I Don’t Need A Hero!….Well…Maybe….

At this point in time, it had been a solid two months since Casey had come to South Park. Since then she had registered for school as a Seinor and despite there only being three months left in the school year, she had kept the secret of her past a secret. After all she didn’t exactly broadcast the fact that she was a homless orphan on the run because it tended to bring trouble and she didn’t exactly feel like moving…again. She supposed it didn’t matter if child services came after her at this point because she only had about a week and a half until she was 18.

Casey had made a few friends but she wasn’t particularly close to them. Craig Tucker would probably be the closest friend she had. He didn’t ask questions and she liked that. The less people asked the less she had to lie about. She also talked to Stan and Kyle every now and again who seemed to be the school’s power couple after Craig and Tweek. She liked the two but Kyle was smart and she worried if maybe he noticed how she never let anyone walk her ‘home’ or how when people asked about her family she always said they were out of town on business. This lead to her only really speaking to them during class.

South Park really hadn’t brought her any trouble…yet. Which was a surprise because shit usually hit the fan by now. It was kinda nice to get to stay somewhere for more than a month or so. Casey fully intended on finishing the school year and graduating at South Park High. A smile graced her lips at the thought of graduating. It was nightfall now, around 9:00 give or take and Casey walked silently down the street. School had long been over for the day and Friday nights usually called for declined indentations for Casey. However when Craig invited her to get pizza at the new shop that opened up across the street from Tweak Bros. Coffee she decided to accept. She had a few extra dollars on her so she thought 'Why not?’.

The group sat at the booth for over an hour chatting and they went their separate ways for the night. Craig driving Tweek home and driving Clyde and Token to Token’s house for a game night. Casey had declined a ride and opted out for walking to the part. It was a dangerous thing for a girl her age to be walking around outside alone on a Friday night especially when the adults of South Park had quite the party habit as a greeting of the weekend. However Casey wasn’t scared. She was confident in her ability to protect herself. The wepon strapped to her thigh made sure of her safety. It would be silly for her to continue carrying her daggers if she didn’t know how to use then and they couldn’t serve a valid purpose. It was a good thing she was a perfessional.

There was something off about this night though. A feeling deep in Casey’s bones that made her senses numb. She felt as if she was on auto pilot as she walked, losing herself in her thoughts. It wasn’t like her but it had been such a strange day. Eric Cartman had been looking at her with a look that made her feel as if she had rocks in the pit of her stomach. He was planning something but she had no clue what. Casey, like many others, hated Cartman more than she had ever hated anyone.

Suddenly Casey was grabbed from behind. The feeling startled her and before she could react her arms were pulled back so her shoulderblades locked making her unable to use her arms. Panic rang through her realizing that she couldn’t reach her dagger. Being that Casey grew up in a circus, the only way she knew how to protect herself was with her blade. It was her saftey net and she never learned to fight any other way. 8 years of living on the streets and she had never been taken off guard like this. Did this person know what she was capable of or had they simply seen the dagger and assumed?

Whomever they were they began to drag her down an ally. Casey immediately began screaming for help. She fought with every fiber in her body but to no avail. She couldn’t pull her arms free from her attackers grip and she couldnt fight back. She felt trapped and she screamed louder. “HELP! YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE GET OFF OF ME! AGHHHH! HELP!” She felt something press against her upper arms binding them together and then her wrists. Whoever this was definetly knew of her past. Fear corsed through her every limb. Casey was either going to be raped or killed and at this point she didn’t know which was worse. It was too dark for her eyes to have adjusted yet and she couldnt see her attacker.

Casey continued to scream as loud as she could, tears now streaming down her face and she cried out as she was thrown against the wall. The pressure against her arms from her back was excrutiating and she continued to try and break herself free. It was no use. Casey found in the next moment that her scream had been cut off and she couldn’t breathe. She was being choked. “Shut up you little bitch…you’re not supposed to put up such a fucking fight. It’s pathetic. You’re nothing without that pretty little dagger. You know, my wife and I saw your show once. I knew it was you the second I saw you. You gre up nicely. Now you get to perform a different kind of show.” She gagged and coughed and gasped trying to get air in her lungs. Her eyes adjusted but she did not recognize the man who had her.

Casey begged silently for someone to save her but she doubted help would come. She had always had to take care of herself. No one ever helped her before so why would anyone help her now. She was so screwed.

I have no problem if you say we Dutch people walk on clogs, eat cheese, go to the red light district and smoking weed all day. Those stereotypes don’t bother me at all… I think we all used to hearing that when we go on a vacay and say where we from (the weed part for sure). For me it would be more of a problem if you want to have an in dept discussion about my country and don’t know wtf you’re talking about ending up pissing me off. 

Racism/political problems (with far right parties) are sadly something of the last couple of years and with many countries these days. You have Le Pen, we have Wilders, Belgium has De Winter, the US has Trump, AfD in Germany etc etc. It’s taking over because people are sadly afraid. 

I think in Paris alone you can see everything what you just said if you look/go outside of the city centre. The poverty, homeless, immigrants on the streets etc. I think that has improved compared to the camps you used to had in Paris… I have no idea about rape etc, but I think as women we’re always alert on the streets. That’s sadly how it is… 

On the other hand I think almost every country has these same problems. The only difference is that not every country has the same no1 problem and not every country has enough finances to deal/find a solution for the problems they have. 

You can also say we both live in a country where you know there’s freedom of speech, elections, maybe not equal pay but other than that women and men are equal, same sex marriage. From what Wikipedia just told me your college intuition is also very low so you have the chance to become what you want if you have the brains of course haha. But even the fact that you have the chance to go to school and work on the future. Instead of having to work to help your family. Do you know how many people dream of that? I mean we sometimes forget how blessed we are to be born in a country we were born in, but dont forget that.

Every country has it’s flaws. Yours has, mine has, the person who’s reading this her/his country has flaws too. But I damn sure love my country: flaws and all!

3. Like I said to that other anon. I don’t think it’s a French thing per se. I think it’s more of a western vs other culture/country thing. Here in Holland people would probably react the same way. Germany, Belgium etc etc probably too.
