You crawl around the house, you've been crawling for what seems like forever, and still no sign of your big sister. Where is she?

Your Mama and Dada seem perfectly fine and they don't seem to be worrying about where Hope is. But you are, and you want to make sure she's okay and she's not gone forever and you want her. You feel lonely. You have your parents and then your uncles and aunts, but it doesn't compare to your big sister.

You slump back down onto the ground, your back leaning against one of the walls in Hope's bedroom.

As you think of Hope and how much you want her, a tingly feeling goes throughout your entire body. One second you're on the ground of your sister's room, and the next you're sitting in a small office room. It kind of looks like Uncle Elijah's study.

You hear a scream from across the room, only to see a grown man that you have never seen before.

"Holy shit!" Alaric explains, jumping up from his office chair, and walks towards you.

Hearing the unknown man's loud voice makes your face freeze up before big tears start falling down your cheeks. Not long after, your silent tears turn into wailing.

Alaric's face pales, not knowing what to do. Sure he's had twin girls that he raised, but he doesn't know what to do with a baby that just magically appeared in his office.

Before he knows it, five teens fill the office in alert. That is until they see who's making the noise and that the headmaster is doing nothing about it.

"Why do you have a baby?" Kaleb asks, breaking the silence. "Well, she just appeared and when I sort of yelled, she burst out crying.

Hope makes her way to the front of the small crowd and recognizes you instantly. "Oh my god, y/n, how are you here?" Hope says quietly and kneels in front of you.

Your wailing comes to a halt upon hearing your sister's voice. She picks you up into her arms and cradles you against her chest before standing back up. She turns to face the others who have confused looks on their faces.

"How exactly do you know a baby?" Lizzie asks, wanting to know straight away.

"She's my sister, I'm pretty sure it would be weird if I didn't know my baby sister" Hope answers her with a raised eyebrow. "You have a sister?!" Lizzie exclaims.

"I thought you knew?" Hope turns to Josie to confirm it. Josie was the one who had found out when she walked into Hope's room while she was on a video chat with Hayley, and you were in your guys' mother's arms.

"She does. I did tell you, Lizzie, that Hope has a little sister" Josie turns to her twin. Hope told her that she was only allowed to tell Lizzie and to make sure that no one else would find out except the two siphoners.

"I thought you were joking about that" Lizzie states, staring at you. You look back at her, making eye contact.

Hope sighs and rolls her eyes, it's ironic how the one in this school who basically knows everything about everyone thought that a crucial fact her sister told her, was a joke.

"Why didn't we get to know any of this?" MG speaks up, referring to Kaleb and himself.

"I'll let you think it out, you'll get there eventually" Hope quips, before walking out of the office, ignoring the protesting calls from Alaric that she can't keep a baby in the school.

Like she'd ever keep her sister here with no one to watch over you 24/7 because she has classes.

When she gets up to her room, she shifts you to her hip and brings out her phone to call your guys' dad. As she dials the number, you nuzzle into the front of her shoulder, rubbing your cheek against the soft fabric of her shirt.

"Hey Dad, by any chance are you missing a cute little baby that goes by the name of y/n?" Hope smirks, noticing Klaus' distressed answer to the call.

"Yes, why?" Klaus answers immediately. "Don't worry anymore, and stop looking. She's with me. She somehow did a spell by accident, im guessing, and wound up in Headmaster Saltzman's office. She's alright and byt the looks of it is about to fall asleep, so I can maybe drive up back to the house and drop her off tomorrow?" Hope asks since she wants to spend a night alone with you, and she secretly has a bin of things for you if you ever happen to have come here anyway.

Klaus agrees after some persuading, and she hangs up. "Time for some big sister and little sister time!" She quietly exclaims and kisses the top of your head.

a/n: this was a request from a lovely anon :) i had a lot of fun writing it so i hope you all love it! i'm still pretty new to writing explicit content so bear with me!! (i'm also obsessed with naming my fics after songs, this one is by caroline polachek and i feel like it fits the bill)

pairing: hope mikaelson x fem!heretic! reader

warnings: smut (18+), dirty talk, lots of praise including use of "good girl"

"how the fuck did you do that?," y/n asks, exasperated. her girlfriend, hope, had just performed the most intricate spell she had ever seen.

"here, i'll teach you," hope responds, going through the spell again, step by step, explaining thoroughly to y/n.

"you're so cute when you get into explaining something, but i'm still so confused."

"come on, you're a tough girl. i'll go through it again. you do it with me this time."

so hope performed the spell again, slowly so y/n could follow suit.

the first few times y/n attempted the spell, she just couldn't get it quite right.

it was frustrating, sure, but hope was right. y/n was tough. she wasn't one to show much emotion outwardly.

but hope could read her well. they hadn't been dating long, but hope had put effort into learning her girlfriend's mannerisms.

"hey, it's okay. you're doing so good."

y/n can't help the warmth that starts in her stomach and only moves downwards at hope's words. hope's naturally sensual voice never helps.

"let's try one more time. ready?"

and they do. hope leads the way, performing the spell slowly at first but gaining speed at the final steps. y/n continues mirroring hope's actions, and it's clear that she's gotten the hang of it.

"lecutio," they both chant, as sparks generate in both of their hands.

"look at you go, y/n! i'm so proud of you. you did such a good job," hope praises, taking y/n's hand in her own.

the feeling in y/n's body returns stronger this time, and she can't help the furious blush that comes across her face. she finds herself hoping that her girlfriend couldn't tell how her words were affecting her.

y/n's favorite part of her week was the "history of magic" class she shared with hope. the pair would always sit side by side, both dilligently taking notes on the course content while also slyly exchanging looks of admiration once in a while.

"does anyone remember the year "icaeus" became officially recognized as a spell?," the instructor speaks, scanning the room for willing students prepared to answer his question.

y/n raises her hand, much to hope's enjoyment. she admires her girlfriend's academic confidence, especially because many people see her as guarded and overly intimidating.

"around 3000 B.C.," y/n answers, not even referencing her notes.

"that's correct, y/n. someone's been paying attention," the instructor says through a smile.

hope leans closer to y/n until she's just inches away from her face. "damn, my girlfriend is smart. great job, beautiful," she says, smiling mischievously.

y/n has to physically stifle a sinful noise, although she manages to play it off with a playful eyeroll directed at hope. confident that hope didn't notice her initial reaction, she continues listening to the lecture of the day.

a wickery match was in full swing, an even mix of witches, werewolves, and vampires all happily participating, including hope and y/n.

not only is y/n tough, but she is also quite strong. nobody else in the game could throw the ball quite as far as she could.

after being passed the ball by kaleb, y/n realized she only had one possible move; throw it all the way across the field to a completely unguarded mg.

she knows it's not going to be easy, but doesn't hesitate to use every muscle in her arm to get it as far as she can.

to everyone's shock, the ball reaches mg seemingly effortlessly.

"holy shit! y/l/n, that was amazing!," lizzie shouts, her enthusiasm for the game obvious.

embracing the attention, y/n graciously recieves high-fives from the fellow players.

hope wraps her arms around her from behind, squeezing her girlfriend in an affectionate hug.

"you did so good today, y/n. i'm so proud of you."

this time, y/n whines. she hopes its quiet enough that hope doesn't hear it, but with her werewolf hearing, she's sure she must have.

y/n lays in her bed, several pages deep in a new novel when she hears a knock at her door.

"come in!," she shouts, almost certain she won't be surprised by who is standing in the doorway.

"hey honey, whatcha reading?"

it's hope, closing the door behind her and plopping into bed alongside her girlfriend.

"just this new fantasy novel. you know, like castles and shit."

"sounds like fun, but i think i'm more interesting."

nodding in agreement, y/n puts a bookmark in her novel and puts it on her nightstand. she lays next to hope, gently putting her head on her chest.

"can i ask you a question?," hope speaks after a few seconds of silence.

"anything," y/n responds.

"is there anything i say that... you know, has a particular effect on you?"

"effect on me?"

"yeah, you know ... something i do that.. you like?"

"i don't know what you're talking about."

y/n is lying through her teeth, and they both know it.

"i just happened to notice, you know, a pattern of behavior."

"what kind of behavior?"

"just, you know, some blushing. extra blushing. maybe even some interesting noises."

"fuck, you heard that?"

"oh, so you do know what i'm talking about."

"no!"

hope knew y/n wouldn't stop denying her desire for praise, and she knew exactly how to force the truth out of her.

"here, let me try something," hope says, looking y/n directly in the eyes.

"okay?" y/n looks directly back, although she is confused by hope's response.

"you are such a good girl, y/n," hope slurs, her voice sultry.

before hope can even register what is happening, y/n's lips are on hers, passionately moving against them.

"so i guess i was right then, huh?," hope teases when the pair finally separates to breathe.

"lay down," hope responds, y/n happy to oblige.

and hope does, stripping y/n naked in what feels like a matter of seconds.

Siren Song- Jed

Summary: In which the gang has discovered a siren amongst the waters of Mystic Falls, but only because Jed was the only one who could hear her song.

No one at the Salvatore Boarding School ever thought they would come face to face with a real mermaid, let alone a siren. Sure the students had heard stories about sirens from headmaster Saltzman, but they never thought they’d meet one. These students had fought loads of different monsters that emerged from Malivore, all of them having been forgotten by society. In a way, this was kind of like that but without all the killings.

It was a rather hot day at the school so of course the only way to not die of heat stroke was to have a pool day. Kaleb was grilling some burgers, someone was blasting music through a speaker they had got their hands on, and the teens were basking in the rays of sun. It wasn’t every day that they got to be ‘normal’ teenagers, so for once in their lives they grasped the day by it’s handles and just prayed to god that it never ended. That’s how some of them felt, Jed on the other hand was about to dig is eardrums out of his head. It wasn’t the music playing through the speaker that had his ears bleeding, it was the sound of a humming that was coming from far out in the distant.

Jed has no idea how he heard it, but he did and it was the most annoying thing on the planet. He was trying to enjoy the day with his friends, forget about all the troubles for once, but this was just absolutely dreadful. Standing up from the pool angrily, the werewolf threw on a t-shirt and shoes and decided against his best intentions that he would follow the sound and see where it takes him. His friends watched as he hastily walked through the trees, mumbling to himself that he was losing his mind and hearing things that no one else could hear.

His friends followed him, abandoning their carefree day and wondering behind the wolf to see where he would lead them. Though they tried to call out his name to get his attention, it seemed it didn’t matter as he just walked farther and farther along until they all reached the lake that was infamous for it’s summer parties.

Jed stopped at the edge of the water, looking out into it as if he was waiting for someone- or rather something- to emerge from the depths of the water. 

Out of curiosity, Kaleb came up from behind, clapping him on the shoulder to get his attention. It seemed to work, the boy turning to his friend with a shocked expression on his face. 

“Man, why did you walk all the way out here for?” Kaleb was worried for his friend, it wasn’t like him to just up and wonder around aimlessly. 

Jed looked at the vampire with almost dead eyes, as if he had been drawn there without knowing it. Without saying a word he turned his attention back to the water, where ripples began to form and the shadow of what looked like a person moved under the lake. Everyone watched as the shadow moved gently and delicately, not knowing it was being watched.

Y/N, the shadow being watched closely, had no clue that a werewolf had heard her song from so far away. If someone had heard her song it meant that they were meant to be together, they were what some would call ‘mates’. Never in a million years did she think she would find her mate, but she would be surprised in just a few minutes. Poking her head out of the water she began to make her way to the edge of the lake, her tail splashing against the water with every movement. 

The group of teens watched as the scene unfolded in front of them and they finally saw what was under the water. It was a mermaid, no- it was a siren.

As if on cue, Y/N began to sing without knowing that the teens were only a few feet away from her. The sound  of her voice grew Jed in closer again, this time he walked around the edge of the lake until he was where the siren was. Y/N was too lost in the song to realize that there was now a werewolf standing above her. 

When she heard the crunching of leaves and twigs her eyes snapped open, eyes widening and then dilating. Fear coursed through her veins which causes her fangs to unsheathe themselves, along with her talons. Y/N hissed at the stranger, moving back as quickly as her body would let her. The team noticed this and rushed over to where Jed and the mermaid were, all of them getting ready for a fight. What they didn’t notice though was the fact that the girl in the water was absolutely terrified  about all the people that were suddenly around her.

Jed had snapped out of the trance, his eyes refocusing and finally realizing where he was. “What-what is going on?” He looked around, confused as to what had happened and why he couldn’t remember walking all the way out to the woods. His friends looked at him as if they expected him to just automatically remember what he was doing and why they all walked out so far.

Y/N was still sitting there in the water watching all of them, wondering what they were going to do to her. If they were like any of the other humans, or even supernatural creatures, they’d try to capture her and sell her.

Josie was the first to make a move and step closer to the mermaid. She reached her hand out gently, showing that she wasn’t a threat. This eased Y/N’s anxiety a little bit, but not enough. “It’s okay, we’re not here to hurt you.” Josie’s voice was soft, as if she were talking to a child. Her head turned to the group who was trying to put a game plan together. “You brought our friend to you, we just wanted to know why.” 

Y/N’s tail was still swishing behind her vigorously, but she had a weird gut feeling that she could trust the girl talking to her. Her talons retracted and she felt her fangs sink back into her gums. Y/N’s y/e/c eyes looked back between Josie and the other teens. Her gaze landed on Jed, who coincidently turned to look at her in return. Their eyes locked, a weird fuzzy feeling swarming in both of their chests. It then hit the mermaid that the only reason why Jed heard her song and the rest of his friends didn’t is because he was her mate. 

This had to be wrong.

As fast as she could, Y/N moved her hand in front of her face and vanished from their sight. Though they couldn’t see her, they heard the swishing of water as she dove further into the lake. Josie looked back at the group, confused and unsure of what to do.

Seeing as though Y/N was not a danger to her or anyone else, the teens decided it was best to head back to school and figure out what to do next. While Jed’s friends were walking away he just stood there, waiting for her to resurface. There was no luck. Huffing in defeat, Jed followed after his friends.

Once the group arrived back to the school they were met with an angry headmaster. “What have I said about leaving the grill unattended? You’re luck the school didn’t burn down and that Wade turned it off before one of the kids got to it.” Oh he was angry. Simple things like this are what can set Mr. Saltzman over the edge sometimes, and this is just one of those times. 

As he went to lecture the teens further he noticed how everyone seemed shaken up almost. He asked them what was wrong, and was surprised by what they told him. The adult quickly ushered his students inside and led them to the library. Sure he had come in contact with Sirens before, when the twins were still very young, but those sirens were different. They didn’t have tails and they were being used by ‘The Devil’ and doing his bidding. 

“Are you going to tell us what’s going on?” Hope asked as she watched her teacher go digging through books until he found one he was looking for. He flipped page after page until he found the picture of a mermaid, then flipped it around to verify with the kids that this what they saw. 

Lizzie rolled her eyes as her dad started rambling on about how the sirens that he’s encountered never had tails, but did like the water, how they didn’t have talons or fangs, it went on for a little bit before the other twin interjected. “So what if this siren is different than those two that tried to kill us when we were little? Did you see how scared she was when she saw us? There’s no way she’ll ever come near us.”

All eyes landed on Jed, who had zoned out yet again. Jed snapped out of his trance and looked up to everyone staring at him. “I think I need to go back out there.” He said looking between all his friends. They all had a ‘why the hell would you want to do that’ look, plastered on their faces. “I felt something out there, when I looked at her. Not when I was in that trance, but when I actually looked at her.” He sighed as he realized no one else is going to understand what he was saying because they didn’t feel it. 

There was a small pause between all the chatter, no one really knowing what to say since this was such an odd situation. Hope was the first one to speak up, which was not a surprise to anyone. “If you want to go back out there we’ll support you on it.” With that being the only thing said the group went to put an emergency bag together just in case this mystery girl came out of the water ass-naked. 

While the teens were headed back to the lake, Y/N was drying herself off and getting ready to book it back to the main road and skip town. If the word got out that she had been spotted then all the people that had been after her before would definitely be coming after her again.

The thoughts of that strange boy being her mate kept making her stomach churn, in both good and bad ways. She didn’t want a mate, she never wanted out mainly because she always had the idea that they would never truly love her. She’s spent her life on the run, hiding from hunters and black market dealers. There weren’t very many sirens like her anymore, so catching one meant big bucks for the capture.

Once Y/N was ready to go she started making her way through the forest, trying to stay as quiet as she could just in case there were other things out in the woods. Before she could head out on the road she had to grab her belongs from the hotel she was staying in, seeing as though she didn’t want to leave any evidence of her being here behind.

Lost in her own train of though, the siren hadn’t even realized that she was about to cross paths with the group of teens again, who were not going to be ready to see a fully dressed siren wondering around the woods. Y/N’s head perked up as soon as she heard the crunching of leaves growing louder and louder. Before she could try to find a place to hide she was met face to face with her mate and his friends, all of them holding a bit of surprise in their faces as they saw her standing in front of them. 

“You- you can walk.” Jed stuttered out. 

Y/N scoffed, “Of course I can walk, and I can talk.” The tone in her voice was anything but friendly, a little warning sign for them to back off. When the group didn’t say anything, Y/N started to walk past them, hoping that they’d just let her go in peace. 

How she was wrong.

As she started to walk past Jed had had reached out and grabbed her wrist, a rookie mistake for anyone who didn’t know how insanely strong a siren was. Without hesitation Y/N turned around, hand landing flat against the werewolf’s chest. It was a flat handed punch of sorts, strong enough to send Jed flying a few feet away from her. The group watched as she did it so effortlessly, not even batting an eye as Jed struggled to regain his breathe and get up. 

For whatever reason, whether it was the mating bond or just the growing feelings for the girl, Jed was seeing stars and not just from how hard he had just hit his head. 

“What the hell was that for? We weren’t going to hurt you!” Lizzie yelled angrily, throwing her hands up in the air. Y/N shrugged.

“I do not like being touched, and I do not like any of you.” She stated simply. “Now, if you don’t mind.” As she went to make her way past them again, Hope stood in her way, a sarcastic grin on her face.

“Yeah, you’re not going anywhere till you tell us why Jed is the only one who’s able to hear your siren song.” The Tribrid crossed her arms over her chest as she awaited an answer.

Sighing, Y/N looked back at Jed who was standing up and making his way back to his friends. The siren looked back at the teens with a straight face. “He can hear my siren song because, unfortunately for the both of us, he is my mate.”

There were small gasps from the group, but noy from Jed. When Y/N looked back at the young wolf he was smiling, like he was actually happy about the announcement. 

“You’re my mate? No wonder I was in such a daze, I mean of course it was probably your siren song, but I could feel the bond and how close you were and all I wanted to do was to just come find you-” Jed’s ranting was caught off by Y/N putting her hand in the air to get him to shut up.

“You’re happy about this? Wouldn’t you rather be with someone of your own kind? A fellow werewolf?” Y/N questioned. 

Jed shook his head as he took a bold step forward to the girl, “I’m just happy I found you, I never thought I’d find my mate.” If it weren’t for the fact that everyone else was around the two mates, Jed probably would have tried to kiss Y/N, but he knew it was much too soon for that. Plus, she’d probably throw him against a tree again.

There was a silence as no one had any clue of what to say, but one thing was for sure and everyone’s stomachs were growling for the barbequed food they had left behind at the school. 

Kaleb clapped his hands together to gain everyone’s attention, “Why don’t we head back to the school, get something to eat, and you two can uh- sort this whole thing out. Sound like a plan?” Before anyone could say anything he started walking back in the direction of the school, the others following behind him. 

Y/N was going to wait till they were far enough ahead and then make a run for it, but when she went to turn around she hit her face straight into Jed’s chest. The boy was smiling down at her, which was kind of creepy in a way, but he couldn’t help it. Jed started walking behind his friends, and reluctantly Y/N followed them.

Reaching the school felt like it took hours since they were all so hungry, but as soon as they reached the grill where all the food was still warm it felt well worth the wait. Everyone started to fill their plates, talking and passing food. Though Y/N was hungry, she didn’t want to eat anything that was handed to her just in case they were trying to drug her or something. Instead, she went to the deep end of the pool and sat at the edge, her shoes discarded behind her as she dipped her feet in the water. She sighed in relief as she let the coolness of the water calm her down.

Unlike most mermaids who don’t have control of when they shift into the fishy form, Y/N did. She was old and had learned many spells that had helped her gain control of her shifting over the years. She closed her eyes and imagined she was home, deep in the ocean where no one could find her, where it was quiet calm. She hated the land, the people there were too greedy for their own good. 

Her peace was disturbed as Jed sat next to her, water splashing as his feet were submerged into the water. Y/N opened her eyes, narrowing them at the boy. She knew it was a bit irrational to be so angry over something so small, but she was just angry at everything at the moment. Jed smiled as he handed her plate of food, hoping that she’d takt it. It took a little nudge, but eventually Y/N took the food and slowly started to eat bits and pieces of it. 

“You know, if you don’t want to talk about it right now, we don’t have to. I just want you to know that I’d really like to get to know you, and for you to get to know me. I can feel the mistrust, the anxiety, but we’re not going to hurt you.” There was a pause as he looked into Y/N’s eyes, really meaning his next words, “I’m not going to hurt you.” 

Y/N was silent as she looked down at her plate of food, most of it already gone and she hadn’t even realized. Jed chuckled softly, knowing that she was probably starving deep down. 

“I do not trust anyone.” Y/N said slowly, which caught the rest of the group by surprise. “Many people, supernatural or not, want to hunt me, kill me, or sell me. I do not trust anyone.” Y/N’s eyes glanced up for a split second, just long enough to see the sadness that rested on everyone’s features. 

Jed gently put his hand on Y/N’s knee, and thankfully she didn’t move back from him. “We won’t let anything happen to you.” He smiled softly, the action warming Y/N’s cold heart just enough to make her smile a little bit. 

Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, to have a mate that was a werewolf. Maybe it wouldn’t be bad to stick around and see what happens. Just maybe.

Josie bounces you in her arms with one of her hands on the back of your head while you're crying your eyes out. Your sobs and crying are silent, wanting your big sister and everyone can tell you miss her even if you can't speak coherently yet.

You remember the feeling of another woman but she's been gone a long time. Now it's only Hope, your big sister, you have that same feeling with.

Josie holds you close and stands up from the couch in the living room, trying to quiet and calm you down a bit. Lizzie, Kaleb, MG, Finch, and Cleo are the only other ones in the room. They're all standing or sitting, trying to come up with a plan to get Hope's humanity back.

They hear heels clicking on the hardwood floor, "Hmm, I can help you with that. Stop trying" Hope walks into the Library with her arms crossed.

She glances at you for a moment before quickly moving her vision over to everyone else standing up now. Cleo starts a spell on her, but Hope picks up on it straight away and knocks the witch out with an easy spell. The older witch falls back onto the couch, unconscious.

"Hope, what are you doing here?" Josie asks, hiding your face under her jean jacket so you don't see any other incidents that may come.

"Do I need a reason to come back to my old school?" Hope rhetorically says.

You let out a loud whine, tears subsiding, hearing your sister's voice and wanting to go to her. You manage to escape from under Josie's jacket and make a grabby hand toward Hope while your other hand is holding onto Josie's shirt collar.

"What about your baby sister? The old you would have never been this unthoughtful" Josie exclaims, tightening her grip as hard as she can without hurting you.

Hope laughs with a scoff mixed in, she says, "This is your big plan? Saying some tiny touching thing about my sister and then insulting me? Heh, you can do better".

She started to walk over to the brunette twin. Lizzie moves quickly and stands in front of you both.

"What? You really think I'd hurt my own sister and the girl I had the smallest crush on for a measly week?" Hope chuckles at the taller girl.

She raises her hands and snaps the heretic's neck effortlessly before she could answer. After, she casts an immobilization spell on everyone except you.

Vamping over, Hope takes you into her arms and leaves the school before the spell wares off.

All of your tears immediately subside and your breathing levels out as you cling to the tribid.

She walks into the abandoned Mikaelson mansion that your guys' family used to live in for around two years. She's been staying in the house since a week after she turned her humanity off.

Hope walks up the staircase after locking the door and enters the room which she's taken, which is Klaus', or used to be anyways.

She puts you down on the bed and starts pacing back and forth. A second later you raise your hands up, wanting to be back in your sister's arms.

"What the hell is wrong with you, why'd you take her. There was absolutely no reason to, ughh. No, no way am I turning the damn thing back on. I see what your doing" Hope rambles to herself and her mind trying to get her to flip it back on, ignoring your pleas to be back in her hold.

"Hhh-o,mmhh" you whine, not being able to pronounce it.

You keep trying over and over, not being able to get it right, and Hope paying no mind to your babbling.

She can already feel her switch flittering between off and on, but she pauses as soon as she hears the word that comes out of your mouth.

"Ho...Hop... Hope" you finally pronounce correctly and yell out to your sister.

"What'd you just say?" She walks over and finally picks you up from the made bed.

"...Hope," you say again.

She closes her eyes, trying to fight off her switch, but after some time it was no use. Opening them back up slowly, she looks down at you in her grasp, holding onto a lock of her wavy auburn hair.

"Hey y/n/n, I'm sorry. I'm here now sweetie" Hope holds your tiny frame against her tightly, not wanting to let go.

You lay your head on her collarbone with a hand still in her hair, content and happy being back with your big sister.

"You said your first word" she whispers into your hair and kisses your head.

You never cared for the annual Salvatore prep versus Mystic Falls high flag football game, the biggest reason being that your childhood bully Michael from the rivaling school always took it as another opportunity to torment you.

Of course if you guys used your powers you could easily win the game but like every other year you made a promise to not use any powers and act like ordinary teenagers.

Before the game started Michael was talking trash as always and Landon tried to stand up for you but Michael just laughed him off, "good luck out there losers."

"God I wish we could use our powers to kick their asses," you huff.

"Don't let him get to you, he's just being a jerk," Landon says, taking your hand and guiding you back to your friends who are strategizing for the game.

When the game starts Michael and the Mystic Falls kids are so obviously playing dirty and by the second half of the match most of your team is on the bench with injuries.

During a play Michael literally knocks Landon to the ground without the ball being anywhere near him.

"What the hell! Do you seriously not see this? They are purposely hurting people!" You yell at the ref running to Landon and helping him up.

The ref shrugs and Michael grins, turning his back to you.

You're ready to lunge at Michael and start a fight but Landon holds you back.

"It's okay he's not worth it," Landon tells you but all you want is to get back at Michael for messing with Landon.

You shake it off and help Landon who is now limping get to the bench.

"If they hurt anyone else we are gonna have to forfeit, we are all that's left," MG states.

"Then we should just use our powers and beat them at their own game," you say angrily.

"I'm down for that," Kaleb quips.

"No guys we can't, we promised not to use our powers," Landon retorts.

"I'm with Y/N on this one," Lizzie adds, "if they want to fight dirty then so can we."

"You only say that because you want bragging rights over Dana," Josie says and Lizzie rolls her eyes.

"Landon is right, we can't use our powers no matter how irritating they are. We just have to get through the last quarter and be done with this stupid game," Hope sighs.

"Fine but if Michael hurts one more person I'm draining him of all his blood after the game," you threaten, everyone knowing you are very serious.

You begrudgingly make it through the end of the game, Mystic Falls high winning by 10 points and of course Michael rubs it in your face that they won once again.

You don't say anything to him knowing if you opened your mouth your fangs would surely come out to bite him right at his jugular.

Looking around you can't find your boyfriend anywhere which doesn't help calm you down.

"Hey, have you seen Landon?" You ask Rafael who was icing his shoulder after being knocked out in the second quarter.

"Huh, no I haven't seen him since he got hurt, maybe he went to the nurse," Rafael responds.

You head straight to the nurses office with no Landon to be found so you pull your phone out to text him.

'Where did you go??'

'Meet me at your dorm in fifteen minutes'

'Okay why?'

'It's a surprise'

You go to your dorm and wait for Landon to return, when he does he has bags full of food in his arms.

"Did you really go to the grill?" You say grabbing the bags from him as he's still slightly limping.

"Yeah well I knew you were upset so I snuck off during the last quarter and went to town to get your favorite for dinner. Plus I told your roommate to sleep somewhere else tonight so we can have a relaxing movie date," he explains, grabbing your laptop and setting it up on your bed.

"You are truly amazing, you know that," you say, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"I don't like seeing my boyfriend upset," he tells you, "I thought maybe this might cheer you up."

"I already feel so much better," you smile, kissing him sweetly, "now let's start a movie already and eat, I'm starving."

Just seeing all the comic book decor in MG's room makes me so sad that we never got to see him and Landon geek out together

The amount of (lame) TVD cameos in S1 was wild considering they did not keep that energy up

If I had a nickel for every time the Salvatore School made a fake exchange program with Mystic Falls High over a murder, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice

Dancing/Teaching them to dance to Latin music

This is a grab bag of characters from different fandoms and some general headcanons I have about them dancing to Latin music with you! For ones that are like fantasy/sci-fi, just imagine it is the Latin equivalent of music in said universe.

These are my own personal thoughts on these characters and I know not everyone will agree and that’s okay! I hope you still enjoy these!

Serious disclaimer: I already struggle with my cultural identity enough and feel comfortable enough to post things like this here. How I experience/d my culture may not be how you experience/d yours and vice versa.

If you see something and don’t like how I’ve interpreted it, described it, what have you, then just move on please.

Now onto the fun stuff!

The Warriors (1975)

Swan - You will have to coax him to the dance floor, but he has surprisingly great rhythm. Definitely catches you off guard when he throws in a spin here and there. He’s got the basic moves down and you can help him learn from there.

Ajax - He doesn’t want to dance, but when he sees you moving your hips in that way, he might finally be convinced. You need to be a very patient teacher to help him because he’s just trying to grind against you and isn’t entirely taking your lesson serious. Don’t let it put you off though, when you give him that look that you mean business, he’ll settle down. He’s not the best dancer, but he’s got the spirit! Definitely does better with the faster paced music.

Vermin - Oh boy. He’s also got the spirit, but his dancing is all over the place. He’s having a great time with you, but you’re gonna have to help him reel it in! He’s a great listener and learns the basics pretty fast. You could totally bring him to a family function and he will be the life of the party, he’ll get along great with everyone.

Apex Legends

Loba - You don’t have to ask her to dance and she is not asking you, she’s telling you to come dance. But in a playful way! She knows the moves and has great rhythm so 10/10 a great partner. If you are the one she is having to teach, she’ll gladly do so. She will have to remind herself to let you take the lead if that’s the position you’re trying for. She’s a great teacher and focuses on relaxing you, playing off of whatever moves you bring.

Revenant - No

Kaleb Cross - He’s never really had much time for dancing so he’s clueless. If you guys are out and you ask him to dance he will politely decline. You’ll have to teach him in private. He’s frustrated when he keeps messing up, but play it lighthearted and he’ll relax and get it down. He’s happy to oblige your request for a dance the next time.

Mirage - He’s good! Too good. You can’t keep up. He’s being super extra with his moves, the spins, the dips, he’s doing them all. It’s gonna be a fun time, but you’ll be out of breath by the end of it. He might miss a step here and there, but recovers quickly.

Octane - Huapango and Duranguense are his favorite and he’s definitely got the legs for it. You guys are going to be that couple. You know the one, the one that’s bouncing all over the dance floor. He also loves Zapateado. He’s not one for the slower dances, he’s got way too much energy for that.

Devil May Cry

Dante - He can definitely already dress the part, but doesn’t know the steps all that well. You might try to teach him, but he’s really a go with the flow kind of guy so he’ll tell you to not worry so much about it. Just vibe with the music and it sort of just comes to him as he follows your lead. Keeps up way better than expected at your family function when Payaso de Rodeo comes on. He’s got a huge grin on his face as he flies around the dancefloor.

Nero - Shy boy. Zero clue as to what he’s doing and doesn’t want to embarrass himself. He can’t really keep up with the faster paced music so a slower dance is more his speed. Really gets into the rhythm with Bachata.

Nico - If you ask her to dance, she is so down! Hell yeah! She knows how to move, too. 10/10 great partner whether she’s following or taking the lead. Whatever she doesn’t know, she picks up really fast. Great party guest, your family adores her!

V - He’s also shy, but he sees you sitting there watching all the other couples dancing. He’ll be observant of everyone else’s moves for awhile and then ask you to dance. He’s a laid back type of dancer, he doesn’t need to do all the fancy footwork to make sure you guys fit right in and have a good time.

Vergil - Oh dear. We all saw his demon form bust a move so we know he’s got it in him somewhere deep deep down. He’s into the classics which means whatever he dances with you will be a rendition of some kind of ballroom dancing. He’s read enough about Salsa, Merengue, and Paso Doble type dances to make something happen. It’s a little old fashioned and prim and proper how he moves. Throw a little hip dip into the mix and he’s looking at you like you have just committed the biggest scandal and his face might get red, but he’ll slowly start to get the hang of it.

Star Wars

Qui-Gon Jinn - You don’t have to ask, he’s already holding his hand out for you to take. He’s a Jedi, so you might hesitate especially if you are, too, but he assures you that the two of you have nothing to hide. You affections for each other do not consume the other and he comforts you with the fact that he understands and respects the position that the two of you are in. He’s very familiar, though not proficient, with the steps.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - You invite him to a family function and try to guide him to where everyone is dancing. He’s pretty reserved and insists that he’s alright, but seeing you walk away trying to hide your disappointment convinces him. He’s not one for dancing so you’ll have to show him the steps. Wait does his leg really go there? This feels really intimate to him and he might have some objections, but you assure him that it’s totally normal and not as scandalous as he might think.

Cassian Andor - He dances and he dances well. 14/10 with rhythm. There’s a cantina you two frequent where you go dancing. He loves to dance to any style. You guys are definitely the “regular couple” who look like they know what they’re doing and the dance comes naturally to the two of you. Whether it’s platonic or romantic, he is a welcome staple at your family gatherings. If you show up without him be prepared for an interrogation: “donde esta Cassian?” “Cassian no es contigo?”

Din Djarin - You’re both alone on the Razorcrest and you’re still riding the high from being at whatever cantina/party you guys were at, dancing in the cockpit. You coax him into joining you for a dance. He’ll reluctantly admit he has zero clue as to what he’s doing. He’s willing to learn, but timid with his movements. Bring him to a family function and he’ll shy away, he does better around people who are less likely to see him again.

Boba Fett - Has some knowledge of this style of dancing, enough that you two don’t look totally lost in the sauce. He’s not so sure how socially acceptable his leg/hand placements are or the way you two are moving when you have to stand really close, but with some assurance from you, he’ll get the hang of it. Once he gets comfortable, you two are definitely that spicy couple on the dance floor at the cantina!

Batman

Bruce Wayne - He only knows the basic steps Alfred taught him, enough to get by at parties and social gatherings. He’s nervous, but wants to learn for you. After the first time he failed to get the steps right at whatever party you guys were at, he went home and reluctantly asked Alfred to help him learn to dance so he could surprise you next time. He adores being around your family, the closeness of the gatherings warms him and your family makes sure to make him feel welcome. Bruce even has Alfred help him cook so he can pitch in and bring a dish.

Alfred Pennyworth - Oh, he knows how to dance! Mostly ballroom, but he can adapt and pick up on things quite fast. If you bring him to the family function, he’s sure to impress everyone with his manners and his moves. All the tias at the party are silent and won’t give you any lip! He prefers slower dances with you because he’s not so focused on the steps so much as he is on you. 15/10 your family wants him back at the next carne asada. Oh and tell him to bring the Batfam! They sound lovely!

Harvey Dent - Him, dance to this? No. He’s a big guy and hard to miss which means any mistakes he might make will be noticeable. He wants to save himself the embarrassment. Maybe when a slower song comes on. He’s really sorry, but promises to somehow make it up to you. He’s definitely beating himself up. If you manage to get him out on the dance floor, he’s too worried about how he looks to focus on just enjoying himself.

Two-Face - Does not give a single fuck about how he looks. He knows a few moves and will surprise you with some fancy spins. He’s wayyy more confident in his abilities than Harvey. He’s more open to learning what he doesn’t know and definitely enjoys the close contact with you. Is it you or is it hot in here??

Bane - 15/10. Being from Santa Prisca, the man knows what he’s doing. He knows how to dance and has the best footwork despite his size. If anything, he’s teaching you how to dance. Romantic/sensual dances like Bachata are his favorite to do with you. Always welcome to the family gatherings.

Black Mask - Similar to Bruce, he knows enough to get by. What gets him interested in learning is being out at a club and seeing other guys asking you to dance. That is not going to fly. He’ll guide you to the dance floor and be open to your teachings if it mean getting everyone else to back off of you. He picks up pretty well and forgets being paranoid/angry. 9/10 he is very interested in doing this again with you.

Jason Todd - Oh yeah, he’s got this down. Not afraid to spice it up on the dance floor with how he holds you or where his hands are. Dancing with him is intense when you’re among strangers like at a club, but with family he’s much more tame. Being with the Batfam, he’s great with your siblings and cousins. He’s definitely the bad boy/rebel of the bunch, but he’s yours!

Marvel

Steve Rogers - Well he did kinda skip this part of his life, but if he backed down from a challenge then he wouldn’t be the hero he is today. You pull him to the dance floor and he is all for it. The basics are there, but he’ll need some work. You mention returning to a club or a family gathering coming up and he asks that you practice some moves with him. To your surprise, he dances Cumbia pretty damn well.

Bucky Barnes - He’s still adjusting to just being Bucky again so he won’t come easily if you try to get him on the dance floor. Once he’s out there with you, he’s shy and reserved, suddenly it’s like he forgot how to even do a basic school side-to-side shuffle. Be patient and help him along and he’ll fall back into the flow of the moves. He really likes dancing Norteñas and loosen him up enough and he’ll come around to Cumbia.

Peter Parker - God he knows he can’t dance, but he really wants to impress you so before you guys go out, he researches latin dances and the music styles. He wants to be bold and take initiative so he asks you to dance first. He’s nervous at first and might ramble all the facts he learned during his research: did you know what is cited as the first cumbia outside of Columbia is "La Cumbia Cienaguera"? Totally just know that from a book he read and not during his late night deep dive on the internet. He’s an 8/10 on applying what he learned!

Loki - Are you sure this is how he’s supposed to hold you? This feels really intimate. Kinda wishing he hadn’t been goaded by Thor into asking you to dance. He’s the better dancer of the two of them, but it occurs to him now that he has no idea what he’s doing. He’s gonna ask you to trust him and he’ll improvise a lot, but somehow it works!

Ultron - That’s really cute. You’re so adorable. Wait, you’re serious?

Ulysses Klaue - No one can convince me that he can’t dance. I am firm in my belief that he can and he has way too much fun with it. Judging from the singing to Haddaway, he digs house music and has visited many a club. He’s traveled a lot so I have no doubt that he can do Latin dances. He’s a little silly about it so you’ll have to reel him in a bit.

Venom (not MCU, but still Marvel) - Eddie is down, but Venom is EXCITED. Yes, Venom would love to dance let’s go! It’ll be difficult to dance since Eddie and Venom will probably be at war with each other on how to go about moving in one body and with you since they both have different ideas of what they should be doing. You’ll help bring some balance between them; Eddie will be comfortable while Venom will still get to express themself.

That’s it! These are ones I just had on the top of my head, there’s plenty others I could have done, but didn’t have much to write about or I’d need to go back and watch/read some stuff to get a better idea.
