February 5: Week 4, Blog 4

The last few times I uploaded this video, it didn’t want to upload. However, I’m determined to show how beautiful Cabo Rojo was through a video. It’s located on the eastern side of the island, and is a gorgeous scenic view of the ocean! A few days before we went, my friends mentioned to me that they wanted to go. Initially, I thought it was just an idea, but a few days later we found ourselves awake at 7 am going on a 2 hour drive across the island.

Cabo Rojo is called such because during sunset, the area supposedly had a red tint to it. The place isn’t very touristy, but rather just has a lighthouse. However, that’s what I loved the most about it. It wasn’t a bunch of vendors nor music, but simply the beautiful nature setting. I love to see sights and go to tourist destinations but it was so refreshing to admire the ocean with all my friends. I might dare say that Cabo Rojo is one of the best views I’ve ever seen in my life.

When this program began, I never imagined I’d become good enough friends with someone to let them drive me across the island. However, my friends and I ended up growing closer through the trip. We intend to explore more places here in PR, like Culebra, La Isla Verde, y El Yunce.
