Our local artist, Belle Mariano, from the Philippines, dressed up as the 2019 Holiday Barbie for the Star Magical Christmas, and I'm still gagging on how beautiful she looked, like,

I was not aware of any of this until recently so I hope I am explaining it correctly -- but apparently Mattel originally designed and advertised a doll to tie in with the 1997 Cinderella starring Brandy... and then never released it.

I'm not sure why it never actually hit shelves - there may never have been an official reason given by Mattel. Now mostly what is found by searching for it is people who have created their own OOAK customs out of other Brandy Barbies.

Such as the "Singing Holiday Brandy", released a couple of years later. (This isn't prominently described as a Barbie on the box, but it does feature the Barbie logo and website on the back so I'll count it.)

Mattel have very recently remedied this... kind of. They have recently released a fashion doll themed around Cinderella as she is depicted by Brandy - not in the 1997 Cinderella, but in Descendants: Rise of Red.

While beautiful, this isn't quite the same!

So for now we will have to stick with people's OOAKs and customs. Like this one, from r/dolls!
