There's the Staff Move I was Expecting
Yep, announcement thread's locked now. Way to go BB, being a giant turd in the pool and pissing off everyone because they had a different opinion around you. You didn't learn from the first 3 times you were told to lighten the fuck up, or from the first two times all your posts had to be removed and now the thread's closed. To you and all the others who decided to take critique of something that had nothing to do with you personally and heaven forbid other people didn't. Sincerely, thanks.
As far as this move, and I knew it was coming as soon as the first "this looks painful" post happened. Rather than ever actually talk to the community, Staff did exactly what I was waiting for. Lock and Ignore. Like every other time they've throw a content molotov cocktail into the game and look surprised when the place boils over because of it.
Seriously, you guys, if this is the reaction your experiments get, why do you keep doing them? Is it because you enjoy this sort of community response? Is this your way of slipping Plague content in, since only plague people like this gene (nothing against that, I'm a pustule too, but Keel looks like crap unless you're being super tight on theme colors. Blacks, browns, radioactive, cream, that's all the colors that 'work' and none of those are colors I like and can use anywhere else) instead of just coming out and nuking the flight like you've been wanting to do from day 5?
Why make everyone else suffer with a shit gene squatting on a good name because 5 people can make teeth out of them? Just call the damn gene Spikey-Boi and give everyone else some the decent Keel lines that they'd probably make for you for free if it meant forum bragging rights. People have been throwing gene concepts at you for free since the game started, and most have been better than what you've come up with for the last 3 years. (I can't wait to see their take on 'Fawn' or 'Dapple' and have it be fucking neon gradient paisley print everywhere, "Lol, because it's round, like Fawn spots"). Just buy the rights to the designs at a freelancer rate, it isn't hard, since at least the players seem to understand the "make the gene look like it'll work with several other genes" rule that you don't follow yourselves.
Who made that lens flare fake gene on the old DR? I betcha that's going to be their next release, calling it Halo or Glow or something, it fits right in with their other decisions about what "looks good"...
Christ, this has pretty much sealed my wallet on FR, declining-art-quality (art errors going unfixed, apparel looking like cheap theater costume shit instead of fabric with weight, rebooting apparel that didn't need rebooting -just call it a second set, you still had the original art files!), no actual forum control (warnings and forum-bans work on little shit-starters, guys), a trash-&-ignore policy for people asking for clarification (not just here, but basically on any announcement), if it's not ball-gargling praise, they'll never reply, and only reply to who ever strokes them off the best anyway). Yeah, no. I ain't ditching my lore-writing group, but my whitelist is loosing a member and I'm never buying gems with actual money again, this game isn't worth that consideration anymore.
Bleah, don't reply to me. I don't care what you salty bastards here think. I'd proudly say this on the forums, but then I'd get game-banned for being honest hostile (because I guess you totally need the forums to play the rest of the game. A plain forum-ban would be a blessing in disguise).
[Sidenote: It's double-shit that this anon crap is the only way you can actually be properly frustrated and not get boiled in oil afterwards by the white knighters.]

Happy Monday people! . For the past few weeks, I’ve been using this @s2cosmedical_official BB Super Brightening Blemish Balm, and here’s my experience. . 🌸 Benefits: . 🌸 BB Creams are a good way to wear a moisturizer & slight foundation in one. 🌸 Gives skin a natural glow. 🌸 Evens skin tone. 🌸 Contains natural extracts for soothing skin. 🌸 Provides natural light coverage. 🌸 Skin is smoothie with no stickiness. 🌸 Provides natural sun protection. 🌸 Whitening: I am not sure if this is actually meant to lighten” the skin. If so; I do not approve of products that are trying to make the skin appear, or become “whiter”. My last product review was also on this topic, so I won’t go into detail about it. I just know Kbeauty brands need to step up, and update products to not state they will “whiten” the skin. If they contain any Bleach, that’s definitely not good for anyone’s skin! 😱. . My experience on this BB Cream: 🌸 I am not sure I like the color, it might be good for some skin tones, but not mine. 🌸 The coverage is pretty good, but I prefer the coverage and smoothness of CC Creams. 🌸 I only use a very small amount, so it will last me quite awhile! 🌸 I’d recommend for anyone with skin blemishes, or who wish to use in place of their regular foundation. It’s good for sensitive skin as well. . I wish to thank @0.8l_usa for sending me this product to try at a trial offer for my honest opinion. . #s2cosmedical #s2 #secondskin #bbcresm #natural #brighteningcream #kbeauty #skinaddict #08liter #08L #literite https://www.instagram.com/p/BzrUAqsp4EU/?igshid=1e57b9fv0z0wv

FAVORITE BASE PRODUCTS 2019!
Hey everyone! For my first content post I wanted to talk about my holy grail face products. I have numbered each product so that way it’s a lot easier to read each individual product review. I swear my alllllllllll of these products and all of them are definitely worth the splurge, but don’t feel like you have to buy anything, especially the more expensive items. Hope this helps!
1. NYX BB Cream in the shade 02 “Natural” : This product is an amazing, light coverage layer that evens skin tone and provides some coverage! However, the shade range is not great—only 3 (!!!) light colors are offered, which in my opinion is absolutely horrendous. Even though the formula is absolutely stunning, long wearing and affordable, it’s very disappointing that only three skin tones can appreciate how great it is. That being said, if you happen to be one of the lucky 3 (like myself) I do highly recommend this product for all skin types for a light coverage moment like school, work, or even just carving out your brows! ($13)
2. Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder in shade “Fair Light” : This powder is absolutely amazing. It helps minimize oil and also works with dry skin as well. The shade range is absolutely stunning and provides shades for all skin tones. The powder does not flash back, feels soft and velvety on the skin, and is only $6! I can not recommend a product more, it’s probably my favorite face product I’ve ever purchased. ($6)
3. Makeup Revolution Highlight Palette : I love this palette even though I can only highlight with two of the colors. They are absolutely B-L-I-N-D-I-N-G! The colors will fit so many different skin tones because there are four colors in the palette: a light gold, rose gold, bronze, and dark bronze. The ones you can’t highlight with you can use as eyeshadows or inner corner highlights to get your money’s worth. The price is right too! ($15)
4. Elf Cream Blush : To be honest, I have only used this product one time so far (because I bought it yesterday LOL) but I can already tell this blush is everything I’ve been looking for. All the blushes I’ve tried emphasize my pores or are too light, so I picked this one up from Ulta for $4 during a “why not?” moment. Let me tell you though, this cream blush lasted with the same color payoff for SEVEN hours. Seriously. After seven hours it still looked like I had just applied it. Not to mention, but I actually applied the cream blush OVER my powder and it looked stunning, I can only imagine what it will look like under it! Don’t be scared of cream blush, especially not this one. I highly recommend! ($4)
5. Elf Clear Brow Gel & Mascara : Girllllll this stuff is so BOMB! You simply run it through your brows and they keep them in place all day long. When I first purchased it I was worried that I wouldn’t use the mascara side because I’m not one for clear mascara. However, I discovered that you don’t need to use the clear mascara as MASCARA, you can use it as brow gel once the clear brow gel runs out. I bought it at CVS but they also sell it at Target, Rite Aid, and so many more drugstores for less than $5! ($2)
6. NYX Micro Brow Pencil in shade “Chocolate” : I have literally been using this brow pencil since almost day one (2017) and it’s really the best. I love it better than any gel, pomade, or any other pencil I’ve tried—and I’ve had my fair share of trials and errors when it comes to brows. They have so many beautiful shades for all skin tones and brow colors (“Chocolate” is my absolute dead-on match) and the way the pencil is designed allows for you to get the perfect shape super easily. There is a great amount of product and it comes with a spoolie on the end too, an added bonus! ($10)
7. NYX Born to Glow highlighter : I picked up this highlighter close to a year ago because I saw it at Ulta and I thought it “looked pretty.” Who knew a year later I would hit pan and use it every day? Not me! This highlighter is absolutely stunning and blinding, but it doesn’t have to be if you don’t want it to be. It is very powdery though—make sure you do your makeup BEFORE you get dressed, or else you’ll be covered in gold powder. ($10)
8. Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in shade “Fair” : This is another product that I’ve only used once but one time was enough to make a proper judgement. Although I kinda hate the applicator, the product inside is worth the purchase. The concealer is beautiful and medium coverage and works super well with the Fit Me powder. I recommend this product so much! ($9)
9. Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer in shade “Porcelain” : THIS CONCEALER IS A GIFT FROM GOD. Talk about full-coverage, this concealer will cover up anything you don’t want. It blends out beautifully and works well with the Fit Me powder. However, talk about terrible shade ranges: this product has THE WORST shade range I’ve ever seen. From what I’ve seen, they have white, whiter, and whitest. Literally 3 shades. That’s it. That is absolutely unacceptable. I actually have started to try to branch out to newer concealers because I don’t want to support a brand (Catrice) that puts no effort into making products for people of color. However, I couldn’t not put it in this post because it really is a beautiful product. If shade ranges aren’t a priority to you and you are one of the lucky 3, I do recommend the formula of this product. ($6)
10. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer : This product has changed my life! Not only does it make your skin look super beautiful and bronzed, but it is soft to the touch and smells AMAZING. I know when compared to the prices of other drugstore bronzers this product is relatively expensive but it is worth every penny. It works for so many skin tones (from light - medium) but it unfortunately wouldn’t work for those in the deep or rich category. However, if you can use it, you should use it! ($15)
11. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in shade “Nude” : This foundation was the first luxury product that I purchased with my own hard earned money and it truly changed my life. It’s marketed towards dry-combo skin, but I have both oily and dry patches and this foundation makes me feel so beautiful and my skin feel hydrated but also covered. If you are looking for a BOMB foundation to splurge on this is the one for you. However, there are alternate cheaper options, and don’t feel like you NEED to buy it. ($39)
12. Ulta Beauty Face Primer : This primer is my favorite one I’ve ever tried. It is straight silicon so if you’re skin is sensitive/ you have an allergy I would stay away from this product. However, if you don’t have any sensitivities or allergies, this product works wonders mattifying without drying, blurring without causing acne, and allowing the skin to have a beautiful and soft appearance and touch. It is a great product, but it’s almost never in stock in stores, so make sure to get your hands on it if you see it! ($18)

[ UYU REVIEW ] 🎃 THE FACE SHOP HALLOWEEN ITEMS from BB COSMETIC use code 'BBUYURO' for 8% off at bb cosmetic!! ✨
Halloween isn’t a huge thing in New Zealand, but even I feel a bit more spooky once October 1st rolls around… To fit the festive mood for this month, I’m going to be reviewing some Halloween themed items from The Face Shop today!
The Face Shop is a pretty popular roadshop brand so I’m sure you’ve heard of them before! They’re known for cult classic products like their Rice Water cleansing range, as well as more trendy products like their recent collaborations with Kakao Friends (some of which I’ll be reviewing today!).
If you haven’t read my previous reviews with BB Cosmetic, I’ll be happy to tell you about them! They’re a relatively new Korean beauty store compared to some of the big favourites like Roseroseshop, but they have a pretty big variety of products and they keep pretty up-to-date with the latest releases. Another bonus with BB Cosmetic is that they offer free shipping worldwide, plus if you’re in the US, they use a USPS shipping partner so your order will come super quick. Prices do vary of course, but their prices are competitive and in line with other free shipping stores like Jolse.
Personally, I love BB Cosmetic and even though they do send me products to review, I also shop there often! Living in New Zealand, my orders typically take around 2 to arrive with standard shipping – the one time that I thought my package was lost, their customer service was super nice and in the end my package ended up coming super late anyway. They frequently have events on their social media, so I’d suggest following them to keep up to date with those!
So today, I’m going to reviewing 3 sets of Halloween-themed items from The Face Shop: Pumpkin Hand Creams, the Pumpkin Lip Balms and the Kakao Friends Water Tints.
Disclaimer: These items were sent to me for review and consideration by BB Cosmetic. I am not being compensated for this review and opinions are always 100% honest.
REVIEW: THE FACE SHOP HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN HAND CREAM
First up are the Pumpkin Hand Creams and Lip Balms! As well as the hand creams and lip balms that I’m reviewing today, The Face Shop also released a hand soap (link on BB Cos). All the lil pumpkins together look super cute, and the different products have different faces too 🎃
Even the boxes are festive! In the pictures, the hand creams are the large pumpkins and the lip balms are the smaller pumpkins. The packaging is very good quality and they twist open and close nicely, plus they all have a cute face. 😊
Here are the features of the product, according to The Face Shop’s website and BB Cosmetic:
Soft, light hand cream
Sweet-scented like Halloween desserts
The hand creams come in two different scents, unfortunately, neither of which is pumpkin-scented. The first scent is Vanilla Chiffon, described as a sweet, floral, musk scent, and the second scent is Bubble Candy, described as an apple, fruity, floral scent.
Vanilla Chiffon smells like a clean, fresh, vanilla scent as the name would suggest. Bubble Candy has a very artificial candy smell. Out of the two, I would definitely recommend Vanilla Chiffon.
The cream itself is really nice, surprisingly. It definitely moisturises and soothes dry hands, and isn’t too sticky. The smell doesn’t linger either.
Pricing / Where to find
BB Cosmetic: $6.88 (free shipping worldwide) Beauty Box Korea: $6.58 (shipping by weight) The Face Shop Korea: ₩6,500 / $5.75 (flat rate shipping, Korea only)
Out of these options, BB Cosmetic seems to be the cheapest since their prices already include worldwide shipping.
Ingredients
For the full ingredients list, please view over on cosDNA!
The hand cream contains some nice moisturising ingredients like shea butter, which is 2nd in the list, glycerol and squalene. The only potential irriant is denatured alcohol.
RATING: THE FACE SHOP HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN HAND CREAM, 4.5 / 5
Overall, these aren’t a must-have hand cream. To be honest though, no one was really buying these for the hand cream, just to have a cute pumpkin to sit on your desk and fill you with Halloween spirit through October. If you’re looking for something like that, this would be great. The packaging is actually very well made and it closes securely – unlike some other novelty hand creams I’ve had that never properly twisted shut ☹.
As a hand cream though, they work pretty well too. The texture is on the lighter side so it sinks into your hand quickly – I hate super thick hand creams because you have to wait a while before you can actually touch other things. However, it still does a good job with moisturising your hands, and honestly, my hands felt so soft after I used them. Vanilla Chiffon is slightly thicker in texture than Bubble Candy.
While I do like the scent of Vanilla Chiffon, it’s a classic vanilla scent, the smell of Bubble Candy is my only real downside for this product. It might smell different for other people but for me, it just smells super artificial, although the good thing is that the scent doesn’t linger for too long.
💖 Pros: Cute packaging, quality packaging, light cream that sinks into your hands easily, gives you super soft hands 💔 Cons: Bubble Candy smells very artificial
REVIEW: THE FACE SHOP HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN LIP BALM
Next up we have the lip balms, the small pumpkins in the first picture.
Here are the features, according to The Face Shop and BB Cosmetic:
Moisturises your lips
Absorbs easily like melted cream
Contains pumpkin extract (100ppm)
There are three colours in the range, and I have two of them: 01 Pure Moisture, basically just a clear lip balm, and 03 Maple Pink, a light pink balm. The other colour that I don’t have, 02 Pumpkin Orange, is a light orange balm.
I did some swatches on my arm – 01 Pure Moisture is very hard to see, obviously because it’s clear, so I hope you can make out where the glossy shine is, haha.
The colours looks basically identical on my lips, haha.
Pricing / Where to find
BB Cosmetic: $5.99 (free shipping worldwide) Beauty Box Korea: $6.84 (shipping by weight) Korea Depart: $5.31 (shipping by weight) The Face Shop Korea: ₩7,000 / $6.20 (flat rate shipping, Korea only)
Again, BB Cosmetic is the cheapest option if this was the only thing you wanted to buy since the other sites have shipping by weight which is super expensive if you're not buying a lot.
Ingredients
For the full ingredient list, please view over on cosDNA!
The ingredient list is pretty typical for a lip balm. There is Titanium dioxide, which helps protect your lips from UV rays. There’s also a ton of emollients.
RATING: THE FACE SHOP HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN LIP BALM, 3 / 5
Again, this is a pretty basic lip balm. It's not amazing but it keeps my lips moisturised. My point stands from the last review that you probably aren't buying this for the balm, you just want the packaging, right?! The packaging of the lip balm is just as well made as the hand cream, just in a smaller size.
This definitely isn't as moisturising as Carmex or anything like that, but it's on the thicker side of lip balms. It still abosrbs nicely though! They have a very light scent that I can't quite make out the notes of.
The only real downside to these is the format. Personally, I really don't like pot-type lip balms where you have to dip your finger in to apply it. I just hate the feeling of lip balm on my fingers afterwards and it's just a bit messier than a stick format would be.
💖 Pros: Cute packaging!, moisturising 💔 Cons: Coloured balms barely have any colour, pot format
REVIEW: THE FACE SHOP X KAKAO FRIENDS HALLOWEEN WATERY TINT
The Face Shop has had a long-running collaboration with Kakao Friends, and these lip tints are part of their Halloween collection from last year. There are three colours in this collection of lip tints and here are the features:
Vivid colour effect
Long lasting
Water-gel type
The packaging features some cute artwork for the Kakao Friends in their Halloween costumes. Apeach and Muzi are both wizards and Ryan is Harry Potter.
They all have a doe foot applicator which is pretty easy to use.
From left to right, these are 08 Bloody Red, 09 Maple Orange and 07 Pumpkin Orange. On the left, I had them freshly applied and the right is after dabbing off excess.
I also want to say that these swatches were extremely hard to remove - I had to exfoliate in the shower to get the rest off after trying to use a eye makeup remover - so the lasting power promise is real 💦
Ryan is 07 Pumpkin Orange, which is a bright orange colour and tends a little coral on my lips. It has a nice watery-gel consistency and was easy to deal with in general but a little hard to blend because it dried down quite fast.
Here are some other tints from my collection with a similar colour. In the middle is the Innisfree Eco Flower Tint in Calendula and on the right is Peripera's Peri's Ink in #4 Oh My!
The Face Shop's tint has similar lasting power to the Peri's Ink, if not actually a bit better.
Muzi is 08 Bloody Red, which is a softer blue-toned red. The consistency is a bit lighter than the other two tints, and you can kinda tell because it took a bit longer to try and thus was blended out way better. It’s also not as deeply pigmented as the other two are.
However, you can find this kind of tint in any brand for much cheaper.
On the left we have Etude House's Dear Darling Water Gel Tint in RD306 (Shark Red) and Peripera's Peri's Ink Velvet in #9 Love Sniper Red.
The Face Shop and the Etude House tints are pretty similar, with Etude House being a tad more purple than red. The consistencies are pretty similar though, and similar lasting power as well. The Peripera tint turned out a bit more different than I expected at first haha, it's a lot more pigmented than both.
Last up, we have Apeach with 09 Maple Orange. While the consistency was the same as the Ryan tint, for some reason, this one did not want to stay on my upper lip even the tiniest bit. It's a shame, because the colour is really pretty.
The only similar colour I had to this one was the Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint in RD307 (Watermelon Red). The tones are quite similar, but obviously The Face Shop tint is much brighter and pigmented.
Piricing / Where to find
I can't seem to find these on other stores apart from BB Cosmetic, but these are currently on sale at BB Cosmetic for $4.88 each or in a set for $11.65.
RATING: THE FACE SHOP X KAKAO FRIENDS HALLOWEEN WATERY TINT
07 Pumpkin Orange: 4.5 / 5
If I was picking on colour preference alone, this one would be my favourite. I love orange lip tints and they look great on darker hair. I loved how lasting this tint was, it was still mostly intact after eating some greasy food.
My only complaint is that it dries quickly and is hard to blend out properly to get a nice gradient lip.
08 Bloody Red: 3.5 / 5
This tint was the easiest to use overall, however, I'm not a huge fan of the colour. I think it's a very common type of tint and even though these tints are cheap, you can find basic tints at Etude House or Tonymoly for half the price still. Nonetheless, it is a good tint for beginners. The problem with this one is that it didn't last as long as the other two.
09 Maple Orange: 3 / 5
I would've liked this colour so much if it wasn't for the patchy application. Even though it has great lasting power and is a pretty colour, the patchiness is such a turn-off. It also tends to wear away from the inside of my lip first, and my lips end up looking a mess.
In general, I liked the applicators as they were easy to use, and the packaging is super cute of course! They all have a similar sweet, fruit scent which is not noticeable once applied.
Overall, these aren't the best lip tints. The formula between the colours was hit and miss and the colours are run-of-the-mill, despite being a Halloween collection (I need Korean brands to release a brown lip tint pls). If you love Kakao Friends then these are cute, but I'd definitely recommend Pumpkin Orange the most, and maybe skip the other two.
💖 Pros: Very long lasting, pigmented colours, cute packaging. 💔 Cons: Inconsistent formula, some have patchy application.
Thank you for reading my review today!! Here are the featured items again, if you wanted to check them out:

My current makeup routine
I love no makeup makeup or natural makeup. Ever since I started my crazy and obsessive skincare process, I felt the need to wear less and less makeup. However, I still love wearing makeup so I hoard makeup despite never really wearing it.
1. Morning Skincare Routine- gotta have a good base and hydrated skin so the makeup won’t look patchy 2. Concealer(what ever works and closest to my skin color)- I only wear bb cream when my hormonal acne acts up or if I have sometime important that day and I need to look professional/somewhat decent. Most days I prefer to just use concealer to hide a pimple and my hyperpigmentation/dark spots. 3. Color correcting powder (stila)- evens out my skin tone in my opinion. Gives a natural glow to the skin. 4. No sebum loose powder (innisfree)- i usually don’t do this step in the winter bc I have dry skin but my t-zone gets super oily in the spring/summer so I use this on my tzone, side of my nose, and around my hairline . I love this bc it feels minty fresh on my face. 5. Eyeshadow- i usually do 1-2 color eyeshadow. Nothing fancy or artistic and sometimes I just use one. lately I’ve been using a light orange shade which shows up subtly on my tanned skin. Then I add a pop of shimmer/glitter to the center of my eyelids to give it some life and dimension. 6. Blush- mg gudetama one! It looks natural and subtle. It’s so pretty and if I mess up, you can barely notice it bc the cushion helps apply a thin layer 7. Lips- my favorite and most important step. I always wear lipstick whenever I go out. I might not always do step 2-5 but I always do step 7. I’ve transitioned out of my dark lipsticks and into more bright colored ones. Or so I should but I’ve been into MLBBs lately (my lips but better) for that natural lip color. And let’s be honest, fushia, magenta, and red orange are not natural lip colors (i still love them tho). I hate nude lips on me so I’ll never wear a nude lip. I feel like it washes me out and I don’t feel good in a nude lip. I need bright colors!.
If I need to be more professional looking, I might apply a highlighter, contour, and eyeliner.

VDL: Lumilayer Primer Review ♡
This product was sent to me by bbcosmetic for review purposes but opinions are 100% honest and my own.
Helloo everybody! So bbcosmetic were kind enough to let me pick some items to review and one of the things I picked was this primer. I’ve known about it ever since it came out but to be honest I don’t like to use primer much, mainly because I’m lazy and I feel like I can skip it seeing as I don’t like to wear heavy base makeup anyway. So when I saw this as one of the options I decided to give it a go.
If you haven’t heard of bbcosmetic before, they’re an online store that sells a range of kbeauty products including 3CE! (which is where I bought the lilymaymac lipsticks from). They offer free shipping worldwide; you don’t need to buy a minimum amount (yay!) and they also hold a lot of events such as: SNS Review & 10% Store Credit, and lots of instagram giveaways.
They sell products at pretty affordable prices so do check them out! You can use my coupon code MelissaBBcos to get 8% off any purchase :D
Okay, that’s enough of my spiel - on to the review!
Brand: VDL Name: Lumilayer Primer Net Weight: 30ml
This is a primer with Violet Lumilayer Pigment that specially reflects red and blue light, which brightens up the skin and makes the skin clear and transparent. That way, it naturally contours the face because the reflections will sculpt the face.
As it says on the box, Violet Lumilayer Technology creates bright shades of colours but layering different shades of lights. It should give a natural glow to the face so when you add your base makeup on, it further illuminates the face and highlights features, while maintaining its illuminance all day.
The product comes in a white glass bottle that actually looks quite high class and luxurious. Because it’s made of glass, it’s quite heavy but not something that I have complaints about. I thought the applicator was quite funny when I first took it out (without realising I’m supposed to take the cap off).
So there is actually a pump and I felt like an idiot when I realised LOL. Very hygienic and handy.
You can mix this with your foundation, apply to your whole face or certain areas of your face. It’s up to how you like and want it.
I really enjoyed this primer! The consistency is super lightweight and easy to blend. When you see the shimmers, it looks quite daunting but it’s actually not obvious at all. Instead, it creates a really natural iridescent glow to your face. The photo above is the primer with my Etude House Precious Mineral Moist BB Cream (review). In that review you can see how the bbcream looks on with a different base compared to the VDL primer. Also, as you can see, my cheekbones are naturally highlighted and my skin looks glowy.
On its own, I didn’t see any contouring effects with the light reflections or anything but I didn’t mind that too much.
So because I have combination skin, I was worried it would make my face look quite oily especially seeing as it’s summer so my face likes to sweat. It did make me look a bit like a disco ball after I got home from work because I applied it on my whole face so for me personally, I think I would just apply this everywhere apart from my T-zone where I get the most oily. I do like the highlight effect it gives on my cheeks.
▷ My recommendation on this is: I would definitely recommend this to people with dry skin types for all seasons, people with oily skin types for autumn/winter, & combo skin for autumn/winter full face or spring/summer excluding T-zone.
♔ Lightweight ♔ Easy to blend ♔ Creates a natural glow ♔ Hygienic packaging ♔ Naturally highlights cheekbones
✖︎ Heavy packaging (not so friendly for travel) ✖︎ Not necessarily suited for every skin type
Overall I’m very pleased with this primer. If you’re wanting the Korean natural dewy skin look, this is the perfect primer for that. It’s a bit of a pricey primer but you do get 30ml and a little goes a long way. Don’t forget to check out bbcosmetic and you can use my code MelissaBBcos to get 8% off any purchase :)
Hope you liked the review even though I didn’t purchase this product myself. Thank you to bbcosmetic again for being so kind and sending me this to try.
Until next time,

Splish Splash: Influenster VoxBox Review
It’s Influenster Splash VoxBox review time! {If you want to learn more and sign up to be an Influenster aka get awesome products to try and review FOR FREE, head over here!}
Nature’s Origin™ Lavender Roll-On - I haven’t really gotten on the essential oil train, but I was excited to try this roll-on version! It smells really soothing and the applicator is awesome; it is very easy to use without wasting a lot of product and making a huge mess. I’ve been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately and I like to keep this in my nightstand and apply some to my pillows and temples. It makes me feel pretty relaxed and calm!
Tree Hut Exfoliating Mud Mask Detoxifying Charcoal - I LOVED trying this mask. It was super easy to apply, wasn’t too harsh and left my skin feeling really smooth and detoxed. I have also tried it as an acne spot treatment and it gets another thumbs up. I will definitely be looking to purchase when I'm done with this generous sample size!
Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink™ Liquid Lipstick in #15 Lover - Y’all know I can't get enough dusty rose/mauve pinks (#shocking). The color is beautiful and the staying power on this formula is INSANE. It stays on through drinking, eating, sweating and sometimes even showering. The one thing that kept me from giving it a full five stars was the sticky feeling. It definitely doesn't dry down super matte like other liquid lips. This is more of a thicker gloss texture. It makes my lips pretty sticky, but the color doesn't budge so I still reach for it!
Sidenote: I’ve found that my go-to, waterproof makeup for the pool, beach or boat (cause sometimes you just need a little somethin, somethin!) this year has been: Maybeline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara, Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel, NYX BB Cream and this Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink™ Liquid Lipstick in #15 Lover!
Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo - Ya girl B washes her hair about twice a week so I am totally #TeamDryShampoo. I’ve tried other Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak scents and really like the formula and result. This Tapioca kind in Warm Sugar also didn’t disappoint! It leaves my hair feeling refreshed and ready to restyle. This scent is a little fall/winter to me, but smells really good! (I’m not a) Pro Tip: Spray and work into hair the night before so it really has time to soak in!
SinfulColors #PRIDE Collection in Mani Per Money - TBH, I am pretty #basic and don’t really do my own nails. I am very, very impatient and I find that they last way longer if I get them done professionally. I go about every four weeks and enjoy some treat yoself and relaxation time. (If you live in the Triangle area, Unique Nail in Brier Creek is my fave spot! I get a gel manicure and regular pedicure for only $50! Just don’t take my guy David if I’m there too.) Since I won’t likely use this polish, I will share it with a friend who will! I have used Sinful Colors polish in the past and think it’s a really great product for the price (typically just a few dollars at the drugstore). I also love the message behind the #PRIDE collection and support love, support and equality for all!
MIKE AND IKE® SOUR-LICIOUS ZOURS® - Full disclosure, sour definitely isn’t personal preference when it comes to candy. Chrissy and I took these to the beach to try and collectively thought the taste was reminiscent of Jolly Ranchers. I didn't really care for the texture of this candy, it was superrr gummy. I expected it to have a harder shell/coating like other Mike and Ike products I've tried. Out of all the flavors, I thought the Watermelon and Blue Raspberry were the best; the Cherry tasted like cough syrup to me!
Thank you to Influenster and all the cool brands that participated! As mentioned, I received all of these items complimentary and promise my opinions are all my honest own!

The Best All-Natural Foundations [For Every Skin Type]
New Post has been published on http://healingawerness.com/news/the-best-all-natural-foundations-for-every-skin-type/
The Best All-Natural Foundations [For Every Skin Type]
Want to know what makes me totally giddy? Clean beauty. You know what makes me even giddier? Natural foundations…that work! Lately, I’ve been talking a lot about clean beauty including: clean beauty essentials, the best skincare from Whole Foods and even alternatives to Beautycounter. Better yet, if you follow my YouTube channel you know that I run something called the Clean Beauty 5×5 where I review natural makeup products in every category for 5 days in a row. My goal with this is to test things out for you so that you don’t have to waste time and money on products that don’t work, because let’s be real, not all of them do.
However, I’ve also had requests from you guys to see blog posts on clean makeup for those of you who don’t necessarily have the time to watch videos. You want the best product recommendation for YOU and while I’d like to believe I’m mildly entertaining on video, you’re not that into the fluff in between. Don’t worry – not offended! So based off my own experience, I’m sharing my best tips for switching your makeup products, where to start and which products actually work.
First up: foundations. Why does it matter if you use a natural/clean/green foundation vs. a conventional one? How about coverage? From light to full-coverage foundation I’m breaking down the best of the best from the 20+ I’ve tried.
Why Switch to a Natural Foundation?
What you put on your skin matters. Period. So many of us care about what we are putting into our bodies but we don’t think twice about what we’re putting on our skin. Our skin is the largest organ in/on our body and is absorbing the chemicals and compounds in the products we put on it! Foundation is a great place to start switching over your makeup bag because out of all the makeup you put on, foundation covers the most ground.
If you’re nervous about switching, search these brands to see if they offer sample sizes or see if there are any clean beauty stores near you that offer samples. If you’re in SF, I love Credo Beauty but Sephora has also started selling some of these brands!
The Best Lightweight Foundation
Kosas Tinted Face Oil $42
It’s hard to beat this lightweight natural foundation. The ingredients are stellar and it barely feels like you’re wearing anything. I unfortunately bought a shade too light so I wear it in the winter when I’m super pale or add a sprinkle of the Ann Marie Mineral Foundation (below) to the product to make it darker. If you like a nourishing oil with just there coverage this product will become a favorite.
Ann Marie Gianni Mineral Foundation $30 (I recommend starting with the $20 sample pack to match correctly!)
This foundation is super light coverage but buildable. I LOVE this foundation for no-makeup makeup days. It wears like a bb cream or tinted moisturizer. You mix the mineral powder to a face oil or a moisturizer you already use so it’s basically skin care meets natural beauty. If you are looking for something that is nourishing for your skin but also provides a little coverage, this is for you.
The Best Medium Coverage Foundation
Vapour Soft Atmosphere Foundation $54
If you love a glowy look for your foundation and are looking for light to medium coverage, this is your girl. In my experience, you HAVE to use a primer with this. The formula feels very slippery so a primer gives it something to grip to on your face. The ingredients are stellar in this foundation too.
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Youth Compact Foundation $45
I love the consistency and the formula of this foundation. It’s long-lasting and has a nice glow to it. My only complaint is the packing which is pretty bulky and hard to tell if the product is finished or not. Wish they’d make this in a pump or dropped bottle!
The Best Full Coverage Foundation
Gressa Corrective Serum Foundation $62
If you have already heard me go on about this, sorry not sorry. This is my holy grail full coverage foundation. It lasts SO long and the ingredient list is awesome. When I was struggling with acne, this was my go to. It flawlessly covers any/all blemishes and scarring. It is on the pricey side but in my opinion, 100% worth the investment. It was honestly life changing for me. If you struggle with blemishes and are self conscious about your skin or just want a gorgeous full coverage foundation that will last all damn day, get this! You won’t regret it.
Natural Foundations I Didn’t Love
I figured I’d share some of the products I really didn’t like. Of course this is my personal opinion and everyone’s experience is different but I tend to trust personal recommendations when it comes to makeup products.
Beautycounter Dew Skin – I found this to be more of a BB cream than a foundation. They advertise it as being buildable but I’d like the first application to apply more than a tinted moisturizer.
Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation – honestly one of the worst foundations I’ve tried and also the most expensive. Apparently it works better with oily skin and/or applied directly after a facial oil but for the price I’d expect this to look like liquid gold on my face.
ILIA True Serum Foundation – if you watch the video you know that I had a pretty positive reaction to this foundation on first try and while I truly do like the consistency and the coverage, I found it made me break out. I’m super sensitive to dimethicone (a silicone) and it almost always makes me break out so I’ve since retired this one. Wish I didn’t have to!
Any powder foundations – there are tons of powder foundations out there and I’ve to find one I like. This is probably just a personal preference but I know you guys will ask about pressed powder and that’s why there aren’t any included.
* * * * *
Want to see me put these products to the test? I tried five foundations out and gave my full review and honest opinion of each. See how I applied them and how they held up throughout the day.

How I Create a “Flawless” Complexion
Everyone wants an even glowy complexion. I mean, who doesn’t want smooth clear skin? We all seek it and while skin care is the foundation of getting that healthy glowing complexion (aside from a healthy diet, hydration, and well… genetics) we have to take the steps to help our skin look and feel the best it can. And sometimes while it’s on the mend, we just have to create the illusion for better flawless skin. Or even quite simply, we may have pretty nice skin we are happy with but we want that extra little something to just make you look lively and radiant and just healthy.
Of course I always have a crazy skin care routine and we should make sure we are taking those steps to help our skin stay healthy and hydrated, etc. but on some days, like the weekends or if I’m just feeling it, I like to go the extra step and add that somethin’ somethin’ to make me look really put together and give me that oomph.
Now, if your a girl reading this, chances are you already know and you got this down and mastered. But, if your a guy reading this, don’t be scared, don’t be shy, and don’t let your ego cloud your vision and skin happiness. But getting to the point, I like to add some complexion correcting products to my routine. Now, we aren’t talking anything crazy here, we aren’t doing some full face of foundation and concealer and all that. That’s not my scene, that’s not something I do or feel that comfortable doing (however, we may be using foundation). I think men in makeup are amazing and are free to do so, it’s just not for me personally. But anyway, what I mean is that we are going sheer and minimal to give our skin that even complexion, cover up any redness, little acne scars or those little pimples trying to make themselves known.
I like to use things like BB/CC creams or light-weight foundations, and additionally I do like to touch up my eyebrows as well. But without further ado, let’s jump into this.
Step one is your skin care routine, add that moisturizer and don’t forget that sunscreen. Let that sink in and dry down and I move onto my next steps.
Next is a little step that is optional, I don’t always do it, but that is primer. Primer is something that is used before makeup and typically gets the rep that you can only use it that way but there are multiple primers that can be used for the sole purpose of just smoothing your skin and filling in pores.
The ones I have currently are the Milk Makeup Blur Stick which to be quite honest I’ve only used a handful of times and I’m not too sure what it’s doing for me. I do notice that my skin feels smooth after applying but I don’t notice a crazy difference in my pores.
The other I’ve been using because I got a sample at Sephora is the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Primer. This one I notice more than with the stick. It adds an evenness over the skin and just smooths it out. I plan to purchase the full size of this.
Next is our complexion correction step. This is going to be all up to your preference and your comfortability. Girls, I know you likely know what’s up. Guys, some may already wear makeup and be fully confident while others are still taking baby steps. I know when I first started dabbling in the idea of using it I was really awkward and shy about it and sometimes still am depending on my environment.
So, the idea here is to have a no-makeup look. You want people to look at you and think “wow they have really nice glowy skin.,” without it looking like you’re actually really wearing anything. Don’t be afraid to reach for CC/BB creams, your confidence is more important than your pride.
My favorites cover-up products are
Dew Skin from Beautycounter - this is a tinted moisturizer with SPF. It comes in 5 shades; I’m shade No.2. This is pretty thick and can lean on the more “oily” side. It definitely gives you that dewy skin look, which I like, at least from this product. I like that it helps even my complexion but also has SPF. In my opinion though, I wouldn’t use it for the purpose of both a moisturizer and an SPF. I would still use a moisturizer and even separate SPF (sometimes I don’t use another SPF though). If you have very oily skin or don’t like the dewy look, I would say this isn’t for you. Or you can use powder to take down the dewy finish because it’s still a great product.
Tint Skin from Beautycounter - This is their foundation. It is a light to medium coverage. I like this a lot. For me it blends in nicely and it matches my skin tone almost perfectly. I’m the shade Sand. What I like is that it’s a clean brand and it’s much thinner than the Dew Skin. The way I apply this is I put a very small amount on my fingertips or put small drops on my face. I literally use the size of a pea or I put a dot on my forehead and cheeks. The I just rub it in. I use such a small amount that you can’t even tell I have anything on. The amount I use will allow the foundation to last me for so long. This has a nice amount of coverage for making the skin look natural. It leaves a nice finish on the skin; it’s radiant but not too dewy or oily looking.
Skin Tint from Glossier - With this I do the exact same as the Tint Skin from Beautycounter. Although this is a bit more sheer so I add a little more and I tend to add this one directly to the face. My shade in this is G9. This is very light-weight and feels like nothing on the skin. It’s perfect for this kind of look and for someone looking to dip their toe into something to even out their complexion (or makeup). It’s pretty hard to mess up applying this because it’s so sheer.
Maybelline Dream BB cream - I actually started with this one when I first started dabbling in stuff like this and it’s inexpensive and is pretty good for this look. Again, I’m a hands as tools kind of person for this and apply it the same as above. Just put a few dabs on and just rub it over the skin gently. There isn’t really a shade range for this but I am the light/medium shade. The one cool thing about this is that there are 2 kinds, which are; one with pomegranate extract to add radiance, and another with salicylic acid to help keep the skin clear and to keep it non-comodogenic while wearing it if you have more oily skin.
After this, all steps are optional and just extra steps to add more to the look.
Those steps are some concealer, if need be. Sometimes you just need some concealer for those annoying dark circles after lack of sleep or to cover up a pimple peaking through.
The ones I currently use are:
Glossier Stretch Concealer - My exact shade match is G10. It matches my skin tone exactly. I use my ring finger to just take some from the far and gently tap in under my eyes, if I’m feeling like I want to take that extra step. I like that they have so many shades in this and I found my exact shade to my skin tone. It applies very nicely and evenly. My only complaint is that I wish it was in an easier application component, but I don’t mind too much that I have to use my finger.
Beautycounter Touch-up Concealer - The shade I use in this is Light. This is definitely lighter than my skin tone but when you blend it out looks okay. Some people like a lighter shade anyway to help brighten the under eye. This is a thicker formula than the Glossier concealer. It almost has a somewhat similar texture to the Dew Skin but a tad thinner. I don’t mind this concealer'; I think I like the Glossier more though. But, I know the concealer is a favorite for many. It is convenient for an on-the-go touch-up concealer.
And then another product I have that I purchased during the Sephora VIB sale, for the summer, is the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-pollution Sunshine Drops. ~ These drops are extremely pigmented. A little goes A LONG WAY! But they give you that bronzed radiant look like you’ve been on vacation in Maui and your skin just looks super healthy and glowy. When I saw a little goes a long way I seriously mean it. You need the tiniest drop. Like smaller than a pea to be honest. The way I use it is by putting that drop on my finger tip and then dabbing it in specific areas like the top of the forehead, the bridge of my nose and the top of the cheek bones. and along the temples. Then I blend it in with my fingers. The other way you can use this is mix it with your moisturizer/sunscreen.
And lastly, my eyebrows. I have decent eyebrows and I groom them when needed. I pluck and also use little eyebrow razors to shape them. But I like to fill in the sparser areas of my brows and just make them a little more pronounced and neat. Here are my favorite brow products. I am going to make a post about brow products that I use and go into more detail about each.

can you review the glossier products you have? i bought the cleanser and balm dotcom a while back and i really like them + looking for some new products to try next !!
oh boy oh boy!! do i have WORDS !!!!!!! im EXCITE okay okay here we go!!!
i’m putting it under a cut since it’s kinda long ;; so sorry to mobile users who have to see this entire ESSAY i have on glossier (ok it’s not rly an essay but it’s still long aaa) + hope this helps :”)
my skin type: dry, sensitive (like,,, Super Sensitive)
also a disclaimer: glossier sent me some products for a pr thing but then ?? they went radio silent on me so idk if i was supposed to promote them or not, so i didn’t. anyhow!! these are still 100% my honest opinions. now, to talk about every glossier product i own:
milky jelly cleanser: love this binch, hella nice, hella smooth, leaves my skin feeling conditioned and soft which i’ve only experienced with one other cleanser (cetaphil)
balm dot com: i have it in rose, birthday, mint, and coconut, and listen!! i love every one!! i hate coconut stuff but i still like this one!! applicable to nearly any dry spot on the skin, soothes my chapped lips, cute packaging, good scent, love it (chef kiss, mwah)
boy brow in black: heLLO my LOVE !! listen, i’ve got pretty dark brows but this baby ELEVATES my brows to a godly level. it’s a gel that helps me smooth my brow hairs into place and i can comb them down a lil bit with the little spoolie brush thing. however, bc my brows are so dark already, i have to make sure to not use too much product ;;
priming moisturizer: eh, this isn’t anything special. it doesn’t have spf and it’s pretty thin ? i use it for makeup primer bc it is decently okay-ish at that. it’s also unscented which is good. maybe it’s just me and my dumb habit of squishing make-up tubes real hard, but i find it hard to control the amount of product that comes out. would i buy again? nah.
priming moisturizer rich: well, it’s definitely thicker and more moisturizing than the regular one. however, it’s scented and heavier, so i’m rly scared to put it on my sensitive face ;; it’s also in a tub and idk how sanitary that is. i’ve been using it as a hand cream though, and my hands are super soft :)
glossier solution: hands down the most disappointing purchase i’ve ever made at glossier. it didn’t work, and it felt like it didn’t rly suit my skin type. i didn’t rly notice any changes other than the fact that it kinda ??? dried out my skin even more? maybe folks with oily skin might prefer this more, but idk,,,,,, i have more than 80% of the bottle and idk what to do with it.
skin tint in medium: it’s. sheer. like, rly sheer. i like it bc it evens out my skin’s redness which is a major issue that i have with it, but i honestly don’t think that it’s worth the money or the effort. even ppl who want sheer coverage might wanna look at a different bb cream than this.
stretch concealer in medium: i rly like this one! it’s smooth and creamy and easily blends it. i just dab it on my dark circles, set with powder, and then sprint off to wherever i have to go. idk how it compares to other concealers though bc i just haven’t used that many ;;
cloud paint in beam: im…. just…. not…. a blush girl….. idk, maybe it’s my constant skin redness, but im never satisfied with the way blush looks on my face. bc of that, i just haven’t experimented or used enough of this blush to rly have a solid opinion on it. it’s hard to control product portioning though ;; a little bit goes a long way, but a large glob always pops out :(
lash slick: i was surprised to see that this mascara rly works in making your lashes longer!! it also comes off more easily than other mascaras. however, it’s a very natural look and it doesn’t rly give your lashes more volume compared to others. i still rly like it tho + when i wanna give my lashes some more OOMPH, i combine it with one of maybelline’s volume mascaras to give them both length and volume. (such a pain to take off though… i hate taking off mascara)
glossier you: i received this as a sample tube, but it’s rly quite nice! i enjoy the smell and at first, it has this warm scent, but after it stays on for a while and/or if i start to sweat, it turns into this amazing vanilla scent. i’d like to buy more, but i cannot afford the $60 perfume :( i might get the travel solid version tho
things i would like to get but haven’t tried yet: glossier you travel solid perfume, lip gloss, masks, haloscope, wowder
things i’m not interested in: serums, lidstar, body hero, other shades of cloud paint

UYU REVIEW: YADAH products from BB COSMETIC! 💗 use my code ‘bbuyuro’ for 8% off at bb cosmetic! ✨
Hello again everyone! This has been a very busy few months for me. I've spent the last two weeks basically breaking down because I had a killer exam that was worth 40% and recovering from flu I'm still very uneasy about how I did but it's Easter now and I'd like to relax and have a break~ I hope you’ve all been well.
Yadah is not one of the more popular brands, but I have seen them popping up more recently. Their mascot is a really cute girl with red hair and she kinda reminds me of a pumpkin. They have a decent mix of skincare and make-up products, and they did a collab with the Korean fashion site Sonyunara recently! If you go to their Korean website, it has a really cute design and theme, I linked it below and I’d recommend visiting just to see the illustrations. Since I haven't seen many other people talking about this brand, I hope it'll be interesting for you guys to discover a new k-beauty brand!
BB Cosmetic is a relatively new Korean beauty store, and they stock a lot of the more popular Korean brands + they ship worldwide for free! 💗 Their prices are really affordable and competitive with some of my other faves with free shipping like Jolse and Beautynetkorea, as well as eBay stores. Don’t forget, you can use my discount code ’BBUYURO’ for 8% off.
I personally love BB Cosmetic and it’s become one of my go-to websites for Korean beauty shopping. While they do provide me products to review, I shop there frequently as well - I’ve provided a mini-review of some other BB Cosmetic products at the bottom, one that was a free gift and one that I purchased personally. I would highly suggest BB Cosmetic if you live in the US because they have USPS shipping which arrives super quick!
Disclaimer: Some items were sent to me for review and consideration by BB Cosmetic. I am not being compensated for this review and opinions are always 100% honest.
✏️ ABOUT THE ITEM: AUTO LIP CRAYON
First things first, I’ll be reviewing the Yadah Auto Lip Crayon. Here are the features:
Creates rich colour with a soft-matte finish
Long-lasting and lightweight
Contains macadamia seed oil that moisturizes and soothes lips
Paraben-free
There are 7 shades available (from L-R in the image): #01 Dazzling Red, #02 Tangerine Orange, #03 Pink Holic, #04 Rose Coral, #05 Cotton Candy, #06 Plum Burgundy, #07 Rose Beige.
Here are the swatches of the colours (in the same order)
Here's a suggestion from Yadah to use two different colours from the range for a two-toned lip! This one combines #06 Plum Burgundy and #07 Rose Beige.
Ingredients
These are taken from Yadah’s Korean website. All the colours are listed, but the ones I pasted are specific for #06 Plum Burgundy:
Diisostearyl malate, Octyldodecanol, Synthetic fluorphlogopite, Capric / Caprylic triglycerides, Polyglyceryl-2-triisostearate, CI 15850, Ozokerite, Candelilla wax, Microcrystalline wax, Dipentaerythrityl hexahydroxystearate / Hexastearate / Hexarosinate, Adeps lanae, Polymethyl methacrylate, Polyethylene, Iron oxide red, Black iron oxide, Avocado oil, Rosa canina fruit oil, Macadamia integrifolia seed oil, Dibutyl hydroxy toluene.
I've bolded the ingredients that they listed as key ingredients, and italics are ones that came up as 'problematic' on cosDNA.
CI 15850, Candelilla wax and avocado oil all came up as slight acne triggers, which I don't think is really a problem as this is a lip product.
CI 15850 is a red pigment and has a safety rating of 1 - 4.
Dibutyl hydroxy toluene is a preservative with a safety rating of 6. If you're not familiar with cosDNA, for the safety rating, the lower numbers are better. However it's still not a 100% perfect indicator as it depends on the concentration of the ingredient and the usage as well.
Pricing
BB Cosmetic: $6.16 (free shipping worldwide)
Koreadepart: $6.51 USD (shipping by weight)
Yadah's official website: 8,000 won / $7.04 USD (within Korea only)
You can see here that BB Cosmetic actually has the cheapest price by far, especially considering that they include free shipping!
As I mentioned before, Yadah isn’t extremely well-known and I wasn’t able to find their products on some other popular k-beauty sites like Jolse and Testerkorea, etc.
📷 PHOTOS + DETAILS: AUTO LIP CRAYON
The packaging is a black triangle box with shiny lettering. The colour I’m going to be reviewing is #06 Plum Burgundy. I like that the twisty part of the tube has the colour of the crayon on it too.
The tube of the lip crayon has the silouhette of the mascot which I think is cute 😊
Here are some swatches that I did on my arm. The left is with just one swipe - I have tried layering it but the colour doesn't build since it's very pigmented already. On the right side, I tried very hard to scrub it off with just a tissue (no remover) and you can see a stain is still left behind.
This means the lasting power is great, but I wouldn't recommend using it before a day that you plan on wearing nude colours, since the stain will most likely still be there.
The colour is very similar to the swatches but it seems a bit more purple rather than red. I'm still very happy with the colour though since I don't have a lot of dark colours!
Here are some lip swatches! In the top picture I attempted a gradient lip, but just one-tone instead of two-toned like in the suggestion image. I think dark colours look really good for the centre of the gradient and I love how this smoothed out at the edges! If you don't like dealing with watery tints but still want a dark colour to do gradient lip with, I would really recommend this one.
I basically never do a full-on layer of lipstick but I thought it would be helpful for this post 😛 Like many lipsticks, it's hard for me to get a smooth line right away and it's noticeable since this is a dark colour. If you plan on wearing full lip colour, I would suggest using a lip liner with this one.
The last picture is just blotted away, and this is what the lip looks like after about 5 hours on me (with eating). It's still noticeable but the colour has worn away a bit. I actually quite like this pink-red stain that is left behind.
Here's a selca while wearing the Auto Lip Crayon~ No make-up so don't judge 😛 I actually really like bold lip colours on no make-up days because it helps take away attention from the other parts of my face.
I found the lip crayon to be very, very comfortable to wear. I found myself not having to wearing lip balm underneath for once since it really is moisturising. The lasting power is quite good, although I do find lipstick-type products a bit annoying since I drink water a lot. It's easy to reapply though so it's not a huge issue.
The Mamonde Creamy Tint is a popular product that I've seen around and I have to say that the Yadah Auto Lip Crayon is a lot more comfortable. In comparison, the Mamonde one is basically not creamy or moisturising at all, in fact it's drier than a lot of lipsticks I own. If you wanted to invest in a lip crayon but you have dry lips, I would highly suggest the Yadah Auto Lip Crayon over the Mamonde Creamy Tint!
✏️ ABOUT THE ITEM: ANTI-T RED ZERO SPOT CREAM
The next Yadah product is the Anti-T Red Zero Spot Cream. It's a spot treatment for acne and comes in handy tube packaging.
Yadah actually has a whole Anti-T trouble care line, all of which feature their cute mascot.
I really wanted to share some drawings from their website because they are so nice! The drawings show the key ingredients of the cream, which you can also see in the ingredients list.
Here are some of the features:
Natural extracts control excessive sebum secretions, improve skin environments, and soothe the troubled area.
Vegetable extracts naturally moisturize the sensitive skin.
Paraben, Benzophenone, Mineral oil, Sulfate, Artificial dyes, Minimal chemical materials free.
Main ingredients: Salicylic acid, Green tea extract, Rosemary extract, Sage extract.
Ingredients
Taken from the Korean Yadah website and analysed with cosDNA.
Aqua, Propanediol, Capric / Caprylic triglycerides, Nicotinamide, Glycerol, Hydrogenated palm kernel oil, Lecithine, Phytosteryl macadamiate, Pentylene glycol, Shea butter, Mangifera indica (mango) seed butter, Camellia japonica (camellia) seed oil, Xantham gum, Camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract, Chamomilla recutita (chamomile) leaf extract, Thujopsis dolabrata (thujopsis) branch extract, Centella asiatica (centella) extract, Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, Sorbitan caprylate, Arginine, Stearyl glycyrrhetinate, Phytosqualane, Magnolia kobus (magnolia) bark extract, Salix alba (willow) bark extract, Lonicera caprifolium (honeysuckle) extract, Polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese knotweed) root extract, Aloe barbadenis (aloe) leaf extract, D-flavanoids, Brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) extract, Vitamin E, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, Glycine soja (soybean) peptide, Adenosine, Scutellaria baicalensis (Chinese skullcap) root extract, Pueraria lobata (kudzu) root extract, Trehalose, Dipotassium glycyrrhizate, Opuntia ficus-indica (barbary fig) fruit extract, Glycine soja (soybean) seed extract, Hydrolysed pea protein, Pisum sativum (pea) extract, Isoflavone, Panax ginseng root extract, Ginkgo biloba leaf extract, Angelica gigas extract, Cimicifuga dahurica root extract, Equisetum himemale extract, Linoleic acid, Punica granatum (pomegranate) fruit extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, Hizikia fusiforme extract, Coptis chinensis (Chinese goldthread) root extract, Portulaca oleracea extract, Citrus unshiu (Satsuma mandarin) peel extract, Grape skin extract, Yeast betaglucan, Levulinic acid, Dioscorea villosa (wild yam) root extract, Vaccinium angustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract, Hyaluronan, Malus domestica (apple) fruit extract, Silybum marianum (milk thistle), Sophorin, Astaxanthin, Quercetin, Citrus aurantium bergamia (bergamot) fruit oil.
Oh boy, this ingredients list is super long, full of extracts, and probably means nothing to you. To be honest, it doesn't really mean much to me either since I don't know what most of these ingredients do. I've tried to add the common names for most of the extracts, although are pretty obsure regardless. In a way, I feel like loading the product with so many extracts is pointless though.
Most of the ingredients don't come up with any acne triggers or safety issues. The only one that came up is vitamin E which I don't personally know too much about, but please take note if this is an ingredient that causes acne for you!
Pricing
BB Cosmetic: $13.58 (free shipping worldwide)
Koreadepart: $9.45 USD (shipping by weight)
Yadah's official website: 17,500 won / $15.40 USD (within Korea only)
With the Anti Zero Spot Cream, Koreadepart comes in a bit cheaper (although this is a sale price I believe). If you are planning a haul with Koreadepart then it might be worth it to pick this up too, but otherwise I would recommend BB Cosmetic since Koreadepart shipping fees are quite expensive for a small amount of items.
📷 PHOTOS + DETAILS: ANTI-T RED ZERO SPOT CREAM
Here is the tube and the packaging! I really like the overall design of this product. The colour contrast and the simple drawings are really nice.
A far bit of warning: if you don't like seeing acne / acne marks, don't scroll any further! I have some photos of my own acne further down.
The tube design is actually quite unique (or at least I've never seen anything like this before), and there's a small knob on the side that you press to dispense the product.
(I'm really sorry for the low quality of this picture. I've been having so much trouble with Tumblr recently and the photo I originally took just wouldn't upload.. I've had to try over 20 times just to upload all the pictures in this review and it's really becoming troublesome 😓)
Anyway, the cream is quite light in texture, kind of like a gel cream. It feels quite smoothing and fresh once you apply it and it feels moisturising too.
So here is my experience with this spot cream! Before using the cream, I have quite a few active pimples which are raised as you can see. After using it every day, and pausing my other spot treatments, the second side is my after.
The odd thing about this cream is that it didn't calm down all my pimples. It did help soothe some of them. A lot of the ones that hadn't come to a head yet, came to a head immediately after using the cream. This allowed me to use my pimple patches and quickly get rid of them.
If you have problematic skin and you're interested in k-beauty, you've most likely heard of the COSRX Centella Blemish Cream. However, apart from being a spot treatment they're not really that similar. They do both have centella asiatica as an ingredient, but it's definitely more prominent in the COSRX cream. The main difference is that the COSRX cream is a lot thicker, and a little goes a long way.
I've found that the COSRX cream doesn't really work that well on me anymore... this is different for everyone's skin though. I think if you have one, and it works, you probably don't need the other.
💭 OVERVIEW + FINAL THOUGHTS
yadah auto lip crayon: 5 / 5
I have become very fond of this lip crayon. I like how pigmented and vivid the colour is, and it's creamy and moisturising. I also enjoy the stain that it leaves behind, so it looks pretty even when it fades.
It's easy to use, and especially easy to create a gradient lip with which is my favourite lip application technique. I've used it around 10 times and the tip hasn't even changed shape really so I could imagine that it would last a long time.
I wouldn't wear this lip crayon everyday since I don't like lip products that transfer (since I drink a lot of water, as I mentioned earlier). Howvever, that's not necessarily a problem with the product, it's just a feature of the type of product and it can't really be helped so I won't be marking it down just for that.
💖 Pros: Pigmented colour, moisturising, long-lasting. 💔 Cons: Transfers easily, leaves a stain (could be good or bad, up to you).
yadah anti-t red zero spot cream: 4 / 5
This isn't a perfect spot cream for me - I'd love for it to just make my spots disappear but I doubt many people find a product as perfect as that. This spot cream has been working well for me though. I like that it soothes some away but it also inflames some so I can get rid of them more easily with other methods.
I'm not quite sure how long this would last, but I haven't made a noticeable dent in it yet. Since it's a spot treatment, it should last a while.
The packaging is handy and a lot more portable than the COSRX Centella Cream, so if you ever feel like you need to soothe your blemishes on the go, you can! I also love the packaging design. If you're looking for a new spot cream, I would suggest checking this one out! 💕
💖 Pros: Handy packaging, soothes pimples, helps bring blemishes to a head. 💔 Cons: Doesn’t work on all blemishes, may not work for everyone!
Please keep in mind for acne products, it varies for everyone! 😬
OTHER MINI REVIEWS: WELCOS CONFUME ARGAN TREATMENT OIL + THE FACE SHOP THE THERAPY
welcos confume argan treatment oil: 5 / 5 I've been trying out different Korean hair oils for a while to soothe my damaged ends. I saw a lot of good reviews on this one, and I liked how it came in a huge bottle (it also comes with a mini travel sized bottle).
It's hard to really describe how an oil works in a unique way, but this oil has been working well for me in soothing my damaged ends. I use it just after showering on damp hair and also once my hair is dry. If you're looking for an affordable hair oil, you should try this one 😍
I bought this from BB Cosmetic for $10.83.
the face shop the therapy royal made moisture blending formula cream: 5 / 5
Even though I have dry skin, I've always been more fond of gel creams. I got this in a sample set pouch but I'm going to be purchasing the full size once I come back from China. I originally started using this when I ran out of my Belif Aqua Bomb, but I think I actually like this one better since it's not as heavily fragranced.
It has a very light, soft texture but still very moisturising. This has been very good for keeping my eyes and nose moisturised, but it's very good for all over the face. A bonus is that it seems to be lasting a long, long time. This is only the sample size and I'm only about halfway through so far.
The sample / travel kit that this is available in goes for $10.98 (with 2 other small products). The full size is available for $28.37.
Thank you for checking out my review today! I hope you enjoyed reading and here are links for mentioned products again if you were interested in any of them:

When I was approached to review the SkinStore X Caudalie box, I learned about SkinStore’s sister site, Lookfantastic, and that they have their own Beauty Box! I was really intrigued, especially because it is fairly reasonable around $20. So I thought I would sign up and see what it’s like!
Lookfantastic Beauty Box
Price: $20.50/month
Box Type: Beauty Box
Why you’ll love it: Each box contains at least six products every month. This can be an assortment of: skin, hair, cosmetic, OR body products – perfect to satisfy any beauty guru’s appetite.
How to sign up: Click here!
#gallery-0-8 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-8 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-8 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-8 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
The packaging from this box was so lovely- I love that light sea/teal color and combined with with the gold foiled words on the box? SO PRETTY! I love this box. It reminds me of the really nice boxes from the Box That Shall Not Be Named.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The insert that comes along with the products is so nice! The theme of this month’s box is “Global Glamour” and the insert (more like a 20 page magazine) discusses different beauty trends around the world. This insert reminds me so much of the booklets that were included in the SkinStore Limited Edition boxes (like the Caudalíe and the Philip Kingsley boxes) and they are all really nice.
I’ve never read an ELLE UK before. I used to really love ELLE magazine and even subscribed for a long time but then I found I wasn’t reading them as often as I was getting them so I ended up canceling. However, if I’m taking a trip on an airplane, you can bet I grab an ELLE every time. It will be interesting to read the UK version!
And here’s everything I got! I have to be honest, I was a little surprised when I saw all of the items, considering the weight and the quality of the box but when I opened it, I was sort of like… huh. OK. Interesting. So we’ll get into that more below.
Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner ($20.10): When I first opened the box, my eyes were immediately drawn to the Mane ‘n Tail shampoo and conditioner, because holy throwback, Batman! I remember really wanting to use these products when I was so little. Like in the late 80s or early 90s, I remember seeing these products on the shelves and I would think that if I used them, I would have beautiful, thick hair like a horse’s mane. Keep in mind, I have fine, straight, limp hair. It is going to take more than a shampoo to give me volume. I can’t remember if I actually convinced my mom to buy this stuff for me 20 years ago, but I’m interested to try these again to see what I think!
I do want to note that the insert said that this is a cult item in the US and after Jennifer Aniston and Demi Moore used it, it became an essential in every girl’s bathroom. And I’m like… maybe 20 years ago? Well before Jennifer Aniston started her own line of haircare maybe? LOL. So random. I think this is a stretch.
Korres Santorini Vine Body Milk ($22.50): Korres has made some of my favorite skincare and I guess I never realized they never made body products! I’m glad to have a little lotion I can keep in my purse and my car for my dry AF hands.
Gatineau Gentle Silk Toner ($21.95): I have never heard of this brand before but insert says it’s a cult French pharmacy brand. (But… is it? Just like Mane n Tail is in every girl’s bathroom?) I don’t use toners very often so I’m probably going to just donate this.
Skin79 Super Beblesh Balm SPF 30 PA++ BB Cream ($13.69): This is bb cream from a Korean brand that is new to me but I am excited because for the first time ever, a company sent me a face sample I can use! It actually looks light enough to go on my face! So I am excited. Also excited because if I can like it, it’s only $14 on Amazon. Sweet.
Lottie London Balm Ball Lip Hydrator ($12): I love the smell (Caramel Apple) and the unique shape so as soon as I saw this, I slathered it all over my lips. Then I looked up the ingredients and discovered it contained castor oil so I immediately scrubbed it off of my lips. Such a bummer! I wish I could have used it. Lottie London is an English brand and it is now being sold at Ulta!
Lord & Berry Magic Brow Pencil ($19.50): I actually almost threw this away because it was hiding underneath the crinkle paper in the box (which is why it’s not in the main picture.) Apparently this pencil was made in Milan. I didn’t love it because I think it’s a little too warm. I prefer cooler brow colors, so I’ll donate this one.
Here is a swatch of the brow pencil.
[line]
Final Grade: C
I am not sure I was super impressed with the Look Fantastic August box, however, I will keep the subscription for a few more months because I’m not one to judge a subscription box brand by one box. I did like the actual box itself, the insert quality and the fact that I got an ELLE UK. However, I didn’t really LOVE any of the products. There are a few I liked and will try but none that I was like OMG, I NEED TO PUT THIS ON RIGHT NOW. Ya know? Just average. Though I will use that Korres lotion for sure.
