#i was deeply obsessed wjth spiderverse after seeing it in theaters #it straight up never left my mind #i made my first ao3 account in 2018 just so i could leave comments on cute spiderverse fics #the first fic i ever read was a miles x reader then i tried writing my own #what i wrote had such a cute concept i still like it years later #you met him at a houseparty thrown for the end of school and do something embarrassing #lock yourself in the bathroom for a bit and then go sit outside n he follows you and you chitchat #then u gotta go home n it’s dark as fuck out and also winter #so real quick he suits up to make sure you get home ok Ends up saving you from getting mugged #but you got knocked out so he has to look on your phone to get your address n swings you home And by the time he gets you there #it’s a full blizzard so he’s forced to stay and it’s very bizarre when you finally come-to because Spiderman is just sitting in your room #n he snooped and looked through your sketchbook which was filled w drawings of spiderman #duuude it’s just like miles in atsv #anyways i didnt write more after that because i didn’t know where to go with it #barely an x reader i just wanted to be friends with him so badly i thought it meant it had to be romantic #i love it all these years later for being so sincere and Cringe #when i say spiderversr changed my life i mean it #it’s been such an influential part of it

#we were having fun sweeping the stage and singing that annoying song where it's like “99 bottles of beer on the wall” or whatever #and it was really great! and after a 4 hour set build i think we all needed something like that #and i was quietly singing along while the freshman were screaming it lol #(it should be noted that said theater director was not in the room for any of this. nor was she present for like. most of the set build.#-ok.)#and understandably some people got (more jokingly) annoyed and finally she came in and told the freshman to stop #at this point i was under the impression that we had swept the stage a lot. because we had. but also a lot of people had gone home so we #-didn't have a ton of people there helping #and this fucking bitch decided to SCREAM at the freshman when they said hey what if we did that every time we swept! because it was fun to #-sing while we worked! (we had also been singing christmas songs for no reason lol)#and my theater director shrieked YOU'RE ONLY ALLOWED TO SING IF THE STAGE IS SWEPT CLEAN ENOUGH FOR ME TO EAT OFF OF IT. AND IM NOT SEEING #-THAT RIGHT NOW!!!!!#and . once again. she was not. in the room. for the majority of set build or us singing while we swept.#and we cleaned up a LOT. but there was some dust left over because NO FUCKING SHIT IT'S A FUCKING THEATER. AND WE ARE BUILDING STUFF ON THE #-STAGE CONSTANTLY. IT'S GOING TO BE DUSTY REGARDLESS OF WHAT WE DO. WHY THE FUCK IS SHE SO AGAINST US SINGING IN A FUCKING MUSICAL THEATER #-PROGRAM!!! They really should invent a socializing that doesn't make me feel like im going to throw up.

#i can do it if its somewhere I have to go every day like school or work #or some kind of regularly scheduled activity/club #or a theater i know how theaters usually work #sometimes if it is a friends house I have been to for years #but im 25 almost nobody is in the same place they were #and im so scared talking to people all the time. I love people. I hate talking to people.#even texting and social media are so scary #I was getting really good at socializing once #Its not all covid because i was prone to it before but I do think lockdown and doing like 1.5 years of college at home were like...#and then how heartbreaking my senior year roommate situation was god i wish id just switched rooms #really good conditions for my social anxiety and self isolation tendencies to just go fuckin bananas

Im currently hatching a master plan to manipulate my family into cleaning the basement as a response to the stress of losing my space in the house but also because it would be cool

#basically because I’m away my dad thinks it’s funny to say he’s clearing all my stuff out and preparing me to move out and he’ll use my room #as a home theater and as an autistic person I get very stressed by having my things changed. where im more flexible about my day to day #routine changes in my physical environment that I don’t control are very very very stressful to me #I think I can get them to agree to try but the real issue is keeping the momentum

1. monkey man - incredibly good film. wonderful pacing, structure, visuals, just really spectacular storytelling.

2. the passenger - i liked it okay. :^) it had killing and violence. a man was held against his will. pretty good!

3. htbuap - I Think It's Great And You Should Watch It Too

4. the holdovers - very very good film. i could see myself watching it annually and with others in the future. very neat, tidy, wasn't shot on film but has that beautiful texture to it which i do appreciate. wonderful performances from several members of the cast.

5. dinner in america - strangely charming little film. kyle gallner brings an odd chemistry to all the roles i've seen him in. if you watch this movie viewing both main characters as autistic lesbians it makes a lot of sense.

6. anatomy of a fall - i thought this one was fine. very good performance by sandra hüller, she made me feel quite bad for that secluded autistic woman. i'm glad jakey died.

7. challengers - sometimes all a movie needs to be is gorgeous 35mm footage, edm, and a chronicle of a psychosexually disturbed threesome from their teenage years to middle age while we watch balls fly around and eventually become one. it really should have had a 3 minute long sex scene with the three of them but that's okay. that's okay.

8. quiz lady - sandra oh is in this. :) and awkwafina. :( it is an autistic woman movie though. as most movies i watch appear to be.

9. may december - absolutely stunning performance by charles melton. really did not like certain scenes, felt kinda cheap in places. i would've done it differently. did cry watching that scene with his son though!
