Guys, listen to me, the TMNT Bay version has Leatherhead!

So recently I downloaded the video game "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Brothers Unite", the plot of which is that the bad guys (mutant pigeons, roaches, porcupines, street thugs and several mysterious ninjas) for unknown reasons take over all the pizzerias in New York, and the task of the turtles is to move around locations and beat their butts. I would like to note that Bebop and Rocksteady also take part in all this villainous chaos, but this game does not show how they became mutants (most likely this game appeared before the 2 film). Donnie even takes blood from Rocksteady's hand for analysis and becomes convinced that all these pigeons, porcupines and roaches are the same mutants as he and his brothers, only the mutation, for some unknown reason, made them more aggressive and uncontrollable.

Leatherhead only appears at the end of the game, so the player does not get to fight him in the final battle, but it can be concluded that he has been following us throughout the game.

This mutant alligator calls the turtles traitorsss because he saw them fight with other mutants (he probably doesn’t know that this mutation drove them crazy) and disappears without a trace, using a smoke bomb.

Master Splinter says that there are still many mysteries in this city that they have to solve.

Unfortunately, this game did not receive a sequel and it's terribly sad because I was hoping to hear at least a little more about Leatherhead. After all, he’s not even a villain there, he was probably recruited into the Shredder gang (In the game, leaflets also appear on the floor with the headings “Shredder is back?”)! But what I'd most like to see is his friendship with Mikey develop.

Because SHELL SHOCK, Mikey's friendship with Leatherhead was the most ADORABLE thing about the TMNT 2012 series to me! Seriously, they could have come up with something similar with Bay verse Mikey. I think this would be something INCREDIBLY CUTE!!💚

yes!! i’m planning on including characters from the ‘87 show and perhaps the older comics to add my own spin on them,,,

characters like bebop and rocksteady, mondo gecko, the triceratons, armaggon, irma, carter, and nobody are definitely on the list.

i dont think ive spoken on bebop and rocksteady on here yet. they are henchmen to the foot as they have graciously offered them a home after their accidental contact with mutagen, which turned them into a warthog and rhino. they used to ship mutagen but lost the job immediately after that incident.

irma is an old friend of april. while april pursued bio engineering, irma pursued software engineering. (this may change) she is an ally of the tmnt but doesn’t put herself in the front lines.

carter is an ex foot ninja. he is later introduced as a way to show how many ninja of the foot clan have become to doubt the shredder’s leadership, as it was discovered that hamato yoshi is not truly dead.

nobody is a vigilante who has a particular strong distaste with anything to do with the foot

armaggon is a bounty hunter and wannabe lord of the galaxy.

not all of these are solid. i’ll probably change up a few things!!

ALRIGHT BESTIES BUCKLE UP FOR MY MUTANT MAYHEM COMMENTARY

i will kick this off by saying that Mutant Mayhem is quite honestly one of my favorite iterations of the turtles EVER, second only to the 2012 versions.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR MUTANT MAYHEM (duh lmao)

the theme of having a family and a place to belong was established from the VERY beginning of the movie, so yeah, heartbreaking start lmao

Baxter's devotion to his children was just 😭😭

literally the best version of Splinter EVER i will not hear any arguments

I'd lay down my life for these boys in a heartbeat

the way Leo gets teased is SO perfectly how siblings tease each other, the little mocking tones and gestures is literally how my siblings and i act with each other

no bc Splinter having a history of being rejected by those around him and the boys being all he has and the one time he tries to go into a new environment it goes terribly and that's what leads him to never wanting the boys to leave 😭

but of course it's also SUCH a valid explanation for how he behaves like ofc he's going to try to keep his sons safe!!

also she has a list of questions she wants to ask the turtles, and one of the questions was "how many people has the red-banded turtle killed? does he need therapy?" and i cackled

the montage of them finding the different bosses!!!! and each turtle getting his own moment!!!

There were also so many little background things that made me emotional, like the LGBTQIA+ flyers on the school poster board, the trans flag pinned next to the flyers, the little scribbles on the lockers and April's helmet, the details were just so so perfect. there honestly wasn't a single thing i didn't love about the movie!!!

New TMNT trailer finally dropped! Hyypppeeee

The art style is really unique and the turtles look great, so does April. The style reminds me of Invader Zim a bit with the messy line art. I love how they replicate the style from the Mirage comics for some of the action scenes too!! It gives a darker tone which I hope they use for more serious scenes like the movie did.

We finally get to see more of their personalities - As good as the movie was at introducing them, seeing them in a more day to day setting will let them all stand out more. Can't wait to see more of Mikey 🧡 He's my favourite already and seems really fun and silly as he should be!!

It's interesting that Bishop is the villain for this season. I hope they let the story with Bishop get fairly dark like some of the previous versions. The turtles are mostly fighting killer robots so no Cynthia, Baxter or FootClan yet but that might be set up for S2. If Shredder does become a villain later I wonder if Bebop and Rocksteady will betray the turtles to work for him. The movie ending with mutants being accepted in society was an odd choice since there's less of a divide between them and humans now.

Guessing the turtles will be split up during a battle and each have a small character arc of their own. It doesn't show many clips from them in school which is promising. I was hoping the "turtles in high school" thing wouldn't distract from the main plot and thankfully it doesn't seem to be going that route. I'm excited to see how their friendship with April and the other humans develop though. Casey when??? I need him and Raph's friendship!!!

This new series looks really promising so far, I'm super hyped. This looks like a good start and still feels like a fresh take on the characters without making any super drastic changes like Rise did.

My Review of Mutant Mayhem

Warning: SPOILERS

The animation was AMAZING!! From the colors to the facial expressions to the fight choreography, it all looks so good!

It took me a while for me to get used to the Turtles designs and voices but after finally seeing the movie and watching them talk and move, I can say now that I do love them, though I'm still not crazy about Raph's design…

If you know me then you know I'm not too big of a fan of the idea of Splinter not being a human at all, but for this movie it makes sense as to why he was always a rat and never human. Him being a rat from the start and hating humans ties in with the movies message about being accepted and even has a little connection/parallel with the main villain Superfly. I am still kind of upset that Splinter has no connection to Hamato Yoshi (that we know of rn).

Another reason why I don’t like the idea of Splinter never being a human or Hamato Yoshi is because I feel like it takes away the ninja aspect of their story, but the way they explain why they’ve ninjas was actually hilarious. Splinter and the boys learned how to be ninjas through YouTube tutorials, which makes so much sense for this day and age with how many people claim they are experts at something simply because they read or watch something online. 

Leo was my favorite turtle in this movie, I loved his personality/character and how serious but dorky he was. He’s trying so hard, I love his hopeless romantic side, and how he wants to listen to his dad but also have fun with his brothers, so he’s stuck in a tug or war with himself. He was precious and I love him.

Leo having a crush on April actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. His crush on her was genuinely sweet and it wasn't shoved down our throats like in other versions *cough* 2012 & Bayverse *cough* I like that he asks her to prom, which I thought was very cute and a nice ending for Leo.

I'm surprised how quickly they killed off Baxter Stockman, but his "son" Superfly was a really cool villain to take his place. Ice Cube did an amazing job! But I’m not full convinced Stockman is dead. There’s no evidence that he’s still alive but knows. Maybe they’ll pull an 03 Stockman and make come back as a robot in the sequel.

The other mutants were also really fun, but I wish they had more screen time. And truth I felt like they added too many Mutants and I felt like a few of them could've been removed from the film but overall they were a fun cast!

Mondo Gecko and Mikey instantly becoming besties was nice. And I loved Bebop and Rocksteady's Bromance.

Mikey twerking was NOT needed in this film.

I like how the "milking" joke actually came full circle when the turtles were kidnapped by Cynthia.

Splinter vs the TCRI soldiers was my second favorite part of the movie, The animation was so well done in the choreography of the fight was amazing and had great detail.

My overall favorite part was the sequence of the Turtles confronting each one of Superfly’s leads. How the scene would sync up and cut back-and-forth to each brother fighting different gang members. The music during the scene was so well done and the animation with how it tied in with each brother was peak cinema. 

April’s little arc of getting over being camera shy was cool and actually helped save the Turtles and NYC. But the April puking joke went on for too long. The fact they showed it longer than I excepted felt wrong.

I’m happy that Splinter got a girlfriend by the end but please don’t ever show us him making out with Scumbug ever again. *flashbacks to 2012 Raph making out with an ant*

My favorite joke was when the Turtles were like “Eventually Superfly will run out of cars to throw at us, right??” *Superfly turns to see he’s right new to a parking garage* LMFAO XD

There was a lot of modern day references and slang in this movie and a lot of people say this movie is gonna be outdated in 5-10 years but I feel that’s gonna be part of the movies charm. We’ll have to see in 5-10 years…

Superfly’s mutant army (Mondo Gecko, Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead etc) got redeemed way too quick. All it took was one heartfelt speech and suddenly they weren’t down to kill all humans. Like they seemed really excited about it during the bowling scene?? Gave me Shrek 3 vibes. I was confident that Mondo Gecko was gonna change but all of them was unexpected but I’m happy regardless by the end that the Turtles have a bigger family.

I loved the sequence of the people of New York helping the Turtles and their mutant friends stop Superfly. I feel we’ve never seen that done before and in truth, New Yorkers ramming their cars into a giant kaiju Superfly IS something New Yorkers would do! XD

The ending I did not expect, the Turtles actually being excepted by all of New York, and actually getting to go to high school. This was so new and fresh, and I absolutely loved it and I can't wait to see more of it in the TV show and the sequel.

Also there’s a mid credit scene.

It starts off very cute with the Turtles doing high school shenanigans: Mikey in joining improv, Donnie with his “people” (lol), Raph joining the wrestling team, Leo and April starting a conspiracy vlog, and finally them at prom, but then it cuts to Cynthia, who it’s revealed she is secretly watching them. She talks to her second in command about wanting to catch the Turtles and get revenge. She then basically says that she “knows a guy” that can help and it cuts to a shot of someone outside the city….

The comments you got did say quite a lot already, so it was a little difficult, but I do know just a couple little details.

(This will be the shortest paragraph) 1987 Krang is a singular entity who is on Earth and partners with the Shredder. ('Partners' is more way than one, because their dynamic is reminiscent of an old married couple and they have multiple very gay moments too). Krang makes weird frog-esc croaking sounds while speaking, and controls a suit that looks like Captain Underpants, aka a bald dad bod baby. This version has the ability to enlarge both himself and his suit. The ship that he and the Shredder use is the Technodrome, which is on wheels and shoots lasers that destroy land. They hang out underground. They also have Bebop and Rocksteady as their sort of henchmen. The 1987 Krang constantly talks about how he has legions and armies of superior warriors in Dimension X where he came from, but I'm pretty sure we never really see them.

The Utrom (aka the 2003 Krang) focused on intelligence. They were an interstellar species from galaxies away that can live for eons and arrived on Earth in feudal Japan with their ship, proceeding to get stuck there for the next few centuries as they were too advanced for Earth's tech. They were fairly amicable to the humans there, but they find them disgusting. After being in physical contact with a human, even when in their metal suits (they wear metal suits that look like humans, much like the Krang Shredder's Oroku Saki suit) they go and get decontaminated in their HQ. It can be assumed they are like this to all life, or at least all life deemed below them in intellect, as we were shown their decontamination chambers and such in the modern day. Without their suits, they wear these metal disks that let them however, like the 2012 Krang, and when leaving their ship or metal suits, they tend to wear a glass dome, probably for protection against the Earth's environment. Unlike 2012, every Krang is their own person. The krang do however still have a leader, known as Mortu (they have their own names, but Mortu and The Shredder (Ch'rell) are the only ones we learn). They do not have a Dimension X or any equivalent, and are the only ones to be from this world as well as good guys (though they are assumed to be villains at first, and are misunderstood. They actually worked with Splinter's owner before he died, as this Splinter was the rat of a ninja).

The 2012 Krang are a hivemind, as is well known. However, they still have their own personalities, which usually minorly shines through in certain dialogues. They tend to speak very oddly and literally ('The Krang is the one who will be doing the kicking of the butt to the ones known as the turtles' is something they would say). However, they can still learn to speak normally, as proven by Krang Subprime, Krang Prime and the Utrom. The Utrom in 2012 is the original in that universe, who were taken over by the og Krang (Krang Prime) to become a hivemind which they weren't before. They are now a rebel group, who can all speak English properly and all tend to wear metal suits that look like humans. Bishop in the sort of leader of the Utrom here, unlike 2003 (2k3 Bishop was a villain who hated aliens). His suit is the one that the Krang copied and mass-produced, aka the men with slicked back hair and all black suits throughout 2012. The difference is that he usually wears shades. The krang tried to take over Earth since the dinosaurs were on it, and kept failing everytime. In this universe, they are the cause of humans, having mutated apes into them with prior ooze while trying to turn them into Krang to overtake the planet. This Krang also has a rivalry of sorts with the triceratons, who are triceratop based aliens who love violence. They've had many wars in the past.

I know it's easy to compare 2012 TMNT to Prime but from what you've said, they're an interesting study in contrasts because I can see a lot of the same "too much of a fan of the source material" problems in them plus yunno, treatment of women, but at the very least, 2012 does do interesting things with regards to combining ideas that were 1987 original and things that were done in 2003's more Mirage-faithful style. I like Slash as a silent solo hero turned leader of the Mutanimals more than his dumb brute style in the OG show. I think the Splinter/Shredder backstory does a good job of taking the tragedy of the 03 version and making it more personal to Splinter by having him be alive. Bebop and Rocksteady are a little more fun when they have different styles of being dumb mistake-makers. Of course, this doesn't overwrite how bad April is treated or any of the other flaws, but at least it's taking things that existed and trying new spins on them.

Plus the visual style's more compelling with the anime-isms and not being indebted to Bay's visual style because his movies came after the show started, not before, and the only real things they take are the elevator joke and that one bit where Mikey goes "I really did meet Megan Fox on that rooftop, yo!" which are tiny enough that they're almost cute.

Godddd yeah the way I’m glad the show came out before the movies for that. Could you imagine if they tried to make the turtles look similar to the movies ones? Nightmare fuel.

12 is interesting cuz I’ve had so many thoughts for so long that I would need to separate from each other to be specific, cuz half of me is like “yes it’s a love letter to 87 and 03, a beautiful marriage of two ideas and playing homage to things” but then the other half remembers the showrunner didnt care for any of that legacy characters at all and you can tell when you think of stuff like. idk IRMA.

but while the april thing is bad like ive said before, it doesnt make the show as a whole bad. things can have flaws and still be good its never a case of thing good or thing bad to me.

but yeah watching prime and comparing it to that its like. no 2012 is a cartoon that isnt afraid of being a cartoon its not trying to be a movie. i have some more appreciation for that as a concept, cuz i didnt think id have to be worried about that before lmao

My first impression: “oh look, new iteration of TMNT. Probably won't get too attached to it, but I'll still watch the film :) Raph looks cool.”

My impression now: ... Where do I even fucking start? This is, without a doubt, my favorite version of Raphael for SOOO many reasons. As much as I love (and I mean fucking love) joking about his anger issues and violence, the number 1 thing I love about Raph is how he canonically never uses violence against his brothers and instead chooses to channel all that anger into his enemies. It's subtle but you can just see how much Raph hates the thought of being a monster; his face dropping when his brother said “Sure he's a big angry monster but he saved the city" PAINS ME EVERYTIME... and the way he clearly wanted them to stop talking about it?? Another thing I really love about Raph specifically is the parallel him and Splinter's dynamic have with Bebop Rocksteady and Superfly's. Something something "This guys been making me angry my entire life! I think he's the reason we're so angry!" IT FUCKS ME UP EVERYTIME. EVERY GODDAMN TIME. AND THE WAY HE LOVES AND CARES FOR HIS BROTHERS HOLY SHIT!!!!!! HE LOVES THOSE GUYS SO MUCH AND EVEN TOOK A MOMENT TO SAY HE WAS GLAD THEIR FACES WERE THE LAST ONES HE'D GET TO SEE BEFORE HE DIED!!!!! RAPHAEL I LOVE YOU

I have so many scenes of his I love how do you expect me to choose only one????? I'm just listing this off because that was the only food I had for months while waiting for the movie to come out.

Favorite interaction that character has with another: I'mmm insanely bias towards Leo and Raph interactions. “What the heck man? I said go left!" "I GOT HIM 😡😡😡" and also when Raph said "Wait April are you puke girl? 😆😲" And Leo's ass was fucking growling at him basically saying don't talk to my girl that way, despite the fact he made fun of her first. what is wrong with these boys. The twins ever.... To me.

A character I wish that character would interact with more: I would love 1929299 interactions of Raph with all of his brothers that would be very nice. Aside from his brothers, I think him and April's duo would be hilarious.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of them: SUSIE DELTARUNE.

A headcanon about that character: He was called Raphie when he was younger by his family until he grew out of that name. They still sometimes call him Raphie just to make him mad and/or tease him.

80s Shredder Retirement AU Recap:

- To partially fulfill his initial dreams of being an writer, Saki works as an editor in a scientific journal for villains.

- He actually doesn't really need a job - he's rich because he gets royalties whenever they use the Shredder character in movies or comics. He works out of boredom.

- He has a kid with this AU's version of Kitsune named "Mitsune Keiko." (See post here)

- Things are rocky between him and Kitsune - they live separately but won't get a divorce because they still love each other deep down.

- Him and Krang are "officially divorced" after an incident happens where Saki was sent back to earth from Dimension X and Krang wasn't. Saki wonders how he's doing every once in a while and hopes he's doing well, but for the most part is glad to be rid of him.

- Saki and Karai (7 years old in this AU) live in Palm Springs and own a pet lizard and snake. - Saki openly and vehemently resents children - except for Karai who he dotes on and spoils often. - Karai is still evil and considering her mix of genetics, will probably go to Juvie at least once before the 5th grade.

- Along with Saki, the main cast of the 80s show eventually move on to focus on independent careers (and I have a separate working story for each of them but we’ll get to that later ;) ) The Turtles move out to pursue their own different passions, April becomes an undercover investigative reporter, and Splinter becomes a detective for hire. Bebop does dance and Rocksteady works as an attorney.

- Saki retired from being the Shredder for a mix of many reasons (Karai's birth, Krang's absence, his relationship with Kitsune, the Turtles growing up and going solo, etc.) but mostly because he realizes that the world is outgrowing him and that he can't keep the gig up forever when his life is changing too.

AMERICAN GIRL OF THE YEAR 2006 JESS MCCONNELL!!!! Y'all. She is my babygirl. 10 year old me's blorbo from my catalogs. I have dreamed of holding this doll in my arms for seventeen years. I remember in her debut catalog, I opened the first page and was captivated by her. I remember thinking she had the cutest face sculpt, and she may or may not be the reason I continue to obsess over pink and orange as a color combination. I can't wait to get her actual outfits and dress her up, and get her books and get to know her as a character. Ever since I started collecting AG dolls (thanks to the doll show this time last year), I've been on the lookout for her, but I had yet to come across one in my preferred price range. Little did I know she'd be waiting for me to find in person!

So yeah! I'm feeling so satisfied and can't wait to get these guys all fixed up and find them a place among my collection! If you read all this, thank you and I love you <3

So This past Tuesday we went to see the new Ninja Turtles we were originally suppose to go see Oppenheimer but plans changed last minute so we ended up going to see Ninja Turtles. I was very interested in this movie and followed it production. Much like Transformers I'm a life long Turtles fan so I was curious about it being I think Turtles stuff should look a certain way and somethings that have been done in recent years such as Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I didn't like. I never watched an episode but I just think the character designs look like shit and I wasn't going to watch it becasue of that anyway on as for this movie I needed to see the character designs for this movie before I would do anything and happy to say I did like these designs but more on that below. Also yes there was some collectable goodies for this movie too which you can see here!

Now as for this movie. I thought it was great! I would have to say that I did enjoy it it was fun and funny at times and I do feel it has a nice message about family and acceptance and finding a place where you feel like you belong in the world.

Now this is a bit of a origin story and tries to reintroduce the turtles to a new and modern audiences. They are younger in this movie then they usually are in other forms of media the turtles are all 15 years old and not only that but April is also in her teens in this as well she is also around 15 and is still in High School in this movie

The Turtles origin is of course slightly different in this one. It is close to the familiar way the Turtles become mutants but its slightly changed as in how they became Ninjas. Also the origins of the other Mutant characters in this is changed as well. I think that did that just for the sake of the story and it does work in the context of this movies story.

As for the designs of the characters which as I mentioned was a very important thing I felt that the Turtle designs in this were actually very good they were different and did match the ages that the Turtles were shown as they were young and child like almost playing up the "Teenage" aspect of who they are. Some of the other characters looked great too like Bebop and Rocksteady and I love how they brought in various characters from Turtles lore like Leatherhead,Mondo Gecko, Wingnut (what no screwloose??), Genghis Frog, Ray Fillet, and more. Where its great that alot of these classic character appear on screen many of them don't look like their source material counterparts which is kind of a shame.

Now also another thing is the whole new April in this. She was alright for this she was written well and well voice acted and an interesting character in how she is presented. Now I could have done with out the whole puking stuff which was just a bit gross but also I know alot of people complained about her appearance and I can't say I would complain about it myself but I am a bit more old school and do prefer the more classic April with the short red hair and yellow track suit lol but this April was fine for this version of the characters.

Now like I said the movie is pretty great it was a lil bit funny and a lil bit weird but like I said it also nice message about family and acceptance and finding a place where you feel like you belong in the world. The animation was very nice and smooth and the artistic style of the movie where it all looks like it is sketched and painted to have that more comic book look and feel kinda reminded me of how the Spider-Verse movies look. but the voice acting and the music as well as the many references are really nicely done.

I feel the ending of the movie tho is a bit strange where they took it but over all I thought it was great and if you are a Turtle fan then I would probably recommend it.

also there is a mid credit sequence that is interesting and kinda sets up a possible sequel.

i love the teenage mutant ninja turtles so much they are so fucking cool like it's literally awesome like four turtles that are teenagers and mutants and ninjas and one of them is cool but rude and one is a party dude and there is that cool vanilla ice song and they all have different cool weapons like swords and shit it's literally so awesome and there are so many different versions of the ninja turtles and its so cool to see the differences between them all and the different aspects of them all and how the lore changes with each version its so fucking cool and the krang are literally like octopus aliens that live in robot suits thats so fucking cool and there are bebop and rocksteady like dude a warthog and a hippo running around doing crimes together and they are friends and shit its so cool and they have different coloured bandanas and they love pizza which is cool because pizza is good and everybody likes pizza im lactose intolerant and is still like pizza it's literally crazy and the technodrome is like a giant sphere that comes out of the ground and stuff and there is a turtle blimp and a turtle van and the turtles dad is a rat like thats literally crazy its so cool i kinda wanna play the uncharted games again those games are good i should play them again tom holland was a bad choice as nathan drake and mark wahlberg was a bad choice as sully holy fucking shit i love the teenage mutant ninja turtles there is casey jones and he is a guy who beats people up with a hockey stick that is so fucking cool but i didn't like when steven amell played casey jones i dont like steven amell and he doesn't support striking so he is a bad dude those micheal bay ninja turtles movies suck steaming horse shit the shredder suit is so over designed in the first movie its so ugly like what the hell and splinter is so ugly in that movie two and will arnett is in it and i like will arnett but he is so boring in that movie god the second micheal bay movie is a bit better though its still not great but the turtle designs are better and splinter looks less freaky and will arnett is in it less. will arnett was really good as lego batman i think that the lego batman movie is probably the best batman movie its crazy how there are like different people from different places and they are kinda different like some people have accents and the people who i consider to have an accent thinks i have an accent and they dont have accent its crazy like why is it that people from scotland sound different than people from canada yet they speak the same language it is crazy and doesn't make any sense also the police kill 10,000 dogs a year and i reckon that is bad because dogs are pretty cool and police are bad and stuff yeah i think i will play the first three uncharted games i have them all on one disc but i dont have the forth one i think those games are fun i havent been playing a lot of shooter games lately i quit fortnite a while ago because i was spending all my money on it i have red dead and 2 and there is shooting in that game but it is kinda boring and the shooting is weird i wanna play the doom remake from 2016 but i wonder if that will feel different because it is shooting aliens and monsters from hell and stuff and not humans i should play the last of us 2 again that game is so good i have played through it like 3 or 4 times the story is great and i love how they portray innocence and guilt and revenge it is so compelling i also think that the story in the 2nd uncharted game kinda sucks it is mostly just chloe being like "i betrayed you wait im a double agent no im betraying you again but actually the bad guy made me betray and i actually think you are great and i am in love with you nathan drake" i like the teenage mutant ninja turtles a lot i think the toys are cool and its also cool how it started as a parody of daredevil that doesnt really get talked about anymore i also like how kevin eastman and peter laird who are the creators of the ninja turtles get a cameo in like every new version of the ninja turtles its cool

Shredder & B-001: These two have the same constantly quiet brooding vibe tbh x3 it could be just a one-off thread, inserted in the verse we have with Rick and Morty. One of those scenes where the character is drinking at a bar and the bartender plays the role of the unofficial counselor. It could be interesting!

Bebop and Rocksteady & AR: These three would be chaos incarnate together, I swear xD AR is a whirlwind and he'd drag the manchildren along whether they like it or not. Plus, he'd be nicer to them than Rick is, and very much open to more fun / "let's just blow shit up" activities for the sake of it xD

Bishop & SR: If someone can understand Bishop's frustration with his job and charges, that's SR. He's a guard, which means that they work in similar fields, and he constantly has to deal with messes other versions of him cause. Plus, he's AR's best friend and AR is as chaotic with him as Rick is with Bishop xD they could definitely sympathise with each other. They are also similar personality wise, since SR is much more serious and calm than your average Rick, and he has a strong sense of duty. I think they could make real good friends! Maybe even something more x3

Jerry with Morty & Summer: there aren't many episodes with Jerry and the kids, and it's a pity! I'd love to explore their relationship. Plus, it's not fair that Rick is the only one who gets to torment Jerry u-u

T'Ana & Summer: I'll say just one thing. Imagine the level of sass xD I'm gonna send the meme you asked for in the starter call for these two, because I think that it would be lots of fun xD

Ania & Morty: I think that they would get along pretty well. Morty is naturally curious and I can see him getting interested in Ania's research on plants and insects. Plus, she has a much calmer vibe than Rick and I think that would be appreciated! I can imagine them scouting new planets for lifeforms and the likes!

Grum & Morty: Similar to Ania, but with a more mentor-y vibe? Since Grum likes to work in peace on his stuff, I think that he might actually teach Morty stuff properly, once he realises just how much the kid has picked up from Rick without even knowing. Plus, I'd just love for Morty to have a proper mentor figure who can recognise the skills he has acquired

13. This is by far TMNT’s best take on the Mighty Mutanimals. They have their own characterizations and goals, and fun dynamic with one another, as well as their relationship/alliances with the turtles is well done. 

14. As I mentioned, I love their dedication to adding classic characters, but I also love their creativity with these brand new characters. Tiger Claw, Fishface, Chris Bradford, Newtralizer, Shinigami, Sal Commander, and so many more are new original characters made for this series that are now apart of the TMNT roster, instantly becoming fan favorites, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are brought in to newer versions of the franchise in the future.

15. SPIKE, ICE CREAM KITTY, DR CLUCKINGSWORTH, AND CHOMPY, MY BELOVEDS!! The Turtles having multiple pets throughout the series was so cute

16. Casting Greg Cipes as Mikey and having his love interest, Renet, be voiced by Ashley Johnson was *chefs kiss*. Those two have been cartoon boyfriend and girlfriend for years!

17. Bebop and Rocksteady were overall such a treat, and they always made me smile when they were on screen. Also they were in love

18. With bringing in some of the old classic characters, I love their take on a couple of them. For example, I love how they switched Mona Lisa from instead of being another mutant they made her an alien. I honestly now prefer that instead of her just being another mutant that can get lost in the crowd, her being an alien makes her stand out. Also doing a twist on Karai, not just being splinter’s daughter, but also turning her into a snake mutant that she can change at will. Or the Kraang and Utrom being the same alien race, with the Kraang being brainwashed Utrom.

19. Shredder was a good villain and I think he is the most evil of all the Shredders. It’s like the most insane episode of Maury mix with how petty can this man get and it’s so entertaining to watch. Also, Kevin Michael Richardson did a fantastic job as his voice actor!

Did season 5 even have a finale? From how messy and mushed up it was and how the episodes released out of order it was hard to figure out what was and what wasn't cannon at all. Especially from the stuff some have said or talked about how some arcs are left for the fans to decided or whatever. The main problem for season 5 is because when season 4 was over Nickelodeon cancelled it for being too dark and wanted to rebrand immediately. The show was supposed to have more seasons but because it got cancelled the writers had to unfortunately smash everything together before the show ended which explains why season 5 kind of sucks and a big jumble of mess.

I wanna clarify that the supposed reason for why Nickelodeon ended TMNT 2012 is because of low toy sales, not because it was “too dark” considering they allowed shows like Invader Zim and ATLA to be under their name despite the dark and graphic themes they had in their shows.

You are right, they did have 13 more episodes planned, one actually being about the Dream Beavers returning and Raph and Casey team up to take them down, but due to Nickelodeon rushing production and supposedly wanting to start fresh with new toys to sell (money, the answer is always money), the 13 eps were cut and the final season was turned into short story arcs instead of it being a continuations season like the others. But in the end, I think 5 seasons where always planned from the start, they just didn’t have time to do the 5th season any justice.

Btw I’m not saying Rottmnt is to blame, it’s not, Nickelodeon has been fucking over ALL versions of TMNT that they own since they bought the franchise. I mean, they’ve made FOUR tmnt iterations in under a decade. Why? Answer, MONEY!

Now, to my knowledge the original plan for S5 was for it to end with Mutant Apocalypse, that was supposed to be the finale considering how that arc ended with a thank you to the creators of the franchise, but Nickelodeon apparently didn’t like how depressing it was so they rearranged the arc orders in what would air first on TV so Wanted: Bebop & Rocksteady became the show’s official “series finale” and instead said Mutant Apocalypse was one of many “alternate futures”, which is something I’ll accept as canon cause I HATED Mutant Apocalypse.

I remember Nick had this racing event going on that they were airing on their channel during commercials, so they made Mutant Apocalypse be the eps airing during that event since they also had a racing theme going on in those arcs cause MA is supposed to be a Mad Max Fury Road parody (so fucking stupid). That was their way of rearranging the arcs without suspicion from fans.
