I have learned lessons with low low light and shadows whilst shooting slide film in the past. On a recent holiday I decided to take advantage of some very sunny conditions and loaded my Holga with a roll of expired Fujichrome 100D.

Embracing imperfections. Vignetting.

The cheap plastic lenses in the Holga and Diana make vingetting (the darkening of an image in the corners) more likely. This can be eliminated by using a film back. That is, if you want to. 

The manufacture of these camera mean some individual cameras vignette more than others. You only know it is there after the film has been developed. Quite often this results in a nice surprise and an accidental masterpiece.
