Mythology nerd reacts/talks about Dislyte part 2. - Narmer

Narmer is the Esper of Ra. And sorry for the bad English, it's not my first launvige. And the way I will write this will be less classical.

So let's talk about Ra first. Ra is the mayor sun god in Egyiptian mythology. So in most versions he doas not have parents, but in some alternative sources his parents are Khnum and Neith, and in the cycle of rebith it's Hathor, and in some sources it's Mehet-Were. In the New Kingdom (in the first part I explaind ancient Egyiptian historical periods.) he was fused with Amun, as Amun-Ra. Ra also has the head of a falcon, and share many characteristics with Horus. At times the two were even merged as Ra-Horakhty. When it comes to Ra, I think we should mention his cult that's center was in Heliopolis, or rather the cult of the Mnevis bull, which was an embodyment of him, or more specificly Atum-Ra (an another God fusion) along side with Buchis of Armant, which is also conected to Ra, and Monti an another falcon headed God. The bull were secrefaised to the Gods, because there were a burial ground for them. In some accounts Ra created humans from his tears, and sweat. In early versions Hathor was his wife (preferably in the versions where she was not his daughter).

Yes this myths get's it's own paragraph. In the myth of the Celestial Cow, Ra is getting old and senail, and weak, and also sometimes he forget to tend to world that he is suposed to ruling so humans not really respect, and worshiping him. So Ra toke one of his eyes out, and created the Sekhmet out of it. Then Ra sent his daughter to take revainge on humans for disrespecting him. Which results in bloodshead, a really big bloodshead, which freaks the other gods out. So Osiris, and and the other gods go to Ra to ask him to make her stop. Ra feels bad, and he thinks that this will be enough. So he asks Sekhmet to stop with all the killings. And Sekhmet refuse, and goas back to killing everyone. So Ra, and the other Gods makes a plan to stop her, so they make a posion that is mostly beer, and and a little bit of human blood, and leave it out to her to drink it. She finds it, thinks that it's blood so she drinks it, she get's drunk, and falls asleep. Whaile she was asleep Ra pulls out some of her godly essenc and make a new God out of it, which in some version it's Hathor, and in other versions it's Bastet. So when Sekhmet wakes up, she is more chill, but still dangerous, because she is still a war goddess, but now she rather kills for protecting stuff, and not for fun. After this Ra agree that it's time for him to retire from ruling Egypt. He abandons his quasi-mortality, and goas to his sun boat forever to speand his redtirement fightting with Apophis, and to do his nightly journey. But before it he picks Osiris as his sucseser, to take the thron, which worked out great.

There are other things I could write about Ra here, but if we want to talk about Narmer too, then it's better to stop here, because those are the shings that are revelent for the characterisation of Narmer. So let's talk about Narmer.

So Narmer is the head of the Saunbert family, corectly is a wanderer, was a member of the Esper Union, but now he is not, and now he is a scion, he speand his life studing the miricle. One day he was traped in ruind, and was rescued by a refugee girl name Zelmer who was an orphan, then Narmer adopted her. And Zelmer become his loyal company. Narmer seeing Zelmer regaining her spirit, vowed to unite humanity against the miracles.

So Narmer, and Ra have many similarities. Both of them rule over something. Ra rules over Egypt, and Narmer is the head of the Saunbert family, and was a importent member of the Esper Union (Sorry if this is not trou). And both of them has a daughter who is loyal to them. And this is how many similarities I was able to find.

clowning on ra and horus in dislyte bcz they made ra a 5* and horus a 4* and i hate how people tend to try to equate them to the greek pantheon (*shaking fist* romans) but i accidentally gave heron and hawk the same dynamic anyway .

Last show: Cells at Work. Aside from the ample amounts of blood (seriously couldn't they have gone for something less... Realistic of a colour for the cell equivalent of blood? Like yellow for instance?) I liked the series. It's not as edutainmentional as the manga but still it's fun.

Currently watching: Waiting for Nightmares from the Kitchen to start atm (Rough translation. It's a series of episodes showing a leading chef in my home country helping small business people run their restaurants)

Current obsession: Dislyte, in particular the Four Commanders and even more in particular... The Esper of Horus (I know, I know...)

I lowkey think Falken definitely falls victim to the "rbf vibes without the actual rbf" deal. Sure, he's a little quiet compared to other people that he works with, but it does not mean he's adverse to casual touches or anything like that. He looks like the kind of guy whose love languages are quality time and touch. But anyway-

It's not a new occurrence to see him with his s/o in his office just hanging out once in a while. (would he have an office? i feel like he would LMAO) One can only look at so many reports before getting bored of them (not that he'd admit it), so once he sees you peering into his office with a small smile in greeting, that's when he knows he can let himself relax for a bit. ngl it's probably one of the things he looks forward to the most during the day.

if someone is searching for either one of you, they have to consider one thing, if they really need to find one of you, try to find out where the other is because 9 times out of 10, you both are going to be found together. But with the rare 1, good luck finding you or Falken ig

And if it's outside any work for the Esper Union, you probably end up cuddling a lot anyway. When you both are settled into the relationship, that most likely means sharing a home or apartment or whatever. He seems like a tea drinker, so he'd most likely have a nice comforting cup of tea while you're snuggled up to him and he's got a book in another hand, but never work. Despite Falken being a bit of a stickler, he absolutely refuses to bring work home when he could be using that time to spend it with you. damn where can i get one of him.

While you're most likely to initiate, that isn't to say he doesn't do the same. (slight spoilers if you don't read the character story) There may be times when he's seeking you out and looking for reassurance; from his own anxieties and doubts over what he's doing is best both for himself and for you, to his feelings over his former friendship with Sander and the choices the other made. He kind of lets it build up, and so when he gets really stressed, that's when his thoughts will begin to wander and then spiral.

That's where his love for quality time really shines, because sometimes it's not exactly something that he finds easy to talk about. Instead, it feels much more comforting to simply relax with someone he cares about and not have to think about too much. (Bonus if you rub his back or play with his hair, man melts. But now may I offer the mental image of his hair down instead of his usual style in game... bless.)

Sometimes, dates can be you both cozy at home. Whether in bed or on your couch in a tangle of limbs either wide awake and talking about several different topics ranging from the funniest to the slightly serious and everything in between or just asleep (one of you snores) and dead to the world. Because while either Falken or the both of you are well put together, sometimes it's tiring jgdksjgs.

I don't think he'd be too bothered if you wanna cuddle a lot. Because as mentioned earlier, Falken really likes the time he spends with you (and is probably a little touch starved). There may be times when you both might not see each other given your respective responsibilities to the Esper Union, so that time together is extra special.
