A Little on the nose, hah. This is a pretty song that is uplifting, though a little sonber, much how I see their magic.

All of Looms relationships have been with compex people, all dealing with traumas. This I think reflects that. Especially their initial fall for Kyrril, they didn’t think they could fall for anyone.

I’ve always seen this as a vivid nightmare for equius, since a I feel like the song applies to them, like, as a character in general, not must my muse. Long, twisting, winding, confusing.

Basically, he was afraid of starting conversations, not having much to say, and then having it seem like he didn’t really WANT to become her friend. Because he does! He just only knows how to bake sweets and knit for people and doesn’t socialize much beyond that!!!

That, and also he’s kind of gathered that she needs a certain amount of space so he doesn’t want to come on too strong with his friendliness.

loom isn’t afraid to talk to her AT ALL and never has been, honestly. she’s blunt in a refreshing way and they know that they can be the same with her. she’s so open and honest, sometimes to a fault. The respect it, begrudgingly, and want to return the favor

((Talking to Scar is something of a minefield for Rose because she's never quite sure how something she says will be taken and so being the ever-avoidant introvert she is she just doesn't. She's had very mixed results in the past and it's just got her permanently on eggshells.
