as much as i enjoy making myself suffer with the unrequited love trope. i always struggle to consolidate it with sskk bc all the popular interpretations are from akutagawa’s side and to be honest i can’t picture a world where atsushi is winning the idgaf war like that

#come on. that guy was plagued by visions after akutagawa died even ango didn’t know wtf to say 😭😭😭#also him getting drawn and quartered because he was so torn up at the thought of hurting akutagawa’s homicidal vampire corpse #also bones reusing HIGUCHI’S romanticized view of akutagawa for atsushi after the cruise ship. that still makes me laugh it’s so crazy #i think we as a society focus too much on atsushi saving akutagawa from his darkness that we forget #how much akutagawa has helped atsushi overcome his. bc he rlly has. and i think even atsushi might recognize that now
