#QuoteOfTheDay (20240428):
“Anda bisa mengatasi pilihan makanan yang buruk dan gangguan hormon yang diakibatkannya dengan latihan hormonal.”
Berlebihan dalam makan/minum plus seringnya mengkonsumsi produk olahan menjadi habit manusia zaman now.

I don’t have anything as serious as these, but I have some stuff to add. My mom has a disease called Hashimoto’s. It’s an autoimmune disease that causes the thyroid gland to become inflamed and fail. For years my mom dealt with severe pain, acne and homonal imbalances that stopped her from sleeping but made her constantly exhausted, and those aren’t even the worst. She went for years dealing with that, she went to many doctors, male and female, and she was dismissed by all of them. One of her friends that was in med school called her one day and told her to go to a walk in clinic and get a bunch of tests. My mom did it, and when her results came back, they realized she wasn’t crazy or making it up. She had Hashimoto’s disease, and she was also allergic to birth control which made her thyroid produce toxins that essentially poisoned her body. My mom went through years of hell because no one was willing to listen to her until a friend who had only been in med school for 3 years, figured it out. Whether your doctor is female or male, they might not listen to you. So do yourself a favour, do your research, figure out what tests need to be done to see if you have what you think you have. Don’t dismiss your symptoms likes other people do.
And to add on to what I previously said; my mom was ignored, no one believed her, so you’d think after all the hell she went through, when I fractured my humerus and the doctor told my mom I needed physio therapy, you’d think she listen. She didn’t so I never went to physio therapy, and despite having broke my arm a year ago as of a next week, I arm still hurts. I can no longer carry anything heavier than 5 pounds with my left arm. I can’t move my arm certain ways anymore, lifting my arm all the way up hurts. My fracture is healed, but because I never did the exercises that would have been taught to me if I had gone to physio, I know have permanent bone damage that gives me constant pain. What I’m getting at is don’t let people dismiss you. Don’t let doctors, friends, or family dismiss you. And especially, don’t dismiss yourself. Do what you have to do to get proper help and treatment.
people have no idea what its like to be 14 and have everyone telling you that you’re faking and pretending to be ill for attention or to skip art class and the doctor’s telling you you’re ‘just being a teenager’ when you actually had a serious kidney disease
if someone hadn’t eventually listened to me i would have died
Please, please support self-diagnosed teenagers, don’t pretend they’re not really disabled, don’t belittle or mock them, don’t exclude them from disabled spaces and for the love of god don’t pretend you know more about them than they do

Sugar Shun (Parenthetically yours) 8 Steps to Kick Sugar Cravings to the Curb. OUCH!
(Day #5 and no refined sugar. Thanks Lisa for this article from Woman’s Health Network!)
My “editorial” comments below are in (RED) 8 Steps
“Craving — and eating — sugar is not simply about willpower or emotions. (That’s true because I’ve not had willpower for a long time and because I am a therapist I am in COMPLETE control of my emotions . . . ) We now understand that there may be…
