Cuando me diagnosticaron con este terrible virus, el mundo pareció detenerse. Recuerdo vívidamente el momento en que el médico me miró a los ojos con una mezcla de compasión y profesionalismo, y pronunciaba las palabras que cambiarían mi vida para siempre. Sentí como si el aire se escapara de mis pulmones y una sensación de irrealidad se apoderara de mí. Mi mente se llenó de preguntas y miedos: ¿Qué pasaría con mi familia? ¿Con mi trabajo? ¿Con mis sueños y planes para el futuro? La incertidumbre era abrumadora y, por un momento, me sentí completamente perdido. Los días siguientes fueron un torbellino de emociones. Pasé de la negación a la rabia, y luego a una profunda tristeza. Las visitas al médico se volvieron rutinarias, pero cada vez que entraba a la clínica, sentía un nudo en el estómago. I didn't ace the coffee making, but better some coffee than none. Before I get back into the (much-needed) work mode, I wanted to fill boxes of two missed days in my trackers.

Do you use any sort of trackers?

Would you like to share what kind and what formats? What works for you?

I am ok. It feels graceful to accept the pain when I feel like that's what I want to do, instead of fighting, forcing against, and resisting it. It's good to allow myself to feel all that I do. Let the storm come, let it happen, let the breathing be heavy, and the days be painful, let the tears fall on the bed as I stare at the wall, let the kajal leave marks on the left side of both my eyes, let me be lost while my eyes are open but not viewing anything, some senses quietened feels restful when everything inside is shifting and screaming like construction activities in your heart and mind. Let the storm come, and let's be patient until it calms down. I'll just do what I can, just what my energy levels allow me to. I'll focus on what I can control and watch this experience flow through me. I'm going to do my work and go to the dock when the sun sets. :) If you so allow, experience a sunset yourself today.

"Coffee in the morning is a must. It's almost a state of emergency when you've run out of coffee filters and all you need is that one cup to get you started. Will a sock work? Will an old t-shirt? How bad would it be to just drink the grinds? I bet gritty coffee would actually pep you up a bit faster. It'd be chokier....and it would be a good idea to brush your teeth straight afterwards, to avoid black bits all over your teeth...but love will find a way. You will drink that coffee at any cost.  I'd probably use an old (clean) facecloth...if I had to."
