That's why I have a political and non-political account <3
I find it amusing when people are like "IF YOU VOTED FOR TRUMP UNFOLLOW ME NOW" and it's not because anyone is harassing them or anything, they just think they have that kind of power.
From my POV, it's like "you've made your political agenda very clear, I assure you. I'm not here to chat about/challenge your views at all. I'm here because I love your comics/art/etc and think they're neat."
I'm not walking away because you tell me I have to.
In fact, if I was debating leaving, I'm sure not now.
I'm going to sit unnoticed in my corner, reblog/like your content to my heart's desire, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
So there. Take the admiration of a Trump voter.
I'll leave when I choose to leave, thank you very much.
#hey YOU put the posts on the internet for anyone to access#that was a YOU choice not a ME one#how am I creepy from enjoying non-porn comics/art?#was that not the intent of posting them? So like, no need to post this if you don't wanna lol, it's been a bit since you talked about it but I only saw now
But Bea is so funny to me cuz. Yeah she's the Roy Mpreg comic person which like, honestly just that by itself wouldn't even be that bad, like maybe I wouldn't have her blocked if that's what she was
Hell I ended up doing stuff of similar caliber (except I didn't post it in a place where people can find it against their will <<33)
But. The fact that she ignores the teen status of so many characters is so infuriating and creepy
And as I heard about the way she harassed people and just like, making people uncomfortable in general and like
Idk, maybe if she wanted to have a better status in the fandom, she should stop liking softcore porn of papa louie minors on twitter and like, if she has that little social awareness or social capabilities, then like. Idk, check in w people if they're feeling comfortable w what she's saying, instead of like... Whatever she was doing, like- it's SO easy checking in w people and not liking softcore minor stuff on twitter, I am doing it so well!! So does many damn people in this forsaken fandom are able to do it
At least it doesn't feel like a loss to me in a way cuz I always thought her art looked kinda gross and also just like. The moment I saw her confession thingy of Roy where she basically headcanons him to be sexually harassed by old men, or just men in general, Idk, my memory isn't the best
Tho I do wanna add I don't like her art style because of the absolute non diversity of it, like she draws like 3 different shapes, bimbo boobs, femboy and slightly less femboy w abs and that's kinda boring as hell honestly, and the body types she draws like, they don't even look that good to me, each time I remember how she draws Peggy it makes me so sad and just like, damn, she deserves better
Sorry for the essay, just wanted to express my thoughts to someone cool who like, handles this stuff similarly to me
i'm glad you think i'm cool in handling this lol. tbh i just take shots at bea unprompted bc she makes it so easy (she's a fujoshi, the jokes write themselves), and she harassed me, my friends and my ex in the past so i feel i kinda deserve it.
anyway yeah she's just. weird. i actually had a long discussion about this with someone in dms recently, but everything she says leads into another question or topic SHE wants to talk about and she doesnt seem to really have the social awareness to understand when ppl are uncomfortable or want to talk about something else. her art is bad, which isnt a crime. it's just funny. the colours make my eyes bleed and everyone has an hourglass figure and massive bulges. she made a drawing tutorial on how to draw roy Her Way, which again is fine, it's just hilarious to me because she just keeps saying ''draw roy as a skinny twink with thick thighs and make him an uwu dork!!!''. i wont post the tutorial bc that feels mean and she can draw any character any way she wants.
i rag on her a lot for being the roy mpreg person but here's the kicker right. i LIKE mpreg. i will admit it, i have looked at mpreg art myself because i enjoy that typa stuff from time to time. but it's bad mpreg. idk who her audience is, but it isn't freaks like me i'll tell ya that.
#when ppl with weird fetishes (me) dont even like your mpreg comic you've fucked up bea. you've fucked up !#asks#should i make a tag for talking about bea. i dont want to have one because then it's gonna seem like i regularly talk about her#and that makes me wanna throw up

anti - LO anon asks/answers:
(1) Weird, I thought it sent my message, but here's the how the fandom hypersexualizes everything. 1) They thirst after any of the LO gods, in particular to them being shirtless, wear certain clothing (i.e Ares in a white tank top) or them being in a compromised state of pose (like Hades manspreading while being asleep at Demeter's place). 2) This thirst leads them to say things like "I want to bang [LO god]" or "I need to find a man like [LO god] (usually Hades)." Even worse is if the person saying those things has a boyfriend or is already married. They will either call or even wish their man could be "Hades." IT IS LITERALLY SO DISGUSTING. Every time I see anybody make a comment about how badly they want to be with a fictional character, I always feel sorry for their significant other.
(2) I guess this is gonna be an unpopular opinion but—I don’t see why fans sexualizing LO is bad?...what did that anon mean by that exactly? As in like nsfw art and headcannons? Why is that bad? Rachel herself draws porn of her own characters. EVERY fandom hypersexualizes their fave characters, that’s why we have rule 34. If ppl are sexualizing LO Hebe or Aphrodite’s other children, then yes, that’s creepy and sick, but everyone else in LO is an adult so I guess I say...let ppl be horny XD
(3) Adding on to the previous anons, just go to the author’s twitter. It’s a mess I tell ya. Through my experience. I feel like they’re sexualizing Persephone and Hades(Mostly Hades because he is “Perfect Husbando Daddy” to them 💀. (And yes I do understand that Hades in the media has been romanticize a lot throughout the years)Anyways, they keeping talking his “body parts”, what Persephone is gonna do to him, vice versa. If you want me to send some screenshots I can(Patreon too). I haven’t seen it happen to any other character as much as H+P. (Ares, just a little) That’s from Twitter alone,I just wanna enjoy the characters without someone telling me how hot they are every second.😒 It’s almost as if the Author want these types of people. Then again.....
(4) I don't care if these are spoilers, the early LO release (April 19th) has Hades yelling at Persephone like a child after he saved her from a riot (because she was paying the ferry) then they make out after he yells that he "WANTS HER" and she proceeds to run away from him afterwards. It's unearned and creepy bc he yelled such a possessive line (not that he LOVES her or anything, only that he WANTS her). That's supposed to be a big moment but it comes off as rushed and even more imbalanced.
(5) I have to vent a bit; I really love L*re Olympus bc it's just cheesy and I love cheesy dramas and those cutesy neon colours, but what angers me most about is (after how it has nothing with Greek culture), how characters are so... inconsistent. Minthe, a character that was abusive /vocally/, not physically. Making her hit Hades was so ooc- and my GOD, how could a nymph hit a god and get away with it?
(6) Time for your daily dose of LO complaining, LO spoilers so read/publish at own risk - Today's top story: the latest fastpass episode brings us a very special first kiss between two main characters that will remain nameless. Needless to say (imo) it was executed poorly due to poor pacing and lack of build up in the chapter! People rightfully critiqued and diehard fans attacked, claws out. The shocking updates will continue as ~6 episodes separate us between now and the finale. Stay tuned.
(7) Holy shit so this isn't technically related to the anti-Greek prejudice in Lore Olympus, but in the latest update it's revealed that Hades runs all of the banks -- you know, Hades, the big-nosed leader, and he shames tiny innocent Persephone for 1 Not having a bank account 2 For the fact that the her mother thinks all bankers are greedy. So not only does Rachel Smythe hold ignorance towards Greek people, but also she enjoys Antisemitic tropes.
______________________________________________________________
(1+2) I can understand the thirst for fictional characters... but not when they are the Greek gods, ya know? As anon (2) said, it’s not bad when people are horny. However... it’s at least a little weird when your fetish is old gods from another culture but dressed in a tank top or who knows what else :P And the fact that they reduce the almighty Hades to “UWU hot daddy” makes it even cringier. I am sure that, if the author posts such content, she wants her characters to be sexualized.
I mean, they are free to do it and we are free to comment on it - without limiting their ability to create and enjoy the hypersexualized content. Because, as much as we don’t like it, fans should be free to do whatever they like.
To add something for anon (2): if hypersexualizaion would be more natural if the comic had sex in it or dealt with sexual themes more frequently. I think the only sexual encounter we had so far was r*pe and nothing else. The storyline of the comic is almost irrelevant to the huge thirst fans have for the characters. If the focus is only on their sexuality and not on the plot or characters then it’s cringey. And I think it’s annoying when they sexualize the characters to such a degree. For example, anon (3) wrote “I just wanna enjoy the characters without someone telling me how hot they are every second”.
(3) “Perfect Husbando Daddy” UUUUGHHH.. It’s so funny the HxP in the comic are so boring and vanilla but the fans desperatelly want to turn them into a super sexualized couple? ALSO, SEND SCREENSHOTS! Patreon, comments you think are cringey, everything xD
(4) I am happy this changed because I don’t like the scene at all, for the reasons you mentioned. “I want you” can be translated as “I desire you” so it’s not problematic to me. But the circumstances in which he said that were creepy.
(5) Hmmm interesting point! Of course emotional abuse can happen at the same time as physical abuse, but you are kinda right for Minthe’s character. It felt a little ooc for me too. She wasn’t that type of abuser and it was a weird choice. Also, there is a hierarchy and it is indeed very weird that a nymph could get away with abusing a god. The only case she wouldn’t be punished you be if Hades insisted on it. (Something we didn’t see).
(6) OOOOOH I AM INTRIGUED! Not that I care at this point about the characters, I just want to see the drama 😂 I might search a little more!
(7) Of course she holds ignorance towards Greek people; she thinks we are rich! (muahahahaha that was a bad joke, I will stop now :P ) Generally the comic doesn’t take into account the Greek culture which is offensive but in the characters I didn’t see anti-Greek prejudice. (I might be missing something, idk). In order to have prejudice against something, you need to aknowledge it first. Bold of you to assume she knows we exist 😂
Maybe she made him super rich because he has the richest realm in Greek mythology. And, I mean, Greek noses are not limited to Jewish people, we also have them (my big pointy nose says hi!). I am sure there are Greek bankers with big noses. In fact, I would be surprise if they didn’t have a big nose 😂
I understand that it can also be interpreted as anti-Semitism. But for the reasons I mentioned, I don’t think she aimed to do that. Plus, the character is supposed to be Greek, so I don’t see how Jewish people would be offended by this. Is not possible for every wealthy fictional non-Jewish character with a big nose to reflect Jewish negative stereotypes. It kinda seems that people want to take a bad depiction of one group (Greeks) and make it about another group (Jewish).
Maybe for Americans the stereotype “big nose + wealth” means Jewish but for Greeks... I don’t think we see it that way. For us a banker with a big nose is just a banker with a big nose. For example, look at the big and pointy nose of Aristoteles Onassis, a Greek shipping magnate who amassed the world's largest privately owned shipping fleet and was one of the world's richest and most famous men:
I read the scene with the bank account and... yeah it bad for the things you mentioned. Hades should not be making the decision of Persephone having a bank account. He should at least let her discuss it with her mother first. Plus, the story presents Demeter as a stupid uknowing peasant who thinks money grows on trees and banks are evil.
#I thought i would answer them all together because for 1 . 2 and 3 i could be kinda give a combined answer#anti lo#answered

Humor musings.
I wrote a variant for humor because I guess I needed to really think about the concept of humor for some reason. I don’t know what was going on at the time but if I had to guess I was probably quite depressed. I spent a very long time in depression and the only thing I wanted in 2007 was to stop going to school.
Humor: the misunderstood form of happiness
Why do people laugh? Is it just am impulse to the brain? Does laughter make you live longer or the ability to be able to laugh contribute as well? Is there little difference between a laugh from a newborn baby and a laugh from an evil homicidal killer? As a person who likes to make people laugh I ask myself these questions all the time. I hear so many people make other people laugh when they themselves lack the happiness in there hearts to even smile. I however am not one of them. I do not know about others but the way my heart works is that just seeing you happy makes me happy. I bask in others people’s moments simply because they are happy which may be rare for them. Now I have lived at least 16 years and because of my enriched life of humor and my sacred moments of bliss I know how to make people laugh using my own brand of humor and even though many jokes sometimes fall on dead ears and I’m not so keen about that happening but just because my joke doesn’t make that person laugh does that mean its not considered humor? So many that seems like a silly question but you’d be surprised on how close-minded people can be.
Just like art people make the all too common mistake of believing what they think is funny is considered funny to be what humor is. Humor is far too broad to be but is such a constricting position. There are more common forms of humor. There is the kind seen often in TV which often uses crude humor, satires, slapstick, and parodies as a source of amusement and these seem to go well with most people. For some even morbid or horrid events such as mass killings deadly diseases and other horrible situations make it to the humor fold this is called black humor and it’s the most controversial of them due to the people who find it funny often lack a sense of humanity or at least are very creepy. Does that make it humor? Yes its humor. It’s kind of creepy and unsettling but its humor nonetheless.
Among comedy central a certain form of humor has taken form and it’s called racially charged humor. Now I have addressed racially charged humor in the past and I tend to overlook the fact that it might be racist under certain circumstances which to me and some others may seem reasonable. 1. It tends to be true for most people. 2. Its sometimes tends to be well thought out and delivered in a way that you just have to laugh (though whether or not you actually do is put into question). And if it’s not racially charged humor its simple one liner. Which are nice if once again well thought out, though they ironically tend to lack the creativity of the racist ones who tend to get popular much faster. Comedy central has cashed in on the fact that people like racially charged comedians. Though the honest non-racist comedians are every bit as good as the vaguely racist ones, they are left to dust and rarely mentioned by those who do not frequent comedy central. Does comedy Central’s ignorance at the other forms of humor mean they are stating what is and is not considered humor? No not at the very least however they are stating what people find funnier and as misfortune would have it would be humor that feeds on our inability to get along as a nation.
The Sunday papers have two sections that feature comic’s one that’s usually one strip featuring a satirical piece of artwork that expresses the current events (usually political ones) and makes a less than obvious joke about the subject in question. The thing that sets them apart from normal comic strips is the fact that the reader must be well read in current events and he must be able to deduce what the pictures are saying in order to make it to the point to where he/she decides on how funny it was. Funny or not the ability to understand it shows how well rounded you are and possibility how high class your taste in humor might be. the average comic strip ranges from deadbeat humor to one liners to even satirical jokes and parody’s(sometimes of other comics) although comics have all sorts of forms of humor that are made for different ages most people consider humor in comics strips to be rather limbless and lost and mostly never being funny. Is this true? Sometimes but that’s once again still humor, and seeing as those comic strips exist today people who read the Sunday funnies enjoy Garfield’s more relatable and practical humor than the racially charged and heavy political agenda of the boondocks but both are considered humorous in there own field for what they know how to do.
Of course even though a lot of humor can only be done by certain people. There are certain forms of humor that are somewhat public domain and what I mean by that is that anyone can use it, and for the most part it turns out okay. The types of humor I am talking about are the everyday practical joke and the knock knock joke. Even today the practical joke reins supreme as the most vindictive way to get a laugh, by simply pulling a trick on a person you can get a laugh at there expense. Now even though it usually guarantees laughs from whoever involved in screwing that said person over, it causes social damage the more you use it the more the people who you have done that too will begin to despise you. Now unless you’re okay with that you should always leave these jokes to be on people who also enjoy practical jokes otherwise your better off just watching someone do that to someone else on TV. Knock knock jokes are the grandfathers of humor. A long time ago there were an easy way for an average Joe to tell a joke and make lots of people chuckle however time has passed and almost any angle that you could exploit from a knock knock joke has pretty much been heard before or has lacked the ability to make people laugh either way. It’s passed its prime as a way to make people laugh but that doesn’t mean its not humor, it just means it doesn’t make you laugh anymore. Now instead of judging whether or not it makes you laugh you should rank it on just how clever it is. Trust me there are knock knock jokes that were genius but never made me laugh.
Last but not least is the ever well known inside joke. Now these jokes are funny and even downright hilarious the only problem is you have fit a criteria actually get the joke. Whether it be a reference to what happens in your favorite video game or just a powwow you share with your friends after school inside jokes are only funny to those inside the circle. Now these are easily humor but there not for everyone and very few people seem to pickup on that. Inside jokes should stay in places where they can be understood and only then can we get to the part on whether or not there funny.
An honorable mention is sarcasm you’d think it would be considered humor as well by the way you laugh at someone’s sarcastic comment but the only loophole to sarcasm is that its not intended to be funny its usually a passive aggressive way of letting out your feelings of disdain for something that has been heard, said, and seen and on rare occasions Sometimes even smelt. It for those involved in the sarcastic comment it’s usually no laughing matter. It’s not funny for the people involved nor is it for the person, place or thing it was directed too. Not even the person who said it found it funny nor is it usually intended to funny. The only exception to this is if the sarcastic joke indeed was made for the simple option of other people to laugh then its humor.
I have stated all sorts of humor some more mainstream than others. Now you’re asking what about ranting? It’s really more of a way to express your hatred of the subject in question. Now a rant can be funny but it’s usually it’s very spiteful and sometimes contains things that might hurt the reader’s feelings and make them uncomfortable. I used to read a web comic called exterminatomous now but I started getting bored of just reading the comics and went on to read there comments and there rants and that’s what I like to call mistake number one. Not only did I initially find there unreasonable rantings funny but I garnered for more. The line in the sand was drawn when they did a fill in the caption contest and tastelessly berated there fans to the point to where I never wanted to read there web comic ever again. Well that’s all of them I don’t think I missed a single one and if I did I probably lumped them into a certain group i.e. sex, porn, cursing, farts, and things of those natures are all considered crude humor. Now at the end of the day there all humor and nor I or you or anyone else is going to find the same exact thing funny but its all humor and somewhere its making someone’s day a little better.

Bookshelf Briefs 6/12/18
Arakawa Under the Bridge, Vol. 3 | By Hikaru Nakamura | Vertical Comics – It really does surprise me how invested I am in rec and Nino’s love affair, given that it’s not really an affair yet and this book is more about everyone being hopelessly weird. But in a series like that, you need something to ground you or else you risk not caring about anything, and for me it’s the moments when the two really show how devoted they are to each other. Elsewhere, a battle royale between the cast goes about how you’d expect in terms of the winner (hint: she’s on the cover), and there is also the occasional hint that these happy (sort of) days for rec won’t be able to last forever. Arakawa requires a love of gag comedy to appreciate, but if you do there are a lot of rewards here. – Sean Gaffney
Durarara!! Re;Dollars Arc, Vol. 1 | By Ryohgo Narita, Suzuhito Yasuda, and Aogiri | Yen Press – The last time we had a DRRR!! manga volume come out over here, we were just beginning the light novel release. Almost three years later, here’s the new arc. This starts to adapt the fifth novel, meaning that Akane and Vorona, two of my favorites, make an appearance. There’s not a whole lot of extra content here for those who have seen the anime and read the novels, though I was very appreciative of Shinra’s fantasy of why Akane would want to kill Shizuo. But for those who like following DRRR!! in manga form, this adaptation remains a good go-to choice. It’s drawn by Aogiri, who also did the Aquarion Evol manga art. Sadly, it also has Izaya being Izaya Alas. – Sean Gaffney
The Elder Sister-Like One, Vol. 1 | By Iida Pochi | Yen Press – While I was reading this, the first thing that came to mind was “this reads like porn with the sex removed.” Which indeed it is—the original was a pornographic doujinshi, but the author made the relationship non-explicit and a bit more familial (only a bit, mind you) for this mainstream release. The premise involves a young man who has been passed along from relative to relative and his demonic familiar who becomes a sort of twisted family. If you’re thinking “This sounds like Natsume’s Book of Friends only written for guys and with lots more cleavage,” you aren’t far off. It actually manages to respectably straddle the line between supernaturally sweet and supernaturally skeezy as hell. We’ll see how long it can keep that up. – Sean Gaffney
Flying Witch, Vol. 6 | By Chihiro Ishizuka | Vertical Comics – The cast expands a bit here, as we meet Sayo, a “student council president” sort who thinks that Makoto is a bit too laid-back and relaxed about her witchly duties. Which, to be fair, is 100% correct. Fortunately, they bond over a case involving a repeating town block, and Sayo shows off her shy, cute side. Elsewhere in the volume, most of the rest of the cast show up for a barbecue of sorts, as we get much discussion of giblets and just how common it is to be loving it as a delicacy. Speaking of food, turns out the school’s pork cutlets are delicious to cats as well as humans, and also that you can get winter in July provided you’re associated with witches. Flying Witch is always peaceful, but never boring. – Sean Gaffney
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Vol. 24 | By Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki | VIZ Media – I haven’t enjoyed this Central arc much, so it’s a relief that the end seems to be in sight. It turns out that Erina’s dad once idolized Soma’s dad and is unable to resist a challenge in which a defeated Joichiro would become his minion. Now the resisters are going up against the remaining council members, with the possibility of taking over the council themselves, and we get fun training action like a three-on-three battle during which Takumi reveals just how much he’s grown and Erina attempts unorthodox cooking for the first time. It’s a lot of fun and the air of amiable challenge that exists between Soma and Joichiro ends up inspiring Erina to stand up to her dad and publicly side with the resisters. We barely get started on the team shokugeki before the volume ends, but I’m happy to find myself once again enjoying this series immensely. – Michelle Smith
Haikyu!!, Vol. 24 | By Haruichi Furudate | Viz Media – This was one of the best volumes of Haikyu!! I’ve read yet, and it’s not a coincidence that there’s no tournament going on. I do love the games, but volume after volume of them can get exhausting (and hard to review). Here we see a jealous and driven Hinata follow Tsukishima to the all-rookie camp… where he wasn’t invited. What’s worse, the coach of this camp is Shiratorizawa, whose motto is basically “no short kids.” Still, he lets Hinata be the ball boy. This is actually really good for him, as it allows him to realize how much there is to learn by just watching. His raw instinct is combining with actual game smarts, and it’s terrific to see. I am really waiting to see how this plays out in the future. – Sean Gaffney
Laid-Back Camp, Vol. 2 | By Afro | Yen Press – I mentioned this in my review of the first volume, but it really is striking how much the series is trying to separate the main cast. We start off with Nadeshiko and her club at a hot spring camp, and Rin… far away, looking for another hot spring (which turns out to be closed) but finding her own solitary camping experiences. It’s nice to see that the manga tells people it’s fine to have fun on your own. Still, I think I appreciated it more when Rin and Nadeshiko were actually interacting in person rather than by phone, and I do hope that in future volumes we can have the four together… or maybe five, if we can convince Rin’s weird friend to come along. Still a nice series as laid-back as its name—I just wish it had more characterization. – Sean Gaffney
Takane & Hana, Vol. 3 | By Yuki Shiwasu | Viz Media – Takane & Hana is still at its best when its romantic pair are snarking at each other, and there’s plenty of that here. Elsewhere, though, Hana’s grades are starting to slip, leading to a studying binge which Takane actually proves pretty adept at helping with. It’s not without cost, though, as he gets a bad cold, and she realizes just how much it is that he actually does. Meanwhile, a trip with Takane, Hana, and Hana’s friends also includes the high school boy who likes her, and he brings up the elephant in the room, which is the fact that Takane is a decade older than Hana, she’s still in high school, and this is pretty creepy if you stop and think about it. That said, I’m content right now to let the shoujo manga keep the romance on a slow simmer. – Sean Gaffney
Yona of the Dawn, Vol. 12 | By Mizuho Kusanagi | VIZ Media –Yona of the Dawn is always good, but this volume is particularly so. Yona and her retinue get caught in the Fire Tribe city of Saika as an invading army from the Kai empire approaches. I appreciated the atmosphere of tension while everyone waited and also loved seeing Tae-Jun be brave, keeping his promise to protect the villagers. It turns out it’s all a traitorous plot and even though Yona would also like to get vengeance on Su-Won, she can’t let this army attack the palace lest they throw the nation into chaos. Potentially my favorite aspect of this, though, is that Kusanagi keeps showing that Su-Won actually is a better king than Yona’s father was. I expect eventually she’ll have to recognize that for herself. At turns light-hearted and intense, Yona of the Dawn really is something special. I’m glad this story exists. – Michelle Smith
