There were a boatload of easter eggs compressed into that closing segment during the season finale of "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man", but I'd thought to highlight a particularly interesting one.

The startup company Harry Osborn creates is Worldwide Engineering Brigade or W.E.B. for short. Sound familiar yet? As you can see in my edit above, that's the same company housing the Spider-Man attraction at the Avengers Campus (Disney's California Adventure and Walt Disney Studios Park).

It's obviously not the same timeline, since automatically this isn't Tom Holland's Peter Parker, and the Avengers Campus kind of runs outside 616's canon to correspond the theme park element. But as a Disney Parks fan, I would love to see more tie-ins with WEB in season 2 of "YFNSM"!

Bonus: Harry sent emails to former Oscorp colleagues to invite them to join W.E.B. One who'd accepted is a Wakandan girl named Asha. Well, in the WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure ride, the "slinger" vehicles have been crafted with vibranium. If the series honors any of the attraction's blueprints, we could see Asha engineering this project soon.

In the 1920s and ’30s, studios like Paramount and Warner Bros. put out as many as seventy movies per year. Around its peak in the ’90s, Miramax tried releasing a new film almost every week. The difference between Netflix and its predecessors is that the older studios had a business model that rewarded cinematic expertise and craft. Netflix, on the other hand, is staffed by unsophisticated executives who have no plan for their movies and view them with contempt. Cindy Holland, the first employee Sarandos hired, who eventually served as vice president of original content, once compared Netflix’s rapacious DVD acquisition strategy to “shoveling coal in the side door of the house.” This remained true as Netflix ramped up its original-film production. In researching this essay, I was told by sources about two high-level Netflix executives who have been known to green-light projects without reading the scripts at all. Such slipshod filmmaking works for the streaming model, since audiences at home are often barely paying attention. Several screenwriters who’ve worked for the streamer told me a common note from company executives is “have this character announce what they’re doing so that viewers who have this program on in the background can follow along.”

Warnings: I find it harmless but I could see how someone might see a patient x healthcare provider fic as weird. Pure fluff

Becoming a physical therapist had been one of your best decisions.

It meant getting to watch people heal, reach new milestones, and raise their confidence with your help.

It also didn't hurt that you had been hired by a film studio and were taking care of Tom Holland behind the scenes.

With all the stunts he had to do on this film, you had been hired preliminarily, as they knew that they, along with his daily workouts, would take a toll on his body throughout the shoot.

You got to be on set at all times making sure people were staying loose and limber between takes but also doing full hour-long sessions with the actors at least once a week.

By the time your first session had ended, you and Tom had become fast friends, building the relationship with quick banter. Your job required Tom putting a lot of trust in you, and he had no qualms doing so.

Within a month, you had gotten close enough to make fun of each other without feeling bad about it. After two months, you had become practically inseparable friends.

One session, Tom was laying on a yoga mat as you lifted his legs above him, maneuvering them to alternate stretching his hamstrings and quads.

"So how did you even become a physical therapist? Is that like psychology or something?"

You laughed until you realized he was serious.

"Dude, did you miss that the P in PT stands for physical?"

"Well no, but I thought that maybe it was just a specialty or something."

You shook your head.

"Tom, I went to four years of undergrad to get a bachelor's in exercise science and then I did a three year doctoral program to become a doctor in physical therapy?"

"Wait... you're a doctor?!?" Tom exclaimed. You hung your head as you lifted his other leg.

"What did you think the D in DPT stood for?"

"I don't know! I'm not the doctor here! I never claimed to be smart!"

You continued shaking your head and rolled your eyes playfully.

"You're lucky you're hot," you sighed.

Tom's brows shot up as he looked at you from behind his foot raised in the air.

"Oh, so you think I'm hot?" he said teasingly.

"I'm pretty sure that's one of the best known facts about you. It's basically an objective statement rather than an opinion."

"Hmmm. Dr. Y/l/n thinks I'm hot," he bragged smugly.

His smirk was quickly replaced with a grimace and a groan as you pushed his leg deeper into a stretch. His hamstrings had been pretty tight lately.

"Oh I get it, that's punishment for my behavior."

"I think it's just me doing my job," you laughed. After a few more seconds, you dropped his leg and helped him up.

You continued on with the rest of the session, Tom continuing to call you Dr. Y/l/n throughout. You knew that your formal title was "doctor," but it was rare that you actually went by it.

Once you wrapped up, you and Tom headed to craft services and then his trailer for lunch. It was just you two inside, eating sandwiches and preparing Tom to go back to set later.

After having a few bites in silence, Tom spoke up again from across the table.

"So you really think I'm hot, huh?"

You tossed your head back and rolled your eyes yet again.

This boy couldn't let anything go.

You finished chewing your bit before responding.

"I already told you, that's a general consensus, not my personal belief per se."

"Oh you just don't wanna admit it."

"And risk ruining our friendship? I think not," you chuckled. You shifted sideways so that your legs extended across your trailer bench and back rested against the wall.

"I see how it is then," Tom trailed, returning to his lunch.

After you both finished, you looked down at your watch.

"Hey we should probably start heading back. We need to get you warm before harnessing up."

You stood up and stretched your back, causing a few vertebrae to pop loudly.

"Yikes. Need help with that?" Tom offered.

"What do you mean?" you asked as he stood as well.

"Your back. I learned how to pop it on spiderman 3. Andrew's a pretty good back popper if you didn't know."

You laughed. As an expert, you wanted to say no knowing that Tom didn't have and true training, but there was one spot that was still bugging you so you obliged.

He got behind you, wrapping his arms across your chest. You relaxed and he quickly lifted you off the ground. There were a few more satisfying pops in your back and he lowered you gently.

You both stayed in the position for a few moments, not sure how to move.

The air had changed. Suddenly it felt so intimate.

Tom's arms loosened enough for you to turn around and face him.

"Could you tell me why admitting I'm hot would ruin our friendship?" he whispered.

You looked in his eyes, then glanced to his lips.

"Because I'm afraid of what might come next," you answered even quieter. A hand involuntarily reached up to move a curl from his eye line and stayed, cupping his cheek.

"And what might that be?" he started to lean in.

You closed the gap, kissing him passionately.

It lasted for a good few seconds before you pulled away and looked down.

"Something tells me I'm going to regret this," you whispered again.

He grabbed your hand in his and tipped up your chin with the other.

"And what makes you say that, darling?"

"Is this allowed? Legal? I'm pretty sure I just broke like... so many ethics codes."

Tom tipped his head back and laughed.

"Hey, hey. Relax. We can stop this now and never bring it up again, but I wanted you to know that I really like you."

You sighed.

"And I really like you too, Tom."

"Well then look at that. If you want this as much as I do, we can make it work, I'm sure of it. And if we can't work together directly anymore, I can at least make sure you aren't too far, okay?"

You nodded.

"You mean that? You would help me?"

"Are you kidding? Of course. I want you here but I also want you doing whatever's best. I only have one requirement."

You quirked a brow.

"Oh?"

"Yeah. You have to admit that you think I'm hot."

You laughed and scrunched your nose.

"That's a tall order. Not sure if I can say it," you teased.

His brows raised in anticipation.

"Oh fine, I think you're hot, Tom. Really hot."

"There it is. Finally!' He exclaimed, pulling you into another kiss.

You decided to humor him once you separated again.

"Hmm. Just what the doctor ordered."

The Construct - ‘C’ Likeness:  Cillian Murphy In-game Name: Theconstruct (WrA-H) Artist: Merwild His Master, Gaebral’s, finest and most ‘innocent’ creation.  Although he presents himself as a Death Knight, no one is really sure if that is the truth or not - there’s much more to him than meets the eye.  He tends to be a bit of a wanderer and never stays in one place for too long, often preferring to watch and observe but is ‘friendly’ enough upon approach.  His views on life and the world may be a little too extreme for some.

Aerden Lo’sharri Jr. Likeness:  Tom Holland In-game Name: Aerdenn  (WrA-H) Artist: Teallinum Looks like a cinnamon roll and IS (mostly) a cinnamon roll!  He joined the military as soon as he was of age and has been there ever since.  He started in the medical tents but has since become a combat medic, being one of the few that uses Life magic and is also an empath.  He was recently chosen to go through the Elite Forces training and is currently in training for that. He still has a lot of growing up to do but he has a bright and optimistic outlook on life despite all the hardships. He learned in the recent years that Pollux Hale is his biological father! 

Ryland Falkov Likeness: Thomas Doherty In-game Name: Falkov (WrA-A), Ryyland (WrA-H), Ryyland (MG-A) Artist: Zoratrix A half-elf born from a human mother and a high elf father (whom he has never met nor even knows the name of), Ryland grew up in his mother’s dance studio where she taught lessons. Now he can be spotted in a variety of night clubs go-go dancing for tips, and more recently you can find him on the Succulent Tart stage! He is also the lead navigator for the Lady Lillium, working under Captain Felonous Blacksun. He’s charming, flirtatious, and loves to be the center of attention - he’s also always on the lookout for his next sugar mama/daddy.

Taric Sunflare (Darkmorn) Likeness: Joe Alwyn In-game Name: Darkmorn  (WrA-H) Artist: Zoratrix An alchemist and herbologist who owns the alchemy shop, The Red Rook, down in Booty Bay with his cockatiel Pickles, Taric could be considered something of a ‘modern hippie’. He prides himself on the quality and effectiveness of his all-natural potions, having studied the craft under his mother for his entire life until she passed. Often found traveling for work, he is able to adapt and thrive in pretty much any culture.  He is the nephew of Tristenne ‘Red’ Darkmorn, although that will likely remain a secret for some time even though most that know both suspect some sort of relation given their similarities.  Like all the Darkmorns before him, he’s able to freely traverse the Shadowlands and commune with the dead.

Kareenia  Amberlight - ‘Kara’ Likeness: Anya Taylor-Joy In-game Name: Kareenia  (WrA-H) Artist: AvannTeth The younger sister of Dicenne Amberlight, Kara is something of a wild card. She currently lives in a small apartment in Silvermoon City with her cat, Shabby, but can be found often visiting Dice in Ratchet. She’s had a rough life, but thanks to her big brother she’s done a lot of healing in recent years and is less afraid of being out in public and in crowds. Art is her therapy, and she’s quite the skilled painter.

Inistellan Volanthus - ‘Stellan’ Likeness:  Clive Owen or Jon Hamm In-game Name:  Inistellan  (WrA-H) Artist: Merwild My oldest (in age, not in time played) and most distinguished character, Stellan has led a very long and fulfilling life…that the majority will never hear about.  He’s gone through three name changes in his lifetime, although he’ll only ever go into detail about his present persona. Currently he works as a bouncer and an occasional host for The Red Moon when not doing mercenary gigs with Talonoa. The man prefers to remain a bit of a mystery to just about everyone, even those closest to him - for a good reason.

Ourobor An’dar - ‘Ouro’ Likeness:  Dan Stevens or Ryan Gosling In-game Name:  Ourobor  (WrA-H) Artist: DarkTarou While he’ll tell others he’s a freelance mercenary, Ouro is first and foremost an arms dealer and anyone in the business would know him as such. Horde, Alliance, military, citizen, mercenary - he’ll cater to anyone that offers the right price. He will never be found without a gun somewhere on his person, they are his lifeline and his obsession. On a quest for vengeance right now, his violent desires tend to play a heavy role in all aspects of his life.

Garren Norassin Likeness: Lucky Blue Smith In-game Name: Garrenne  (WrA-A) The son of Xylaes (former high elf, now blood elf) and Callia (night elf, now deceased and in Maldraxxus), he doesn’t remember much of his mother and has only recently met his father. Their relationship is very shaky given the circumstances, but Xy is now the only family that he has left. He’s still young and is trying to find his footing in this world, which has not been easy given his unusual appearance that puts him as a bit of an outcast within both the Horde and Alliance. He lost his home and grandparents when Teldrassil was burned, and is currently living in Bel’ameth trying to find a new path in life.

*NEW CHARACTER!** Vienyos and Ellarielle Descatoire Likeness: Angela Sarafyan In-game Name: Vienyos (WrA-H - Ellarielle does not exist in game as she’s rarely around and busy with family) Vie and Ella are Shal’dorei twins that used to be a part of the Resistance within Suramar before the bubble was lifted. Ellarielle has since started a family with @calebbe and is often traveling with him and their two children. Vienyos, also known as the Suramar Siren for her vocals, has joined Succulent Tart and performs in various clubs all over Azeroth.
