What about hcs for Falken with a chief s/o who endangers themselves a lot?
why are all dislyte men so babygirl?
nav.
First off, this man would be extremely stressed by his s/o constantly putting themselves in danger with their actions. Whether it is facing off a group of miramon on their own or ambushing shadow guards, you're always first to be a part of a fight.
Thankfully, he can support you as you charge your way through enemy lines, although he is no medical professional, he carries a tiny first-aid kit just for you. But with his powers, he also makes sure to care for any blind spots that his s/o may not think about.
Someone tries to swipe or swing at you from behind? Nope, suddenly there's a magical falcon at your side and you can fight to your heart's content. (Something that you proceeded to do quite viciously.) The enemy's numbers scatter as you progress in your attacks, enough so that other members of the Union can get a chance to progress forward as well.
When things are finally settled, and adrenaline no longer courses through his veins, he won't say anything in front of whoever may be present. But oh boy, when you both are in private you can feel the disappointment in his demeanor alone. Now that you are no longer held to the adrenaline of the fight either, you look far too sheepish.
He isn't a yelling sort, but his words of concern still make you feel a little guilty. But that isn't his goal, he just wants you to be safe and just a little more careful. Falken cares a lot, and he doesn't want you to be hurt if you or he can help it. Yes, he knows and understands what you are capable of, but a part of himself still worries.
If you still throw yourself into danger, but after your little talk, you are more mindful of where you are and who is around you, both ally and foe, he definitely finds himself breathing a little easier. And if you see a magic-looking falcon around you, it's just him being a worrier, so pay him no mind. Although, that is a little easier said than done, so if said magical falcon is a little more affectionate because of you being more careful (because I like to think that the falcon is also an extension of his emotions too), ignore his flustered expression.

I think a lot about Sander having PTSD, the Sander we know now has this vibe of never doing physical work in his life but the one from the past definitely had it tough
I just think he has it to some extent, we know that the Dislyte world isn't exactly ideal to live in, theres literally very few habitable areas in it and I think Sander has definitely seen some stuff
I can imagine his army days being rather tough due to how basically all armed forces in Dislyte are dedicated to keeping miramon out of habitable areas which we know is extremely dangerous and he has likely seen a lot of comrades get crushed, bitten and impaled by miramon. Same thing when he joined the Union, probably dealing less with miramon caused tragedies but instead seeing up close the crimes and atrocities some espers can do or the way humans treat espers.
(I also have this little hc that he used to have a tail but he lost it in combat bc he was forced to cut it off)
And don't get me started on all the atrocities that happen daily on the Shadow Decree, even if he eventually got desensitized by it there has definitely been some that affected him, he just doesn't fully care anymore because he sees them as necessary and inevitable sacrifices for his goals(thats probably what he tells himself to feel better)
He definitely handles it rather..."well". To him is mostly disguising his true thoughts, ignoring them and anything triggering and desensitizing himself but he does show signs like disassociating, headaches, irritability, difficulty sleeping, nightmares, detachment and avoidance.
Also consider Falken being the only person on Earth that has seen Sander having a PTSD episode and being the only one that could calm him down. Nowadays Sander doesnt have episodes often but when he does, he's completely alone.

if you do requests for falken ( from dislyte ) , could you do headcanons with falken and a reader that loves to cuddle while they do stuff together ? to them it doesnt matter what theyre doing as long as theyre cuddling falken while doing it lol
so i lowkey haven't played dislyte as much as i did when i posted abt requests aimed for it, but falken is neat djkdajsk (now if only he'd come home cries)
and apologies for the bit of a wait on these, @fizzradioio i hope you enjoy!!

I lowkey think Falken definitely falls victim to the "rbf vibes without the actual rbf" deal. Sure, he's a little quiet compared to other people that he works with, but it does not mean he's adverse to casual touches or anything like that. He looks like the kind of guy whose love languages are quality time and touch. But anyway-
It's not a new occurrence to see him with his s/o in his office just hanging out once in a while. (would he have an office? i feel like he would LMAO) One can only look at so many reports before getting bored of them (not that he'd admit it), so once he sees you peering into his office with a small smile in greeting, that's when he knows he can let himself relax for a bit. ngl it's probably one of the things he looks forward to the most during the day.
if someone is searching for either one of you, they have to consider one thing, if they really need to find one of you, try to find out where the other is because 9 times out of 10, you both are going to be found together. But with the rare 1, good luck finding you or Falken ig
And if it's outside any work for the Esper Union, you probably end up cuddling a lot anyway. When you both are settled into the relationship, that most likely means sharing a home or apartment or whatever. He seems like a tea drinker, so he'd most likely have a nice comforting cup of tea while you're snuggled up to him and he's got a book in another hand, but never work. Despite Falken being a bit of a stickler, he absolutely refuses to bring work home when he could be using that time to spend it with you. damn where can i get one of him.
While you're most likely to initiate, that isn't to say he doesn't do the same. (slight spoilers if you don't read the character story) There may be times when he's seeking you out and looking for reassurance; from his own anxieties and doubts over what he's doing is best both for himself and for you, to his feelings over his former friendship with Sander and the choices the other made. He kind of lets it build up, and so when he gets really stressed, that's when his thoughts will begin to wander and then spiral.
That's where his love for quality time really shines, because sometimes it's not exactly something that he finds easy to talk about. Instead, it feels much more comforting to simply relax with someone he cares about and not have to think about too much. (Bonus if you rub his back or play with his hair, man melts. But now may I offer the mental image of his hair down instead of his usual style in game... bless.)
Sometimes, dates can be you both cozy at home. Whether in bed or on your couch in a tangle of limbs either wide awake and talking about several different topics ranging from the funniest to the slightly serious and everything in between or just asleep (one of you snores) and dead to the world. Because while either Falken or the both of you are well put together, sometimes it's tiring jgdksjgs.
I don't think he'd be too bothered if you wanna cuddle a lot. Because as mentioned earlier, Falken really likes the time he spends with you (and is probably a little touch starved). There may be times when you both might not see each other given your respective responsibilities to the Esper Union, so that time together is extra special.
