“I’m not scared.” Katsuki snaps at you. His shoulders are tense, though, and you can hear the irregular jump of his heart. You can see the color in his cheeks, too.

“I didn’t say you were.” You counter, quirking a brow.

“Then—just fucking—do it.”

Your smile is an amused curl; a cat that has got its angry, little canary.

“Easy, tiger.” You respond, “I’m not a barbarian. I don’t want to—“

You search for the right words, humming.

“Make a mess of you.”

Katsuki swallows hard, eyes as red as a rose, flickering up to your face.

“You’re dragging this out.” He accuses.

“I’m trying to be considerate.” You counter, stepping towards him. You step up in front of him, towering over him so that he has to tip his head up to look at you. It exposes the column of his throat. He spreads his legs a little, just fractionally, but you take that as invitation; you stand between his knees and gaze down at him.

(And really, he just thinks you’re playing with your food.)

“It’s fine,” he grunts, leaning back, “just—quit taking so long.”

You tsk, “and here I thought I’d be the impatient one. You’d think you’re the one who hasn’t eaten in days.”

“Keep wasting time and I’ll retract my agreement to this.” He snaps.

You sigh, but finally bring your knee up to settle on the couch outside of his own leg.

And just like that, you’re straddling his waist.

His hands hover, uncertain for a moment.

Oh, his poor heart.

You can hear it jump and pump and gush, quickening, tempo rising. Your mouth waters.

You touch his jaw delicately.

His hands settle tentatively on the flare of your waist.

You tip forward, eager, suddenly starving when you catch the river of a vein in his throat. Your nose nudges gently at his jaw, down to his neck. You try to control yourself. His hands squeeze uncertainly at your waist.

“Hold still for me?” You murmur.

He inhales sharply, in hot pain, when your teeth bare down on the tender line of his throat.

You groan.

His hands grasp at you, bruising, and tight. You think he can’t decide if he’s trying to get away or nearer to you.

He thrashes a little, contrary to your request, and you press harder into his shoulders. You urge him to sink back into the couch—it should only be another moment before—

His muscles, large and threatening, suddenly slacken.

His head lolls backwards a little and you catch it carefully. Cradle it like a babe.

Blood is warm and heady on your tongue.

You detach yourself only to look at his face for a moment. His eyes are dilated and hazy, heavy-lidded. Such a strong and stubborn man, such an uptight and difficult man, now soothed. Now putty in your hands.

“There,” you praise, “just lay back and relax. I’ll take care of you now.”

And this time, when you latch onto his neck, it’s his hand, broad and warm, that comes up to cradle your skull.

To hold you in place.

Your smile curves against his bloodied skin.

A cat that’s caught its canary.

This 4th of July I’m stealing the patriotism euphoria that’s usually associated with assholes idolizing the worst attributes of this country because fuck ‘em I live here too and remembering the things this country actually got Right is an important exercise when trying to rally anyone to want to defend it in November SO putting my money where my mouth is I’ll start easy and say I really like National Parks!! It’s rad how many of them there are and how they’re actual set up to preserve some of the most beautiful wild areas in our country while still letting people visit to enjoy and experience nature!! (Less important but I love how they put national parks on the quarters I think that’s real fun)

You peaked inside expecting to see yourself, but instead you saw, a girl? About your height, quite pretty, good taste in fashion… Maybe your mom when she was younger?

It feels weird, in a good way, to see this girl follow all your movements, you couldn’t help but smile, and her smile is radiant

You felt an odd sense of relief… until you looked down to see that, you’re you, of course you are

“Quite the item isn’t it?”, the Witch tending the shop noticed your interest and started talking to you “a magic mirror that shows you what you’d look like if you were born the opposite sex”

You stare into it

Why do you feel this deep dread?

“But that’s not all it does!” The witch continues “want to see a magic trick?” The witch asks laying a hand on your back

You’re curious to see where this is going, so you nod your head

In one swoop the witch pushes you against the mirror and as you brace yourself to slam into it, stumbling on your feet across the floor, you find yourself slamming into the witch face first

She laughs “I probably didn’t need to push that hard”

As you lay on the ground you feel different, you look as you prepare to push yourself up from the ground you notice your hands… are they smaller?

As you get it up and oriented yourself you glance at the mirror, still the same showing girl you, but how did you get turned around did… did you get

“Sorry” the witch says as her laughter days down “that’s the first time I’ve pushed someone through a mirror, should’ve seen that coming”

You look down and see the dress you’re wearing

“Now cutie” the witch claps her hands, and jumps up! She has a grin you don’t trust “I hoped you enjoyed the trick! If you ever want to become a guy again And I hope you have some savings! Gender-bending magic is quite expensive!”

You stumble back, you can’t turn back? The mirror is showing yo- Girl You, not the real Guy You, so… that’s a no go? You’re way to poor for anything

“But don’t worry cutie, we pay quite well here and just so happen have an opening for a maid and I can assure you, you’ll look just adorable in the uniform”
