Hey, I know you have a nsfw twitter and submitted a follow request. Do you check the bdays posted on the account or just look for a number in the bio?

howdy, I check both. But I also turned down some follow requests based on other things. I'm quite careful about who I share my nsfw with. Its only until yesterday that I even opted to make a nsfw twitter considering that I spent the last 5ish years keeping it entirely to myself and close friends as well as occasionally dropping it into group discords trying to find a place for me. I plan to vet every twitter who submits a follow request and I'll deny anyone who gives me off vibes. If I turned you down thats probably why.

I'm also 31 so I turned away some people who were under 20 because it gives me a bit of the ick to be showing my personal drawings to people who are barely out of their teens. (though I did let some 19 yr olds in cause based on their twitters they were already into things way worse than anything I could possibly make)

Listen, I’m not here to assume that the Seven MV took some inspiration from Jikook’s relationship, especially for one, Jungkook didn’t even write the song. For sure, he’s had more input in the MV making but I still don’t want to liken it to Jikook in any way because Seven Jungkook is just one big simp and Seven Sohee is very stubborn and dismissive right until the last bit.

It’s comical and funny if we don’t deep it! But I don’t want to feed into the toxic Jungkook simp agenda that runs around shipping circles. It just sucks that he’s always the ultimate simp, regardless of who he’s shipped with, and the simping is often imbalanced.

Now that that’s out of the way, I really just wanna let out a laugh at how Jungkook’s live birthed a new genre of Jikook tweets in relation to this.

We know what this is reminiscent of (cue in: Weight of the world on your shoulders—), but I can’t even perceive these takes negatively because these are actually based on True Events SO maaaaybe we can limit the Jungkook simp culture to…getting Jimin to do a live? 😭

Now, Jimin isn’t exactly Seven Sohee. He’s just…a different kind of evil. Libra evil? Because why the heck would you respond to your little bro (asking fans if they can handle him coming out from under the blanket) by commenting, “In my case, I can handle it.”????

It doesn’t help at all that Jungkook visibly melts and downright agrees.

And then, like clockwork, Jungkook starts convincing Jimin to come and do a live. And the King of Babygirlism has the audacity to respond with “Seems like you’re gonna hit me!” How in the world am I to read that it a non-flirty tone?

Jungkook’s convincing persists and it’s not a one time thing. When translations were coming in, I really thought he only says it once, but no. He repeats it multiple times throughout the entire live. Seven MV levels of persistence.

Somewhere along the way, Jungkook even leverages on ARMYs, which is really smart and sneaky. Use ARMYs as bait to lure the ARMY-pleaser. You know how public proposals bring about this social pressure to say yes to the proposer? Yeah, Jungkook’s the only public proposer I’d forgive, probably.

Can you imagine him doing this to his other hyungs? I truly can’t, not in a million years.

And then, amidst the giggly persuading, Jimin in Seven Sohee-coded fashion says, “I’m not that easy.” which, of COURSE, gets deleted by God (because we’ll never truly know who deleted it, right?)

How am I supposed to take this, really?

Somewhere along the way, there’s also a mention of a picture being sent. And honestly, it’s not the selca sending that gets to me—I already think that they’re a couple so naturally, for me, they’d have hundreds of bed selcas of each other. It’s the fact that Jimin commented it on a live. That, and the 2 o’clock thing, which has multiple translations but implies something fruity either way.

And it’s all capped off with Jungkook ~coincidentally~ flexing his arm right after he says goodbye to Jimin. I genuinely found it so endearingly funny because it was just sooo random. What are you doing, you little peacock? 😭

And while that might be enough to convince Jimin to come, it’s definitely not enough for a live. That one’s gonna take a lot more prodding.

Because we know Jimin’s the kind to want to feel in control of the situation, especially in a live, real-time setup. Going live at Hybe instead of at home, doing scheduled lives instead of spontaneous. A new live with Jungkook—after having THAT jikook birthday live, that vminhopekook live in October and the recent idgaf lives that Jungkook has done—is not the kind that Jimin can control and he knows that.

So Jungkook might just have to do something more elaborate than a fake funeral to get Jimin to say yes, because Jimin is not that easy!

I need to get this off my chest.

I’ve been vocal about the IDW/Ian Flynn haters in the past. In fact, they’re the entire reason why I mostly left this platform. But it never ends. Whether it’s on tumblr or twitter or even in twitch chats, it never ends!

Don’t you get tired? Just go somewhere else? Just ignore the comics. The argument always comes up of “We can’t ignore it, they’ll ruining Sonic.” You can. You absolutely can!

I very much hate the Animal Crossing series now despite having liked it in the past. You don’t see me constantly writing essays about how bad it is. You don’t see me hating on every bit of news that comes out with it.

Comic books are a monthly narrative. They’re a medium very different from video games. I understand that people want Sonic to be a particular way. I do too, if I’m being honest. But I’m also aware that it’s a different interpretation as has been Archie Sonic, Movie Sonic, Fleetway Sonic, X Sonic, Underground Sonic, and so on. Sonic always changes based on the medium and interpretation. Heck, he changes between games. Sonic being “chatty” in the comics is a different interpretation and part of the entire medium of comic books. It’s how reading works.

I’m not going to claim that IDW or Ian Flynn are perfect. Is Sonic too morally righteous in the comics? Yes. Is Shadow written as an edgelord and against his growth from the game canon? Yes. Does Eggman lacking any back-up plans seem idiotic? Yes. Have the stories gotten a bit too repetitive with them constantly going to the Eggperial City? Yes. Is this something worth exploding over every month? NO!

All media is going to have things that aren’t perfect. You’re allowed to dislike it, but where is the line drawn in how much you need to vent about it?

The reason I want to write this post is how the “opinions” against the comics and Flynn have gotten to this unavoidable, venomous point. I’ve seen haters say how they’re excited to see the IDW sales fall so the comics eventually get canceled. How they want to take this particular faction of the Sonic fandom and dissolve it. I ask this genuinely: What is wrong with you!? Just because you dislike a particular part of a series means you want it destroyed even for those who enjoy it? Grow up. It’s selfish, mean, and just not what fandom is supposed to be about. The insults, the name-calling, the mob mentality, and everything coming out of this negative side of the fandom is really, really gross.

I’ve seen many haters always say that there are IDW-lovers who have also bullied, name-called, and even sent death threats. Now, I have never seen these myself besides retaliating against the haters who go too far. But I have never ever seen death threats over this (it could have been to previous writers and I may be mistaken). Now, I am stating it right here that just because I didn’t see these posts doesn’t mean they don’t exist. If they do, I obviously do not condone that behavior. It is awful! But I also see the haters bringing up these examples to justify any action they take. I’ve lost track of how many times it’s been brought up. First off, you know (if the posts do exist) that it’s a couple of bad apples amongst plenty of normal fans. But it’s brought up so often that I wonder... is it still a legitimate justification for how you’re acting? Even if it was one bad post, how much mileage can you get out of that? Does it still legitimize how you’ve been currently talking about others? Does it make your bullying fair? Your words do hurt and they do get to the ears of those you’re talking about.

And about Ian Flynn. You all need to stop. No, Ian Flynn is not perfect. No, I don’t think his Bumblekast things help a lot; in fact, it muddies a lot of the waters. But it’s a stupid podcast on the side... just ignore it. You do that with what’s actually written in the comic already. However you feel about him, Ian Flynn has contributed a lot to Sonic through Archie, IDW, and the games.

But there’s such a hatred for anything Ian Flynn puts his name on. I have a former friend who hated Sonic Frontiers before it came out simply because Ian Flynn was attached to it. The moment they heard he was the head writer, they wrote the game off. I am 100% sure that no matter how Frontiers or the story within it turned out, they would have disliked it. Just because Ian Flynn was in the end credits. The insults thrown at Ian Flynn, the artists, and writers of the IDW comics are inexcusable. If he has two characters even share a panel, you call it shipbaiting. If two female characters have a fight, you claim it’s written by a sexist man. If a villain is killed off-screen or turns out to be alive, you complain. This last point is exactly how a monthly, serialized story works. I don’t know if you’re unfamiliar with comic books outside of Sonic, but this is how the medium just is. Said villain gets killed and you shout foul about how the one “queer” character was killed. How the writers are homophobic for “leading readers on” and then killing him. There have been racists posts about the fandom praising Flynn over Japanese writers. You make posts ranting and raving how Nite and Don being a gay couple is bad because they’re “nothing characters” and then you post about how Don abandoned Nite... despite the fact that literally ONE PAGE LATER, he comes back to essentially die with his boyfriend.

It makes me wonder if the haters actually READ the comics or if they scan, decide they don’t like something, and then get angry. Sonic is a comic series under mandates and rules, especially after everything that went down with Archie. No, I’m not saying these mandates are excuses for poor characterization or writing, but it does somewhat explain why certain characters are handled in certain ways. The IDW comic writers are people with the freedom to take the characters in certain directions. That’s all. They’re creators working hard.

The defenses you all set up to lean back on Pontac and Graff is also bewildering. Now, if you love the ��Meta Era” of games then that’s totally fine. I honestly don’t care which games you like. But retroactively praising the writing of games like Sonic Lost World and Sonic Forces is odd. Yes, Pontac and Graff are human beings and don’t deserve the massive hate and mistreatment they’ve been dealt. But their work is rightfully criticized. We went through over a decade of poor writing and canon being completely screwed up. But some of you will defend them because Eggman said he’d strangle a zeti or that the way he said the sun would crush the heroes justified so much in Forces. Why are you willing to die on this hill? For four games? For four games that have objectively more lighthearted and cookie cutter plots?

I’m not perfect in this. For a while, when Sonic Forces came out. I would make post after post about it. After a couple of months, I realized that I simply hated the game and I was harming the experience of people who liked it. I made an apology and I stopped. I still hate Sonic Forces. It’s still my most hated Sonic game, but you don’t see me reacting to the Infinite mini figure getting announced by making weeks of posts saying how badly he was written.

Just get over it. Move on. Stop hating on the aspects of a thing you’re supposed to be a fan of. Aren’t you miserable? Sonic the Hedgehog has been such a positive influence on my life. Sonic has inspired me, gotten me through bad times, and has introduced me to some of the best people I have ever met.

Why stick around and constantly surround yourself with such negativity? Again, I don’t hang around Animal Crossing things anymore and I’m personally better off for it. You’re in a fandom, but are you even fans anymore? You’ll hate everything that comes out simply because a particular writer is attached or because you’ve decided the comics have betrayed your headcanons. It’s gotten to the point where the IDW Haters really have become a joke. People see what you’re saying and it’s affecting the perception of the fandom. Moreover, you’re actively ruining the experience for fans around you and are voicing that you hope it fails.

That’s not what being part of a fandom is about. I am so, so, so tired of seeing negativity about the comics and Ian Flynn. Again, honest opinions are fine and I want people to feel how they feel. Their feelings should be valid. But having your opinions and becoming toxic to the point that you’re notorious for it... is just too much.

I love Sonic as I am sure many other fans do. Hell, there’s definitely love for Sonic with the IDW-haters as well; you wouldn’t feel so passionately about the blue blur if you didn’t care. But just take some perspective and realize what this is doing.

I had a good friend once who I thought would be somebody I could always relate to for good and bad. This friend would get angry if I didn’t agree to certain comments about Dr. Eggman and would be upset if I didn’t reply in a certain way to certain posts. It was like walking on egg shells. It came to a point where I needed to separate myself from that person. They became constantly toxic about all things modern Sonic. It made me feel depressed and guilty just to enjoy the series that I love. Toxicity is something that just corrodes you to the pit of your soul if it goes too deep. I miss this friend, but I don’t think I can ever truly be friends with them that way again. It affects me so often to this day.

Please, feel how you feel about Sonic comics, movies, games, whatever. Just realize how much your distaste for something is affecting you, your friendships, and others. I can’t stand this kind of drama anymore. I just want to love Sonic and want people to love Sonic as well. That’s what fandom is supposed to be about.

I don't really know how to explain this but I'll try. One reason I specifically don't like Prime is that everything feels like what I can only describe as "fandom-tailored". Like, have you ever had that moment when you look at a character, their design and how they act and you just have this gut feeling that they are almost artificially engineered to be the fandom's new blorbo or something. That's what I felt when I saw Nine and the Not-Metal Not-Sonic, for example, or heck, even Prime!Sonic himself. When I see people on twitter gushing about him going "omg so cutie patootie haha no thought head empty he is soooooo silllyy!!!" I just go "yep that's just about what I expected". Am I making sense?

You are, and yes. Again, my only knowledge of Prime is from some clips, but Sonic feels so... fanfiction-y. "The world has gone BLBLBLBLBLBLBL" that's not how Sonic talks! Oh, he has ~character development~? Which is exactly what fans want from Sonic? Next you'll tell me that he finally cries :^) I bet he will in a climatic moment, I'm calling it rn.

And, y'know, the Sonadow bait, because why not. (the Sonamy bait seems to have more meat to it, at least, but eh, I prefer more subtlety when it comes to them)

Movie Sonic, whether you like him or not, has the justification of 1) not pretending to be canon, and 2) technically starring a younger Sonic who is just learning how to be a hero. Prime Sonic is supposed to be the same from the games. Bro. I know Sonic. That ain't Sonic. Sonic is not an ADHD icon just like me fr fr. Be honest about it, please.

But aside from Sonic, things like Nine Tails (which was compared to an infamous fancomic already) and Apple Metal Sonic feel like they're trying hard to appeal to the average audience. Admittedly, the whole show feels catered to older kids/younger teens, which is why I feel I wouldn't enjoy it. Not that adults can't lmao, but it's... I don't know, I don't want to call it bad, but it's just not what I'd want from a Sonic product.

Hello everyone, I’m Lady Azulina 💙 Just Azu around these parts. I have been thinking about doing an introduction since I started diving into the Writeblr community who knows how long ago—certainly not me. But I wasn’t able to decide where to start. I still don’t know, but I believe that even the smallest attempt can be a great step, so here we go—I mean, I. Here I go. I really want to make this space something safe for me. For me to vent. For me to share. For me to be me even when I don’t know how to be me. I tried Instagram. I tried Twitter. Now I’m consciously trying Tumblr. Let’s see how this goes.

2-1: My pronouns are she / her. I’m also cis. And as far as I know, I’m hetero, but I haven’t had the opportunity to test my sexuality, so I can’t be totally sure. Why I’m telling all of it? I don’t even know! Don’t mind me.

2: The sun has gone around twenty-four times since I was born. I’m from winter. Like, an-early-Christmas-gift type. By five days only. I was supposed to be born in February, but I think I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday with the rest of the family. So it was Christmas. Sadly.

2+1: I'm legally a Sagittarius, but heartily I don't know where I fit. Sagittarius sun, Capricorn moon, and Aquarius rising.

2x2: I LOVE personality tests. For the majority of my life, I was INFP-T, but the last result says I am ISFP-T. My Enneagram type is a solid 4, a light 9. My color personal test is serulian (#9bb7d4).

2x2x2+2: On the topic of fiction, excepting a few self-insert (usually coming out in form of micro-stories), all I write and have ever written is absolutely and totally… fiction. Gezh, believe me, I was also looking for another completely unsuspecting word to get you all there, but I went b l a n k. You all know about it, don’t you?

12-1: I'm a fantasy-setup type of girl. I think I decided that with my very first novel, full of fantasy creatures. Though I haven't been writing there for a while, it's still one of my primary genres. I also like paranormal stuff, not in a very big matter, but its participation is still appreciated.

12: I love mysteries, and I think I’m trying to write one, but I do not try to solve them. My head wouldn’t forgive me if I try to push it so hard. On the same topic, I enjoy detective series.

12+1: I found my hidden love for (writing) action scenes thanks to a specific character. I'm still trying my ways because I don't get to write with her as much as I would like.

12+2: Other than the ones I've already mentioned, I'm pretty bad at identifying genres or tropes, so I won't be doing that. If you recognize any in my writings, please point them out to me! That way I can add them to the tags and so on.

12+2+1: For a while, I was roleplaying in forums, so I think I can say I have fics from Digimon, Pokemon, Sword Art Online, and My Hero Academia. Needless to say, I'm trying to turn all their stories into original ones; I can talk about them whenever.

12+2+2: I always create characters in pairs because I don’t want them to feel lonely like I do, though it doesn’t mean they’re romantic pairs.

12+2+2+1: I’m pretty in love with the blue color, hence my name, its lighter tones especially.

12+2+2+2: My real-real name is also a blue color! I think I’m unbiased from birth.

20-1: I’m a Caribbean Latin lady, my first language is Spanish. I would love the second one to be Sign Language, but I think it really is English.

20: I started studying (in college) Maths, but it didn’t work. I shifted to English, but it’s not working either.

20+1: My alter ego is an editor, proofreader, and writing coach, I can serve as the mediator, and as a way of trying her services as a beta reader.

22: I think it’s already obvious, but my favorite number is 2. The 02, 20, and 22 also work. 12 just because it’s my birthday month, but it also has a 2!

lol at them because firstly these men always fucking always admit he's good looking. secondly they prove that they ALL are misogynistic creeps who can't accept the fact that a woman who supports a good looking man (which they'll never be) have more knowledge about a sport than they do.

the constant he's depressed at ferrari narrative is all over the world by now, it's naturally understandable why the media behaves like that no?

i don't know who the fuck considers carlos an alpha male when that guy literally has the most ''i don't know what I'm doing here im clueless" look on his face. yesterday he was almost on the verge of tears on the radio. BUT since he's spanish he's considered an alpha apparently like alonso. alonso doing these tiktoks is considered funny but if charles ever does the same he'll be crucified w the words focus on driving. max gets told off by kelly in whatever clip of a documentary i saw on twitter, and i fully support everyone who bashes her because heck yes she is wrong. there everyones feeling bad for max and understandably so but god forbid that was charles in the clip i fucking bet half the qts from men would be for him to grow balls and stop her from pointing fingers.

Genuinely I read all of them and I love reading all of your guys thoughts! It's just if I don't have the brain to respond immediately I just forget.. and I am really sorry about that.

To the babygirlifying can get a bit much too, but with fans overall I am fine because I feel like most of them do know that they are talking about grown adults. Or at least it is somewhat in the back of their heads. But also it's fans and fandom is allowed to be a bit strange sometimes imo.

Yeah, that weird reaction to Charles having fans is so wild. You'd think he was just pretty but trundling around a minute off of the field with how convinced some people are that he only has fans because of his face.

Some of them are so adamant that I am convinced that they only have an issue with him because they are jealous. Also like what do they want him to do? take off his face? It's not like he is going out of his way to look the way he does it's just his fucking face.

It always makes me wonder about how the brains of men work if they always assume that women can't find someone attractive and still hold other positive opinions of them. Like are men that blinded by peoples attractiveness? They can't grasp that someone being nice to look at is quite often just the cherry on top of many other things.

Overall I don't think that what drivers say in the car and even to a certain extent in the post race interviews should be held against them. Obviously as long as they are being respectful. But a race with all the adrenaline is a very emotional situation for them and I think that's fine.

But yeah the double standard is what pisses me off. Carlos being upset means he is the only one that cares but if that had been Charles the narrative would've been completely different. I hate all of the narratives I just don't get why they are so weirdly different.

I think it's a mixture of he is pretty, he has a lot of fangirls (and anything that women especially young women like has to be bad) and the fact that he is kind.

But it's so funny because he has always been infantilised to a certain extent in F1 but like in 2018/19 the whole thing used to be that Max should learn from him because he is so much calmer and so much more in control of himself. But even though Charles himself hasn't changed that much it's apparently the opposite and it's bad or he doesn't have control over himself.

People on twitter having dumb opinions is annoying but doesn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that this weird narrative about him is also being perpetuated by the pundits. By the professionals.

I'm glad that he doesn't seem to be too bothered by that, like it probably annoys him a little but he isn't like upset about it and he isn't going to change because of it.

I just wonder if the pundits are aware of what they are doing and why they are doing it. and what they would say if they were confronted with facts and how they keep contradicting themselves.

hey! ive always been a diehard kh fan since i was pretty young, and i still am, but i've kinda fallen off following the series as closely as i want to since before the end of khux. with this new bloodborne looking ass game coming out i really. REALLY want to get back into it, but idk how to keep up to date on whats going on, and more importantly, what order im supposed to be consuming khux, dark road, and this new thing. i was hoping youd be willing to show me who to follow to keep me updated on kh news and how i should be watching basically any post-kh3 content so i can catch up? i know this is a big request but you just seem super dialed into whats going on

Melody of Memory comes after kh3 and can be watched/played pretty much whenever you want at this point. [ Cutscene movie ]

The chronological timeline of the prequel mobile games is as follows: khux -> missing link (“bloodborne!”) -> dark road

Now it’d be best to stick with this order, but as you can see from the release timeline of these games, it’s not mandatory to consume it that way. For example, you could go khux -> dark road -> missing link and you’d be in the same waiting boat as most of us, no problem.

Don’t mind me, I just feel the need to vent a bit because while idc too much about the twins, the support with Veyle (along with Engage’s censorship) is something that gets more and more on my nerves mainly because it feeds on misinformation all over. 

Basically  the “Veyle is romantic” is a rumor that started spreading with the leak of the game’s jpn support with someone on Reddit and twitter sharing some portions of transalted dialogue cut out of context and because of the “kind dragon child” that success to Alear and Veyle.  Except the people who saw those never went to see the ACTUAL support in their entirety to compare. 

Basically their main argument is that Alear calls Veyle their partner, however the word partner /  パートナー has 3 meaning :

1. 共同で仕事をする相手。相棒。 

Someone you work with. Partner ("aibou" - JP )

2 ��ンス・スポーツなどで二人一組になるときの相手。

 2. Someone you perform a two-person dance, sport, etc with. 

3「配偶者、またはそのような関係の相手。 

3. Spouse, or someone you have that sort of relationship with.

as you can see, the word  パートナー is mostly use for the sense of someone sharing a common activity even if it can be used for lover, but, and it’s the pit of the irony, it is Anna’s jpn support that actually shows that when Alear offers someone to be their  パートナー they don’t necesserarily means “lover”. In fact, in the og, when Anna confessed her crush to Alear, they give her the pact ring saying “if it’s too soon to lovers/恋人, maybe we can stay partners/ パートナー ?” you can check, all you have to do is activating the jpn dub and transalte which is what I did rather then believing Internet’s crybabies. You don’t have to be an expert in lingustic to understand that in this context partner and lovers aren’t consider to be synonymous and that partner is supposed to be less than lover in this case. 

When you watch the ENTIRE S support for Veyle, it’s obvious that Treehouses didn’t change much thing, just got rid of word partner, but imo it has more to do with wanting to clarify which of Alear’s support were meant to be romantic since the jpn version use the word  パートナー for all supports even when it’s not intented to be romantic. Now look at the sentence that Alear says as they gave Veyle the pact ring

リュール：きょうだいとして、大切なパートナーとして、ヴェイルに持っていてほしいんです。 

Translation Alear: I want you to have it [the pact ring], Veyle. As my sibling, and as a precious partner. 

Except for some wordings and Treehouse wanting to emphasise on family bond with their translation, the dialogue is literally the SAME. Another evidence it was never romantic to begin with are Veyle’s wake up events after the pact ring which are essentially, just like in English, her telling you to wake up so you can fight Papabron and her saying she could jump out of joy if Alear were to wake her up. Heck the S support itself used the pact ring as a substitute for Alear’s broken dragon stone, and honestly i wanted to wrote a commentary on how this S support is brillant I will do it once I am done with this. 

The other argument was that the child in jpn of their paired ending isn’t precised to be an orphan and “Alear and Veyle are the last dragon in Elyos so we know what’s going on!!” except that

1) This kid exist in the jpn ending with FEMALE alear too, and we all know that futanari doesn’t exist in FE universe so that kid can’t be the result of any weird stuff between Veyle and her older sibling

2) That’s the proof that nobody listen to the game, hence why so many people are being like “Engage don’t have wordlbuilding”, yes it does, you were just sleeping when people were explaining things. Alear and Veyle aren’t the last dragons. Alear is the last divine dragon and Veyle the last fell dragon but there is still a lot of mage dragon it’s in XenElyos that all dragons but the Fell twins and Zelestia are dead !!! Seeing how the dragon child grew up in the orphanage too, it doesn’t take a big brain to understand this child was an orphan too but Veyle and Alear choose him as a successor at any rate him barging in even in the ending with Toothpaste chan ruins any arguments that they had.

As for the twins, just compare how their pact ring support with Alear is written vs Veyle and how their wake up event post pact ring is written vs Veyle’s... those are very different deal. I know people are comparing the 2 situation because to them Nel and Rafal have “the same dad” as Alear and Veyle, and I’d rather not comment upon this. 

Sure IS wanted to let the player give the ring to everyone but Veyle and the twins arent the same kind of fanservice : Veyle is a imouto fan service, much like Morgan and Kanna except instead of giving you a child fanservice, a baby you take care of, they decided to make Veyle a little sister you take care of, a little like how Lilith and Sommie exist for you to take care of them as a appeal. But because IS isn’t completely nuts and that Veyle’s relationship with Alear is important to the story, they just went for a platonic promise to stick together between two siblings that had it hard and the fact the whole Internet try to corrupt something that makes sense given their story is beyond me (not the worst thing I have seen mind you but still) whereas the twins are two characters IS just though they could let you romance because they themself don’t view them as siblings and the narrative shows that considering how much they care about it and that ultimately their relationship or lack of with Alear doesn’t even remotely matter 

So yeah, basically Veyle is another case of Ephraim/Eirika rumors, she was never romantic and that why at the end getting mad a Treehouse for changing the support or praising them for is kind of dumb, cause they literaly did not change much. As for the twins they are indeed romantic but given that the narrative kind of tried to make it clear that they aren’t related to Alear, they could do that : i mean, “they come from a universe where you aren’t you dad’s kid and they aren’t your sibling and since you and you alter ego are the same person, it’s enough to say they continue to remain not your sibling” is obvioulsy the reason behind that difference, after all the only support that kind of bring up the “problem” to show there weren’t any to begin with is Rafal’s S support, where, before Alear even bring up the idea, he says : 

ここでのお前は我と同じ、父上の・・・いや、邪竜の血を引く存在だと知り驚いたが… which translate into

 I was surprised to learn that you here, like me, are of my father's... no, of the blood of the evil dragon...

that’s the only sentence that the game use to bring down all worries, and it’s done in such a way, it prouve the dev really did not cared about Alear and the Fell twin’s relationship unlike for Veyle, which is one of the major plot point, in fact the sole fact that one like me could say their relationship don’t matter plot wise whereas if you say this about Veyle and Alear’s, you are dead wrong speaks words. I’ll add to that that Treehouse’s hate is really exagerated. They did not changed this much from the OG support in general, just tone down many of Alear’s romantic support, but in the OG romantic are ring finger whereas platonic are middle finger : you’ll notice that Veyle wears the ring on middle finger whereas Anna and Jean don’t even wear it at all, so it proves that once again Treehouses did not change much meaning that getting mad at them is perfectly useless, even in jpn you can’t romance any of those 3 characters. In fact, it seems they went less “censoring” for the DLC, I know they censored Maddie’s support however, but the rest is just a difference in wording. 

On a sidenote, I will never understand why people complain in FE about ships being weird, any others franchise ok, but FE knowing it’s history of weird narrative ships ? reminds me of the VNC shipwars, where everyone forgot Mochizuki feeds on chaotic and “toxic” relationship but if it’s enough for them to lose their mind, I’d advice them to never come near Evilious Chronicles

Hi:) saw your art on Twitter it's really breathtaking. Apart from that I also saw you ship a lot for sns and do really support them more than most of the shippers. But here is a opinion I had, you guys believe sauske and naruto should be together as a couple. It's not a wrong thing to be gay as it's 2022 xD. But kisimoto doesn't state they are gay Or sauske love Naruto sexually and vice versa. I mean Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship is based off of Kishimoto and his twin’s relationship. He has a twin brother whom he’s very close to, and who he says he shares pain with - not in a literal sense, but in the sense that if his twin is in pain and he knows this, he also suffers pain emotionally. Naruto and Sasuke’s brotherly bond is written to emulate that. If he wrote Naruto and Sasuke romantically, that would be turning his feelings for his twin into romantic/sexual feelings. I think you can see why he didn’t want to do that, and why he repeatedly underlined that they were brothers.Naruto called Sasuke his brother as far back as Final Valley. He did it again when confronting Itachi before Itachi’s death.

Romance was never on the table.

I am honestly confused how some people equate a brotherly bond into a romantic one. 🥴

It’s important to note that in Kishimoto’s story, a bunch of people tried to sway him from his plans (like doing Narusaku) but overall, he has always stayed on tracked on how he wanted the characters to end.

P.S. I know there is not really LGBTQ+ representation in anime but forming baseless assumptions does not help, especially if the author already conveyed their ideals. :) if author didn't create this universe our childhood would be dead. Arguing with author, well doesn't make sense does it.

Ah, either way, they’re straight, its official, Naruto and Sasuke are just, beyond a brotherly bond, Im not saying its gay (of course not) but it is a very tight brotherly bond, even though by blood, they are far from brothers. We can't rewrite the story anyway because it's already been published and ended with hinata with naruto , sauske with sakura.

I assume you read/seen Naruto, right? So, no need to look further!

He didn’t, I agree! At least not to my knowledge, I don’t know him personally. And neither did I (or did I see anyone) say that either. 

Okay just for fun - Imagine this with me, just for a second. 

We have a Mangaka that uses a Visual Medium that primarily relies on components like spacing, lines, shapes, tones, contrast, rhythm, composition etc- to effectively convey things like moods and emotions and with that utilize important relationships within that story structure, agree? 

Naruto is a visual blend that has become one of the most successful manga in the world in which Kishimoto is the director and staff (screenwriter, cinematographer, costume designer, director, art director, actors, props, set pieces, special effects, makeup) all by himself while creating the story (in all its glory) and carefully draws the pages which then go by the extremely meticulous editors from WSJ every week.

And you say that he, Kishimoto, a visual storyteller, has to “state”.. as in express in words, in some interview, how a character feels after the whole story is over, because we didn’t understand? He couldn’t fit it in? There was no time? His favorite pancake shop had a free delivery deal and that took priority?  

Embarrassing. 

If anything, I think we understood it well enough ;)

You sound like you know him personally. Kishimoto has said a lot of things in interviews, one thing more contradicting than the other. There are a multitude of “interviews” going around, more often than not without sources and yet, even in favor of SNS, I wouldn’t use them in an argument. Especially in later interviews the man seemed to have forgotten what he had said in another- now… why would it be so quiet? 

Interviews are not valid arguments (imo), but I’ll entertain you since I know which interview you’re talking about. 

Funnily enough, when you look for it, mainly SS pages come up seemingly in a very desperate attempt to push the whole “SNS are brothers”-scheme under everyone’s noses. 

Which is even more funny, no? If the strength of faith in their ships were completely rock solid, surely they would have been able to dismiss contrasting information with a pitying smile. Or might not even feel offended at all.

But when I say desperate.. I mean, desperate.. 

This is just one account and it is full of posts like this that go from “oh they’re brothers, aw, uwu, so cute :3” to very aggressive nonsense that proves these posts are only meant to emphasize on the “brother”-part in the first place. Not caring about Naruto or Sasuke AT ALL. Taking a tiny excerpt from a whole interview and completely milking it as much as possible.

If that is of more importance than intellectual content.. like.. I dunno, for example.. the whole story of Naruto(!?) then that just means, for what it looks like, resentment, anger and hurt pride.. why exactly?

When you can’t even hold a rational discussion anymore, because a contrary view causes you to step on a minefield of emotional responses and you have to preach to 35k+ people that your ship LOVES each other, because “I found a written sentence online so it must be true and you have to believe me✌🏼”.. then what does that imply?

If the translations are correct then he didn’t say Naruto and Sasuke have a “brotherly bond”. He said their friendship is modeled after the one he felt with his brother. Which is feeling the pain of the other. And that love/bond feeling and friendship for him is the same. It wasn’t necessarily about his brother. There is a difference in context there. 

Besides, he also has said that he couldn’t “put in words” what their relationship is and how hard that is for him to describe. He dodged that question several times too. But sure, hold on to that, I guess. He’s an artist, creator, author.. surely he would know and surely such questions aren’t needed, but hey, here we are. 

(Also.. “everything doesn’t always go as planned”, aye?)

Saying that Naruto and Sasuke loving each other romantically is the same as then forcing the idea that the author feels sexually attracted to his twin is comically outrageous. Can you at least, for once, agree with me?   

Which is also why, luckily, there is a very clear and distinctive difference in how Sasuke treats his brother and how he treats Naruto.. or you know, anyone for that matter.

Now, this is where I’ll disagree with you. Please go back to VotE1 and count the number of times they call each other ‘friend’. (This includes side-notes.) No, I’m serious.

SNS naysayers love to use this here:  

And are delighted to call this proof of them seeing each other as brothers.. and yet, that’s not at all what is happening. Let’s talk about the context. 

Sasuke never acknowledges Naruto being his brother or feeling like he is his brother OR his bond with Naruto feeling “brotherly”. (Where do “you guys” (your words) even get this from anyway?)

The only reason Naruto brings it up here is because he was wondering if being with Sasuke was what it would feel like to have a brother, because he obviously felt something. Yet, as they both acknowledge, Naruto never had such bonds, so he wouldn’t know, but Sasuke does since he has/had Itachi. (And grew up with a family.) Therefore he doesn’t answer to that, yet calls Naruto his closest friend.  

“It wasn’t all meaningless. To me you have become my closest friend.”

Naruto questions Sasuke's choice of words. Why? Well, for one, they're fighting and Sasuke is seemingly trying to kill him here, but also hearing Sasuke say this made Naruto even more confused.

“I have to make sure.. what Sasuke’s talking about.. about me..” (Naruto doing everything he can to try and understand.)

“How are we friends?”

“I don’t understand.”

“But if..”

“Maybe I thought..”

Naruto in VotE1 is so confused. (Can we blame him?) The whole fight includes Naruto’s confessions about Sasuke, what he initially thought and felt to then: “I aspired to be like you” “I always wanted to be like you” “I was truly glad you acknowledged me” “I wanted to talk to you”. Him saying “when I’m with you I wonder if it’s like being with a brother”, followed up with mutual silence makes a lot of sense if you take everything into consideration and not just copy/paste one panel so you can say: “See? Brothers.” Because that is not what it is. But then again, I’ve read enough pro-canon posts to not be surprised. 

(This includes Naruto wondering whether being with Iruka is what it would feel like to be with a father.) 

((And if you really, REALLY want to be picky and hold on to the little cut taken out of some ‘Kishimoto interview’-theory, then remember these details, because Naruto is a child here. And if there is anything Naruto has done throughout the story then it is doing his best to try and understand. This includes himself.))

If I had the time and I wouldn’t scare people away from my blog with it, I would type endlessly about VotE1 & 2 and how insanely accurate the details are when it comes to them ‘growing up’. How they really have gone from A to B physically, but especially mentally. 

In particular, the childish way in which Naruto is arguing with Sasuke in VotE1. Gosh, the people who are complaining about him and how “pushy” he is and that he “doesn’t understand Sasuke” and blablabla.. yes!! That is the point!!! And that is what is so beautiful about it, because it comes from a heart that tries to reach out to Sasuke in order to protect. To protect a bond, to protect someone that is precious to him (as is established in LoW-Arc). Naruto knew what "going to Orochimaru (of all people.. snake.. being(?))" would mean for Sasuke. He was scared for him.

"You might get killed! I can't let you go somewhere like that!"

(NarUtO nEvEr caRed fOr sAsuKe. Stfu.)

In no other anime or any other medium are two characters this focussed on each other calling each other friend this many times as if we as an audience perhaps would forget or something. (As if.) Neither is Sasuke satisfied with that word, but we’ll let that slide for now.

Yet on one single occasion Naruto felt the need to say: “He’s like a brother to me.” 

Uhm?!

“More of a brother than he ever was to you!”

Ah see, now it makes sense. I mean at this point we’re already aware of Naruto’s personality and his intense care towards Sasuke, no?

Even Itachi himself says so. 

Itachi isn’t stupid by any means. In fact, if you go back to this scene Kishimoto made sure to draw several panels of him with just a “knowing look”. 

“You just said.. 

“I’m asking what you’d do if your “brother” attacked Konoha.” Now why couldn’t he say something like: “I’m asking what you’d do if Sasuke attacked Konoha?” Itachi is not a petty person. He’s trying to illustrate to himself, but Naruto even, what Sasuke truly means to this blonde dude that fights tooth and nail for his little brother. 

“What is it about my brother that makes you care so much?” 

Itachi keeps questioning Naruto, his intentions are too obvious if you’re willing to look beyond a hetero biased shipping lens. (If only.)

(Also, I personally always found it interesting that Itachi never asked "why are you doing this?", "why are you doing this for Sasuke?" or something similar. Could be that I have wrong translations though (let me know!), but "what is it about my brother" Really?)

Yeah its all so very hetero.

This is just another case of “he said the word brother so they’re brothers” without taking in the whole scene. Or the whole story for that matter, because in literally any other scene Naruto is screaming, begging and pining over his friend Sasuke. (And the amount of unfinished sentences in this manga are killing me.) 

And boy does it all look so friendly.

Undoubtedly Kishimoto wrote a love story even if you don’t see it as ‘romance’ necessarily. If the journey between these two characters is described as anything other than “love”, again, take it how it resonates for you, then that’s quite ignorant. You’ll have to completely ignore the author’s intent and complete substance that essentially is “Naruto”. Why make it so boring for yourself? 

But anyway, yes, it’s Shonen Manga “cool battles between the hero and monsters and they win through the power of friendship!”. At least.. it’s supposed to be. On a surface level. Can we not disrespect the story and Kishimoto like that? Thank you.

Besides, if I were you I would fact-check those so-called hints. I would LOVE to know more about them since I can’t recall any. Glad you shared with us which hints these are btw, lemme guess: little, sweet Hinata has always been there for Naruto, right? Supported him from the deep, dark shadows of trauma that has become her favorite hiding place: behind a tree. And that earns her the right to become his wife, because that’s all that matters. Who cares how Naruto feels anyway. “Female empowerment!” Yay~ Or just because Hinata is seen in a sketch with a necklace that holds the Uzumaki symbol somehow that should overshadow 699 chapters of story substance, because look. at. that. necklace. The Signal Towers forever unfinished meal, a sudden loss in control

We have always theorized that the tower eats the souls of the viewers until they  are left as nothing more than empty husks who are ready to take their own lives. The viewers... are forever meant to be lost within the tvs perfect false world, until they are fated to pay the ultimate price for their viewership, the price being of course... their bodies and souls!

 Fans have always suspected that the bodies of the viewers were sucked through the tvs in order to be added to the giant flesh mass within the tower, However, later on, many of us began to speculate that the viewers might have only been added to the body of a much larger creature and that the giant eyes seen near the end of the game were never part of the various viewers  within the pale city, these giant eyes...could very well have been an entity of their own!

 If this mass of flesh and eyes was the true culprit behind the destruction of the pale city then perhaps despite its many victims, the thin man was the one exception to its hunger. Due to its reliance on the thin mans powers, many of us had assumed that the eye chose to keep him locked away deep within its many layers of walls, halls, stairs and  rooms in an effort to corrupt his mind and force him to do its terrible bidding .

 And yet something doesn't make sense...of all the enemies that were seen throughout the game, the thin man was the only one shown with a thin and frail body. The hunter, the teacher, the doctor and the viewers were all quite fat when compared to the thin man, but why? Everyone within the city was fated to be fattened and distorted until the time came for them to be consumed by the tower, so why was the thin man the only one who was so... thin?!....unless....his fate was not much different than theirs.....but still different in its own way...

Where am I gong with this?... well, when we see thin man, he is noted to spend the majority of his life sitting in a tiny room somewhere deep within the tower.

 As thin man ages over time, several of us began to notice something odd, something that was so obvious to begin with that we didn't even bother to question it at the time....The tiny room that held the thin man prisoner... may not have been just a room!...but else could it have been?

well, before monos power was used to restore the eye entity to its original tower  form, the area he was trapped in was technically still nothing more that a part of its body!.

Considering that mono fell deep within the depths of towers flesh, this room could very well have been symbolized to  not only be monos life long prison...but a space that would forever remain empty...a space that could never be filled by just anyone. If we think of the tower as a body with its own organs in the form of different rooms,  then what if the tiny room we saw mono imprisoned in...was symbolized to be the Towers own stomach!.

Many of us had originally theorized that perhaps the thin mans energy and soul  were no exception to the eye entities wrath. If this is true then this would mean that unlike the rest of the viewers who were forced to wait until their time came to be fully consumed by the eye, the thin man was forever doomed to be slowly eaten away by the tower as his power was used to send out its transmission to the rest of the world!. If the room is truly the towers stomach then this would mean that with each passing year, the tower slowly ate away a little more of the thin mans body and soul, until eventfully, he became nothing more than the thin, frail old man that we saw him as in the game. The thin man...may have been truly trapped within “the belly of the beast” this entire time!

However, unlike the rest of its victims, its possible that the eye restrained itself from adding the thin man to its fleshy body, why exactly would it do that? because it needs the thin man to continue living of course!. It is the thin mans power that allows it to spread its hypnotic spell throughout the tvs of the world

So then, what if unlike the rest of its victims, the eye looked upon the thin man not as a dish that should be eaten whole, but rather as a meal that should never be finished! After all, If it is to continue in its never ending desire to feast upon the world, then it needs the thin man to exist and allow its vicious cycle of consumption to continue. Rather than leave the thin man to the same fate as the other residents of the world, the eye could very well have chosen to throw a piece of him up, out of its stomach and back out into the world in order to feast upon his newly born flesh and soul over and over again, that newly born form being of course...MONO.... and as he continues to relive a new life outside the tower, the one piece of his “remains” continues to suffer within the tower itself.

Yes, it truly seems as though nothing can stop this horrific force of flesh and eyes, the world is forever there to be consumed by it, through the use of others.... nothing can ever hope to stand in its way, it is in control …or is it?....

On April 1, 2021, the twitter page became increasingly active , however, it was not acting like its normal hauntingly scary self as it presented a “new game”

Naturally this was supposed to be an April fools joke to the public. However, despite this, many fans began to question why the twitter needed to act as someone else... just to present a joke? it could have very easily done this with out changing its tone.

As the day went on and as we continued to view a variety of goofy replies, something bizarre occurred, once April fools day came to a close.

The original twitter page was coming back!... but something felt off... rather than take back the twitter page to its original form, it was almost as if it was struggling to take back the account from some foreign entity. For those that do not have a twitter page or have gone through every single comment on the account, you should know that many of us have come to realize that the holder of the account could very well have been the flesh void within the tower, in other words, the twitter page was a representation of  the eye entity itself communicating with the public!

As April fools ended, the original twitter page took back control of the account...albeit in an a horrifying manner.

Naturally, the strangeness didn't end just then and there, of all the things to say to the public to explain the sudden and bizarre change in the twitter accounts activity, the original twitter page simply stated that a “rogue signal” interfered with its communication. 

Despite the fans delight in welcoming back the original twitter and being done with April fools, the twitter decided to instead continue with the recipe contest in an effort to select a winner. As the contest ended the twitter revealed to everyone that it had  taken everyones joke recipes and had tried them out for itself. In an ironic turn of events, the twitters favorite dish was revealed to be a mono’s soup!...what's most peculiar  about its choice of dish was how it commented that this soup was “Nearly as good as eating the real mono”!

 If the twitter page is a representation of the eye entity within the tower and if the tower is truly feasting upon the viewers of the world... then does this mean that  the thin man is also just another part of its meal?...maybe..... And I know what you are thinking, “this was just an April fools joke, just something to make fun at”...but what if it wasn't?...ever since the release of little nightmares 2, the twitter page began to hint at certain details of the game in the form of cryptic messages. 

The twitter page has even stated to us, on multiple occasions, that it lives to make us suffer, it is the one who is in control and we are nothing more than soon to be residents of its world that will be infected with escapism,

There is no way of escape....and yet... how was it that  a “rogue signal” was capable of interfering with its control? unless....something BIG interfered!?.... but who or rather what could have possibly been powerful enough to resist or even fight against the eyes control? Of all the times to present such a  struggle for control, why chose now?.... unless....has their been a shift in power within the  little nightmares world?... If so, then what the heck is it, or rather, what caused it!?  We may not know what it was right now, but something lead the eye entity to lose its grip on the false reality it had maintained for thousands of years......was it mono?... or is it something  that has just entered the range of the pale city?..... I guess we will just have to wait and see...for now that’s just a theory, a little nightmares II theory!

wow, everyone.  we’re here.  we’ve made it.  we’re reached the end of our bingo time, and i’m absolutely floored by the sheer creative output that i’ve seen over these last four months.  everyone, take a moment to give yourself a pat on the back!!!  no matter if you made 1 piece or 10, there’s now a work of art out there in the world that wasn’t there before.  and truly, that’s super heccing rad no matter how you look at it.

I feel like we’re leading up to some Ranboo and Tommy conflict in canon. Or at least something between them.

We have no idea what’s happened in prison. We have no idea what state Tommy will be in mentally when he gets out. Dream could have been putting ideas into his head. I can see him trying to either manipulate Tommy into doing something that will activate Ranboo’s enderwalk state (like he did with Sapnap), or turning Tommy against Ranboo for whatever reason. Or both honestly.

I could just see him casually mention something about Ranboo saying something when he visted Dream... or just something along the lines of being on friendly terms with him. Putting the idea into Tommy’s head to say or give Ranboo something that will send him into his enderwalk state to do whatever the next stage of whatever he’s doing is.

Also like,,, Ranboo has been quiet on the lore front lately and it’s making me nervous. Legitmately I think since Sapnap sparked his enderwalk state the last time he’s been remotely in character (unless we count all the bits with Tubbo or the conversation with Phil and Sam) (and I suppose some of the motel was in character, but even then he’s making it mostly ooc while vibing/suffering with Tubbo) is - I believe - making the wheat farm and being weird about the obsidian. He hasn’t even mentioned his memory book for AGES and silence from Mr Ranboo Beloved makes me very nervous what is he planning guys you know he has something planned it’s going to hurt what is he doing what is he going to lay on us i am SCARED.

PLUS, and this could be absolutely nothing, but ooc Tommy has been very vocal about not liking Ranboo - have you seen Tommy’s twitter recently? It’s either about being verified or having beef with Ranboo. (I know, it’s a funny bit for content, [and honestly it’s my favourite active bit right now it’s halarious] but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’d tie it into dsmp lore). Tommy coming out of prison to find Ranboo, who he may have reason to be distrustful towards because of hints from Dream, and Tubbo platonically married or whatever the heck happened, is probably not going to end well.

Anyway I just want Tommy and Ranboo interactions I don’t really care how I’m prepared for angst I shall go hide in my hybrid/origins/modded smp safe zone or be laughed at by Dadza while he makes Flower Falls once the angst has gone down.

Everyday I fight for my spot in heaven when it comes to the legacies fandom, The timeline on Twitter been going wild since week and going worst since they posted that hope poster last night and I can tell you with the hardcore hate us handon's been getting the handon nation never fail's to entertain the heck outta me been laughing from last night till this minute😂😂😂😂😭😭. The handon's and hosie's in arguments, the hizzie and hosie's been arguing but like the fun part is watching the handon's and Hizzie's arguing with the hoise's the time line been killing me since Monday😂😂😂 sorry if I sound toxic😭 am deadass just tired of the hosie's it's always the hosie's, all grown ass adults hosie stans a agrue over ship Pon Twitter and them suppose to be the one to set examples me cah bada😂😂😭...

2. The hosie's talking about hope doesn't have any storyline out of Landon and this season is deadass about hope she finally getting the spotlight and the hosie's still complaining about hope not having a storyline all because of the hope poster 🤦🤦 and if the hope poster did have a Josie saying on it I know for a damn fact the hosie's would be rubbing it in every other ships fans faces 🙄🙄..... We been wanting Landon's own storyline for so fcking long and now maybe we getting it (if the writers actually makes the effort🙄) Dani did say hope and Landon gonna figure them self outside of there realtionship, assuming that's b4 the pause is up.. and that's exactly what there doing hope as a storyline and Landon as a storyline ( although they making Landon storyline about other people except him) a can't bother 🤦..

3. I stuggle with my emotions and am trying to break my attachment with legacies and mostly handon Everytime I try to come out of the handon fandom and legacies fandom because of the toxicity cause its not good for my mental health some how am right back to where I started and can't get out.. the handon fandom is So entertaining deadass😂😂😭.....

It’s all good, your English is totally fine! I don’t have a twitter but will look around sometimes so I’ve seen some of it and it has indeed been ridiculous. I just can’t believe that people are absolutely losing their minds over a poster with a little quote. Though I can’t deny it can be quite entertaining to see. 😂 You don’t sound toxic, sometimes with this fandom you just have to laugh because of the kind of behavior that goes on. And yeah, it’s always the H*sies, which I feel is a lot of kids as well, but it’s sad that there are so many adults too. Hard to believe the way they act, and over a ship that’s not even real in the show.

Oh yeah, it seems that’s all anyone can talk about, Hope’s whole story “revolving around Landon,” even though Hope is literally getting her own storyline right now. But exactly, they’re still complaining because of a poster rather than focusing on what’s happening in the show. Even though it looks like they’re reusing stuff from s3 promo (why they’re doing basically no promo for s4, who knows) and the quote is also technically from what was originally part of s3 too. And I love seeing new matching Handon posters and love how they sort of hinted at the connection between Hope’s humanity and Landon with the caption and that poster, but overall, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal? At least not to the extent that people are making it. And it’s not like this is the first and only Hope poster, we did get the first poster for this season with just Hope that had no relation to Landon. And Handon is the main couple of the show, so just because they continue to show that with some of the promo material doesn’t mean everything about Hope revolves around Landon. No one was complaining when Landon’s quote on his poster was about Hope (I know it’s because they don’t care because they hate him, but just saying). There’s nothing wrong with them showing that their love story is still a big part of the show and their characters. And they can still have their own storylines outside of that. Which is what we are now seeing (hopefully with Landon too).

And exactly, just imagine the reaction if Hope’s poster had a quote about Josie, we’d never hear the end of it. I just think it’s ironic how they complain about Hope and her storyline revolving around Landon when they make everything having to do with Hope about Josie and vice versa. I mean, they even want a no humanity Hope and dark Josie team up, which would take away from Hope’s own storyline that they’ve supposedly waited so long for? Such hypocrites...

And so true, I’m really hoping we’re gonna finally get Landon’s own storyline, we’ve gone an entire season without seeing any of his storyline. So let’s hope the writers will give it to us and actually treat him like a character rather than a plot device. And I hope Danielle was right as well about both Hope and Landon figuring things out about themselves, it could be really interesting. They better not continue to make Landon’s storyline about other people like they did all last season and last episode, I can’t take it anymore. But even with Hope and Landon’s own separate storylines, their love for each other is still a huge part of their characters and who they are, the show can’t just forget that, no matter how badly the antis want them to.

And I totally get that, I often feel like I have to distance myself from this show and the fandom because it’s not good for my mental health either. The show is basically always disappointing to me these days and the fandom is so toxic, but I love Hope and Landon so much that it’s hard to distance myself the way I know I should. 😭 And yeah, the fact that it can also be very entertaining to see what goes on in the fandom doesn’t help, haha.

To piggyback on one of those last posts... Talkin about ~reader feedback~.

I don’t mean to complain about lack of comments, really. But I do find that for me specifically, I really do need some kind of community feedback to keep writing. Like I need actual words and conversations, not just kudos. I don’t mean in an “oh, I won’t post the next chapter until I get five comments!” way, but like... How to best put this...

The ideas are always there. For my favorite ships, I am pretty much always having some elaborate fantasy in my head. But writing them down takes a lot of work and, to some extent, some courage? I’m at the point now where I can finally admit to myself that I think I’m a good writer (mostly because especially after the Medium thing, it feels kind of stupid to keep arguing the point) but I still feel so much anxiety every time I post something. I know that sounds weird, with how popular some things I’ve written have been! But it’s true, like I even have an IRL friend that I send almost everything to before I post it just because I need someone to talk me up, tell me it’s not shit, and convince me to post it. (Thank you, btw, Kristy, you’ve been helping to keep me sane for almost 20 years now. lmao.)

So when I do post something and it doesn’t get any comments, especially if it was like that P5 fic I mentioned where even the exchange recip didn’t comment on it, it makes me feel... idk, kind of useless and foolish? Like “ah, I guess posting that was a dumb idea anyway...” which then just makes me never want to write again. haha. It’s not a spiteful thing. Just... idk, maybe a vulnerability thing? I need to feel like I’m writing for a group of people, either a recip for an exchange and/or gift or a community of likeminded fans. I need that support and interaction. I suppose the best metaphor for my feeling is that I need to know that there’s an airport on the other side when I get into a plane.

I felt really burned out for a long time in fandom, I think largely because I was having a really hard time finding that “airport”, so to speak. Writing felt pointless and useless. I know it’s not! And I respect people who can write for no audience. But it’s very difficult for me to do. If there’s no audience, if I’m the only audience... then I’ll just play it in my head! There has to be a reason for me to pull it out and put it on page!

As for kudos and (non-editorial) bookmarks, it’s not that I disregard them... I don’t. And I understand why kudosing is so much more appealing to most people. But when I don’t actually talk to people, it’s hard to feel that sense of community I end up craving when I write. Comments are one way of getting that. Asks and chat requests and reblogs with commentary and stuff are other ways. People responding to my tweets and having conversations. Heck, even email. idk. I deal in words and I need those to feel secure, I guess.

But in WWDITS especially and to some degree P5R, I’m starting to feel the desire to write come back and that’s very exciting for me! It probably also has to do with the fact that I’m finally moved in and mostly unpacked now lmao. Buying my first house, applying for accessibility funds, getting some of the accessibility renovations done, and moving, that whole process was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, my god. I’m almost glad that I need another six months to save for the accessible bathroom because I’m not sure my sanity could have stood another big reno project rn.

Having those kinds of fannish feelings again feels very nice, but to be entirely honest, now I’m not sure where to put them! Fandom’s changed a lot over the years. I know a lot of people talk on twitter or discord but I haven’t had a ton of luck reaching people on twitter (and due to the Medium thing I’m now private and vetting friend requests) and I hate real-time multiperson chatting like Discord. So idrk where to even do fandom anymore lmao. So I guess I’ll just keep posting long screeds on tumblr and posting fic to AO3! lmao
