Do you know what this world needs? More Undertale AUs!

Thanks to a particular way an anon wrote an ask that was sent to @undertale-writing-times , and my lack in brain cells, a prompt was formed:

@undertale-writing-times and I exchanged glances and decided to bring the creature into existence. Let's take this from the top, shall we?

(Note: I don't know at which part my brain turned into spaghetti, but that definitely happened. I really hope this is coherent. Also I don't know it I added enough swap juice, it's just swap isn't like a particular thing, it's just yknow. Frick)

This Alternate Universe takes place on the surface, in a world where the monster v human war never occurred. Despite this, the tensions between monsters and humans are, well, tense. The story of the AU takes place in a large and (naturally) corrupt city that is overrun with crime. Many small gangs ran amok, monster and human alike. But we focus on a large mafia that controls the East End of the city.

Admittedly, the line between mafia and 'a bunch of serial killers that help each other out' is a little blurry. Unlike most mafias, which prioritized money, control and finance, they prioritized body counts. They had some involvement in selling body parts on the black market, but many members struggled to keep the bodies in usable pieces which severely limited that route.

The head of the family is named Alphys and her right hand (and wife) is Dr. Undyne. Alphys is known for her careless displays of cruelty and her wisdom on when to implement it.

Dr. Undyne is known for her medicinal knowledge and her fascination with cutting people into small pieces. No one is sure if she actually has a doctorate and everyone knows better than to ask.

Among the members of the mafia are Ink and Error. Ink is known for his responsibility, efficiency and no nonsense attitude when it comes to the workings of the mafia. He takes no joy in hurting others, and gets his happiness from completing tasks and feeling purpose. He is easily angered and tends to be smug. His specialty was assassinations.

Error on the other hand was careless. He sported bright smiles that he barely felt and laughed with his whole body. He rarely got attached to things and focused on what was fun rather than what was important. The only thing he could possibly be considered careful with was his own life. There was one person that Error looked out for and it was himself, though he'd try to convince you that he was everything but. A big talker, ridiculously chill and a hopeless liar. Error rarely felt angry, or any emotions at all for that matter and thrived on bursts of adrenaline. Error enjoyed tearing living things apart with his bare hands, but was rarely able or allowed to.

Plot ramble/idea here:

(Blah blah blah Error gets captured and with a mixture of betrayal and bribery gets his name cleared and lands everyone in the mafia but Ink in prison. Obviously, Ink is pissed but what's he gonna do about it, cry? No! He breaks them out. Of course, this takes ten years (in which he goes a little bit crazy) and the prisons are inhumane and whatnot (they weren't executed on the grounds of there not being enough evidence to back up most/all of the murders and whatnot). Basically, the inhumane prison leaves them coming out severely weirder than before (and they were already freaking weird). After everyone escapes, they hunt Error down for some sweet sweet revenge. Our boi, Error, has been committing some murders on the side, for fun or whatever. Anyhow they beat him up and leave him barely alive. They smash a hole in his skull and say that he'll remember them by the pain, if he lives. And you guessed it, he totally lives. And his head has a hole in it. This makes him even more cheery, detached and senile. It finally hits Ink that Error didn't betray him to the cops or something and I guess they make up, idk)

Notes: pre-betrayal no one is insane just really evil, post betrayal everyone is severely brain chomped and just as evil as before.

Mafia Horror AUs (Info Dump)

Warnings: Violence, mafia, etc.

Butcher - Mafiahorrortale Sans

Personality: In contrast to Sharp, he is distant and distrustful, but he eventually overcomes his concerns and learns to trust his coworkers and friends. He leans on his friends and loved ones and is frequently only sweet to him. In his line of business, he is quick and efficient, and he pays attention to even the tiniest things. When confronted with probable danger, he frequently shows little to no fear and typically makes a joke about it. He has a laid-back personality and is an excellent cook. He knows what he's doing and has an amazing shot.

Appearance: He has a large scar on his eye and a scar on his eyebrow. He also has a big crack straight crack in his skull that leads to his eye scar.

Arsenic - Mafiahorrortale Papyrus

Personality: He is a hitman with a good shot, but he rarely uses his shooting talents for actual hits because he prefers to be an informant. He is very nice and intelligent. When it comes down to it, he has a rigorous moral code that is a little twisted. He places a high value on the safety of his loved ones and his brother. He's direct and rarely sugarcoats his actions. He discovers that he has greater control over his rage than he had when he was younger. When you put his loved ones at risk, he becomes outraged immediately and will not tolerate it. He isn't afraid to get dirty, but he would prefer not to.

Appearance: He is definitely a Papyrus! But he has a scar on his nose ridge that leads connects with a scar on his left eye.

Euchre - Mafiahorrortale Gaster

Personality: He is Butcher and Arscenic's older brother. He is frequently cold and rude, but he loves and cares for his sibling. He is very down to earth and is concerned with his family's welfare. He is completely committed to his work. He has a great sense of humor and is very caring to his family. He is devoted to his family and reared his brothers. He is more than willing to murder someone in order to protect his family. He is willing to get his hands dirty in the field to ensure their survival. He assures that they follow their vow of silence and strives to build devices to assist the mafia in their mission.

Appearance: He has a scar under his left eye and a large scar on his right. He has a blue eyelight and a faded orange eyelight.

Diamond - Mafiahorrorswap Sans

Personality: Diamond, like Spade, is a big drama queen and a heavy hitter. He is incredibly intelligent and knows a lot about a lot of individuals. He works tirelessly to ensure that everything is in order. He's a nice man who is far too self-assured. He is wary of outsiders at first but gradually warms up to them. He's a hitman who doesn't mind getting his hands filthy. His bite hurts considerably more than his bark. He is really kind, bold, and cheerful. He makes such a racket that it's almost amusing. He is typically reclusive and appears anxious. He works hard and maintains a hectic schedule.

Appearance: He has a large scar on his right eye. He can't really see through it.

Vulpine - Mafiahorrorswap Papyrus

Personality: He is a self-assured and flirtatious skeleton. He is silent, but his dark and mysterious aura draws others to him. He enjoys making people laugh and pranking them. He has a nasty sense of humor and is good at annoying his opponents. He is self-assured and easily exhausted. He overstresses himself frequently, although not on purpose. He's not afraid to antagonize them since he knows he'll win if they hit him. He cares about his friends and family. He is a well-known joker who delights in surprising his business associates. He's also a hacker, and no database is safe from him. He's tough as nails, and when things get serious, they go serious.

Appearance: He has a small scar on the bottom of his eye. He has a tattoo on his femur of a white and black lily.

Cess - Horrormafiaswap Gaster

Personality: He is the elder brother of Vulpine and Diamond. He is both weird and happy. He attacks the throat. However, do not dismiss him as an idiot because he is quite intelligent and can quite well read a room. As he attracts people into his magic shop, he has the power to appear friendly and interesting. He would go to any length to ensure the survival of his family. He strikes bargains and ensures that all of the lines are almost exactly crossed. His younger brothers admire him. He is very protective. He has the potential to be a haughty, cruel (to a point), and manipulative leader.

Appearance: He has large scars on both of his scars. He has bright blue and light orange eyelights.

Lyle - Mafiahorrorfell Sans

Personality: He is harsh, flirtatious, and devoted. He has an obscene sense of humor. He is devoted to his family. He is straightforward and honest. In relationships, he is more dependable than a dog. He is fierce and protective. He's the most powerful hitter, and he'll screw you over until one of his friends or siblings arrives. He's also the hottest guy in town, and he's well aware of it. When his loved ones are in danger, he will go for the throat. He takes betrayal personally and is frequently enraged for days if not months. He is devoted to his family and would never harm them if he could avoid it.

Appearance: He has a single gold tooth, but his gold tooth is sharper than his other teeth. He has a large scar on his right eye. He has a lot of rings. He has a tattoo on the back of his shoulder blade of a heart with a bandage wrapped around it.

Boss - Mafiahorrorfell Papyrus

Personality: He's the most difficult to catch off guard. He's abrasive and goes for the throat. He is really When he is not with his loved ones or feels there is danger, he is constantly on edge. He's tough and quick, yet he's also a lovely guy to some level. He is enthusiastic and proud, yet he is also a perfectionist. When someone he doesn't know touches or flirts with him, he can act like a feral cat. He comes out as chilly and distant. He is the most easily annoyed member of the group, but he maintains his cool. When he is threatened, he can be nasty. He is primarily responsible for healing and acting as the group's doctor.

Appearance: He has a large scar on his eye, but much more jagged.

Affray - Mafiahorrorfell Gaster

Personality: His younger brothers are Lyle and Boss. He is the mafia's strongest member. Most civilians perceive him as kind and gentle since they are unaware he is a mafia member. He enjoys giving his lovers nicknames and is a flirt. He can and will be passive-aggressive and disagreeable to anyone he perceives as a threat in a polite setting; otherwise, he's plain blunt and won't be afraid to say it. He adores his brothers and will go to any length to secure their survival. He only offers nicknames to individuals he truly likes. When he's agitated, his bite is far more harmful than his bark, which can be lethal.

Appearance: He has a large painful scar under his left and a large and straight scar on his right. He has two dark red eyelight. He wears rings. He likes to sneak red into his outfits.
