As someone who is thinking about going back for my PhD I could use a little motivation!!

The way there isn't much plot for this one right now, just vibes as I was getting my own work done one day and being like "oh, this is such a specific mood right now." The beautiful thing about grad school and a subsequent au is that there is not really a "traditional age" like university, so everyone involved would be their relative real-life age. Here, I'm thinking Lando's a second-year and Carlos is a fourth year. Their place-holder programs are different concentrations within psych because that's what I currently do, but we'll see. Truthfully, I am not sure how motivating it will be, but don't take life advice from these two 😅. Here's a rather longish and rough draft snippet of Lando and Carlos meeting each other because Lando sucks at stats as a treat Interested in learning about some wips?

When Lando gets an error message for the third time in a row on his code, he pushes back from his desk and goes to take a walk. Maybe a few minutes of wandering around the building to clear his head will help.

He finishes locking the door when he looks over to see the door of the lab next to him open where it wasn’t earlier.

The lab belongs to one of the other faculty members in the department, though most of their students are above Lando and in the middle of data collection for bigger projects. The door being open is a rarity in some regards, and Lando is desperate enough, so he tries his luck.

From what Lando can see through the half-open door, there’s a guy sitting at the large table looking down at his laptop keyboard. All Lando can see is his nose and a large bottom lip. Lando thinks he’s seen the guy around even if he doesn’t know his name. He’s beyond intimidating in a way too-attractive people often are, but Lando’s desperate, so he knocks on the open door.

The guy’s head shoots up, eyes wide in surprise. He’s probably in the middle of office hours and not expecting anyone to need him. His gaze is as piercing as Lando thinks he remembers it being.

“Can I help you?” the guy asks. And while Lando’s seen him, he doesn’t think he’s ever heard him speak. The sound of his voice is a deep timbre that curls around the English words. Does this guy teach a class, and if so, would Lando be allowed to audit it just to hear him speak for longer than four words?

“Sorry,” Lando stutters, kickstarting his brain. ”I’m Lando. I’m from the lab right next door. I’m trying to run some analyses, but I can’t get my code to run properly. My advisor’s not in either today, or I'd ask him. You don’t happen to have any experience with SAS, do you?” Damn Andrea and his attachment to a program only a few people in the department use.

“I do, actually. I can take a look if you bring your computer over here. I would come to you, but technically one of my students could show up. Not that they will, you know?” Lando does know, even if he’s only a teaching assistant.

Lando wouldn't care even if he had to drag his entire desktop into the lab. All that matters is that maybe a second pair of eyes will finally be able to help. “Mint.”

He practically bolts back to his desk and grabs his laptop, desperate to get what he needs to done before going home for the day.

When he gets back, his savior is scrolling through his phone. This lab is a bit smaller than Lando’s own. The main table he’s sitting at has five chairs around it, and there are a further two desks off to the side with desktop computers. There’s an imitation of a stout bald man on the chalkboard along the back wall who looks oddly familiar.

The guy smiles at him as he gets closer. Lando pulls out a chair next to him and sinks down. “What’s your name? Sorry, I don’t think I actually know.”

“Carlos. I’m a fourth-year I/O. We’re a little bit off to the side from everyone else sometimes.”

A name to a face. Carlos. Lando tries to be neutral about the information and not think about looking him up on the department’s website later.

“Ah yeah, I barely know people outside my area, so not your fault. Thanks again for agreeing to take a look. I’d have asked Andrea if he was here today.”

Carlos brushes his words away and leans back in his chair to angle his head toward Lando’s computer. “It’s no problem. I could use the break from this lit review. May I?”

Lando pushes his laptop in Carlos’ direction. Watching him work isn’t unlike watching Andrea— careful, methodical, eyes scanning the rows of code. He highlights a bit to run, and then resumes his scanning. Lando should be watching the screen to see what Carlos is doing, but instead, he can’t help but watch Carlos’ face. He does this thing with his jaw that doesn’t look entirely comfortable, but what does Lando know?

Evidently not how to be subtle because Carlos looks at him and very obviously catches him staring. “Do you want the good news or the bad news first?” His voice scratches lowly across the words.

“Uh… good news preferably?”

Carlos breathes out a semblance of an amused huff through his nose. “I found the error I think to make it run.”

“Wait, really? Oh thank God. What’s the bad news? Please don’t tell me my data sucks or something mate, because I will lose it.”

This time Carlos actually does smile. “The bad news is that you will want to bang your head against the table because it is annoyingly simple. You copy and pasted this code?”

“Yeah, but I’ve checked back over it like three times. Don’t tell me it’s a fucking comma or something.”

“Worse, it’s a semi-colon. You have put one at the end of each statement, but this one here in the middle,” Carlos points to the regression lines, “Doesn’t need one because it goes to the next line.”

Lando groans because that is embarrassingly simple. Thank God Andrea isn’t here, actually. “Fucking Christ, of course it’s a fucking semi-colon. Ugh, thank you. Do you mind if I sit here while I fix it in case something else happens?”

Carlos shakes his head with ease. “Please, stay for as long as you like or until 4:00 because that’s when I’m leaving.”

“Fair enough.”

Lando contemplates moving to a different spot to do his work so he isn’t so on top of Carlos. But Carlos doesn’t make any indication that he minds— redirecting his attention to his own computer.

hrm.. i think the hair is a big one because his skin has those swooshy bangs in the front and theyre fun to draw for me personally lol

i also try and capture his Energy™. he has those mad scientist vibes and he’s also very casual and nonchalant. one thing i forget to draw sometimes is that his labcoat sleeves are rolled up which is a detail i find Really funny and in character. he dgaf about lab safety. hope this helps 👍

Okay, I’ve made myself whittle my Mass Effect: Andromeda Playthrough #1 Romance Options down to three:

Jaal. ZOMG, Jaal has joined the crew and he’s even more my type Sara’s type than I was expecting! He gives off slightly tortured soul vibes to me, kinda blunt, funny but reserved, not the sort to give his trust easily but once you have it? Woooooo boy, he is There For You™ no matter what. Also? Shoulders for daaaaaays. 🔥🔥🔥

Suvi. Only an option for Sara, not Scott. Honestly, I think she’ll get a playthrough of her own with Sara even if it doesn’t turn out to be this one. I just like her, what can I say? I love that she’s managed to reconcile being both a woman of faith and of science at the time. There’s a slightly sad sweetness to her, like she’s been waiting for somebody to really see her for a while now and that she has a lot of love to give to the right person.

Peebee. Sassy and funny but i get the feeling there’s a lot more to her than what she likes to show on the surface. Also an option for Scott, so if she doesn’t get a Sara playthrough, then she’ll probably get one for him. However, every time she and Sara interact, I feel like Sara goes

(imagine screechy dial-up noises to really sell the feeling, lol) when she looks at her, so there’s that. 😂

Also, did you notice? Ya gal got her game capture working! This weirdly wasn’t as easy as it’s been to capture Halo footage. 🤔 The fact that Andromeda is more like ONE GIANT MASS of a game instead of having levels like each of the Halo games makes it much more difficult to note what scenes are coming up or to go back and get cutscenes again. And for some reason, it’s recording in a HUGE size, much bigger than Halo’s, so there’s no way I can just capture the whole game without needing TBs of storage space. 😬 So I doubt I can capture enough to make a ton of GIFs, much less to vid it. Though once I’ve played it through a few times, I may know when to target capturing for certain scenes. 🤷‍♀️

You know, I tell myself that I don’t HAVE to vid every fandom I love but, well, I’m a vidder at heart, what can I say? I like to have the option open at least! 😁👍

Oh, before I forget, I’m about 99% certain that Vetra is going to end up with Scott, so my Turian sweetie WILL get a romance, if not with Sara, then with her bro. Cora is also definitely getting a whirl with Scott. Oh and I thought Liam was an option for either but nope, just for Sara, so I’ve got to give him a playthrough, too! I’m hoping that what I’ve heard is correct, that if you just basically stick to the main missions, you can get through the game in about 10 hours, so that’s not a huge time commitment and will let me get my romance options on both as Sara and Scott a couple of times!

1,000+ hours on the MCC makes 10 hours sound like not a huge time commitment, yep, lol! I’m at 18 hours or so now for Andromeda and while I wasn’t expecting to do much if any of the side quests, I’m actually really enjoying them! It’s nice to have something I can tackle and resolve in a much shorter time than, you know, finishing the entire game. 👀😉

Heya friend, I love the posts about songs that people have for PS! Personally, I listen to the entirety of the Tetris Effect soundtrack when reading (and rereading) the fic.

It also helps that the songs are meant to help you get into “the zone”—it’s an instant Proficiency Bonus in Comment Writing for me ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

My top 5 songs from the album would be:

City Lights It's without a doubt is my sparks fly song. When we get our incredible lovely TyStar moments, this is the song that comes to mind. The build-up! The funk and the rhythm! And the way Tyrus and Astarion fit so well together, working in tandem and being each others’ home! 🥺😭

Boscage This is the essence of the Angst With Happy Ending tag for me. It’s all about freedom and loving life. (But who knows if these themes’ll apply to the end HAHAHA)

Connected (Yours Forever) So despite how the lyrics feel more Tyrus-y, I honestly associate the message more with Astarion. And on a smaller note, there are also some theories I have related to how Astarion’s scar connects (hah!) him to the other sacrificial spawn and what it means for Astarion to be the one to "sing" this to Tyrus :P (It's just Astarion Nat20 persuasion checking that nerd to live)

Here Is a more low-key pick, but I think it does a great job capturing the various small moments they must’ve had when they were feeling safe. Like in Tyrus’ Tiny Hut, or when they climbed into a single bed together in the dorms. And the way the song builds reminds me of how important these “insignificant” moments feel when you look back on them. To me, they add up into this giant wave of nostalgia; a great reminder of being loved.

Hometown I gotta say this one was hard to place at first. It’s very PS for me, but I couldn’t put into words why. In the end, I think it’s all about hope and remembering how love strengthens you and keeps you moving forward.  The lads have gone through a lot, but they have each other. And whenever the Horrors™ are unleashed upon them, they always find strength in their most beloved and return home, and I think the song resonates with me in that regard. :D

First of all, I love all the funk and rhythm going on in these songs, it was unexpected but a ton of fun to listen to! I think my favorites were Connected (Yours Forever) and Here. I totally agree that the connected song could be either Tyrus or Astarion's pov, there's a lot of back and forth on which one of them is comforting the other, so it just depends on what part of the story we're talking! Either way works 💙 and the Here song just has great vibes!!

Funnily enough, one of my three PS playlists is titled "yours (forever)" so how could I resist adding such a relevant song to it?? Lol that one is basically my ushie-gushie Tystar romance playlist so it fit too well to resist. Thank you so much kiltdroy!!!

Won't Give Up - Colony House (hi this song makes me SOB on a daily basis; it fits really really well for both Lucy and Lockwood trying to outrun their trauma; "I've got the devil on my back trying to take home from me" is, as I've said before, a very post-THB line for Lucy; "I see Jesus out in front, he's reaching back for the lonely, reaching back 'cause he loves me, I take his hand because she loved me" is a Lockwood line for sure - interpret "she" as Jessica or Lucy or both - the whole thing is just devastating yet also hopeful, which is so the L&C vibe, is it not?)

battler is in the unique position of having been a Normal Guy™ ages 12 to 18, which explains a lot of his weirder comments on wealth (i didnt choose to be born rich.... my family owns a yacht.... pensive emoji) after all, he just got there. add to that, jessica (future heir) and george (oldest of his generation) bear the brunt of expectations while he is Just above a 9yo in the hierarchy. it makes sense the story focusses on his view, he is somewhat of an outsider and its easy to explain dynamics through his eyes.

saying the natural beauty of the island and its large wild bird population should give way for a golf course was a terrible take, still.

i said before that he is a very believable 18yo. so far the writing did well to capture that weird sort of liminal period between Playing Adult and internalizing the adult play behaviours so that they manifest in Being An Adult. hope this makes sense.

another conflict has been reoccuring; the servants call themselves furniture. there has been little direct interaction between ushiromiya family members and servants so far so its hard to tell whether this mindset is employed but them or the the older servants themselves. POSSIBLY related to that, shannons winged emblem is on her thigh. no idea whether this is a funny design choice or, more dubiously, marks her in her role for life. interestingly, gohda and kumasawa seem to be the only servant characters without this emblem. their names also dont follow the same convention as kanons and shannons. possibly because they existed elsewhere before they were hired to work here, while shannon and kanon ....??!?!? grew up in this enviroment and had to accept their names from it. maybe this is what "being furniture" means, their status is quite belonging-like. genji seems to have been with kinzo forever, so he fits that category too. would be funny if they ended up being some sort of enchanted candleholders, all beauty and the beast like.

i finally saw every family member, i believe. krauss and jessicas hair colour is suspicious but oh well. kinzos mental state has been tanking dramatically. he seemed stressed out in the intro but sociable at least. now he just appears as a drunken choleric. genjis is in the weird role of enabling his selfdestruction. how much of this is him spiralling over some business he has with beatrice and how much of it is ???? dementia? i up in the air. krauss believes it to be later. it struck me when he said his father is already dead, only a phantom remains.

unhinged out there thing to say but kinzo reminds me so much of my own grandfather, though he had no beatrice..... there was always Someone bestowing evil unto him in his very potent paranoia, though. a few years ago i would not have been able to read umineko, i think. but my grandfather has been dead for a while and my family is poor and we didnt all get murdered on an island. so thats great!!! they are very similar though, lol.

also weird that i read two visual novels in a row and both of them closely describe how absinthe is prepared and looks. unlikely but not impossible. ANOTHER UNEXPECTED PERSONAL THING: funny how i Just learned about the hour of the ox from enstars of all places lmao. are both topics a staple in vn or am i just running into them by chance. whats happening.

according to kinzo, beatrices curse (everything she gave kinzo must be returned upon his death? or something?) manifests in the fact that all of his heird are incapable. i somehow think it will manifest in beatrice swallowing the family whole as if they never existed. women be eating.

i fully expect kinzo to die soon and for hell to break lose afterwards. currently the conference has the uncomfortable yet normal vibes of a family meetup but with his inheritance at stake it could get very ugly very soon. its funny genji hasnt come up in related conversations at all. it is not unlikely for him to inherit a lot as a lifelong butler and the only person kinzo tolerates around him.

all siblings seem to be very business savy, safe for rosa perhaps, who openly admits that she still feels like a child. even before that battlers inner monologue informed us that being in adult in the ushiromiya family has little to do with age and all to do with success. indeed, krauss gets accused of embezzlement because there is no other way to explain the source of his funds. the siblings goals in all this seem quite clear for now. krauss needs his father financially to avoid debt and failure. eva sees herself as the most capable of the four, with an intelligent husband, son, and successful enterprise in the background. rudolf wants a piece of the cake. rosa is not yet as financially stable as she would like to be. and natsuhi is caught in the crossfire, with tons of responsibilities but little power, as she is not related by blood. her chronic headaches are probably psychosomatic and/or stress related. her own family, while not clearly explained (yet?) seems to be very unfortunate and this much nobler cutthroat enviroment is destroying her.

the girls are, once again, fighting

natsuhis struggle has much to do with gender. she is related by marriage, left another family, will never be seen as an equal in her new one, and has the expectation of producing a child. it is also mentioned she organizes the private household and family meetings, so she got stuck playing along with her conservative patriarchal wife role. this contrasts eva, who by all means is shown as empowered and ambitious (her husband took her name, she does multiple martial arts). by design those two are to be pit against each other, when they would have had no further beef otherwise.

the core issue seems to be whose child is to continue the main ushiromiya bloodline. their real problem does not lie with each other but with traditional values and expectations towards women. unfortunately being a narrative foil doesnt always mean you get to have gay sex or else we wouldnt be here.

That gif set you made of Sami/Jey backstage you really captured Jeys face when Sami calls his name in that split second of that first gif. My poor boy😭 Just for a second he forgot how to be angry.

Also I just realized Jey must have followed Sami when he heard the commotion backstage too because he didn't know what happened either 😢. That's when Sami decided to be mad at him? When he actually didn't do anything? Kevin's a sketchy bitch too. He conveniently gets attacked when he's the only one that knows Sami would go looking for Jey? No I for real love Kevin but I'll never trust him 😔

Sami look at your taste you have a pattern.

Jey always has a hard time keeping up a front when Sami's around 😭 this man will want to look angry but look heartbroken instead; he'll want to look defiant when Sami's dropping harsh truths on him but he'll look conflicted instead, it's neverending!

I don't think Sami was any more/less mad at Jey after Solo attacked Kevin though! For me the way he looked at Jey who was just standing there was more of a "damn it, I was so determined to talk to you that I forgot this is what happens when the Bloodline's around". During the match, Sami was more aggressive than usual with some of the words he said to Jey but it makes sense that he'll be growing pretty frustrated at this point too - he might be a good guy but he's not a doormat and we saw that in his relationship with Roman.

Also LMAO on that KO aspect! I do believe he's meant to be full-on babyface now, but there's always weird vibes™ coming from him and it might be unintentional at the moment but we're all so familiar with his past actions that it's impossible not to be on edge whenever he's being too friendly. We know he'll inevitably turn on Sami sooner or later (Kev has a condition where if he doesn't turn on his partner in less than 12 months, he'll die!) and when it does happen, I just hope the writing hasn't gone to shit coughvincecough and we continue to be fed with the level of compelling drama we've been accustomed to with all of these guys.

Sami really is the patron saint of lost causes because he manages to fall head first into the most complicated relationships with the most hard to trust/rely on people for whatever reason but somehow he always suceeds in the end 😭 he could probably even help Bray Wyatt become a lovable good guy (only for a while though, we all know what Bray's like lol) if he wanted to..... he's too powerful.......

Ariana Salem and the rest of the Unseen manage to keep their host identities a secret for fifteen years. Hiding their powers, living as normal kids, existing in peace. But when they’re discovered, Panacea still deems them a threat to society. 

Ariana does not know how to die quietly. She refuses to learn. 

Now, after a year of fruitless fighting, the price of war has come due. Ariana has lost hope. Her nightmares and panic grow worse by the day, and now she’s ceased bothering to leave the Safe House at all. When strange storms begin popping up around the world, it’s revealed one of Panacea’s prisoners has escaped. This could be the lead needed to tip the balance back in the Unseen's favor...or the breaking point for Ariana’s health.

TL;DR:  MY VILLAIN ACADEMIA + VENOM + DARK STEVEN UNIVERSE: Panacea thought they destroyed the Khaodosian aliens. But they chose hosts. Now, Ariana and the rest of the Unseen have to fight for their right to exist, before Panacea can steal anyone else...& before Ariana loses herself.

ANDREA / 26-32. Second half of the evil alien duo that tried to destroy the world. Chaos Power of Deception. The only Chaos Power in the group unattached to a human. Loves robbery and fraud. Loud, fun, flirty, glam mom. Thinks humans are cute!!!!!!! like pets that should be collared and subservient and there for entertainment!!!!! Carefree. Manipulative. Social chameleon. Fake 98% of the time. MUCH louder about adoring the kids. Knows when you’re lying, so don’t =) Will gladly stab you with her heels. Immortal girlfriend to Kendra.

SAPPHIRE / 15. Ariana’s twin sister. Powers of Sunlight. Reluctant healer of the group. Does not live at the Safe House with the other Unseen. Hates her powers, wants nothing to do with this shit. Is not very good with her powers because of this. Eager to get back to her normal life. Reckless. Impulsive. Chronic Main Character Syndrome. Spoiled. Gonna be a rockstar. Punk aesthetic. Athletic. People pleasing. Indecisive. Guilt. Golden child to a T. 

KIARA / 24-30. Kendra and ‘Drea’s heroic nemesis. Chaos Power of Sunlight. Attached to Sapphire. Helped Panacea create Sabin, basically his mom (but don’t call her that). Lives in her own hidden cottage with Sapphire. Loves humans. Believes humans are defenseless and childlike and therefore Know Not What They Do. Will sacrifice anything to save humans. Duty-bound. Soft-spoken. Elegant. Calm, understanding, patient. Motherly. Lawful. Cottagecore Mom. Turns callous and impatient when Kendra and ‘Drea are involved. Lawful Good to a fault.

alright I've come to discuss my ocs. Hello o/ the discord server was recently talking abt the twins in a modern au. And I cannot stop thinking about it?? Like Sulien and Ohm are already close, even despite everything happening in canon. So modern aus are so good cause they get to actually be BROTHERS?? pls they definitely have each other's birth mark as a tattoo on their wrists. (Ohm has a cute little sun and Sulien has a moon) -head in hands- also all of the potential for various kinds of modern aus. Curse I am VIBING, my thoughts have not stopped since this morning. They definitely have a stupid ass secret handshake they still do at prime age 25. They are each other's hypeman, I s2g. Ohm doesn't care if he has an early shift at the hospital, he's gotta go rescue his brother from this terrible date. I am constantly thinking abt them actually getting to just.. be semi normal? i spent like all week making sketches of ohm the twins bc i totally do not have a bias at all <33 and there is a version of this one that i messily colored bc ohm looks so hot i liked how it turned out with them showing off their wrist tattoos but it looks so awkward i cut that out KJAHSKLSFD anyway i think i did sulien kinda dirty (sorry sulien im so sorry) but i HAD to give him a comfy sweater in that Horrible Shade of Green™ that matches his gloves

I'm not a music major i know nothing about music but I have ears and I know Murray Golds music is SO GOOD at accurately capturing The Vibes. I can feel it. All Murray Gold Dr who music immediately beams the important moments and vibes directly into my brain at maximum strength

NO LIKE EXACTLY like it gets the Emotion™ across!!!!! hes REALLY GOOD at what he does!!! he really Set The Tone for dr who for SO LONG and its really hard to get behind anyone else doing the same job, unfortunately, but honestly the main thing is i just hope there arent rights issues that prevent them from making musical callbacks to his work! cause he really did SO MUCH for the series (murray gold my BELOVED)

MORE THAN NUANCED enough especially when it comes to their MK11 development. You just don’t recognize Hanzo’s footsteps without having spent considerable amount of time together. Despite being a highly visible ninja (TM), Hanzo’s gait is extremely measured and nearly silent, undeclared to enemies, as stealth and efficiency is what this ninja is all about, but I bet he just took longer than usual because that’s how he vibes to tease Liang. That’s his way of making his ‘grand’ entrance in the EDGELORD kind of way saying ‘LIANG NOTICE ME.’

I just enjoyed the whole beginning of their chapter where they seemed so comfortable and at ease (despite the circumstances involved) with one another, even with the platonic touches. 

I hope this fact comes through in my Hanzo’s portrayal (in regards to your Liang, specifically), but despite Sub-Zero’s power is glacial, Hanzo sees him more as the splinters of the sun becoming a halo of captured light and the susurration of the wind giving his cleansed fire life.

My Thoughts on MCU Comic Con Announcements 2019

*Please note that this is my personal thoughts and feelings and they are negative regarding some of the news. But I’m genuinely happy for people who are happy and excited and hopeful by them. Warning for a long and disorganized rant*

Remember the time when Marvel’s announcements didn’t induce anxiety? Those where good times and I miss them. Because the moment I opened tumblr and read the couple of first posts on my dash I had a fucking anxiety attack. Over sth that counts as entertainment and generally should cause hope and excitement. You know the feeling you normally expect from sth owned by Disney. Anyway, I was having a conflicting inner monologue/dialogue(?) with myself(- “Clam the fuck down. It’s just a fictional character.” -“Stfu! You’re not helping. Like at all. I got this”) until I calmed down and was able to read the news and watch the panels.

The first thing I checked was the release dates of “Loki” and “Thor: Thunder and Love”(They couldn’t have found a more cheesy title than that). Because I can’t stress enough how much I don’t want Tom’s Loki in Thor4. They are both set to release on the same year with 4-5 month interval. So logically they have to work on the production at the same time. But does it leave enough time for Tom to be in two productions? I’m asking because I have no idea that whether it’s possible or not( @sevensamurai1951 Can you help me here?).

On the other hand watching Thor4 panel made me %85 sure that Loki, or at least Tom won’t be in it. TW was all about Korg and Thor budding romance or bromance or whatever. They are going to be the new duo(tm). And I have to say I fear that the first openly LGBTQ character(Valkyrie) is going to be handled by TW. Not only that, Jane Foster as Thor story line too. Considering the kind of “representation” we had in TR; And the way TW view strong female characters as “being more of a guy than guys” I fear for Jane’s characterization too. A lot. Anyway, I don’t care about this movie unless it’s going to include Tom’s Loki in it and if it happens I’m going to scream and complain and probably hit sth too. I’ve never thought a time would come that I don’t want Loki in a Thor movie but here we are. Final thought on this movie, the logo has a 80s vibe and reminds of the old western movies.

Now about “Loki”. I’m kind of relieved that it’s going to be post 2012 Loki and not Loki influencing history. But then how can the concept art of Loki in 70s be explained? With this story line also comes the fear that it’s going to have Cap in it who chases Loki to capture him and fix the branching time line and it would end with Loki being capture again and ultimately die in IW. And now that I think about it, it might be possible considering the concept art too. Would Cap chase Loki in different points of time with the help of Pym Particles? Ugh. This is not really promising and sth I’d like to watch. Since they won’t let the villain coded character win in the end. And notice how Tom emphasized on the Avengers era Loki and the way he said “a lot of psychological evolution that is still yet to happen“ implies to me that he is going to be portrayed as villain coded. However, Tom is excited and I can’t dismiss his other words: “it is one of the most exciting creative opportunities I think I’ve ever come across. This is new territory, a new world, new challenges, and I cannot wait to get started” . So I feel conflicted about the series. I’m also conflicted about the new logo. My first thought upon seeing it on my phone was “what the hell is this monstrosity?” But looking at it from the laptop screen, I feel it’s not that bad. It’s weird and chaotic and doesn’t have a specific style. Like Loki. I don’t exactly like it but I don’t hate it either.

The design in “O” kind of reads like “Ikol” to me which I think increases the possibility that they will go for the kid Loki story line too. Sth I don’t particularly care about and I’m going to be relieved that it’s kid Loki who will be in Thor4 and not Tom’s Loki. Honestly I prefer Tom’s work in MCU finishes with this series. Loki doesn’t deserve to have more retcons or be the punching bag for TW and CH. Although if they include him in Dr. Strange considering it’s about multiverse and it will have Wanda too, it might be fun. But I don’t think it will happen considering how much they declawed him in TR and IW and I don’t want the powerless version of him with those two other magicians.

On a final note, I couldn’t help but to notice how much people cheered for Tom and Loki and chanted Loki’s name again. And the reactions to Thor4 panel, specially TW and CH, wasn’t as enthusiastic.
