Actually, one little detail I find very amusing is that when Simon Petrikov first introduces himself in the ‘Holly Jolly Secrets’ tapes he says he’s studying to be an antiquarian

But in every other appearance since then he just says he is an antiquarian.

Implying either Simon, while the Crown was actively driving him crazy and his life was falling apart and he was probably crying about Betty every night

still managed to finish his academic degree.

Or he's just smoothing over the truth to make himself seem more scholarly.

Holly Jolly Secrets pt. 1: Finn, Jake, and BMO are in a dark, messy room filled with presents and decorated pine trees, with stockings with their names on them hung by the fireplace in the background. A Daydreamer's Holiday Movie Marathon: Adventure Times' Holly Jolly Secrets🗡🌨

Now, this one is a classic! Here we have the fan-favorite Cartoon Network series, Adventure Time! This two-part holiday special, Holly Jolly Secrets aired in 2011. We have the local neighborhood hero, Finn the Human and magical dog (and best friend/older brother) Jake the Dog dig up a suitcase full of secret tapes that The Ice King had buried earlier. They're interested in watching the tapes since Finn heard The Ice King say it was full of "evil secrets". What do they do? They put up flyers saying not to bother them as they head back to their treehouse, get comfortable, and get their robot buddy, BMO to play the secret tapes. Unfortunately, Ice King sees the flyers and can't help but want to join in on the fun no matter how much it takes even if it involves freezing the treehouse over.

To say this episode was iconic is an UNDERSTATEMENT! This episode changed EVERYTHING we thought about The Ice King previously! If you were watching the series at the time it was airing, you know how this episode shook you to your very core! This also changed the way some of the characters viewed The Ice King as the series went forward. It might not be the best of holiday specials, but it sure makes one hell of an episode (or well, episodeS)! This special also has a very cozy charm to it as well mainly during the second half. I totally recommend you give this episode a watch and I also recommend watching Adventure Time as a whole because the show is amazing!
