute but again, doesn’t add much to building their personalities. The relationship between the 2 characters had so much potential to be interesting because there were major flaws that led to significant conflicts. It was finally a glimpse into the imperfections of the characters. But then, I felt that this was not explored enough, superficial at best, and the conflicts resolved rather quickly as well. Side characters were fun but didn’t add to the story or world-building. There really is much to be desired, but I do still love this manhwa and how it never fails to make me smile whenever I read it.

The anime was chef's kiss. It literally made the butterflies in my stomach go wild askdkgkfja But I honestly have to say that Jaeyoung & Sangwoo in the manhwa are much more of a snack. The producers seem to have hired a different artist for the anime version so the art style is different but the voice actors are such a big YES. ✨

I tried reading Love is an Illusion and I hated it.

Yet another manhwa where the main characters are mean, selfish douchebags who only seem to care about money and one's position in the social latter. Yet another manhwa where Omegas are seen as the worse, with a shit ton of very uncomfortable non-con stuff (from both ends not just the Alphas' doing) and victim blaming.

Dissapointing and unbearable. How is that supposed to be romantic? How am I supposed to care about anything that happens to these jerks? Appalling. It's just a repeat from the atrocity that was How to Chase an Alpha.

Will I ever be able to find a good omegaverse manhwa?
