Mixing it up a bit: what are some of the unique flower names, where only one character has been submitted with it?
I love your question. I picked the ones refering to real plants (and mushrooms they got a pass for this tournament) who were only used once (Ex : if 2 characters are named after the same plant, even if their names are different, none of them will be in this list - think Ran, Dendrobium and Orchid) because the list's already taking me forever

Hiro REVIVER Interview with Famitsu July 2017
REVIVER is my favourite song from ALL LEAD TRACKS. Since my Japanese learning is not progressing anywhere and I still failed at memorizing Kanji, it was a good idea to make my demotivated brain go through another interview in which Hiro talked about REVIVER and the Hortensia Saga project.
This interview is pretty special because the interviewer is one of the music creators for Hortensia Saga, Mr. Makoto Sato from f4samurai *. I hope Google gave the correct pronunciation of his name.

To celebrate this, we interviewed MY FIRST STORY’s vocalist Mr. Hiro who worked on the songwriting and composition of the song. We heard what happened during the creation and the feelings incorporated in the lyrics. To be the listener of the story, we asked Mr.Makoto Sato* of f4samurai, who was involved as a creator for “Hortensia Saga” in the music production.

佐藤允紀氏(以下、佐藤): 本題に入る前に、Hiroさんは普段スマホゲームは遊ばれますか? 佐藤允紀氏(以下、佐藤) さとうまこときのし(いか、さとう): ほんだいにはいるまえに、Hiroさんはふだんすまほげーむはあそばれますか?さとうまこときのし(いか、さとう) Mr. Makoto Sato (hereinafter, Sato) : Before we get into the main subject, Hiro, do you usually play smartphone games?
Hiro氏(以下、Hiro): けっこうやっていますね。軽いものが中心ですが。やり始めるとどうしてものめり込んでしまっ て、仕事に影響が……。何度か注意されたこともあるので、いまは重いものは避けています。 Hiroし(いか、Hiro): けっこうやっていますね。かるいものがちゅうしんですが。やりはじめるとどうしてものめりこんでしまって、しごとにえいきょうが……。なんどかちゅういされたこともあるので、いまはおもいものはさけています。    Mr. Hiro (hereinafter, Hiro) : I do play them quite a bit. Although light things mainly. When I start doing it, I would be absolutely hogged on it and that is affecting my work …. . Since I have been warned (about it) several times, I avoid heavy things now.

佐藤 : となると『オルサガ』は……重いほうですね(笑)。僕は仕事柄ゲームを多くプレイしますし、いろいろなエンタメコンテンツも吸収するのですが、 Hiroさんは普段どんなコンテンツを吸収して、インスピレーションを受けますか? さとう: となると『おるさが』は……おもいほうですね(えみ)。ぼくはしごとがらげーむをおおくぷれいしますし、いろいろなえんためこんてんつもきゅうしゅうするのですが、Hiroさんはふだんどんなこんてんつをきゅうしゅうして、いんすぴれーしょんをうけますか? Sato: “Hortensia Saga" is … a heavy one (laugh). Though I play a lot of work-related games and absorb various entertainment contents but …. Hiro, what kind of contents do you usually absorb and receive inspiration from?
Hiro : 映画、ドラマ、マンガ、アニメ、本、RPGなど、物語性のあるものには影響を受けますね。主人公の成長物語が好きなんですよね。すぐ入り込んじゃっ て、よく感動して泣いていますね(笑)。 Hiro: えいが、どらま、まんが、あにめ、ほん、RPGなど、ものがたりせいのあるものにはえいきょうをうけますね。しゅじんこうのせいちょうものがたりがすきなんですよね。すぐはいりこんじゃって、よくかんどうしてないていますね(えみ)。 Hiro : I get influences from movies, dramas, comics, animation, books, RPG and such, and narrative things. We like the growth story of a hero, don’t we? (The one) directly penetrating you and (with which) you would be deeply moved and then you would be crying (laugh).
  佐藤 : では、そろそろ本題に。今回『オルサガ』第三部の主題歌を、ということでオファーさせていただいたのですが、正直受けていただけるとは思っていません でした(笑)。 さとう: では、そろそろほんだいに。こんかい『おるさが』だいさんぶのしゅだいかを、ということでおふぁーさせていただいたのですが、しょうじきうけていただけるとはおもっていませんでした(えみ)。 Sato : Well then, it’s about time for the main question. Since you guys were offered this theme song of the third installment of “Hortensia Saga" this time, but I did not expect to get such honesty though (laugh).
Hiro : いやいや(笑)、お話をいただけてうれしかったです。 Hiro: いやいや(えみ)、おはなしをいただけてうれしかったです。    Hiro: No, no. (Laugh), we were glad to get to tell you that.

佐藤 : ゲームの主題歌を制作するというのは初めてのことだったと思いますが、進め方なども含めていかがでしたか? さとう: げーむのしゅだいかをせいさくするというのははじめてのことだったとおもいますが、すすめかたなどもふくめていかがでしたか? Sato : I think that it was the first time for you to produce the theme song of a game, but how was it, including how did you go about (doing it)?
Hiro : そうですね、僕の場合、楽曲をなにもないところから作るよりも、なにかテーマがあったほうが作りやすいです。本当になんでもいいので。ですので、しっ かりとした世界観や物語がある『オルサガ』の楽曲制作はやりやすかったですね。 Hiro: そうですね、ぼくのばあい、がっきょくをなにもないところからつくるよりも、なにかてーまがあったほうがつくりやすいです。ほんとうになんでもいいので。ですので、しっかりとしたせかいかんやものがたりがある『おるさが』のがっきょくせいさくはやりやすかったですね。 Hiro : Well, in my case, it would be easier to create a song from something with a theme than from nothing. Because really anything (that can provide the base to work from) is okay. So, it was easy to produce the music of “Hortensia Saga" as there are a solid world view and stories already.
佐藤 : 『オルサガ』には“命を継いでいく”というテーマがあります。資料もお渡ししましたが、ここまでのストーリー展開も含めて「テーマとしては少し重いか な?」という部分はこちらも気になっていました。 さとう: 『おるさが』には“いのちをついでいく”というてーまがあります。しりょうもおわたししましたが、ここまでのすとーりーてんかいもふくめて「てーまとしてはすこしおもいかな?」というぶぶんはこちらもきになっていました。 Sato : “Hortensia Saga" has the theme of “inochi o tsuideiku / inheriting/continuing the destiny*“. Although you were handed out the materials, including the story development up to this point, the part of “Is this maybe a little heavy as a theme?”, I’m curious of that one.
* I still can’t quite grasp the concept of “ 命 / inochi”. So, my chosen translation could still be off-the-mark. Kindly please refer to this 命 Kanji explanation. Also an in-depth meaning of “inochi” here by Professor Masahiro Morioka from Waseda University. It will better help you to understand the lyrics at least.
Hiro : 重い……重かったですね(笑)。正直、深すぎて歌詞やメロディにどこまで織り込めるのかなと。1曲じゃ収まらないんじゃ、というくらい。いただいた資 料も何回も読み返しました。 Hiro: おもい……おもかったですね(えみ)。しょうじき、ふかすぎてかしやめろでぃにどこまでおりこめるのかなと。1きょくじゃおさまらないんじゃ、というくらい。いただいたしりょうもなんかいもよみかえしました。    Hiro : Heavy … yup it was heavy (laugh). Honestly, we were like, “How deeply can we incorporate the lyrics and melodies?”. “Can it fit in one song?”, it was like that. I read and reread the material I received many times as well.
佐藤 : かなり悩まれている様子は、僕たちにも伝わってきましたね。 さとう: かなりなやまれているようすは、ぼくたちにもつたわってきましたね。 Sato: It seems like that worried state of mind found its way to us too.
Hiro : いちばん悩んだのは、主人公の気持ちになって詞を書いたほうがいいのか、物語を俯瞰的に見た僕として書いたほうがいいのかという点ですね。結局、俯瞰 的に書くのはプロローグやエピローグの雰囲気になってしまうのかな、ということで主人公に感情移入していくことにしました。マイファスもいろいろなものを 継いできたバンドですし、自分たちと重ね合わせたりしながら作り上げていきました。なので、かなり時間がかかってしまって(笑)。 Hiro: いちばんなやんだのは、しゅじんこうのきもちになってことばをかいたほうがいいのか、ものがたりをふかんてきにみたぼくとしてかいたほうがいいのかというてんですね。けっきょく、ふかんてきにかくのはぷろろーぐやえぴろーぐのふんいきになってしまうのかな、ということでしゅじんこうにかんじょういにゅうしていくことにしました。まいふぁすもいろいろなものをついできたばんどですし、じぶんたちとかさねあわせたりしながらつくりあげていきました。なので、かなりじかんがかかってしまって(えみ)。    Hiro : The thing I was concerned the most was whether it was better to write the lyrics as the hero’s feelings, or whether I should write it as a bird’s eye view of the story. In the end, writing in bird’s eye view kind of turned into an atmosphere of prologue and epilogue, so by such a thing … that I decided to emphatize* with the hero. MY FIRST STORY is also a band that has continued on with various things, and I created it while overlapping with those. So because of that, it took quite some time (laugh).

佐藤 : あがってきた���がレコーディングギリギリでしたね(笑)。 Sato: It was like you got up and it was barely enough time for recording, huh (laugh)?
Hiro : すみませんでした(笑)。 Hiro :  Oopss ….. sorry (laugh).
佐藤 : ギリギリだったので心配したのですが、あがってきたものを一読して「これはスゴイものを作っていただいたな」と思いました。加えて、レコーディングの 様子にも驚かされましたね。一小節づつ時間をかけて調整していくというやり方、あれは一般的な手法なのでしょうか? さとう: ぎりぎりだったのでしんぱいしたのですが、あがってきたものをいちどくして「これはすごいものをつくっていただいたな」とおもいました。くわえて、れこーでぃんぐのようすにもおどろかされましたね。いちしょうせつづつじかんをかけてちょうせいしていくというやりかた、あれはいっぱんてきなしゅほうなのでしょうか? Sato : Though you were worried because it was barely enough time (for recording), but then I perused through the stuff you got up for and thought that “You made this awesome thing!“. At the same time, I was surprised by the state of the recording. How do you adjust over each bar, is that a common technique?
Hiro : いえ、一般的ではないですね。ふつうは通して何回か歌って、そのなかからいいところをつまんで行くことが多いと思います。僕は、タイアップだったり明 確なテーマがあったりするときは、一小節づつ手を入れながら作っていく方が合うと思います。ゲームやアニメといった非日常的なものはとくにそうですね。そ れから、今回はすばらしい映像も作っていただいて、そこに曲が乗ることも決まっていたので、映像に合わせる意味でも細かくやっていきました。    Hiro: いえ、いっぱんてきではないですね。ふつうはとおしてなんかいかうたって、そのなかからいいところをつまんでいくことがおおいとおもいます。ぼくは、たいあっぷだったりあきらなてーまがあったりするときは、いちしょうせつづつしゅをいれながらつくっていくほうがあうとおもいます。げーむやあにめといったひにちじょうてきなものはとくにそうですね。それから、こんかいはすばらしいえいぞうもつくっていただいて、そこにきょくがのることもきまっていたので、えいぞうにあわせるいみでもこまかくやっていきました。 Hiro : No, it is not common. Usually I sometimes go through and sing a few times, I think that it is often that you pick up a good place from among those. As for me, when I’m doing a tie-up or when there is a clear theme, I think that it is more suitable to touch up each bar while you’re making it. Especially with unusual things such as games and animation. Also, this time we had made a wonderful video, and since we had decided to put a song on that as well, so we went with doing it in fine details in the sense that it matches the video too.
佐藤 : こんなに丁寧に時間を掛けて作っていくものなんだな、と本当に驚きました。レコーディングも8時間ほどスタジオを押さえていただいていたのですが、ま さかフルで使うことになるとは……。 さとう: こんなにていねいにじかんをかけてつくっていくものなんだな、とほんとうにおどろきました。れこーでぃんぐも8じかんほどすたじおをおさえていただいていたのですが、まさかふるでつかうことになるとは……。 Sato : I was really surprised that the time you took was spent so carefully. Recording also held the studio down for about eight hours, but it indeed being turned out to be used in full … ….
Hiro : やり方としては、どうしても時間がかかってしまいますね(笑)。 Hiro : For any method, no matter what, things will take a bit of time absolutely (laugh).

佐藤 : レコーディングのときにHiroさんがものすごく気にかけて僕に話しかけてくださったのも印象的でした。レコーディングの時は会話などは極力しないも のなのかなと思っていました。 さとう: れこーでぃんぐのときにHiroさんがものすごくきにかけてぼくにはなしかけてくださったのもいんしょうてきでした。れこーでぃんぐのときはかいわなどはきょくりょくしないも���なのかなとおもっていました。 Sato :  I was also impressed that you Hiro suddenly caught up with me when you were recording. When doing recording, I thought that you shouldn’t be making conversations as much as possible.
Hiro : 自分でひとつテーマを掲げて作るときはエンジニアさんとしか話さないということもありますが、主題が自分ではない場合はディスカッションやコミュニ ケーションを重視しますね。今回であれば『オルサガ』を作っている方となんでもいいので色々と話して、そこから制作意図にしっかり合わせたいということで すね。それから、畑が違うものどうしの共同作業になるので、なんでも言いやすい雰囲気作りの面もあります。絶対あると思うんですよね「この歌詞は違うな」 とか「ここの歌いかたはこうしてほしいな」とか。そういうときに、主題を作った人たちからちゃんと意見を言ってもらえたほうが、いいものができますから。 Hiro: じぶんでひとつてーまをかかげてつくるときはえんじにあさんとしかはなさないということもありますが、しゅだいがじぶんではないばあいはでぃすかっしょんやこみゅにけーしょんをじゅうししますね。こんかいであれば『おるさが』をつくっているほうとなんでもいいのでいろいろとはなして、そこからせいさくいとにしっかりあわせたいということですね。それから、はたけがちがうものどうしのきょうどうさぎょうになるので、なんでもいいやすいふんいきづくりのめんもあります。ぜったいあるとおもうんですよね「このかしはちがうな」とか「ここのうたいかたはこうしてほしいな」とか。そういうときに、しゅだいをつくったひとたちからちゃんといけんをいってもらえたほうが、いいものができますから。     Hiro : Sometimes we talk only with the engineers when we create a theme by ourselves, but we focus on discussions and communication if the subject is not by ourselves. This time, with anyone who makes “Hortensia Saga”, anything at all, we do a lot of talking (with them) and from there we want to tightly match to the design intention of the production, so to speak. And then, through the team work of different specialized fields, there would also be an aspect of having the atmosphere where it is easy to say anything. I think it will always be there, you know, things like “These lyrics are different” or “I want to do this singing method here” and such. At such times, through properly getting the opinions of the people who created the subject, we would be able to create something good.
佐藤 : 『オルサガ』はおかげさまで長く続くタイトルになりまして、チームとしても思い入れが強いですから、Hiroさんのようなスタンスで受け止めていただ けたのは本当にうれしいです。 さとう: 『おるさが』はおかげさまでながくつづくたいとるになりまして、ちーむとしてもおもいいれがつよいですから、Hiroさんのようなすたんすでうけとめていただけたのはほんとうにうれしいです。 Sato : Thanks to “Hortensia Saga” that has become a long-continuing title, and myself as a team member* too, since my emotional attachment to it is strong, I’m so so glad to be receiving a standpoint like yours, Hiro.

  Announced back in January of 2020, the anime adaptation of Hortensia SAGA, a fantasy war-themed RPG for smart phones by SEGA Games, is scheduled to be released in Japan in January of 2021, and now the main cast, the main staff, and a new trailer have been revealed for the series.   Hortensia Saga is set in the kingdom of Hortensia, a nation that has known peace for some 700 hundred years as a result of being protected from invasion by the tributary states of Olivier and Camellia. However, on the fifth day of the 12th month in the year 767 of the King's Calendar, Camellia erupts into violent rebellion and monstrous demons appear, and the kingdom of Hortensia is plunged into a whirlpool of war. The story follows a group of young knights whose fates are caught up in the tragic conflict.

Welcome to the first official introduction of my original Magical Girl Story Little Beast Magica and her 8 most important characters! Some more fun little facts/mini-profiles under the cut but aside from that enjoy my sillies (and one not so silly !)
Lillith Young (voiced by Kimiko Glenn)
The Main Character! Good for her
After the death of her parents 2 years ago, Lillith one day starts dreaming of a strange world (Paradium) where Bug-Themed magical girls exist, working hard to protect their world from mysterious monsters that want to destroy everything. Wacky! Seems like perfect escapism to me!
Her eventual magical girl outfit (and powers) are Caterpillar (who are we kidding, Caterpie) themed!
Hortensia Sato (voiced by Stephanie Sheh)
Stereotypical "Excitable and Quirky Best Friend !!" She would do numbers on a Disney Channel Sitcome
We love her tho
Within Paradium, Magical Girls attend a special academy to train to be Magical Girls, and Hortensia is one of those trainees. After Lillith starts appearing in their world, Hortensia is the only other trainee with space available in her dorm, so Lillith moves in and now They're Besties and VERY excited to be magical girls together!!! Yippee!!! Surely her child-like naivety and optimism won't come around to bite her!
Her magical girl theme is a Honeybee!
Adonis Flor (voiced by Jeremy Jordan)
The #1 Best-At-Everything Magical Girl currently active in Paradium! He is favored by the narrative (me) and that is not a good thing for him!
Lillith's first exposure to Magical Girls when she arrived in Paradium, and BOY what an impression he made! He's very charming and good-natured, a real Superman type. Surely there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with him mentally, nothing at all! Just don't ask about his scar, why his hair isn't the same color as his eyebrows, anything about his childhood or anything about his personal life in general (here's a hint: he doesn't have one)
His Magical Girl theme is the Atlas Moth
Anh Freeman (voiced by Jordan Fisher)
Where Adonis is the general "best" Magical Girl, Anh is the one with the most Social Presence/Influence. He is litcherally an Influencer!
Another perspective on one's role and responsibilities within the Magical Girl system. While quite a few people don't quite respect Anh for how much he values the way he's viewed by the public, he's still a incredibly competent and celebrated Magical Girl. And, despite his VERY HEALTHY social media presence, he maintains a very strict Work-Life balance (helped by his PR manager and sister, Lin)
(although this is slightly undermined by his huge and pathetic unrequited Gay Crush on Adonis. He's been crushing since he was 12 he ain't stopping soon)
His Magical Girl theme is a dragonfly, specifically the Ebony Jewelwing Dragonfly!
Tacca Cuppheo (voiced by John Gallagher Jr.)
A very under-the-radar, disillusioned, play-by-his-own-rules kind of Magical Girl.
Is one of the VERY VERY FEW Magical Girls officially assigned to guarding/patrolling The Treeline, the part of Paradium bordering the forest where the monsters come from and thus the most vulnerable to attacks and plague breakouts. You'd think he'd be bitter from the sucky assignment, but his family is from The Treeline. Being able to protect it was his whole reason for becoming a Magical Girl, so he is perfectly content to let the higher ups ignore him and let him do his job as he pleases.
He thinks he likes being lonely, but he doesn't. He just never healthily grew out of his Angsty Teen phase (but he's getting there)
His Magical Girl theme is a Yellowjacket!
Valerian Allium (voiced by Eden Espinosa)
A Magical Girl a bit too obsessed with rankings and very good at getting in her own way. Kind of Lillith's self-proclaimed rival once she graduates.
Very angsty and stingy with her tragic backstory. All we got is that she is very determined to climb the ranks of Magical Girl-hood and to "prove herself." To who, I don't think even she is sure. A LOT of bark, but not as much bite - while she is quite Catty to Lillith and Hortensia when they first enter the field, she's pretty easily worn down to "vague tolerance" of the two.
Her Magical Girl theme is the Black Widow
(Fun fact, she doesn't know how to swim as inspired by the apparently MULTIPLE Black Widows that have drowned in my pool)
David Buleia (voiced by Clancy Brown)
Literally someone make him retire. A very Jaded Magical Girl far past his prime.
Being as uh... wise and experienced (aka old) as he is, he is assigned as Lillith's mentor once she graduates. He also ends up picking up Hortensia along the way since she and Lillith are a package deal. He is initially VERY against this idea, but as all grizzled old dudes tend to do, he gets very attached to the two very quickly.
His Magical Girl theme is the Rhinoceros Beetle (tbh, more Heracross than anything)
Ambassador Crina Allium (voiced by Meryl Streep)
As you can probably figure by the fact she's the only yt woman in this lineup, The Eventual Main Villain!
Once a very high performing Magical Girl, kind of the Adonis of her time. After she retired from field work, she worked her way up to Ambassador (aka basically CEO) of the Magical Girl program! What a girlboss!
Other notable feats include being Valerian's very subpar mother, Adonis' mentor/mother figure and the bane of Tacca and David's existence
