rensuke kunigami once believed in soulmates. it was back before he entered the blue lock program, when he'd still had a positive outlook on life, a sense of self. when everything hadn't been warped by the wild card training.

but kunigami does not believe in soulmates now, as he stares down at you, outside the coffee shop, as you visually trace the red string from your hand, to his.

"we're... soulmates," you utter, stupefied. there is a sort of wonder in your eyes, one that reminds him of himself, from what feels like aeons ago.

he stares you down, expressionless. "i don't believe in those. can you move, i gotta go."

"c'mon," you whine, drawing out he word. it's not fair. you've waited for this all your life just for your soulmate to not want to be your soulmate. that day, you leave with his number.

he's gruff, standoffish, never quite rude, but it's almost obvious that you're not wanted. you stay persistent, meeting him every now and then. he's not sure when you become such an important part of his life, and he's not sure when he begins to look forward to seeing you again either — not that he shows it, of course.

and the same way he tells you nothing of how he feels, you stay silent too. you don't tell him how your confidence breaks down each time, and how you're slowly losing hope. it gets to the point where one day, you realise you can't maintain this seemingly one-sided relationship anymore.

"i can't do this anymore," you tell him sadly, and for the first time in the entirety of the time you've known him, kunigami shows some semblance of emotion. his brows lift up in surprise, eyes widened. "what? do what anymore?"

"this— me trying to maintain any sort of relationship with you, when you don't even care!"

"but i do care!" he responds, confused.

"what?" now you're confused.

the depth of the situation has finally started to sink in for him. you're leaving. and you have every right to, because he's been a shitty soulmate, and a shitty person in general. what does he do? what does he say?

"i—"

you're backing away.

"i can't lose you," he says.

communication is a weird thing.

"let's talk," he pleads. "just one time, let me try to fix it. just once, y/n, please."

the first two words are enough to make you relent; the rest of them just lessen any regret you're feeling for having done so. for the first time, he talks — really talks — to you. for the first time, he holds your hand.

the two of you sit at a bench, and you note that today he's sat closer to you than ever before, shoulder-to-shoulder. even now, his warmth comforts you, and you have to consciously restrain yourself from leaning into him.

"y/n," he says, breaking the silence. "i think, no, i don't know. i, i'm sorry, i've been horrible."

"you have," you agree, and he squeezes your hand.

"i care about you. a lot."

"well, that definitely showed," you say sarcastically, but your hand stays in his. it's comfortable like that. he moves your connected hands onto his laptop, shifting uncomfortably.

"i'm not... good at any of this. i don't know when you started to matter, y/n."

"what do you mean, matter?" something like anger sparks within you.

"i'd stopped believing in soulmates by the time we met," he explains. "but somewhere along the way, oh, i don't know, i'm in love with you."

your anger dissipates immediately as you spring away from him, staring up with the same expression as the one that'd been on your face when he first saw you. he presses his lips to your knuckles reverently, before both his hands coming up to cup your face tenderly. he's not trying to kiss you or anything, he just wants to make you understand.

"i still don't believe in soulmates," he says. "but i believe in you, and i want you to believe in us. i'll spend the rest of my life trying, if you'll let me."

you love his hands. you love his face. you love the way he holds you, so gentle, with hands that could probably kill, if he wanted. you hear a hushed whisper of your name, a plea for you to answer.

"i— i don't know, rensuke."

"i know i fucked it up, please, i'll do anything, just can't lose you."

maybe it's some sort of link between soulmates. maybe it's the slight tremor in his voice, or the way that you have come to know him, not through and through, but enough to know when he's being genuine. maybe it's a combination of all three.

your expression softens, a sly smile creeping onto your face. "anything?"

he perks up immediately, eyes widening. "anything."

"kiss me, stupid."

Cult of the Goat rambling

Came up with some lore ideas, gonna put it here til Im able to draw it out!

Also mixing up with @lenorblr 's idea of the Old Gods still being around! (bless u again for sharing this with me <3 )

So, as Ive estabilished before, this universe is like a Fell version of COTL to me But how do we make an universe already quite spooky edgier? By alterning the GOOD things that happened in it What if those things did not happen?

Yk how Shamura was the one responsible for showing a world of wisdom to Narinder, until he carried on with it greedily and got punished for it? What if Shamura was the one on board with it but not Narinder? Given that the morals are reversed here, I think Narinder would be the kindest out of all the other Bishops, meaning that hed probably be the one to empathize and be able to recognize recklessness the best Shamura got all the Bishops on their side, but once Narinder expressed disdain for where their plans were going, they all sealed him away into his own domain

Since the Old Gods would still be around, the Bishops would be at constant war with them while trying to maintain their power over their own Lands (I like to think that since these are Gods we are talking about, itd be a bigass territorial and devotional conflict) So naturally, the world got much gloomier and dangerous than usual, the monsters became more terrifying and the biomes grew more traitorous, it is incredibly hard to survive in this world if u are not within the Bishops' domain/kingdom walls. Anyone outside of it cannot be trusted

NOW WHERE DOES THE GOAT COME IN THIS: Instead of being sacrificed in order to appease Narinder, the goats are sacrificed in order to empower the Bishops, which have been looking for ways to become stronger to face the Gods, so naturally these species quickly came to extinction until The Goat was the only one left

When they were executed, just as originally, their soul was transported to Narinders domain, and there they became his vessel

ALAS and however, instead of intending to free himself for the sake of power, Narinder wishes to be free in order to stop his siblings since he is the only one who can. So in order to do that, he makes the Goat his vessel and asks for a cult to be started in his name; the more devotion, the more powerful he grows, until inevitably the Goat has to lay down their own life

Now les say u could choose whether ud want to or not: If you lay down your life, the Goat is murdered and Narinder is fred, therefore implying he escapes his prison and went on to battle against his siblings As an extra, if this were to be game-esque, I imagine a post or pre-credits scene where the Goat can be seen walking into the afterlife with all the others of their kind welcoming them in

If you don’t lay down your life, the Goat offers themselves to become Narinder’s literal vessel. They would go back to the world of the living while possessed by Narinders aura, and thats how theyd beat the Bishops all at once

Once the battle is over, Narinder projects himself out as their shadow and expresses how reckless but brave they were, also pointing out that he is rather impressed by how resistent of a vessel they ended up being Narinder then warns about now being trapped inside of the Goats body and that they have consequently made themselves the new God of Death, given that they now possess Narinders powers. The Goat accepts such fate and is allowed to continue as a cult leader

So in the end, we have a Gods Vessel with their divine living inside their mind and body, both holding custody of the Crowns power like a single person And still having to face the Old Gods but thats for later brainstormi-

Eventually I think if there were to be a Mystic Seller, they would be responsible for freeing Narinder from the Goats body and giving him a mortal carcass. Before it was done tho, the MS wouldve likely warned both about their powers: Narinder would have to be reborn as a mortal in order to be his own person again, since the Crown cannot sit upon 2 brows, unless the Goat would be willing to sacrifice themselves which- hm. I think if this was once again in a game-style - before the options would show up to us - Narinder would interrupt to say he agrees with his condition Honestly I think he would be pretty chill with that LMAO just like “welp Ive done my part already, now its time to retire”, or be like “you wear the Crown well, u should keep it” @ the Goat, so he is revived and made into a follower with no personal problems

IK SOME OF THESE THINGS STILL DONT MATCH Ill likely play around with these ideas and doodle it out to test waters, BUT YEAH thats my interpretations thus far x’D

What is the method of layering clay and then carving out designs in the different coloured clay? I find it really interesting, tbh

Where does the process start? Do you like, start with a sketch? Or with like an “I want to make a cute creature.” Sorta vibe?

And uh, what kinds of glaze do you use? Any tips?

Hey, @drgalacticcandy! This ask (which please, never apologize for sending an ask! I love them!! Also thank you for your kind words about my work!) came at a perfect time because your first Q is answered by another ask I just responded to in great depth!

The technique where I carve out designs is called sgraffito & I just wrote a small novella about the technique here!

In terms of the creative process, it depends on the creature! Almost all of them need some sort of photo-reference at some point, especially the ones I want to look more like an actual creature that exists (eg. my bird ladies, the pod guys).

For things like the sphinxes and the ungulates, I did peek at some photo reference at the very start (looked at some cats for sphinx anatomy & lots of musk oxen & goats for the ungulates), but am now just going off of what's goopin' around in my brain. I do sometimes still do sketches for the designs I make a lot, especially when I want to do a new body shape, eg. this flying guy.

I did quite a few sketches for the Puffin BirdLady because I'd hardly even drawn puffins before, let alone sculpted one, but other birds I'm more familiar with (loons, ravens/crows) I just keep some photo ref up on my laptop in case I need to check a detail & go straight to sculpting.

Some of the simpler beasts I just go ahead and sculpt without any drawings, eg. the snats/slats (snailcats/slugcats) & the owlbears (tho I did look at a bunch of owl-face photo ref to inspire their patterns!):

I do find sketching especially useful for creatures that require some new engineering, eg. the sphinx dishes or fishbutts in new positions, as doing the drawings helps me work out how the various bits will attach together or what issues I might come up against while trying to sculpt a new pose.

And glazes...whew! I'm still SUCH a glaze newbie & really don't know anything about them yet. My usual tendency when encountering a new art adventure is to just dive in headfirst with minimal research and GO, which is mayyyyybe not the best with glazes??

And yet I still just see a pretty glaze and go OH HI I AM BUYING U NOW (with one caveat -- I always read the description and if it's described as a runny/difficult to use glaze I drop it and run because my sculptures are wee and I don't want any glaze floods in the kiln!).

I'm also lucky to have a really great kiln tech in my friend who fires my stuff who does actually know more about the chemistry of glazes, so sometimes I pass my flights of fancy by her to make sure I'm not doing anything silly. In terms of glaze brands, I love Amaco & Coyote, both of whom make plenty of beautiful glazes that are also easy to use.

For my sgraffito work, when I'm not glazing with clear glaze I put a variety of colours of celadon glaze overtop (most of mine are Coytoe brand). Celadons are translucent, so patterns will show through them - you can also do designs in underglaze and put a celadon glaze overtop & get some neat effects - below are some examples of celadons over sgraffito...

I know the glaze portion of this answer wasn't the most helpful, but there are definitely lots of forums & websites that contain loads of great info about all the alchemical intricacies of glazes! If you can befriend some potters IRL, that can also be an amazing resource for learning.

Back by popular demand, it’s the lords lees in black! You’ve heard of tickle monsters, now get ready for tickled monsters! Again, this got p long so gonna put it under the cut

All the libs blush their respective colors

Based off the doll designs, all of their tummies are fuzzy & a different color than the rest of their fur, so they’re all pretty ticklish there, some more than others 😉

Pokey

He’s one of the more fun & “chill” lords, so it’s not much of a surprise that he just kinda rolls over & lets his bros wreck his shit

He thinks it’s fun & enjoys the feeling itself as well as the feeling of laughing freely

He has deep, rich laugh that sounds like pure joy itself. If you get him really laughing it can legit shake the room

Because the hivemind is tuned in to him, they know exactly when he’s in a lee mood. They coordinate their attack & take turns tickling him & he lets it happen because he promised them happiness & world peace & if this is what they wanna do he won’t stop them!

His most ticklish spots are his neck & belly because those muscles are most associated with singing (vocal cords & diaphragm) & ribs since they cage the lungs. Oh, & ears. I may be tickle trash, but I try to have some kind of reasoning behind why I headcanon characters as being ticklish certain places

I think Tinky & Wiggly are the ones who tickle him the most because they both have bully energy

Blinky

Funny how they just love watching other people get their shit wrecked but when it’s HIS turn he’s covering his face out of embarrassment

Arguably the most flustered, but Wiggly gives him a run for his money, he’s just more angy about it

Absolutely no idea why, but I’m getting ticklish hands vibes. Probably the long sleeves over the hands

Watcher with a thousand eyes=eyes in the back of his head=ticklish scalp? 👀👀👀

Has a really cute high pitched giggle that’s very bubbly

The shiny leggings & boots draw a lot of attention to the lower body, & it makes me think his worst spots are his hips, knees & feet. & the baggy hoodie makes me feel like his armpits are also up there

Tinky

This unhinged goatman constantly has to be put in his place by his brothers & tickling is the best (& easiest) way to do so

He absolutely provokes them to wreck his shit because he thinks it’s so much fun & he loves to laugh & be silly & make. & he always feels so proud of himself to dragging the rest of them down to “his level” but then they immediately make him regret it… then he does it again an hour later

Very open about how much he loves it, but still gets embarrassed when his brothers tease him about it

He has hooves instead of feet, & if you were to try to buff them up or polish them he’d be such a giggly snorting mess

He has a shrill, hysterical cackle like how he laughs in The Summoning

He has a lil goat tail & if you scratch at the small of his back he arches away with the loudest screech you’ve ever heard

His most ticklish spots are his ears/neck, thighs & knees, & hooves if you use a rough enough touch

His ears are super soft & velvety & if you rub them between your fingers he can’t stop snorting between giggles

Tickling makes him so hyper & excited & his bros have to work extra hard to tide him out

Nibbly

Besides Tinky, he is the happiest & most playful of the lib & always has that classic wide grin plastered on his face. & he has a bright, joyous laugh to match!

Because he has such a big mouth, his laugh is really loud & bombastic. He also has a really cute giggle that’s sweet as honey

Gets really flustered if you use his own techniques & teases against him

Can’t stand tickle bites or raspberries despite how much he loves to dish them out

The fluffy arm sleeves really got me thinking about how it probably tickles him on accident when he moves, especially around his armpits

Even when he’s not tickled, he’s just very giggly

Since his whole thing is eating, his tummy is one of his worst spots. Also his thighs, sides & armpits

Biggest fucking lee out of all the lib but is in such hard denial mode. The Tickle Me Wiggly doll was the first step to acceptance & he keeps trying to make excuses for why he chose the name

Keeps insisting he had to make something unassuming & innocent & all his bros are just like mmmmhmmmm 😏

Most ticklish spots are of course his belly well, ribs, feet & knees, but he’s basically a walking tickle spot

Splinter was very angry.

Leo had been the first awake that morning. He quickly washed his face and came out to the kitchen to get the breakfast packs Raph had made the night before. They’d been preparing for this trek. They knew the risks.

He’d gone to Mikey first, knowing it would take him the longest to properly wake up. He helped him out of bed and shoved the breakfast salad in his hands, making sure he was actually eating before hurrying to continue his rounds.

Raph was just pulling himself out of bed when Leo came in. They shared a look, a mutual agreement, and Leo handed him his food.

Raph went to wake Donnie.

They all ate quickly.

They gathered up their travel packs and their weapons.

Mikey ran them all through breathing exercises, helping center them to make the transition as easy as possible.

Now they were walking.

Splinter was pissed.

They didn’t know the specifics of how this arrangement came to be, but clearly their father wasn’t happy about it.

A few months back Draxum had spent the night. During that stay, he’d suggested the boys all come to visit his home in the Hidden City. Splinter had been vehemently against it at first.

Then, in the morning, Draxum had kissed them all on the head and announced loudly that he would see them on a specific date for a day of “bonding!”

Splinter was furious.

They didn’t know why Splinter didn’t just outright refuse, but they knew better than to question him when he was clearly so irritated. His tail flicked back and forth aggressively as they marched through the sewers.

They arrived at a dead end and Splinter told them to look away.

When he finally allowed them to look back the brick wall had turned to a mystical doorway into the Hidden City. He hissed for them to follow and they did, stepping into the yokai world.

They were at a bus stop. Leo lead them to the bench, all of them sitting to wait patiently for whatever would happen next.

“I don’t like bringing you boys here.” Splinter told them, “It’s just as bad as New York. You will not leave Draxum’s home and you will not wander, understood?”

“Yes, Sir.” They all chimed.

“Where is that damned goat?” Splinter scowled, looking out to the road, stepping off the curb to get a better look, “If he is not here in-“

THUMP.

“Father!”

“Hey boys!”

The turtles all stared in stunned silence as Splinter scratched the hood of Draxum’s car, groaning in pain from the force of the vehicle slamming forcibly into him. Draxum looked out the window, frowning.

“What the hell are you doing standing in the street!?”

Splinter’s head popped up, rage in his eyes.

“Well.” Raph groaned, “There goes our chances of ever doing this again.”

Ok so I played about 40 mins of baldurs gate.... hated it. Tried again because that's not enough to really know, right, put in like idk five or six more hours, no idea what tf was going on at ALL. No one will tell me what a drow is. What is a drow. I saved a child and it made the mean alien lady mad at me, so I started stealing stuff in an attempt to impress her. (this was easy for a while because of course I am a barbarian dragon and my intimidation rolls are goated as fuck) I take a statue and accidentally cause an insta-massacre, bodies fucking everywhere, carnage, death, no one makes it out alive. No idea why this happened. My boyfriend comes home and tells me about this cool mechanic I was not privy to called "going to camp" and "taking a long rest." This improves the experience somewhat. I have sex with the mean alien lady. The vampire twink is standing in the background staring at us while she tells me that in our time traveling together she once hated me but has now come to "crave my scent." She says this with virtually no prompting. I have known her for one in-game day. I say a bunch of mean nasty stuff to Gale and convince him to leave the clique because he has a death stink on him that kills everyone in the party and forces me to reload the game twice. No one on Reddit seems to know if this is an intentional mechanic or a bug. I have stress dreams about the game all night bad enough to rival those "back in school and you didn't do the homework" dreams. I come on here and my fyp is full of loving drawings of the racist cringefail goth lady that I abandoned on the road first chance I got because I hate her so so much. Ok so at first I wasn't gonna put this on tumblr and just twitter but since an interaction with an old post of @charkyzombicorn I decided to put it here to.

Explanation, I'm doing a challenge were I redraw most of the One Piece ships has humans and the first that I got was Merry.

So here she is with some headcanons:

- Her full name is Going Merry (duh) but almost everyone just call her Merry

- She is at least 20 years old and was born in Syrup Village.

- She has 6 little siblings and they are Sunny, Shiro (Shiro Mokuba I), Mary (Mini Merry II), Sharky (Shark Submerge III), Kurosai (Kurosai FR-U IV) and Brachio (Brachio Tank V). All adopted.

- She loves adventures, she can chicken out a bit at the start but she can fight and/or lie her way out if shit it the fan.

- Don't be fooled she can and will bench press you, she quite grood at hand in hand combat, using sword and staff to fight but she will demolish you in a gun fight.

- She carry a bag full of very different, like a healing kit, books, maps, snacks, dials, money and many more. She also carry her gun and a bag of mikans.

- She has a giant garden full of mikans tree at home. If you take one without asking or destroy one of the tree you're dead, you can't run, she is already pointing her gun at your head.

- Dress has a chicken ones for Halloween for her siblings, she is not embarrassed at all.

- She is friends with Red (Red Force), Baratie, Striker and Swanda (Swanda Express). Her and Foxy (Sexy Foxy) have a bit of a frenemie relationship (she humiliate him in a boxing match and let Sunny draw Foxy new blackjack). She absolutely hate Miss Love Duck, Bezan Black and Shark Superb.

- She can scream like a baby goat (one of the cutest things ever to Red).

And here is her post Enies Lobby:

- Sadly during her adventures she accumulated quite the injuries and it end when she got into an accident with some Marine ships at Enies Lobby, forcing her into an hospital bed for two month and after she need to use a wheelchair.

- Even she is stuck in a wheelchair she still like to go on adventurous or to just visit so when she go out she is usually accompanied by someone to wheel her around mostly Sunny.

- In the hospital she was mostly visit by Sunny, she give the blackjack and the strawhat to him so he can continue for her.

- Now she spend more time with her younger siblings (except Sunny) and taking care of her garden.

- She can be a bit nostalgic when she sees a old photo of her and her siblings when Sunny was shorter then her (his growth spurt was has much of a surprise to him then to her).

- She snicker everytime Sunny hit his head on the doorframes, or when he still try to hide behind her like he used to do when he was younger.

- She is undergoing walking therapy to be able to walk again, it's hard sometimes and She takes breaks but she will not give up.

- She also meet with the other "retired" ships like Oro, Moby and Rocket Man.

- She meet Polar, one of Sunny's (reluctant) friends, there and they get together sometime to gossip (they will talk shit about anyone especially Sunny).

- Even in a wheelchair she is still a goddess at using her gun.

Done, it was a bit long but i'm quite happy on how it turn out. I still have some work to do in wolrd and story building for this.

Because I was re-watching silence of the lambs earlier, and the scene came where Clarice was being stared at by all male police officers whom were not receptive to what she said, regardless of the fact she was there to do a job, let alone fbi, in addition to information purposefully being kept from her, despite being tasked to help in solving the case, I was of course reminded of what u said abt Lady T. and how the men on board the ship were not at all keen on having her with them, if not frightened of her presence due to superstition, save for Blanky and Francis being some of the few that treat her with the respect she deserves yknow.

With that being said it did make me curious as to whether or not she would b included in the meetings Sir John has with his team (Francis, Jfj, Blanky, etc) not to mention how her presence would b perceived by those at the table as it is very much something that was unprecedented at the time.

oh man it's REALLY funny you mention that movie in particular- I just watched that again recently for this Gothic Novels Seminar that I took just this past semester( and I'd be remiss to say that it didn't heavily influence a lot of the thought-work I did initially for her- among other things). And actually I did a whole essay on gothic couplings (romantic and not so much- and the lines blurred between them)- and argued why it's one of the few literary genres that affords women agency when it's written with a strictly romantic lens in mind (sorry my dear EAP, on whom I gave the lecture of my fucking life, but you don't win at this actually).

Anyway I digress- the shortest answer I can give without getting too terribly long-winded about telling all without actually writing the damn thing - is yes, she's included, but BARELY, and not given much thought despite her earned (and it was EARNED, but also HAD to be given) position. And actually, from the start it's one of the things that draws Francis and LT to each other- because actually (and this would be part of a larger essay on Crozier, had I less brain fog and more time), I see a lot of Clarice in Francis. In a very similar way, the way the anti-Irish sentiment towards him in particular manifests in the way a lot of characters treat him, is very similar to those very scenes in which Clarice is surrounded by men who dismiss and discredit her. Francis has to face a lot of the same stuff- even though we only really know with the benefit of hindsight that he was actually 100% right about what their strategy should have been, but regardless. He's dismissed by Sir John as speculative and alarmist (and a drunkard- which is another byproduct of Irish oppression under imperial rule) when he actually does have better credentials for arctic AND antarctic survival. James dismisses him as melodramatic. Hickey (as well as a good laundry list of others) don't even fully take his orders as seriously- and it could very well likely be because of this, reinforced by the dismissive attitude that his other two commanders took. And at least where my line of thought with Lady Terror is concerned... seeing someone else go through the same thing... tends to light a fire under people. Make them want to support each other in spite of potential consequences. And there are really only two other people on these ships that I feel would be able to understand that it's just the same imperialistic mindset projected onto another arbitrarily and unjustly perceived by said imperialistic mindset as lesser. One of them by direct understanding, and the other because he's a wise old goat who has seen this happen to people he adores before and understands.

3. Your favorite piece(s)?

When it comes to digital work, these come to mind ^u^ that Shizuku piece was my first attempt at putting together all the things I admired in others' styles and making something of my own! The Ena portrait was a study of ambient lighting in a photograph that I had some trouble with before I finally Got It. Both I'm super proud of!

And while I don't like it as much as the others, I decided to include that last Olivia Hussey study because it was one of those pieces that just...happened. Everything came into place (my Romeo & Juliet (1968) obsession, need to procrastinate on studying for finals, and want to draw Olivia Hussey) and I ended up with a painting I was and still am proud of!

These two are my favorite oil paintings of mine. Absymal pics, though. The left is a painting of one of Kazuha's concept photos for UNFORGIVEN, and the left is a study of this painting by Sargent (my goat).

Every time I see this Kazuha painting I am 1) proud and 2) reminded that I need to varnish it. Which I just did. Now all the inconsistencies in shine in the pure umber are totally gone THANK GOD. I love the way I painted her nose. The photo doesn't do it justice, but I think it's pretty incredible for a second oil portrait. I also love the looseness with which I painted her lips. Everything came together for this one & I am so happy with the result that it's probably my favorite thing I've ever painted.

The Sargent study was done in maybe two hours total? Rough estimate. I think I was possessed by him. I understood, like, everything about painting in some fugue state, and I ended up with this. I adore the nose, which was just a rough impression after my first session, but I cleaned it up in a short time during my second and last session. I'm so far from Sargent's skill level when it comes to capturing people but I still think I did a great job trying here.

14. What's your favorite thing about drawing? Sometimes, when I'm working on a piece, everything else quiets, and everything that matters just makes sense. Admittedly, it's harder for me to get in that zone now since it's been a while since I've dedicated my time to drawing. But I know and remember how it feels, and it's such a precious experience that I want to live it over and over again.

I also like the feeling of finishing a piece and being proud of it. That, and getting praised by my friends ^_^; I like the satisfaction of making beautiful things, what can I say ? There's this one quote about how the artist isn't the creator—rather, they're the receivier, which is exactly how I see myself. I don't create images. I give justice to them. My feelings, my visions, my love...all of this, I try to give justice to in my art, and when I'm successful, there's nothing more satisfying than that.

17. What is something you're confident about in your art? Ummm. Hard question now that I'm so rusty. Washed at age sixteen. Gun to my head, I'd say drawing eyes, painting faces, and playing with lighting. ^^

i was thinking again about one of the notes you put in the work of the kafstel shorts-about how you wrote about small sizes contrary to what people might expect to see in explicit works like this (with humiliation or whatever) and i really like that you handled it like that because it's sooo wholesome and heartwarming! i am so unhealthily obsessed with kafstel and i might be repeating myself with my other comment, but i really feel like you captured them so well and it feels so real... they were made for each other... they truly are each other's destinies and perfect for one another and it makes me so happy

your creative wonder has haunted my mind and i am so grateful for it- because it makes me feel comforted, cozy, and proud to know that someone like you exists out there. i even ended up pulling out my tablet and doing a little sketch of stelle because of you. fair warning, it is nsfw, but it's nothing detailed or over-thetop because i'm too simple. i just wanted to depict stelle with a lil peen bc i think it's adorable... I don't really advertise my tumblr as I haven't really done much with this blog yet. I only have it listed on my AO3 bio and that's it. I figured I make it a special place for those that care to see my art or potential drabbles I'd write. Also, Yanfei liker, truly goated.

To ramble on with an anecdote, I wrote Small Packages with the idea in mind of that size to show how in a loving sort of relationship, especially one destined to be, size is irrelevant to an extent. Being literally made for each other is such a lovely romantic idea. Perfect for KafStel.

I had the idea for making Stelle have small size because I noticed there wasn't any fics, art, or anything else that depicted small sizes in a positive light. At least not as much as packing major heat does. For anything that is, not just for Stelle. Even fairly middle of the road sizes don't get a lot of things made for them. I get why as it's a fantasy so going big with anything is expected. Like height, breast size, or powers, etc. It's not inherently bad and I see nothing wrong with it, I just noticed how there wasn't a lot or moderate amount of small penis fics/art/ect out there that wasn't humiliation in some way.

Nothing against humiliation play, just not my thing. At least not the more aggressive forms of it.

This goes into my creation process. When I notice there isn't a lot of something that I find interest in, I want to make it. Thusly, not a lot of small penis appreciation, not a lot of Stelle being top, not a lot of wholesome and heartwarming smut, therefore I made Small Packages. Big things come in them after all. This was the case at the time of planning and writing, that is.

Typically that's how it goes. I see a lack of something I want to see then I make it so it exists out there. Pretty much the majority of my fics and art are made because I couldn't find it elsewhere and wanted it to exist. The file name I make my art on is called "Ideas to manifest" for a reason.

Anyway, thank you for the kind words. I'm glad that you drew somethin'. Stelle has such a cute expression. Love it a whole lot. The soft linework is somethin' I struggle with so seeing it is always a treat. It looks like it feel nice to run my fingers on. As in on a sheet of paper.

I haven't a problem being associated with anything NSFW on this blog, given I write it so it's already associated with me. I have made NSFW art as it's part of how I plan my fics but never posted them. They're all super rough and not meant to be looked at that way. Like rough drafts are for the creative, not the audience.
