You know, isn't it kinda fucked how often Anarchists say that they'll deal with a problem by going "We'll just get a guy who's hyperfixated on it". Like really, aren't you just exploiting their neurodivergence for your own benefit. You clearly don't care about their personal development and flourishing you just want like the Autistic Sewage Guy to deal with your shit so you don't have to worry about it or (god forbid) do something you'd rather not do. Sounds pretty Ableist to me...

I saw something on twitter where people are saying that they are glad dc picked a struggle and now they are sticking with it. It was in regards to DickBabs and the shipping war and etc. I’m so sad because it’s not about the shipping wars for me. It’s about Barbara Gordon being my favorite character and DC giving her dirt. It is about people saying “omg let us stop hating on Tom Taylor because she is touching Dick’s butt in this panel and aren’t you tired of being haters?” so let’s continue to disregard the ableism of this run. I feel so sick. I’m upset honestly want to cry because people will never understand why disability if so important and why we have to continually fight for it. I’m so done. I loved Babs with all my heart but honestly I hate her now. She means absolutely nothing to me anymore.
Yeah, this pretty much sums it up. What I've taken to doing is a multi pronged approach.
1. I am collecting all the Oracle stuff I can in order to have that to read. 124 issues of Birds of Prey alone is a lot, and with recent acquisition I'm at approx. 80 of those issues being mine. Getting there! And that isn't even mentioning NML, post crisis Batman, Suicide Squad, etc.
2. Ignoring modern canon pretty much wholesale. Adaptations aside (I'm a sucker for video games, excluding a certain one), modern canon is dead to me essentially.
3. I write my own Babs!Oracle stories, and threads, elsewhere.
4. I have other old heads about Oracle to gush about, to keep her memory alive!
