tbh I think my new answer any time someone calls americans dumb for using imperial or fahrenheit is going to be “okay, what do you want us to do about it tho? ask our government to change it?? our government??? the one that just had one major branch freeze entirely because after like three straight days they couldn’t decide something as basic as who’s in charge???? that government?????”

#like do you all want us to just take it upon ourselves to start only using metric??#we'd still have to learn imperial anyway because the rest of the country uses it #so like at this point it doesn't matter which is better we are stuck like this #seems weird to call us all dumb based on a decision that is completely out of our control #plus scientists here already all use metric and celsius #so this isn't really a problem like it doesn't matter #and hell we don't even use miles!!#90% of us judge large distances by how long it takes to drive across them dlkfjdlk #how far away from tucson is phx?? idk man about 3 hours give or take
