Ooh that’s ok lol sorry! I was kind of vague. But I can just make a post detailing what the core purpose of this fic is:

Black Horns, White Fang is my fanfiction rewriting the most… problematic parts of the White Fang arc. Alongside that, it also covers ground from before canon even began, changing up smaller things in canon (I.E: I took the “Faunus can only have 1 trait” rule out back and shot it in the head, among other things), and focuses almost solely upon these two characters: Adam and Sienna. Fleshing out their backstories, personalities, traits, etc. and just… doing the same kind of thing for the broader WF too.

Though this fanfiction is definitely not going for the same tone as the original show. While there will be some comedic moments scattered around, I do want to say things get dark.

one of the things that's the most fucking frustrating for me about arguing with climate change deniers is the sheer fucking scope of how much it matters. sweating in my father's car, thinking about how it's the "hottest summer so far," every summer. and there's this deep, roiling rage that comes over me, every time.

the stakes are wrong, is the thing. that's part of what makes it not an actual debate: the other side isn't coming to the table with anything to fucking lose.

like okay. i am obviously pro gun control. but there is a basic human part of me that can understand and empathize with someone who says, "i'm worried that would lead to the law-abiding citizens being punished while criminals now essentially have a superpower." i don't agree, but i can tell the stakes for them are also very high.

but let's say the science is wrong and i'm wrong and the visible reality is wrong and every climate disaster refugee is wrong. let's say you're right, humans aren't causing it or it's not happening or whatever else. let's just say that, for fun.

so we spend hundreds of millions of dollars making the earth cleaner, and then it turns out we didn't need to do that. oops! we cleaned the earth. our children grow up with skies full of more butterflies and bees. lawns are taken over with rich local biodiversity. we don't cry over our electric bills anymore. and, if you're staunchly capitalist and i need to speak ROI with you - we've created so many jobs in developing sectors and we have exciting new investment opportunities.

i am reminded of kodak, and how they did not make "the switch" to digital photography; how within 20 years kodak was no longer a household brand. do we, as a nation, feel comfortable watching as the world makes "the switch" while we ride the laurels of oil? this boggles me. i have heard so much propaganda about how america cannot "fall behind" other countries, but in this crucial sector - the one that could actually influence our own monopolies - suddenly we turn the other cheek. but maybe you're right! maybe it will collapse like just another silicone valley dream. but isn't that the crux of capitalism? that some economies will peter out eventually?

but let's say you're right, and i'm wrong, and we stopped fracking for no good reason. that they re-seed quarries. that we tear down unused corporate-owned buildings or at least repurpose them for communities. that we make an effort, and that effort doesn't really help. what happens then? what are the stakes. what have we lost, and what have we gained?

sometimes we take our cars through a car wash and then later, it rains. "oh," we laugh to ourselves. we gripe about it over coffee with our coworkers. what a shame! but we are also aware: the car is cleaner. is that what you are worried about? that you'll make the effort but things will resolve naturally? that it will just be "a waste"?

and what i'm right. what if we're already seeing people lose their houses and their lives. what if it is happening everywhere, not just in coastal towns or equatorial countries you don't care about. what if i'm right and you're wrong but you're yelling and rich and powerful. so we ignore all of the bellwethers and all of the indicators and all of the sirens. what if we say - well, if it happens, it's fate.

nevermind. you wouldn't even wear a mask, anyway. i know what happens when you see disaster. you think the disaster will flinch if you just shout louder. that you can toss enough lives into the storm for the storm to recognize your sacrifice and balk. you argue because it feels good to stand up against "the liberals" even when the situation should not be political. you are busy crying for jesus with a bullhorn while i am trying to usher people into a shelter. you've already locked the doors, even on the church.

the stakes are skewed. you think this is some intellectual "debate" to win, some funny banter. you fuel up your huge unmuddied truck and say suck it to every citizen of that shitbird state california. serves them right for voting blue!

and the rest of us are terrified of the entire fucking environment collapsing.

What's the name of the Bloodmoon & little Sun Au & what's the backstory to it?

I never really gave it an 'Official' AU title, it became known as the "Lil Sun AU" cause that's what my friends called it when i first shared the comic lol. For some backstory, Bloodmoon twins (split apart originally) where created and raised in a lab as experiments (among many others) before escaping and living freely. They didn't care much for civilization or settling down so they chose the life of a wanderer and feeding off the wildlife to survive. Later finding Sun, an newly escaped experiment, taking him in even though he causes a huge risk to their safety. With many scientists/military an trained beasts out to re-capture Sun to take him back. :>

Here's a small rant about a fun thing I realised with the two TGAA games

Did you know that the two games have a colour motif to them? With Adventures being red, and Resolve - blue?

I'm sure most people are aware, as it is most apparent in their respective save files. (Excuse the crappy image)

And as most people are aware, these colours are HEAVILY present in the games, most notably to represent two of the main characters - Kazuma and Ryunosuke.

But the question here is WHY have this colour motif for each game? And more specifically, WHY is Adventures in red and Resolve in blue?

It's because it was Kazuma's Adventure that we embarked on in TGAA 1, and Ryunosuke's Resolve which we witnessed in TGAA 2.

I really find this detail poetic and quite beautiful even? It gives an extra layer to Ryunosuke's journey and arc, that didn't even need to be there, but it is.

There are so many little bits and details throughout the game, and I wanted to shout out one of them :)

As a response to last ask you got I feel SAO would fundamentally change in plot if Kirito had been a girl... but whether this would have "saved" SAO or brought it more genuine interest irks me though because it's insinuating Kirito as he currently is right now is otherwise the clas8x "bad light novel character" I suppose? (A-1's anime adaptation ruined SAO's image to many more than anything, especially due mudding out Kirito's dorky yet withdrawn personality via skimming out his inner dialogue and putting more emphasis his brooding persona and badassery)

Sorry if it came venting as I enjoy Kirito a lot in both ways, but find an issue on implications of female gender -> more interesting character/main lead among feminine-looking guys on SAO's tag lately (idk,I guess people in general think Kirito currently is so bad that any fan depiction of him is always going to gain more following over them looking any deeper on what was lost in the transition to anime and finding out his real enjoyable character in the light novels, like how he has clear fetish for describing male guys in pretty romantic ways at times or just having really dorky quips to say)

I haven’t been able to read the Light novels yet (😭) so I’m currently an anime only fan. I genuinely love SAO so much but I don’t think it has the best of writing? Guilty pleasure type of show except I’ve been working on the not feeling guilty part lol.

My blog is centered around the headcanon that Kirito is a trans girl. I personally think this due to her behavior throughout the series, the particularly the Phantom Bullet arc (for obvious reasons). As such, a lot of the people who follow me also have the same headcanon, and many also believe that SAO as a whole would be better if Kirito was canonically female.

Personally, I don’t think the story of SAO would really change, because for me Kirito canonically ring a girl would mean her still being trans. I think the general idea comes from the fact that one of the themes in the show is your online self often being more “real” or true to your beliefs and person than your real life self. Kirito being trans adds into this theme in a very fascinating and nuanced way.

There’s also the fact that after SAO gained popularity, many isekais were made after with the same general format, including the base for their protagonist. It’s kinda a jokey way of saying “If Kirito was a girl, we probably wouldn’t have gotten so many crappy Kirito clones throughout the years”. It’s not really anything meant to be taken seriously, at least I don’t think so lol

As I said previously, many of my followers share this belief simply because of what my blog is about. Even though I’ve explained what I think they mean, you still might be upset by it, and that’s perfectly okay! However, if that’s the case, I recommend either not interacting with or even blocking my blog. Your enjoyment of this franchise shouldn’t be hindered by other people, and that means taking the steps to make sure you curate your experience, so everyone can have fun!

Secrets of the Obscure is alright and all but am I the only one kinda miffed that they ripped off a lot of it from Dragon Age: Inquisition and didn't really add or change enough to be it's own unique thing?

even the rift hunting mechanic is Exactly The Same, because you Open the rift, then fight something then close it. the animation is almost 1-1 and even the eye in the rift looks like the Inquisition eye. if it wasn't for the fact that Even The Mechanic is the same I might not have noticed it so much, but the more I play the more blatant it feels

and then their wizard lore also just feels like how demons come out of the Fade in Dragon Age to possess mages. it's almost exact

disclaimer that I'm still enjoying it because it's fun and I like that we get to see Zojja again and have a better map for practicing skyscales for those who don't have one yet, but uh...this whole plot was stolen!

and yes I know there are certain fantasy tropes that re-occur in fantasy over and over, but this doesn't feel like that. it feels like the writers legit just snapped the base ideas from DAI and then barely added or changed anything to make it uniquely Guild Wars

imo it's definitely the weakest of all the packs

which is a shame because I LOVEDDDDD the intro. the whole sequence of having to defend yourself and run for your life was so ridiculously tense, I really felt like I was playing a horror game

whumpee is possessed by a ghost. it's obvious it's happening, caretaker can see whumpee struggling to try and regain control of their body. whumpee's eyes are glowing and the voice that comes from their mouth is both whumpee's and the ghost's.

the ghost only wanted to speak through whumpee. once whumpee is finally set free, then fall to their knees. they shake, they cough up ectoplasm, it drips from their nose, their eyes, their mouth.

maybe whumpee has been possesed before. they're terrified that like, like people always do, caretaker will be terrified, grossed out, etc. they expect caretaker to leave them.

but caretaker doesn't. caretaker rubs whumpee's back as whumpee chokes on the sickness. they hold whumpee's hair back if it's long enough. "get it out, you'll feel better." when whumpee finally collapses on their side, their whole body aching, caretaker lays a blanket/cloak/jacket over them, laying whumpee's head in their lap, shushing them to rest. "shh, it's okay. deep breaths. you can rest. i won't leave you."

Similarities between Ch 24-25 and current storyline of BSD:

For context, Ch 24 & 25 deal with Q introduction and Q brainwashing Atsushi, only for Dazai to return and save him.

In ch 24, Dazai and Atsushi are together when Dazai senses a threat- somebody is following them, i.e. mafia. Dazai leaves Atsushi behind alone and goes to deal with the threat.

Dazai exchanges words with Higuchi and Gin trying to figure out what their plan is.

Dazai realizes that Q(Kyuusaku) was released, and the threat was not with him, but with Atsushi whom Dazai left behind.

Dazai rushes back to save Atsushi--

Meanwhile, Atsushi's co-workers Naomi and Haruno are injured and Atsushi breaks down feeling he is responsible for it(even though it was Q's brainwashing.)

Atsushi breaks down and feels unworthy to be alive--

Dazai arrives and neutralizes the threat of Q.

Dazai saves Atsushi from the brink of despair with some advise and a questionable slap to Atsushi's face to wake him out of his downward spiral.

Current storyline:

Dazai senses the looming threat of Fyodor over the ADA and Atsushi. Dazai leaves Atsushi behind but this time with ADA and Akutagawa as backup!

Dazai mentally spars with Fyodor during his stay at jail, trying to uncover Fyodor's plans.

Dazai realizes a great calamity has been unleashed(god-like Fukuchi & Fyodor), the actual threat was not in Meursault but back at the airport in Yokohama with Atsushi and others.

Dazai is far away but trying to get back--

Meawhile, Atsushi's co-workers Tanizaki, Kunikida and Kenji are killed before him and Atsushi feels responsible for their fates as it was his fault he failed to save them!

Atsushi breaks down and accepts his impending death---

!!! It is Fyodor who arrives and neutralizes the threat of Fukuchi!!!

Fyodor arrives with a proclamation that he is here to save Atsushi...? (Atsushi who is currently vulnerable and in a downward guilt spiral!)

Ch 24-25 ends on a happier note with Atsushi finally crying and recovering from his downward spiral, he finds some support and hope as he follows Dazai and his colleagues back to the agency.

But what about the current storyline?

Because Fyodor has kinda hijacked Dazai's role as Atsushi's saviour-- saviour as in the person Atsushi relies on for hope and guidance when the situation is dire. (not that Atsushi is happy with this new saviour.)

Will Fyodor really "save" Atsushi? If so what is he actually saving Atsushi from?

And what about Dazai? Can he return in time to save Atsushi and the rest of the ADA?

As always, there are so many questions...
