We meet again, Bohol!
As beautiful as the Philippines is, many destinations offer mostly sand and surf. But not Bohol. This province is known for unique attractions that you can’t find anywhere else in the Philippines.
Sure, other islands in the Philippines are worth recommending, too, but most boast one or two of the following — white beaches, incredible sites, diverse wildlife, interesting history. Bohol has them all. From wild encounters with dolphins and tarsiers to the incomparable views of the Chocolate Hills, Bohol is a province that is easy to promote. It doesn’t need much sales talk.
We stayed at Coastal View in Panglao, then we transferred to On Board Beach Hostel and Resort for some quiet alone time near the beach. The wedding was at South Palms Resort, and I can attest that this is probably the most exquisite hotel here, next to Bohol Beach Club.
I was tasked with the daunting task of speaking in front of everyone. I wasn't really prepared to cry, so I let the "funny" me take over. Let me share to you guys my speech during the wedding.
"Kamusta naman ang lahat? Nakainom na ba? Kung Hindi pa, ito na yung time. Haha. For everyone's reference, I'm jasfher ako yung favorite friend ng groom and bride. Jk. Haha.
Jk. Haha
Okay kidding aside, sige maybe I'll just start ho I met the bride and the groom. Tagalog yung speech ko so pasensya na. To our foreigner friends, welcome to the Philippines. Haha.
Si brux and karla orgmates ko from UP travel society. Hindi ko din alam paano nabuo yung barkadahan namin, pero I guess we all just clicked and nagkakaayaan na lang kumain, gumala, tumambay ganyan, and the rest was history.
Yung siargao kasi grabe talaga yun gabi-gabi kami lasing as in tumatakbo kami nina karla sa kalsada tapos hinahabol kami nina brux. Haha. Grabe talaga yun. Nung South Cotabato naman, natry namin yung highest zipline in the South East Asia, may nadaanan kaming apat na waterfalls ganun kataas. Tapos ang dami naming change costume nag T'boli traditional costume kami, tapos nag abaya and hijab kami nung pumunta kaming Grand Mosque. Very dubai ganon. Haha.
Indeed a matchmake in heaven walang distance distance. They will really make way to communicate, and show their love for each other. The yin to each other's yang.
So medyo ang haba na no? haha so summary and summary? Haha. Nakita ko silang nag grow, both literally and figuratively. As in kung may masasabi akong couple na tested by time and distance ay sila talaga iyon. In between those laughters, I know genuine love is there. Sobrang happy ko na nagkatuluyan kayo, and from day 1, alam kong kayo na talaga. I know madaming taon taon pa tayong pagsasamahan, at andito lang kami para sa inyo. Congratulations, Karla and Brux, and i only hope the best for you both. Mahal na mahal ko kayo 💕
Cheers to the brucals!" Probably the best and most heartfelt wedding I've been to. Cryfest. Literally shed buckets of tears. So this is how it feels like to see your close friends get married. I was so lucky to have witnessed this momentous event in our barkada (god and tanda na namin haha)

Story Time:
Sobrang tagal ko bago ko maisipan isulat, partly kase tinatamad ako, mostly kase parang ayokong ikwento or I don't see a reason to disclose whatever I went through sa buong 2022.
2022 was one hell of a year. Katulad ng sabi ko, heartbreaks and doubts. Overthinking. Etc. Mostly because I feel sad. I entered 2022 thinking ikeep up ko yung pag post, my usual madaldal and makwento dito sa tumblr self. But I realize now why I stopped, posting, I was sad and lonely.
I think I made peace with everything I went through na in 2022. But here's what happened in October up to date.
My best friend and I planned to go somewhere, kase free siya ng last week ng October and sakto na magbi-birthday ako nang November 5. So sabi ko kung gusto niya ba Baler, or La Union.
So from then nag plan na kame, ilang araw, san kami mag stay, anong kukunin namin na tour package. Anyway, na-settle namin, aalis na lang ng October 28. 5 days kame mag stay. tatlong place/hotel ang pag stay-an namin (Kase maarte kame, at gusto namin ng magandang place na pag stay-an)
But before that, buntis yung aso ko (Qielli/Shih Tzu).
Kase all in all hindi siya nahirapan manganak, sobrang smooth.
Nag make up kame. Nag tiktok. Nag karaoke. (10 for me, maganda yung ambiance tsaka maganda yung place. May breakfast. Mura for a night and beach front pa.) (Sarap nung kinainan namin. Pasta, chicken tsaka pizza). Wala masyadong night life kase siguro nga may bagyo and lahat ng turista siguro nastranded sa Batangas. Pero we got to enjoy ourselves reading book by the beach. And yung food masarap talaga.
The rest, well, birthday ko. Tapos nung December first week ata. dinala ko sa vet yung apat na puppies para sa second deworming and first vaccine.
December 23 ng umaga napansin ko na nag seizure yung isang puppy (Si Yuki), dinala ko agad sa vet kasama si Luna kase napansin ko na nag twitch din siya, the hardest part for me was I knew when I started noticing the seizures and tremors kahit bago pa man sila itest, alam ko na distemper yung sakit nila. It was so sudden and ang bilis lang, wala akong ibang nakitang symptoms sa kanila, few days before that napansin ko na malambot yung poop nila pero naisip ko baka dahil lang kase nag transition na ko sa kanila from milk ng mommy nila, to milk na pang puppy (yung tinitimpla), to wet dog food. So I had no idea na it was one of the symptoms. I was so heartbroken and sad and confused and worried all at the same time, kase anim ang aso ko na nasa bahay, yung apat na puppy (Qiell, Yuki, Luna, and Quincy), si Qielli tapos yung aspin ko na aso si Cassie. Tapos tatlong pusa. Or kami? Yung mga shoes and tsinelas?
December 25 after midnight Yuki passed away in my bed. Sinilip ko siya pagka midnight tinabihan ko sinabihan ko ng merry christmas and I love you. Lumabas lang ako saglit para kumain. Pagbalik ko di na siya humihinga. So I cried.
After Yuki died, Luna started having tremors.
Christmas and before new year was the worst.
Go.
You would think okay sila. Traydor pala talaga yung distemper. Kase maharot naman sila, playful, sobrang lakas kumain. Then bigla silang mag seizure. Biglang mag drop yung katawan nila. Biglang magiging matamlay.
I cried again that day holding Quincy in my arms.
And then I whispered to her, sumama na siya kila Luna para di na siya mahirapan.
December 29, Qiell started having seizures na din.
December 30 ng madaling araw Qiell passed away.
Quincy died 7 or 8 AM din the same day (December 30).
Writing this was so hard. I keep crying. And even now, after ilang days, I still cried every night looking at their playpen.
I was consoling myself, sinasabi ko, okay lang yan, they were never meant to grow up. I don't know.
And I wonder if may virus outbreak ba na naganap.
Now, hindi ko na sinisisi yung sarili ko, and most of the time although I miss them, I'm grateful na hindi na sila masyadong nahirapan pa ng matagal. And I hope they're happy there in the rainbow bridge kasama ang isa't isa and all my dogs na nawala na.
I'm still sad.
Nung nag new year, sabi ko sa sarili ko, this year I hope will be different. Sana wala nang masyadong heartbreak.
And if biyayaan ulit ng aso/puppy. I hope that puppy/dog will stay ng sobrang tagal sa amin.

Reasons why it will take me 10 years to visit Puerto Galera again.
I like a lot of my friends have itchy feet and want to travel at the drop of the hat. So when my friend invited me and told me she will take care of the hotel, I really pushed to go to with her on this Holy Week trip. I'm no stranger to Puerto Galera. I've been several times. I even traveled once on my own to cure from a broken heart. And I remember it as a quaint beaching community with touristy prices and lots of afams looking for their next Filipina bride. So Gemma and I went without doing a double take.
In the early morning of Holy Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the bus ride from Buendia to Batangas Port was smooth and I got some zzz's in. When I go to the Port it was mayhem. We were made to "fall in line" to get our baggage checked. And falling in line was more akin to die because of a stampede. It scared me. And I told the people inside, and they were like that is the choice of the customers. They couldn't have cared less.
We were ushered to the ticket selling area. It was full and the line was like a snake going around. The people at the port were not prepared for the mass of people that came. It was so unorganized, that the people in line were the ones organizing themselves. We had to line up for 2 hours or more to get a boat ticket and once we did we had to go back in line to get another ticket for the terminal fee. It was such an inconvenience, because they did not inform us there was a terminal fee. It was only at the start of the line before getting to the gates they would tell you such. They need to put a more orderly process and speed up the process for the masses of people coming.
My friend and I rode the boat and I get very nauseous with waves and it is really a struggle for me. When I got to the port, all I wanted to do was get off the boat. And find a hotel. When we got there, there was this new Environmental Fee. It was very expensive, Php 120. And what more is there was a declaration that nobody can enter the island without a hotel reservation. My friend was being forced to reserve a hotel room worth Php 4,500 a night, and we were informed that the people processing the Environmental fee would get 10% of sales. Finally, my friend found at Php 1800 at Liro and Lisa. We took a Php 200 tricycle (taxi prices) from the port to the hotel (the driver got lost several times).
We couldn't really enjoy the place just yet because we were looking for a hotel for the rest of our stay. We got so hungry that we stopped by a turo-turo place. We ordered, rice, pares, tenga, hotdogs, barbecaue, and drinks. We were charged Php 200 at first, then they said it was Php 400. Then they said we hadn't paid for the drinks yet and we paid an additional Php 50 for a total of Php 450. Sana nag-samgyup na lang ako.
These same people were "helping' us find a place to stay. They told us there was a hotel. And they brought us to the back parts of the island. And it turned out the residential place started at Php 2,500 then went on to Php 3500. All the hotel rooms we were looking at were priced at Php 3,000-3,500 a night. Usually, during the off season, they would be at Php 1,500-Php 2,500. And I remember transient kubos for less. This was extortion at the highest level.
After being so heartbroken (my friend and I thoiught we would go back home to Manila the next day). We found a place that was going for Php 2,500. It was not as good as our first hotel Liro and Lisa but it was good enough so we could stay in Puerto and at least it was beach front. We ate and reserved a room at Mindori Korea. Just so we could stay one more day. So we stayed our one night in Liro and Lira, (wifi ---but a lot of users, split type aircon, hot and cold shower, new, and very kind owners and staff) and we checked into Mindori Korea the next day.
On Maundy Thursday, we finally felt like the vacation had begun. And we enjoyed shopping, a little henna, and of course the sea. but it was littered with people it was so gross. Like really. the next people from me were barely 2 feet away. So it was really not as relaxing as could be. And there were even more people on the beach. It was unfortunate that I got my period this time and I had to buy. They were charging the Sisters napkin Php 15 EACH. Usually a pack of 8 is Php 22. My friend and braved the MRT like crowds to buy food that was under Php 200. And we finally found Mang Inasal like food and prices. We had to keep our budget down. because it was just so expensive. I spent around Php 6,000 for 3 days of food on the island. This is like a month's grocery. Just a bit more and I could have gone to Boracay instead.
And really, I love to travel, and will brave Puerto Galera (even with the horrible boat experience) but this is just too much. I understand that there was a pandemic, and "ngayon lang kami makakabawi", PERO GRABE NAMAN KAYO BUMAWI. Nawalan ako ng amor sa Puerto. Gone is the local color. It is a Station 1, 2, 3 wanna be. The sea will always be beautiful. But the business part is ugly. I will just save up more and go to Palawan or Siargao. Or if I really need a quick sea trip, Calatagan or LU. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Kudos to Liro and Lisa, they really look after their guests. You can see that they love what they do. Thanks to people like them, I have hope for Puerto Gallera. But I will revisit this after 10 years.

Almost my Birthday!
I keep on seeing my 27 things to do before 27 in my facebook memories, too bad I deleted the Tumblr blog I did about that, not sure why I deleted. It would’ve been fun to see the list and how I was able to cross out everything. Here’s what I remember:
1. go to the beach - Puerto Galera
2. Watch a movie alone - zoo something in Waltermart
3. Go to a place I haven’t been - church in Makati
4. Wear jeans and T-shirt at work with no make up
5. Eat things I dont like (milk tea, milk, sushi, frozen yogurt) - With Ate Grace
6. Calorie feast (since I was on a diet for the longest time that time lol) - National Sports grill with ate grace in Greenbelt
7. Do a good deed for someone - cake for kuya na always managing the taxi stand in waltermart Makati
8. Invent a recipe - I made a custard cup eme lol
9. Fly - First time parasailing in Puerto Galera
Thats all I remember, maybe I’ll add more when I see some from the memories. I know I was able to finish it before my birthday.
Anyway, I was thinking, after my 39th birthday maybe I should start making a list of 40 things to do before 40! This will be fun to look forward to and finish in 1 year! The 27 thing was kinda rush so I keep pushing myself and stressing myself to finish it even if it means going to puerto galera after a night shift and basically just slept the whole day in the hotel! So having a whole year to plan and do it would be fun!
Will keep you posted!✨

Lavishness Villa Rental - Taking Some Time to Think About the Pros of Choosing Villa Rentals
A couple of individuals might be thinking about what it is with a lavishness estate rental that they can't find in the best hotels. To start, while luxury can be given not the slightest bit diverse by various rich and extraordinary lodgings around, having your own private space while getting a charge out of all the extravagance is one of the various things that you can engage yourself with when you pick private bequests for your long awaited outing Bernam new condo launch .
Look at it thusly, while the realities affirm that both have their own plans of upsides and drawbacks to the extent comfort during a journey; picking lavishness home rental is something that you would not mourn when you are giving a ton of thought to having your own particular space during an escape. While there are piles of lavish hotels that have enormous rooms and rich features, the likelihood that there are a ton of travelers billeted in that housing (paying little heed to how huge it is!) outfit you with the lost of broad self-ruling lifestyle and chance of improvement understanding that there are people who will bestow to you wherever you head to and you can't shoo them away considering the way that you are both paying for staying in the motel.
To start the relationship, just think about swimming in the pool of the housing against swimming in the pool of a luxury bequest. In the housing, pools are continually occupied with kids and adults the equivalent and it would be unfathomable for you to have your own time alone. Likewise, you are by somehow losing your chance of outfitting yourself with the congruity and quiet condition that you would without a doubt recognize whether you have to loosen up. This is something that you would consider as a favored position when you choose staying in a private bequest for your escape. Most luxury estate rentals have a pool where you can take please from and welcome the segregation of contributing vitality alone for your loosening up.
While staying in a housing will permit you to have a particular number of dinners in the motel's restaurant; staying in private home rentals would give you the joy to eat in better places around and inside the estate putting forth a valiant effort.
Summing up everything, the upsides of picking lavishness house from among the different choices of accommodation when spending escape in a recognize far from home is something that spells wealth and security collapsed into one. One model from the various excess house rentals is the Villa Halcyon, organized immaculately in the lovely region of Puerto Galera, Philippines where you can value the beach and the assurance without bartering the various pleasurable activities that you can value doing while you are spending your trip.
There are a great deal of things that you can list when you consider on the preferences that you can acknowledge when choosing to spend your journey on private homes. Unmistakably, you will be among the people who will go to the affirmation that going for an excess domain rental can mean the extravagance and pleasurable escape that you have for a long while been anticipating to give for yourself and your family!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
– Mark Twain
I have always loved the adventure of travel — the unknown, something different, something new. I have been extremely lucky to continuously feed my passion and love of travel. Looking back, I tried to recall how I developed this travel bug. Well, it started as being fond of attending class field trips for school, then finding my travel buddies from UP Travel Society, and everything was pretty much history. We made it a point to take the roads less traveled, and go out of the country at least once a year. Since I’ll be taking the bar next year (fingers crossed), I try to squeeze my travels this year (operative word: try) so that I can focus on studying in 2020. So far, four months into 2019, I’ve been to 7 provinces and still counting.
Last time I was in Mindoro, I attended the Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival. Now, me and my friends decided to stay at one of our friend’s hotel and visit their hacienda. He was a big name here in Mindoro, so we used his name as a “free pass” for everything. Literally everything. Lucky to have a crazy rich asian friend (loling at my poor self. Haha)
Puerto Galera gives you a choice: either you plunge into bliss or go out with a bang.
Situated in Oriental, Mindoro Philippines, this municipality was once dubbed as “One of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World”, and it came as no surprise. Just a few hours’ travel from Manila, this gorgeous collection of bays and islands is one of the country’s top dive destinations. Here, mountains drop hundreds of feet into the sea, surrounded by crashing waves, while coconut trees rise up from powdery white to cream sand beaches, lapped by a beautiful mix of azure and seafoam sea. But its most beautiful asset is found underwater, where rainbow-hued fishes congregate and play around sprawling coral gardens.
Puerto Galera is primarily a scuba diving destination but there are also many activities for non-divers (aka me and my friends). While we were not able to explore the underwater, the water activities here definitely something to try. You can ride banana boats and dragon boats, rent a jet ski, or do parasailing. We tried some, and when the sun was about to set, we stayed by the shore and drank our dose of vitamin beer sea.
White Beach is a long beach with fine white sand, making it a fantastic spot to relax, unwind and enjoy a day trip. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations, there are plenty of hotels, bars, and restaurant to see here. Because of that, the area can be quite crowded and noisy. Good thing we found Coco Aroma, a quaint bar located near the end of the beach perfect for late afternoon naps, card games, and drinking with a view and sounds of of the waves.
Mindoro was fun the second time around!

Philippines May 2019
Days 12, 13 – Puerto Galera and back to Kawayan Cove
We received our Open Water Diver certificates this morning from our instructor Rose, along with fellow guest Nadia who was finishing up her training as well! Georgia has a mild case of scuba hair but it’s curable.
Yesterday morning we took a drive south of Puerto Galera, going as far as Tamaraw Falls, a popular sight to visit. Pretty falls, right alongside the highway. Just on the other side of the highway they’ve built a series of pools where you can pay 50 Pesos to go swimming. We looked at the dingy water and decided against doing that.
Driving back towards our resort we stopped at a private beach that also has a restaurant, venue for live music, all sorts of water toys to rent. Very clean, inviting place overall. Too early for lunch, we both had a refreshing glass of Calamansi juice before continuing our drive.
But you’re all anxious for more underwater photos, right? We got back to the hotel in time to make the afternoon dive so signed up for our first “fun dive”. Again we’ll be diving with Rose, but no skills practice, no tests, just fun because we’re certified!. A different spot again, we started out at about 60 feet where we were seeing a mostly flat bottom with a mix of sand and lush carpets of anemones and plant life, doing what’s called locally (or maybe common diver slang?) “muck diving”. Here’s where we look for seahorses (didn’t see any but then they’re camouflage masters) and nudibranchs which are small sluggy things that come in a fantastic variety of shapes and colors. Divers come to this part of the Philippines just to hunt them down and photograph them. Again I understand why – they’re pretty, don’t move fast at all and are easy to photograph once you find them. This particular small thing is about 2” long. I think this is its face but I’m not sure.
We also saw many larger fish we hadn’t seen before. There were a lot of pretty fish but then there was this guy with the face only a mother could love. He’s about a foot or so long. He also swims very slowly and didn’t mind posing a little. I think he can get away being a slow swimmer because he doesn’t look appetizing at all with that skin condition.
Must have another picture of cute clown fish…
…and one last glorious sunset to close out a wonderful stay in Puerto Galera.

My Little Wandering Feet
My Mommy always say that we only live once and take as much travel as you want. She says that in travelling, you can de-stress, you can rejuvenate your spirit and you can explore the wonders of the place, know its history and enjoy. Even if I was still a baby, my family will always tag me along in their adventures. My family likes the water so much and love to have staycation over the weekend so most of my travels are mainly swimming or checking in a hotel for an overnight of luxury and buffet breakfast. My mom always plan our trip. She would always have something in store for every occasion or holidays. We would go to theme parks like Dreamplay or Star City or Enchanted Kingdom. Sometimes she wanted it educational, so my wandering feet would take us to zoobic safari, Paradizoo or even the Manila Zoo. Sometimes we go to concerts like the Disney on Ice which we watched two years in a row or go to a Basketball game of our favorite team. But my most favorite travels are one with a pool or Sea!!!! we have traveled to Palawan, Puerto Galera and other resorts. My most favorite is when I experienced snorkelling in Anilao, Batangas where I got to see the school of fishes up-close. I hope my mom will plan more vacations with us. I’ll keep you posted on my travels soon!!!!!
