#honestly sock opera is gonna really shake up the status quo

Universe Falls Arc 5

K so since we’re drawing ever closer to the end of this arc, and ever closer to the beginning of arc 5, I figured that I might as well drop this early. And by this I mean the list of chapter titles as well as short little descriptions for each chapter, just to get ya’ll hype for it! Why? Because I’m fucking hype for this arc, the one I like to call the “trauma arc” (and with good reason imo its fucking bonkers) so with that said, here it is: 

Chapter 41: Full Disclosure After their narrow escape from Peridot’s ship, the kids have to come to terms with how things have changed. As Dipper and Mabel try to hide the truth of their harrowing adventure from Stan, Steven tries to distance himself from both the twins and Connie in order to keep them safe. 

Chapter 42: Joy Ride The teens offer to take the kids out for a night of fun to help them deal with their stress. However, Mabel is quick to go back to her matchmaking ways upon seeing sparks of romance between Robbie and Tambry. 

Chapter 43: Sock Opera To impress her newest crush, Mabel plans out a sock puppet rock opera with Steven’s help while Dipper and Connie try to unearth the laptop’s secrets. However, things turn quite deadly as an old, triangular foe returns, seeking to make a deal with Dipper.

Chapter 44: Do It For Them Pearl begins training Dipper and Connie in the art of swordplay, but Mabel and Steven soon start to worry for the pair after Pearl starts taking her training a bit too far. 

Chapter 45: Soos and the Real Girl Soos turns to a rather clingy dating simulation after Steven and Dipper try to help him find a date. Meanwhile, Mabel and Connie attempt to set Jamie the mailman up with Garnet. 

Chapter 46: Keeping it Together While hunting Peridot down, the Gems and the kids unearth a horrific secret in the Kindergarten

Chapter 47: Society of the Blind Eye After discovering a secret society dedicated to suppressing the towns’ memories of the supernatural, the kids try to find the keys to filling in the gaps of Old Man McGucket’s missing memories. At the same time, the Gems begin to discover that there are more connections between them and the unknown author of the journal than they thought. 

Chapter 48: The Ballad of Rose and Greg Part 1: Like a Comet Greg tells the story of how him and Rose Quartz first met.

Part 2: We Need to Talk Greg details how he attempted to fuse with Rose, only to develop a different kind of connection with her instead. 

Chapter 49: Northwest Mansion Mystery Pacifica contracts Dipper to help in ridding Northwest Mansion of a ghost before an illustrious party. At the same time, Steven and Connie try to take back the Rose’s sword after Dr. Maheswaran confiscates it. 

Chapter 50, part 1: Not What He Seems After Stan is arrested and the Gems are forced into hiding, the kids uncover a massive secret that makes them question everything they thought they knew about their guardians, the past, and Gravity Falls itself. 

Chapter 50, part 2: A Tale of Two Stans After the long-awaited appearance of the author, Stan reveals the mysteries of his past, as well as the tarnished connection between him and his long lost brother, who seems to be quite familiar with the very confused Gems. 

And there you have it! Just some rough descriptions of what’s to come! I’m so damn excited for this arc, mostly since almost every chapter in it is a heavy hitter. But alas, until then I still have five more chapters to go in this arc, so I must be off to finish them! But enjoy the hype train as arc 5 draws ever nearer!
