The air was thick with the sent of blood and death, it made her stomach churn at the thought that's what was left of her father. Maybe he was telling the truth, but she wasn't going to take his word for it. So, Olivia tried to muster up all the courage she had, and opened her eyes as she shot up and pushed past him. She made a race for the door, nearly slipping in the blood pooling on the floor.

Recommended horrorflicks would be soooooo welcome. I have seen The Stand - both versions. Despite Alaxander Skarsgård and Whoopii Goldberg, I prefer the original version.

Both are good in their own way. I'm a sucker for Stephen King adaptations. His novels and short stories, too. His were the first adult horror books I read.

Recommendations depend on what type of horror movies or shows you like. Not everyone enjoys the whole genre.

If we start with King (since you liked both versions of The Stand), I personally love 1408, Christine, Pet Sematary (both versions are good, I prefer the original), Carrie (original is best by far), The Shining, The Mist, IT (all of IT is good), and Misery. Those are the more well received of the ones I love. I also love Dreamcatcher, Secret Window, and both Creepshows. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

I deeply love the Saw franchise. Same goes for Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street. The Insidious movies are great. So is the Conjuring universe of movies.

I just started Cabinet of Curiosities today. So far, so good. I love a good anthropology series. Speaking of which, American Horror Story is good. Especially the earlier seasons. American Horror Stories is good as well. I enjoyed most of the episodes of Two Sentence Horror Stories.

I'm trying to think of other movies. Unprompted, my brain is full of them. The second someone asks me a question, they disappear 😂.

Skeleton Key, The Woman in Black, Lights Out, The Strangers (I haven't seen the latest in this line, but the rest were good), Oculus, Silence of the Lambs (Anthony Hopkins as Lector is top notch), Evil Dead (I enjoy the franchise. It's campy but I love it.), Crimson Peak, Sleepy Hollow, Psycho (original), Babadook, Fright Night, so many....
