Bedroom Wallpaper Ideas That Add Instant Elegance
Your bedroom is your personal sanctuary—a place to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate. The right decor can set the tone for how you feel every time you step into the room, and nothing transforms a space quite like wallpaper. If you’re looking to add a touch of elegance to your space, consider using wallpaper for bedroom decor. Whether you prefer a subtle, minimalist look or a bold, luxurious statement, the right wallpaper can elevate your bedroom instantly.
Here, we explore a variety of bedroom wallpaper ideas that will bring elegance to your space and create a sophisticated atmosphere.
1. Floral Wallpaper for Timeless Elegance
Floral wallpaper remains a top choice when it comes to adding an elegant touch to any bedroom. With patterns ranging from large, bold blooms to soft, delicate florals, there’s a style for every taste. Classic floral prints can evoke a sense of romance, while modern interpretations with muted tones add a contemporary feel.
Wallpaper for bedroom settings often focuses on creating a calming ambiance, and floral designs are perfect for achieving this. Opt for floral wallpaper in soft pastels for a dreamy, feminine vibe, or go for deep jewel tones to create a more dramatic and luxurious atmosphere. Floral patterns can cover an entire room or serve as an accent wall behind the bed for a subtle yet impactful statement.
2. Textured Wallpaper for Added Depth
If you want to add a sense of depth and dimension to your bedroom, textured wallpaper is a great option. It’s a subtle way to bring sophistication into the space without overwhelming the design. Popular textures include linen, silk, grasscloth, and even faux brick or stone.
Textured wallpaper not only looks elegant but also provides a tactile experience, creating a cozy and inviting environment. When choosing textured wallpaper for bedroom decor, stick to neutral tones like beige, soft grey, or cream to maintain a clean, sophisticated look. For added richness, metallic textures can also be incorporated for a luxe finish.
3. Geometric Patterns for Modern Elegance
For those who love modern design, geometric wallpaper is an excellent way to add elegance to the bedroom. Geometric patterns create a sense of structure and order, making them ideal for sleek, minimalist interiors. The key to using geometric wallpaper for bedroom settings is to balance the bold patterns with softer furnishings and decor to avoid overwhelming the space.
Opt for metallic or muted geometric patterns to maintain an elegant atmosphere. A black and white or gold and cream combination works particularly well for a chic, modern look. Geometric wallpaper is perfect for feature walls, especially behind the bed or around a sitting area.
4. Classic Damask for Luxurious Charm
Damask wallpaper is synonymous with luxury and elegance. This timeless pattern, often featuring intricate floral and symmetrical designs, adds a regal feel to any bedroom. For a classic, opulent look, choose damask wallpaper in rich tones like deep blues, reds, or golds. This type of wallpaper for bedroom spaces works best when paired with elegant furnishings, such as a tufted headboard, vintage chandeliers, or ornate mirrors.
For a more understated take on damask, opt for tone-on-tone versions where the pattern subtly plays with light and shadow. This approach keeps the space sophisticated and calming, perfect for a bedroom sanctuary.
5. Striped Wallpaper for Height and Sophistication
Striped wallpaper is a classic choice for adding sophistication and visual interest to any bedroom. Vertical stripes can make your bedroom ceiling appear higher, creating the illusion of space, while horizontal stripes can make a narrow room feel wider.
When it comes to choosing wallpaper for bedroom decor, soft, neutral stripes in beige, grey, or light pastels create an elegant and serene atmosphere. For a bolder statement, you can opt for contrasting stripes in deep colors like navy and white or black and gold. Striped wallpaper also pairs well with both modern and traditional furnishings, making it a versatile choice.
6. Metallic Wallpaper for a Glamorous Touch
If you're looking to add a touch of glamour and luxury to your bedroom, metallic wallpaper is the way to go. Reflective wallpapers, whether in silver, gold, or bronze, instantly bring a high-end feel to the room. Metallic accents add light and shine, creating a more spacious and airy vibe.
Metallic wallpaper for bedroom designs work exceptionally well in darker rooms that need more light or in spaces where you want to create a focal point, such as behind the bed or on a dressing room wall. Pair metallic wallpaper with velvet or silk furnishings for a truly luxurious atmosphere.
7. Minimalist Wallpaper for Subtle Sophistication
For those who prefer a more understated aesthetic, minimalist wallpaper designs can still add elegance to a bedroom without being overly dramatic. Subtle textures, soft colors, and clean lines can bring a sense of peace and sophistication to the space.
Neutral-colored wallpaper for bedroom settings, such as whites, soft greys, or beiges, allows you to create a serene environment that promotes rest and relaxation. Minimalist wallpaper often features subtle patterns like chevrons, pinstripes, or small geometric shapes that add visual interest without overwhelming the room.
8. Tropical and Nature-Inspired Designs for Tranquility
Another popular wallpaper for bedroom trend in 2024 is nature-inspired designs. Tropical motifs, such as palm leaves, ferns, and exotic flora, are perfect for creating a tranquil, spa-like atmosphere. These designs bring a piece of the outdoors into your bedroom, which can help foster a peaceful and relaxing environment.
Nature-inspired wallpapers in soft greens or muted blues work wonderfully as a calming backdrop in a bedroom. For a more dramatic take, darker hues with bold tropical prints can create a lush, sophisticated space. These designs work well as accent walls or as a statement in larger bedrooms.
How to Choose the Perfect Wallpaper for Your Bedroom
Selecting the right wallpaper for your bedroom is all about balancing elegance with personal style. Here are a few tips to guide your decision:
Room Size: For smaller bedrooms, light-colored wallpaper with subtle patterns can create the illusion of space, while larger rooms can handle bolder, more dramatic designs.
Feature Wall: If you’re hesitant about committing to a full room of wallpaper, start with a feature wall behind the bed or in a sitting area to add interest without overwhelming the space.
Mood: Consider the mood you want to create. Softer tones and minimalist designs are perfect for creating a serene atmosphere, while bold, luxurious patterns like damask or metallics add a sense of grandeur.
Lighting: Metallic or light-reflecting wallpaper can brighten up a darker room, while textured wallpaper adds warmth to a well-lit space.
Final Thoughts: Elevate Your Bedroom with Elegant Wallpaper
Choosing the right wallpaper for bedroom decor can completely transform your space, adding instant elegance and personality. From timeless florals to modern geometric designs, there are endless options to suit any taste and aesthetic. Whether you opt for textured, metallic, or nature-inspired wallpaper, the key is to choose a design that reflects your personal style and enhances the elegance of your sanctuary.

At the Head of the Bed: A Brief Headboard Handbook
It’s the dominant presence in nearly every bedroom, for obvious reasons. It’s likely the largest, consisting of a footboard, frame, box spring, mattress, and of course, the headboard. Custom Furniture Store
The headboard is a bed’s defining characteristic. As the initial focal point, it is the most visible component, the decorative mainstay. A matter of curiosity is the necessity from which it was borne. An effective barrier against the cold and drafts was needed to ensure the warmth of sleeping occupants. And it was so designed. Having long since become a universal staple of décor, it is most often propped against a wall, thereby defeating its original intended purpose.
Headboards are often built-in, solidly inserted into a bed’s construction. But they may also be purchased separately, and attached to a wall instead. Such versions are known as ‘floating’ and allow for more options, particularly size-wise. Either type can be found made with the same primary materials such as wood, upholstered fabric or metal. They may also share the same construction. A slatted headboard for instance, featuring a row of vertical slats, can be of either wood or metal, yet offer an entirely different look. For instance, a wood version is likely to have flat plank slats, while a metal one is most typically a tubular design.
A canopy style may also be made from any of a variety of materials. Posts emerge from each side of the headboard reaching an overhead frame that extends to the foot of the bed where it connects to an identical pair of posts. Ruffled cloth draping is used to enclose the framework.
Panel styling, on the other hand, is strictly a wooden affair (or a facsimile thereof), providing a horizontally-arranged rustic juxtaposition of multiple like-sized panels brush-finished to highlight their natural wood grain, which is sometimes raised for texture. Another primary example of a wooden design is the bookcase headboard. Just as the name suggests, it features shelves and nooks that are fully functional. A popular convenience, it combines practical storage with easy accessibility for those that read in bed.
Meanwhile, a softer ambience can be achieved with a headboard upholstered in fabric. Naturally, it’s the most comfortable for those that rest their head on, or sit up against, for better positioning when TV or phone gazing. It’s a cushioned surface, covered with any one of a number of fabric types. The use of linen, velvet, suede, or cotton establishes a specific look and is often accented by button or faux-diamond tufting or nail-head trim.
Each of the styles has something else in common – they come in a countless variety of shapes and sizes. Squared, rounded, arched, over-sized – each make a statement specific to your personal taste. Plus with countless color, style and accent options, a reasonable investment of time will likely result in the perfect ideal. That’s good for you, your comfort, and your room’s décor!

Hey, could I request more of that ‘Alan has cancer’ fic please? With Scott looking after Alan when he’s not feeling well, like a really tender moment?
sure! i hope you dont mind me nabbing prompt number 4. “Please stay with me.” for this. its based on the number in your URL :] (i would have also grabbed 7 for fun but theres no way im fitting that sentence in lol)
ill be accepting prompts until tomorrow morning, so get them submitted within the next 7 ish hours if you haven't yet and want to! the prompts are pinned at the top of my blog <3 (im going to bed snnnzzzz)
cw for mentions of cancer/cancer symptoms as well as chemotherapy
technical first part to this story but you don't have to read to understand
Scott vividly remembered a memory of both John and Virgil banning him from the kitchen. They already had Grandma to start fires for them, they don't need Scott helping.
But even they would have to be willing to forgive him for dabbling with their janky pancake maker considering the circumstances.
"It's started," Virgil plainly stated while standing on the other side of Scott's desk.
The brunet could only look up confused, the paper he was reading previously loosely gripped in his hand with one of his favorite pens in the other, "What started?"
Virgil sighed, but not at Scott, just at the situation in general, "I was helping Alan get ready this morning and started brushing his hair. I got about four brushes in before a clump of hair fell out."
Well, what great news to start the day off with.
"Jesus," Scott could only lightly slam the paper and pen he was holding down onto the table to push his wrists into his eyes. "Jesus Christ."
They were all expecting it to happen sooner rather than later, still didn't suck any less.
Virgil walked around to place a gentle hand on his brother's shoulder, rhythmic with his comforting rubs as much as possible, "Yep."
Scott left a hand on the side of his face as he looked out over their house with a shake of his head, staring off into space as a million thoughts raced behind his eyes, "God, why Alan out of all people, out of us? What has he done in his life to deserve this?"
Virgil shrugged his shoulders, swallowing the spit in his mouth as he proceeded to look out over the room just like Scott, "Nothing, absolutely nothing, which is why cancer sucks so much. People who get it never deserve all the pain it brings with it."
John mentioned something about eating lots of healthy things during treatment, didn't he?
Scott grabbed a cup from one of the cabinets before heading over to the fridge. Filling the plastic container to the top with some grapes, pineapple, and carrots (Alan's favorites), Scott went back to the tray to place it on there and leaned away a little bit to make sure everything on it looked presentable.
A few pancakes, a cup of juice, utensils, and now a cup of fruits and veggies.
Scott sighed while carefully grabbing the edges of the whole thing, hoping it would be enough (would anything be enough right now?).
Making his way to Alan's room quietly, he used one of his feet to prod the door open to the kid's room, leaning over the tray in his hands to peek inside. With the sun rising over the horizon and peering in from the window, the room was lit up just enough to make Alan's outline on the bed, IV and all.
For the most part, patients tended to receive their treatment in a clinic or hospital, but occasionally, with the help of an on-site nurse, chemotherapy can be given at a person's own home. With both Brains' and Virgil's expertise, it wasn't that hard convincing the staff to release Alan and to let him stay with his own family.
They weren't dumb with it, and anything they were even slightly unsure about involved inviting a private doctor to the island to help them out, but for the most part, they knew the best thing they could do for the kid was letting him be in a familiar environment he felt safe at.
With a soft 'click', the door was pushed back shut with the same foot he used to open it. Scott took a deep breath, "Alan?"
He thought he would need to speak again before the youngest finally stirred and rotated himself around to look at the door. Once he noticed who was in his room and what that person was carrying, he sat up on his hands and knees with an ear-to-ear grin, "Scott!"
Scott was sure to hide the way he wanted to grimace at how Alan sounded, "Hey Allie, I got something for ya."
Walking over to the bed, Scott leaned down to place the food on Alan's lap, grinning at how happy the smile on his face was. Sitting down on the edge of the covers, Scott crossed his arms as he stayed to make sure nothing went wrong.
Ignoring how Alan's hand trembled while holding the fork, Scott watched Alan take a bite of pancake. He hummed around the utensil in his mouth, words mumbled as he spoke with food in his mouth, "Wow, this is great! Did Virgil make this?"
Scott laughed, though it had a hint of unsureness behind it, "Um, thank you, but no, I made it."
Alan moved to munch on some grapes as he absorbed the words, "But John said you weren't allowed to use the kitchen any more?"
Dirty snitches the lot of his brothers were, sometimes. With a fond sigh, Scott reached forward and ruffled Alan's hair the softest he ever had, "Well, he can take it up with me later if it bothers him so much."
Alan giggled before continuing on and finishing the breakfast Scott made for him. Nothing else needed to be said, everything the two of them needed could be achieved by just being in each other's presence. It almost felt like an eternity, with how slowly Alan was eating, but eternity was exactly how much time Scott had for his brothers anyway.
Setting the fork down, Alan leaned back with a blissed-out sigh, "That hit the spot. Thanks again Scooter."
Scott nodded, "Of course, it was my pleasure."
The brunet stood up and stretched his arms above his head to get the knots out of his back. Before he could fully reach down to grab the tray for when he left the room, Alan shot forward and wrapped his hand around his older brother's wrist.
The grip laughably weak, yet it still tugged on Scott's heart all the same. Despite it all, Alan still had the ability to whip out an absolutely stellar pair of puppy-dog eyes, "Please stay with me."
Scott had a lot to do today. He had to sign a bunch of papers, make a few phone calls, and he still wasn't sure whether or not he needed to go to the mainland for an in-person meeting. Still, "Sure thing, bub."
As gently as he could, Scott lowered himself back onto the bed next to Alan, grabbing the now-free-of-food tray and setting it onto the table next to them. Worming his way closer to the headboard to be more comfortable, Scott had all of two seconds before Alan's head was on his shoulder and the kid's arms were wrapped around his right one.
With a fond sigh, Scott pulled out his phone, content with the idea that he'd probably be hunkering down for a while. After a few rings, he held it horizontal as John's hologram appeared before him.
He spoke quietly, "Hey John, do you mind rescheduling anything I have for today for later in the week? Something came up, I'm gonna be kind of busy."
Noticing the tuft of blond in the corner of Scott's hologram, John didn't need to be told twice, "Sure thing, Scott."

Bedroom Furniture
The bedroom is a vital part of your home. This oasis should be both inviting and comfortable, as well as functional. When it comes to purchasing bedroom furniture, it's critical to maximize your investment. Whether you're looking for a new bed, chest and dressers, or accessories, our Green Bay bedroom furniture store has a wide selection. Continue reading for a list of five simple tips to help you choose the best bedroom furniture for your needs. 1. Maintain a high standard of quality Your new bedroom furniture should be attractive, but also durable. Consider purchasing new furniture with solid wood construction and smooth-closing drawers on chests or dressers. The objective is to invest in bedroom furniture that will last for years. When you skimp on the quality of your furniture, you'll almost certainly need to replace it within a few years. Examine each item's construction carefully and ensure that it meets your requirements for material quality and construction. Visit our Green Bay bedroom furniture store to get a better look at our products and to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. Along with the construction method, you'll want to look for brand names you recognize and trust. Examine the joints closely to determine the quality of your bedroom furniture. High-quality wood furniture should have screwed or doweled joints. A block attached to the corners of the furniture will reinforce it and ensure its longevity for years to come. Avoid joints that are visible to be stapled, nailed, or have visible glue on the corners. Your bedroom furniture's frames should rest evenly on the floor and should not wobble or creak when moved. Ascertain that your furniture is scratch-resistant, and inquire about manufacturer warranties. All veneers should be constructed from solid wood or high-quality plywood to ensure their durability. 2. Purchase Furniture That Is Appropriate for Your Style When purchasing bedroom furniture, you want to ensure that it complements both your personality and the room's theme. If you're looking for something romantic, consider upholstered headboards or soft color finishes. If you prefer a more contemporary look, consider furniture with a modern design and sleek detailing. If you're a fan of the industrial trend, bedroom dressers and nightstands can be made of metal and wood. Whatever your style, you will be dissatisfied with the furniture if it does not assist you in creating the ideal space. Take your time and explore the variety of styles available to ensure that the furniture you purchase will complement your personal style. Casual bedroom furniture should be light in color and have an unobtrusive silhouette devoid of ornate details. If you're looking for something glam, look for furniture with mirrored drawer fronts or tufted upholstery embellished with rhinestones. If you prefer rustic or industrial designs, wood headboards and footboards are an excellent choice. The finish on your furniture should also reflect your personal style, and can range from neutral shades of brown and tan to rich, deep hues such as cherry and mahogany. 3. Priority should be given to storage It can be challenging to keep your bedroom organized with everything from belts and ties to winter sweaters. Concentrate on storage to keep this room as neat and tidy as possible. Consider storage beds with built-in drawers if you have a small bedroom. A bedroom chest and dressers should have an abundance of drawers and shelving to ensure that you always have enough space to organize your clothing and accessories. Depending on the size of the room and the amount of storage required, you can opt for a large horizontal dresser with numerous drawers or two smaller three-drawer chests. Examine the range of bedroom storage options available to ensure you have adequate storage space. 4. Incorporate Accent Furniture to Increase Functionality When you consider purchasing bedroom furniture, you are unlikely to consider tables and chairs. However, you can maximize the use of your bedroom by incorporating a few accent pieces. You can also use your bedroom as a home office if you have the space. A vanity table and stool can assist you in creating a dedicated area for primping and prepping for the day ahead. Benches at the foot of your bed provide a place to sit and remove your shoes. There are numerous beautiful options for bedroom accent furniture that not only enhance the appearance of your bedroom, but also its functionality. A plush ottoman or chaise lounge placed near your bedroom window provides a relaxing spot to unwind, read a good book, or simply enjoy the view. 5. Complete the Look with Accessorize Purchasing bedroom furniture entails more than simply purchasing a bed and dresser. You can complete your bedroom with a few accessories that will infuse this space with personality. For added brightness and reflection, look for large mirrors to hang on the back of the door or over your dresser. A patterned area rug will add color and texture to your bedroom while also providing a soft surface for your floors. Area rugs are particularly beneficial in bedrooms with hardwood floors. Additionally, the bedding you select contributes to the creation of an individual aesthetic. Whether it's a solid-color comforter or a vibrant duvet set, choose bedding and throw pillows that complement the bedroom's décor. On top of your dresser, hang a few pieces of artwork or arrange some of your favorite framed photographs. Each accessory you add will enhance and personalize the bedroom.

How to redesign a bedroom using a Bed Head Panel?
Whether one is considering to do a comprehensive face-lift of one’s boudoir, or just tidy up space, replacing the Bed Head Panel is one method that will make an important influence on your room. To initiate, one will need to make enterprise choices about the supplies one will prefer and whether the BHP will base to the partition, divan, or be unrestricted standup. From there, one can control the chic and magnitude that’s the best fit for yourself.
The best circumstance to commence when selecting one’s Continuous Bed Head Panel is with the supplies. By selecting the kind that expresses the best for you and your project style, one will slim down one’s choices and find to some degree that respects the decoration in the room. The main material types to choose from are timber, metallic, padding, and normal threads.
Wood Bed Head Panels are the old-style substance for bed edges. Frequently used to make comfortable, sophisticated boudoir style, they are the basis for some of the most iconic and characteristic bedpost kinds by Bed Head Panel manufacturers. Toboggan couches are usually manufactured from timber, and board and plank cots characteristically contain the material as well. Wood BHPS are multipurpose and can be blemished, tinted, or joined with metallic rudiments to create an exclusive plan that fits with the decoration of any area. Metal panels found with Bed Head Panel Dealers are fashioned from a diversity of materials, but most often they’re made from Iron. Prevalent in the Victorian era, shaped iron headboards are tough and long-term if correctly cared for. It’s significant to note; one will need to keep the metallic spotless to avoid corrosion and worsening over time. Padding panels supplied by the Bed Head Panel suppliers add a hint of sophistication to a bedroom. Enclosed with cloths like microfiber, linen, or velvet, some choices are profoundly amplified while others are tufted to add the comfortable feature. The stuffing makes this choice contented to lean against, and it’s a good choice if you are someone who wants to use your Horizontal Bed Head Panel as sustenance while sedentary up in bed. One important bonus of selecting a fabric-covered panel is that one can generate a one-of-a-kind project that equals one’s decoration flawlessly, or stands out as a declaration part in the room. Pure fiber headboards look great in unplanned boudoirs or with a countryside project arrangement. This choice includes interlaced biological material, like seagrass, abaca, cane, or rattan into understated, unintentional designs.
After one has chosen the material that looks best in one’s space, it’s time to consider what connection choices are obtainable. Note that not headboard types manufactured by Bed Head Panel manufacturers in India will offer all the insetting choices. Some are constructed to base straight to one’s bed setting, while others are only intended to be wall-mounted or free standup. Some models available with Bed Head Panel suppliers in India may be connected in more than one method, so one should ensure that one checks the specifications before one buys.
The size of one’s bed-chamber and the extent of the partition your Bedhead Panel will be fitted alongside can help one define which chic and kind are best for oneself. If one has a small space, choosing a selection with extended lines can improve the space. If the wall space is restricted, a frame-fitted choice that is the exact size of the bed may be the best fit. On the additional hand, if one has a large exposed wall of unfilled space, one can include some stimulating design rudiments into one Vertical Bed Head Panel to get a mixture of functionality and lovely decoration all in one.

Painted Brick Cottage
Hello, my friends! How are you today? Many plans for the weekend? I certainly hope this brick cottage brings you some joy!
Recently built by Gerrard Builders Hillside House and with interiors by Shannon Bowman Interiors and Carolina Design Associates, this cottage is truly a dream home! In my opinion, it is the perfect size and features interiors and an exterior that will overcome any trends. You can look at this home in ten years and you will think it was just designed.
Here, the interior designer Shannon Bowman, whom I am very thankful for for sharing all the sources below, explains more about the style of this home: “Cozy and Cottage Chic was our goal, however keeping a light and airy pallet almost gives it a coastal vibe. We wanted to keep the charm of the original architecture and blend it with a newer farmhouse/cottage design.”
Find a comfy chair and pin your favorite pictures of this cottage with painted exterior. I hope you have a great time!

“The kitchen cabinets were built by Hardwood Creations in Charlotte, NC. They are paint grade flush inset frames with a recessed panel cabinet doors. The door style includes an interior bead for interest and detail. The smaller top drawers have an outer bead on a slab drawer front to keep the style consistent. We added a decorative and profiled light rail at the base of the upper cabinets to add one more layer of dimension and help hide the under-cabinet lights. The cabinet hood matches the profile of the cabinet doors in one large recessed panel and includes beaded/cove moldings below to create a low-profile mantel design. The cove corbels that attach the hood to the wall are 3” wide and line up with the overall frame of the hood above. The cabinet base includes a furniture style “proud” base with a decorative cove valance cut out.” – Shannon Bowman.

51 Master Bedroom Ideas And Tips And Accessories To Help You Design Yours
Walking to your master bedroom at night, or awakening there in the morning, what type of decor do you wish would greet you? If it’s not the room you have currently, then we are ready with a whopping 51 inspirational bedroom ideas, plus tips & accessories to help you design your very own new space. From master bedroom colour schemes and bedroom furniture sets, to gorgeous lighting schemes and show-stopping accent walls, it’s all going on right here. Whether it’s a dark sleep inducing scheme you’re after, or a light and soothing space to while away your Sunday mornings with a good book and a hot coffee, read on…
Visualizer: Anton Krat Neoclassical meets nightclub. If you’re in love with both classic panel molding and cool modern lighting, the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Combine neoclassical elements with more modern pieces to bring the look crashing into a present day aesthetic. This amazing bedroom pendant would look at home in a trendy nightclub, but it looks superb set against a backdrop of decorative boiserie.
Visualizer: Anton Krat Show a softer side. A cushioned fabric wall, like this suedette little number, looks sumptuous and will even soften sound to aid restful sleep.
Visualizer: Omar Maghrabi Ease into an accent colour. You don’t have to go the whole hog with a new hue in a room, in fact, you don’t even need to paint a wall to bring in an accent shade. Try adding colour through art and an accent chair or two – if you don’t like the colour in your bedroom then you can always try putting the items elsewhere in your home.
Visualizer: Vladislava Torgonsky Achieve a more spacious look by choosing a platform bed. The low profile of a platform bed looks sleek, laid back and minimalist in comparison to their bulky based divan counterparts. They also make the room look bigger since the line of sight is free to flow straight over them and beyond.
Visualizer: Leyla Salayeva Bump up the luxe factor with bookmatched marble. Bookmatched marble is popular for cladding chimney breasts, sofa walls and yes, headboard feature walls too.
Visualizer: Fathy Ibrahim A bedroom area rug creates an island of cosiness.
Visualizer: MC Interior Add lighting to textured or extruded feature wall designs for oodles more impact.
Visualizer: Eriny Adel High ceilinged bedrooms can sometimes feel a bit too open and chilly, consider painting with muted colour or shades of grey to visually lower a lofty ceiling.
Visualizer: Roof Architectural Lab Approach the scheme as a whole rather than as separate elements. That is, instead of choosing your favourite bed, then bedsides, then closet, then a colour, consider looking at the room as one item. This bed, headboard wall, bedside units and closets all run on as one beautifully coordinated piece.
Visualizer: Maxim Shpinkov It’s all about the ottoman. There’s just something so high-end about placing an ottoman at the foot of a bed. Perhaps it’s because the average size of master bedroom doesn’t have the necessary floor space. So, if you’ve got it, flaunt it!
Visualizer: Evgenii Baisa Create a moody luxury bedroom with a black marble feature wall.
Visualizer: Novelty Sector Give your bedroom the midas touch, with gold accents and glowy golden lights.
Visualizer: Ahmed H. Ibrahim Begin and end your day in elegance. A tufted bed base has a refined look, much like a chesterfield sofa.
Visualizer: Outline Studio Fashionistas will love fashion forward glass closets, which display a treasured capsule collection from dusk till dawn. Warning: Not recommended for messy clothes hoarders who keep an overstuffed closet and mismatched hangers!
Visualizer: Georgios Tataridis & Ntoina Gkeka Bring in industrial style ideas. Raw concrete and exposed brickwork are just the ticket for an industrial chic outcome. Team with luxury furniture and gold accents to juxtapose the gritty backdrop.
Visualizer: Angelina Rudenok Crown your bedroom with heavenly lighting. This halo of light makes a show-stopping statement.
Visualizer: AVISTUDIO Embark on a multi-panel project. The headboard wall is the perfect place to roll out a combination of textures that bring the room together. This one incorporates a centre section upholstered in the same taupe fabric as the bed; dark wood side stripes twin with the flooring.
Visualizer: Muhammed Ali Jouhar Continue the accent wall upwards and onwards to create a feature ceiling too.
Visualizer: IQOSA Consider moving the bed away from the wall in order to harness more useable floor area. This bedroom incorporates a home office desk behind the headboard.
Visualizer: Berga&Gonzalez arquitectos Here, a spacious bedroom with wardrobe has been achieved by moving the bed into the centre of the room. An extended headboard design doubles as a room divider.
Visualizer: Voskresenski Vladislav A comfortable reading area offers a place to relax in the bedroom without ruffling up the bedcovers.
Visualizer: The Craft Create a connection. A horizontal stripe of gold across this headboard wall gives the impression of a connected bed & bedside unit set, even though they are actually separate pieces.
Visualizer: Actual design Capitalise on curves with a round bed, half moon sofa and curvaceous accent chair.
Visualizer: Giuseppe Burgio Let the view be your headboard feature wall.
Visualizer: Nikolay Ivogol This particular feature wall is set to one side for dramatic effect.
Visualizer: D3 Design Add in a surprising accent piece to shake things up.
Visualizer: Naresh Mistry Have an open fronted wardrobe, or a glass closet, double as your ambient lighting.
Visualizer: KYDE architects Use large scale artwork to add a bit of culture and sophistication to a bedroom scheme. This towering piece of photography adds a monochromatic artistic touch.
Source: Casa Cook Lift a neutral room palette with different textures and pattern.
Visualizer: Duc TayOne If you’re lucky enough to be building a new dream bedroom from scratch, consider incorporating a courtyard garden. The courtyard will invite extra natural light into the room, and you’ll feel the revitalising effects of having nature surround you.
Visualizer: Leonid Sizikov In this bedroom, an extra picture window has been put in above the headboard for extra light and garden views.
Visualizer: Vasyl Ambroziak Taking garden views to the extreme, these floor to ceiling windows run the full length of the room and an outdoor plant bed. The botanical view paints the room green, like a living wall mural.
Visualizer: SVOYA studio Bedrooms with bathtubs always look decadent. In this one, a small step up to the bathroom area helps to define the space. LED strip lighting marks the edge of the step for both a pleasing aesthetic and for safety.
Visualizer: Omar Maghrabi Dress with dramatic drapes. These dark master bedroom curtains hang heavy at full height windows, making the room feel cosily cocooned.
Designer: Forms Architects Visualizer: A.T.O studio A long curtain hangs at a glass wall ensuite in this bedroom, poised to provide privacy.
Visualizer: Omar Maghrabi Mirrored headboard walls create the illusion of a larger bedroom area. Include a horizontal stripe of mirror above headboard level, or mount a floor-to-ceiling frameless cut behind each bedside unit.
Visualizer: JW.ZHOU Studio https://26318320. Instead of shying away from offbeat architectural features, accentuate them with lighting and contrasting decor.
Visualizer: Vladislav Ishkov Purple and black make an opulent master bedroom colour scheme duo. Add in gold bedroom accessories for precious sheen.
Visualizer: Marcin Kasperski Dangle orb pendant lights in front of a window for celestial effect.
Visualizer: IQOSA Slatted doors are a cool way to divide the main sleeping area of the bedroom from a walk-in closet, or an open plan ensuite bathroom. The slatted design allows airflow and light to travel between the two spaces. It also allows just a peek of what lies beyond without overwhelming the peaceful sleep zone with all of the added detail of the adjoined room.
Visualizer: Ivan Kucherenko & Volodymyr Dubashevskyi Divide and conquer. When incorporating a home office area into the bedroom, it’s a good idea to create some kind of visual divide. In this bedroom, the simple desk appears to extrude straight out of a dark wall section, with the bed and bedsides attached to lighter wood panelling.
Designer: Phil Kean Tie it together with a wrap of colour. A wide purple bedroom stripe wraps these walls and ceiling. Purple pillows and scatter cushions continue the theme.
Source: Ikea Don’t underestimate the power of a great colour. Simple pieces furnish this blue bedroom, but the rich and saturated colour treatment makes it into a special room.
Visualizer: Evgeny Zjuba Another clever mirrored headboard design – this time with etched glass.
Visualizer: MirrorR Studio Seek a Yin and Yang balance of darkness and light. Huge sunny windows can afford a room to embrace a deep and dark colour scheme, like this deep stained wood and dark grey bedroom.
Visualizer: Igor Sirotov Screens close across these windows to dip this black bedroom further into darkness.
Visualizer: Polygon Layer up a minimalist look by placing a platform bed on top of a partial platform floor. A low level bedside volume completes the sleek linear look.
Visualizer: Ruetemple Studio This partial platform floor has risers that morph into a morning coffee bar, and a warm seating nook by a wood burning stove.
Visualizer: Marina Khomiakova Not a fan of strong colour? A hint of a tint can make all the difference.
Visualizer: Isadhora Omar Raw brickwork is a great way to colour a room without commiting to paint selection.
Visualizer: Fernando Morrisoniesko Carve out a rugged rustic bedroom. Textured stone walls, bare timber, a branch chandelier and a log burner make the perfect hideaway.
1. Gold accent planters 2. Gold finish candle holder 3. Table Lamp With Gold Cage Base 4. Atollo table lamp 5. Gold paper origami pendant 6. Grasshopper style floor lamp 7. Faux marble and gold coffee table 8. Modern golden chandelier 9. Modern style bed

Some of Our Favorite EHD-Inspired Interiors
New Post has been published on http://www.decorfrontline.com/index.php/2018/03/27/some-of-our-favorite-ehd-inspired-interiors/
Some of Our Favorite EHD-Inspired Interiors
They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and if that is the case then, my friends, we here at EHD are VERY flattered. Over the years we have attempted, failed, and succeeded at a countless number of projects. We take risks, try to be original, informational and inspirational and then put it out on the blog for you every day in hopes that what we put out there for you will somehow inspire or help you in your own lives. So when there is a project that hits and people are inspired by it enough to recreate it in their own space it’s like having our design cake, and eating it too. We thought it might be fun to start showcasing some of the EHD-inspired interiors over here on the blog every so often for a handful of reasons. 1) You guys are seriously talented and need to be recognized, 2) Hopefully seeing these readers versions might inspire you to recreate a project for your own space and 3) It makes us happy to see your spaces and what you do to them. Let’s get into it.
You might remember this ‘Spanish Kitchen‘ Makeover that we did a few years back, well Shelley Tumlin took it and recreated it in her vintage camper and we are obsessed. Those blue cabinets, that peel and stick tile and even the faded oil paintings are a dead match. She actually rents out the camper in Florida and we are very tempted to make a reservation in the very near future, so we can cook ourselves a tiny little meal in that tiny little kitchen on the beach.
I am sure you all remember Brady’s ‘DIY Channel Tufted Headboard‘. He turned an awkward bedroom size into a focal point by creating a wall to wall channel tufted headboard in green velvet none the less. He created a step by step tutorial over on the blog and it spawned some pretty amazing versions that were inspired by the original.
French For Pineapple took the concept and went very moody (and busty with it) by using this graphic black and white marble print in her bedroom. Talk about a statement wall. We love it.
Bright Green Door took things to another level with this beautiful version in faux leather that is flanked by two storage units providing a cozy little bedding nook to doze off in every night. We love the dark cabinets paired with the warmer tone of the leather and that quilt gives the room so much personality.
Mandi Johnson For A Beautiful Mess decided to take the project into the dining room and her results are pretty amazing. Not only did she take it all the way from floor to ceiling but also added in a storage bench. Pretty genius and that space looks so inviting.
Amelia Hannah who also hails from Utah (like Brady) created her own version in her bedroom in the same fabric as ours and we love it. Those hanging lights are such a good solution as well to help free up nightstand space and highlight the art she has leaning on the ledge of the headboard.
In addition to some of the DIY projects that we have showcased, we have also got some submissions from the budget room design boards that we have pulled together. The ‘Modern Traditional Bedroom‘ a few years back was recreated by Sarah Aguilar with a few slight adjustments and we love seeing her own take on it.
Our ‘DIY Pillow & Leather Strap Headboard‘ which we created for the Dorm Room shoot also got some love by a reader who created their own version.
This much more refined and paired down version which was submitted by Brynn Harlock is pretty impressive. This room is so happy and inviting and we love seeing her version of the DIY on the wall.
But Brynn didn’t just stop with that one gorgeous room. She used Birdie’s nursery turned guest room for our ‘Styling To Sell‘ series as inspiration for her own guest room.
We had to do a double take with this one, as we have an almost identical shot and the rooms look so similar. We love seeing her take on it, and that focal wall with the tree mural wallpaper gives the room so much character without having to add a lot of other elements in.
And last but not least Brynn also submitted her version of this little reading nook from our California Spanish project.
She made it personal with her own collection of art and we love that she added that brass light in, to contrast against the blue wall. Well done Brynn, can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
After we published our ‘How To Add Character To Basic Architecture – Wood Paneling‘ we got this submission from Leah McClellan, who used the inspiration and roundup of DIY’s to create her own focal wall.
She added an accent wall of horizontal wood paneling in this nursery and the results are pretty inspiring. What kid wouldn’t want to call that their room?
And our last submission’s for this EHD Inspired roundup came from Brady’s ‘Peel & Stick Floor Tile DIY‘. If you remember the original post, he redid his kitchen floors for just $50 with some vinyl peel and stick tiles, which inspired a few readers to attempt it in their homes.
Jordan Rudd gave her old linoleum floors a brand new look in her kitchen, and we have to say her little Frenchie looks so happy sitting on those new floors.
And Natalie Duncombe submitted her kitchen where she used the same DIY and we love how bright and graphic the new floors look.
It’s a pretty impressive roundup and we love seeing how you guys transform your spaces. If you have tried any of our projects or have created a room, vignette, or space inspired by anything you have seen here on the blog we would love to see it and include in our next “EHD-Inspired” post. Email your photos to: [email protected] and you just might see it up here on the blog.

8 Steps to Create the Most Amazing Boy’s Room
With the changing times, decorating your little son’s room can be quite challenging since they are much more advanced in their tastes and wish to live with their own fancies. So, you need to read their minds and design their rooms accordingly, which can be difficult at times. To make it easy for you, we have come up with some tips of a Kolkata interior designer.
High Fly
A room decor with an aeroplane mural accentuating the wall behind the bed will be a perfect choice if your kid dreams big or loves adventure. A few toy aeroplanes hanging from the ceiling will make the decor more realistic. Choose a blue and white colour scheme to match the surroundings with the sky-blue painted mural.
Sporty
Boys by nature love sports and become an ardent fan of any of these as they reach their teens. The best way to decorate the room is by putting up any poster related to your child’s favourite sport, behind the bed. Keep the interior simple and organized with vertical shelving units on either side of the bed. Use the colours of jersey for the bed linens and cushions.
Space Adventure
Bluish grey walls and an accent wall behind the bed with the solar system painted on it, are the requisites for a galaxy themed room interior. Get bedspreads and curtains with similar prints to complete the look. This will also help your kids learn in a fun way.
Colourful
The little ones are always cheerful and love colours. So, with such a theme you can never go wrong. A combination of bright shades like orange, blue and green can be quite thrilling. Get the same fabric for curtains, pillows, headboard, and bedding. Don’t include extra furniture other than a chest of drawers and a side table in the dark wooden finish.
Evergreen
The colour green will create an eco-friendly feel in the room and make your child aware of the need for greenery as well. Besides, the theme is very soothing to the eyes. Paint one of the walls in a lighter shade of green while keeping the rest of them white. Paint the trim and the windows white with a sleek study table and the bunk bed. Go for wooden flooring and use faux grass area rug with bound edges. A green dino-shaped rug can be a fine addition to the room.
Striped
A theme of vertical black and white stripes for the cushions, curtains and bed linens will look cool in your grown-up son’s room with white walls and ceiling. Get a tufted couch in a matching neutral shade and wooden furniture. A taxidermy deer face in white will look great against the extended headboard in horizontal stripes. Throw in some bright red rugs and cushions to add an interesting tone.
Stadium
Let your kid get lost into his world of dreams by decorating his room in an open stadium theme. Get the ceiling painted as a real sky with white clouds and an open stadium behind the bed. Bring matching fabrics for the cushions, bedding, and curtains. Use a faux grass floor rug and get a bed enabled with a toe-kick light. Or you may use LED lighting as an alternative in the case of a regular bed.
Innovative
You can customise the bed in the shape of a vintage car and keep the surroundings empty with minimal furniture and some amazing wall art. Or design the bed in the shape of a racing car with a loft above it representing a gas station. Select a blue and white colour scheme for the rest of the room. Use white sheer curtains and paint the car in red.Opt for a combination of red, blue and white fabrics.
A good blend of creativity and imagination can take you a long way in decorating your child’s room. For some better opinion, you can always consult any reliable interior designing company in Kolkata. I would rather suggest Transterior since they got me a modular kitchen completed within the least possible time and an affordable budget as well.

14 highly hackable items from the 2018 IKEA Catalogue
The 2018 IKEA Catalogue is chock-full of inspiration and ideas. And it got me thinking (and furiously listing) my favourites and ideas for some possible IKEA hack projects. Not all items below are new products, nevertheless they are things to consider for your next IKEA hack project. And do feel free to chime in on your favourites. I would love to see more possibilities.
VEBERÖD room divider to privacy screen
I love the new VEBERÖD range. The VEBERÖD room divider has a mesh panel and hooks for hanging up coats and hats. At the base, a bench with “hammock” style storage beneath. Add a piece of fabric or plastic to the mesh and it could serve as a privacy screen for your balcony (like this). Hang up pots of plants to complete the look.
EKET cabinet to cat ladder
The EKET cabinet is a basically a cube. Add legs and it turns into a nightstand. Stack 2 vertically and it becomes a side table. Stagger them and they become a cat ladder or cat cave.
PINNIG coat rack with shoe storage bench to room divider
Place two PINNIG units back to back, sandwiching a plywood panel (or art) and you effectively have a room divider. Two kids sharing a room will appreciate the PINNIG separating the room into 2. They would each have a bench and storage on his or her side of the room, plus the little bit of extra privacy. Pull a desk in front of the bench and you’ll have a homework space.
NESTTUN bed frame embellished
The NESTTUN looks like a sturdy steel bed that will last forever. The net-patterned headboard creates a light and airy feel but it does look a little bland. The net pattern also makes it easy to embellish. Weave a network of fabrics through for color. Or if you like the tufted headboard look, this is a perfect candidate for it, without having to drill holes.
DYNAN shelving with cabinets to wall to wall unit
The DYNAN shelving system is designed primarily for the bathroom but it can work in the living room or study too. Build it horizontally for a wall to wall media unit or bookshelf. Opt for the bamboo shelves to warm up the look. If you wish, the white powder coated steel exterior can be spray painted for a dash of colour. Switch out the legs for fancy ones for a less utilitarian look.
YIPPERLIG magazine stand to drinks cart
This item in collaboration with HAY, I imagine, can become a pretty swanky drinks cart. I’m not entirely sure of its dimensions, as it is made as a magazine stand, but it seems doable. The base may need some extra height, perhaps a wooden base with casters. Another thought I had would be to use two on the wall as a shelving unit. Place one right side up and one below the first, up side down, aligning the feet, so you get an “oval-shaped” shelving unit.
LALLERÖD coffee table to pet cage
When I look at this, I see a pet cage for a small furry friend. You think it can work?
KASSEBY display box to jewellery box
Seems like IKEA finally decides to give us a memory box. But this handy display box also screams jewellery box. Just add 3M command hooks to the back of the box. Stick on a mirror to the front glass panel if you want to or leave it as-is if you wish to see your jewellery.
MYRHEDEN frame to room divider
It was love at first sight for me when I saw the MYRHEDEN brass coloured frame. 12 clips are included and you can pin up photos, fabric swatches, to do lists. Keys and other small things can go on the hooks. You can hack this frame into a room divider too. IKEA shows us how its done.
Hang the top row of MYRHEDEN frame on a curtain rod then hang another frame off the bottom row of hooks. Hang as many as needed. It could serve as a minimalist room divider and inspiration/ vision board for a dorm or craft room.
TVÄRS table lamp to Hot Air Balloon Lamp
The TVÄRS seems to have replaced the LAMPAN as the cheapest lamp you can find at IKEA. It’s only $2.99 (RM15.90) and super hackable. Turn it upside down, add a REGOLIT paper shade and you have a Hot Air Balloon lamp. See how it’s done here. You could also makeover the plain shade with post-its like this.
LILLABO 50-piece track set to wall decor
These tracks are not only lovely for trains but they work as wall decor too. Use the tracks to create striking graphics for your walls, like this.
FLISAT Children’s desk to LEGO table
The FLISAT is adjustable to 3 different heights, has a top that tilts and even a holder for MÅLA drawing paper roll. Below the table top, there are slots that fit TROFAST bins. Which means this table is a great candidate for a LEGO play table hack.
LÅDDAN 6-piece storage board set to jewellery holder
This cute bathroom set is perfect for when your child wants to learn how to brush their teeth and hair on their own. When they grow up, re-purpose it into an accessories holders. Hang earrings on the peg holes and necklaces around the hooks. Rings can go into the boxes. And there’s already a mirror that comes with it.
STILLHET tealight holder to goblet
As a classy (but small) lamp shade, drill a hole at the base and thread through a LED light. Flip it over, attach the base to an ARV bowl with Sugru and you have a goblet. Or fix it to a plate for a fancy cupcake stand.
And that’s are my thoughts and ideas for possible hack projects. What about you?
