Street photography attempt, Aberystwyth. Holga 120. Expired Fujichrome 100D.
This roll of Fujichrome has been waiting in my fridge for a number of years and was expired when I bought it from eBay. That probably accounts for the degradation that is visible on these shots.
As I was using slide film I was conscious of the lighting available on the narrow streets of Aberystwyth. The pride flag in the pub window caught my eye. As did a "double slot" postbox. Again. i waited for people to walk across the frame before snapping the shot.

The Aberystwyth rejects. Holga 120. Expired Fujichrome 100D.
These are the shots I did not deem worthy of consideration when deciding what to send to The Daily Holga.
Perhaps I could have chosen the photo of the people crossing the road and I do like the film end.
These attempts at street photography have inspired me to submit work to Holga Week this month. Watch this space.

Olympus Trip 35. Fujichrome 100D (shot at 80iso.)
I have been away for a few weeks. Now I am back. Did anyone miss me?
The last time I shot an expired roll of Fujichrome 100D I set the iso to 50 and was not exactly pleased with the results. This prompted me to shoot a roll in the Olympus Trip 35 as that particular camera offers more options in its iso settings. I chose 80.
If anything the colour reproduction here is more muted. I was aware of underexposure and made sure only to shoot well lit subjects.

Sefton Park Palm House. Olympus Trip 35. Fujichrome 100D (shot at 80iso.)
Sefton Park Palm House was partially reopened in 1993. A complete reopening took place in 2001. This followed a high profile campaign to prevent the Grade II listed structure falling further into disrepair after many years of neglect. Today it is a major tourist draw and the park would be much poorer without it.
I visited on a very bright and sunny day so managed to get some decent shots inside and outside with the Olympus Trip 35 on the expired Fujichrome 100D.

Daffodils, Sefton Park. Olympus Trip 35. Fujichrome 100D (shot at 80iso.)
I try to get a few shots of the daffodils every year. I realise I have a very small window in which to do it and generally just have to take the opportunity when I can.
This year I took the opportunity whilst loaded with expired Fujichrome 100D. I think next year I shall ensure I am loaded with a colour negative roll.

Bakewell. Olympus Trip 35. Fujichrome 100D (shot at 80iso.)
Last month I went away for a few nights to Bakewell. The intention was to get away form home and work and chill. I did nothing but walk, read, take photos and visit the pub.
The first camera I took out with me was the Olympus Trip 35 that was loaded with Fujichrome 100D. The weather was varied and I seized opportunities to take shots when the sun appeared from behind a cloud.

Maen-y-groes. Holga. Fujichrome 100D.
Whilst on a drive in Wales I decided to take advantage of the bright weather and shoot some slide film for cross processing.
Maen-y-groes translates as "stone of the cross" and is a short drive from New Quay in Ceredigion.

Holga. Fujichrome 100D.
I have learned lessons with low low light and shadows whilst shooting slide film in the past. On a recent holiday I decided to take advantage of some very sunny conditions and loaded my Holga with a roll of expired Fujichrome 100D.

Cross Inn. Holga. Fujichrome 100D.
Whilst out driving in Wales I stopped to take some photos in Cross Inn. I was taken by the light and the rather interesting corrugated iron local shop.
I was pleased to see some nice light leaks when the film came back too.

Watford Gap Services. Holga. Fujichrome 100D.
I had a few frames left on a roll of FujiChrome 100D and decided to use them at Watford Gap Service Station on the way home as the weather seemed to be bright enough.
