Van Drama
Dave and the guy helping him have taken apart the front end of the van and removed the steering column. They needed to do that to see what parts were needed. In order to get the van road worthy, it's going to take some major work. I really wish I spoke Car & Driver.
The van has a slew of issues the major one being the fact that it no longer goes into gear. It won't go into drive or park. It's a pain in the arse because it's stuck in neutral and moves if you just push it. The rack and pinion is the biggest issue.
The other issues are that it needs newer tires, brakes all around, fix the motor mount, shocks and struts, ad the cv joints in the front end. I really wish I spoke Car & Driver. It would all make sense and then I could explain it better.
Dave wants to try to get everything fixed at once since the van is apart and the guy helping him has other things to do.
New about an apartment: I received a call from a housing authority in Hagerstown, MD. I spoke with the gentlemen and reviewed my info. We talked for twenty minutes when he finally asked me if I could do steps. I am disabled and cannot do steps. We came so close to having an apartment. The guy put me on the list for a handicap-accessible apartment. It sucks because I was on the waiting list for 2 years.
We really need to find a place asap. Our daughter is moving back with us in a few weeks, as soon as school is over. The family can no longer afford to keep her there.
Please donate to our Go Fund Me. The money has to go to the van. Once that has been fixed, we are going to try to find a private owner that has a place we can afford even if it's an RV.

Love
Love at the National theatre was, i will be honest with you, not one of my favorites of the plays we saw. It was a very emotional, very raw piece about three families living in a temporary homneless shelter leading up to Christmas. The was the theatre was set up just annoyed me like crazy for a few reasons. The set itself was brilliant because they set it up like the audience was inside the main room of the shelter along with the characters, making us understand the lack of privacy they were feeling constantly. What made me annoyed was that a lot of the action were going on in sections that were blocked off because of where we were seated. At first, I was straining to see anything at all, and if it wasn’t for a very kind old woman who offered the free seat next to hear for me, I don’t think I would have been able to see much of the production. I’m a very visual person, and visuals play a huge role in helping connect with the story. If I can’t see the visuals, I can’t connect with the story, so i think that ruined the experience for me and prevented me from having as much as an emotional experience as some of my other traveling companions did from their respective seat views
There was a particular scene involving an accident with the old woman where she loses control of her bowels and leaves a mess right on the floor. The whole scene made me extremelly unconfortable and emotional, as I had to deal with things of that nature taking care of my grandmother when she was going through cancer treatments before she died. Out of all the scenes, that would had the most impact on me because I had such a emotional connection to it, and in a way, this was gthe highlight for me in an otherwise discounected experience.
