I wish hoodjinx were more active. Theyre a really chill community but can't stay active unless there's a free event going...

You know, that’s kind of surprising because I seem to recall that species having one of the biggest free MYO events at launch. I didn’t have a chance to finish mine but everyone and their dog was making one.

But there was that drama with the owner calling someone out in an announcement that I also remember and that pushed some people to leave too,

(in reply to an older anon talking about hoodjinx) the hoodjinx founder isn't really apart of the species much anymore? at least i haven't seen them around. it's mostly run by a small handful of mods. they're all very very nice and i've seen them spend their personal cs money and stuff to help new users get their jinx approved. they're running a small event right now too! regardless it's a nice little community and I really enjoy it! ^^

mod how many times have you seen closed species witchhunt someone not even in the community because their blue and yellow furry oc looks vaguely similar to another cs

off the top of my head i remember

keychain ruas accusing an open species for creating... keychain-themed adopts

hoodjinx's owner directly linking other species in an announcement

laneycore accusing scarfox of copying a design of their fox

and mostly other species that disallow certain features because it looks too much like another i.e. teabeetles/terraliens not allowed to have curled tails less they be mistaken for a chimereon or jellocats unable to have certain mouth shapes because they'd resemble a cccat too much

for the most part individual people don't seem to care if something looks similar but it's pretty obvious for people that do care

(reply to hoodjinx anon) I've been in hoodjinx for a while and there's been no drama that I'm aware of. it's kind of a dead species but the people that are active are nice enough and it's a pretty positive space.
