Been a while since I've drawn these guys! Emerald City Comic Con was such a rejuvenating experience. I met so many amazing people, small and big artists alike, all incredible, all equally valuable and fun to talk to. Drew this Saturday night while completely exhausted, but I'm glad I did.

The HoofFellas.com site is down and that's my doing; the type of plan I need to host comics is $300 a year and I can't really afford that right now, especially since I'm not currently updating. You can still read HF on WebToons and on my Patreon, even if you're not subscribed (Patreon.com/ChessAlbaneze).

Right now I'm finishing a comic called Achilles and Patroclus and will come back to weekly HF updates as soon as that concludes. When I bring the site back, it'll probably be something like ArtByChess.com/HoofFellas or something like that so I can create a space for all my comics to live. I look forward to bringing you all A&P as well as HF.

My partner and friend said the red sketch lines looked cool so I decided to include them here rather than digitally erase them the way I typically do for this comic. It was so nice to draw these guys again, like visiting old friends.

Okay, just one more post on the last Hoof Fellas update, I swear.

Scorpius actually reassuring Otto and being a good big brother blows my whole “passed a lot of the child-raising onto Jekyll” headcanon out of the water.

I never doubted that Scorpius loves his little brother, but I had imagined him being slightly incompetent when it came to bringing him up. Now I’m thinking he’d actually try to put in the effort. Well, as much effort as he can put into anything.

*Cue a cute domestic scene*

“Sir, what are you doing?”

“It’s his lunchtime, silly! What does it look like?

“Those are spiders.”

“Exactly! To become a healthy, well-rounded demon one has to eat a few arachnids.”

*Tired sigh, but goes to assist anyway*

Naturally I have a paper to write this weekend, but memes are a more enjoyable use of my time.

All of my followers really have to read Hoof Fellas. It's funny, diabolical, and oh so beautiful. It really deserves some more love.

Life's been getting me down a little lately, but that's nothing a little writing couldn't cure!

Since my D&D character is sans campaign right now, I was thinking how well he would fit into the Hoof Fellas universe, being a morally ambiguous satyr and all.

Hopefully it's worth a little entertainment.

Honestly ever since that last update with Scorpius and Otto, I've been constantly wondering about their family dynamic. If Otto has never really met his family outside of his brother, who raised him? Is there a father in the picture?

It has been said Otto lived with Scorpius before going to college, so did Scorpius raise him? If so....HOW did he ever raise a child? Did Jekyll do a lot of the work? I just have too many questions.
