Tiso gets a crush

So I posted a tisohollow doodle yesterday and I wanted to elaborate a little more on it

Tiso’s type is “can kick my ass”. It is also “can pick me up like a disobedient football and carry me around”.

Hollow thinks that Tiso’s determination and gung ho attitude are cute.

Their first significant interaction is Tiso approaching Hollow for a spar. He mistakenly thinks that they’ll go easy on him. They do not.

They don’t go on dates. They fight, and Tiso loses miserably every time. At first, Tiso is frustrated by this, but as time goes on the sparring (and subsequent losses) becomes routine, and even fun.

Hollow starts picking Tiso up and carrying him around outside of their matches. He pretends to despise this to the point that he had to convince Hornet not to tell Hollow to stop.

Tiso says nothing when the relationship becomes official. Hollow doesn’t mind, because they were planning on the big reveal anyway. He is Absolutely Horrified when he’s ambushed by the others for a congratulatory pat on the back… and an absolutely vicious shovel talk.

Quirrel and Cloth give Hollow a shovel talk regarding Tiso. Hornet and Ghost give Tiso a shovel talk regarding Hollow. Somehow, Hollow is more terrified than Tiso, though Quirrel and Cloth insist that they were incredibly polite about it.

When Tiso bites off more than he can chew, Hollow steps in. No one has seen them that agile in ages.

Once, a stranger to Dirtmouth loudly questioned whether Hollow was even sentient, given their tendency to be still as a corpse and lack of an ability to speak. Before anyone could react, Tiso showed up and asked whether the newcomer could even fight, or was he hiding behind his words? Coward. The newcomer was quick to leave, especially considering that the attention Tiso’s challenge garnered seemed to favor him.

Hornet was Not Happy about the relationship for the first few weeks, but she noticed the new pep in Hollow’s step and begrudgingly admitted that maybe, just maybe, Tiso could stick around.
