So another really heartbreaking part of Sweet Despair from yesterday was the villager scene at around 24:06 I believe?

Because it's not really like a big detail, and it might not resonate that much with people, but this really broke my heart. Idk maybe it's because I recognized the exact same reaction in some of my loved ones, but damn, this part just got too real.

It's one thing to have your character just forget, but here is this whole scene where qbbh is just upset, looking for cage traps, desperately trying to fix something that doesn't need to be fixed. He sounded so upset just walking in and out of the kitchen, trying to look for cage traps because he doesn't remember the villagers are supposed to be there.

And poor Pomme is trailing after him, patiently trying to calm him down and ground him. Trying to reassure her father that everything is alright. It's ok, the villagers are supposed to be there. It's ok, dad, Dapper would have wanted them there. And he only calms down when he gets distracted by another subject.

Fuck--Alright! It was awful, is that not enough!? I was in hell! Imprisoned there by a god who was angry that a man had evaded him for far longer than any mortal should ever be able to. 

It wasn't a full two thousand years for me thanks to the Zero Point's own timeline, but it was for him, and thats all he gave a shit about! Gods are always so god damn arrogant.

[Thankfully the words spilling out of him relieve the pressure in his mind, but they do nothing to quell the discomfort of remembering things so horrible.]

Every day. For four years. Was a fucking nightmare. Total isolation in a cell to myself was broken up by the goading voices of shades that he allowed to taunt me, or torture from the ones powerful enough to remain corporeal. 

And by the visions given to me! Whether they were from him, or from the shades, I don't know and I don't care. 

When they weren't showing me the death of my daughters over and over and over again! they'd show me escape. I'd be running out of my cell and towards freedom, towards Jules, only to wake right back where I was, sitting on the stone floor with one hand chained above my head while my other arm, useless and handless lay at my side.

I could not eat. I could not sleep. I felt nothing but pain and misery for every hour spent in that miserable place. 

[He laughs, humorlessly. Manically.]

Oh, but sometimes, he'd bless me with his company. Hades. He'd grace me with a visit himself, come to remind me that this would be my eternity. That he owned me. 

I think what was most horrendous, was I started to look forward to him dropping by. At least it was something, anything, other than the fucking shades! 

[He takes a large breath and heaves a sigh. The pain from the serum had worn off entirely, leaving him exhausted.]

There. You have your answer, and I need a drink.

She couldn't decide what was more surreal: The fact that she was sitting here making pleasant conversation with the de Clairs, who remained blissfully unaware of who she really was and how she really knew their boy, or the fact that she was talking about herself as if she were a separate entity altogether! It was enough to make her head spin, and she was grateful for the glass of water a passing maid put down on the table-it was much-needed in the moment.

As she drank and smiled and continued to try to ease herself into the cheerful conversation, she couldn't help but glance Philippe's way, watching his eyes, his face: He was quick to make a cover story for her (which she appreciated), but just how long could they keep this ruse up? Would it just be for the night...

...or would this be a strange chance for them to be together?

Hello, this is an ask/rp blog for an OC of mine that I decided that I wanted to rp the Star Trek AU for.

His name is (illegally) James Isaac Bennett (legally in his Federation documentation he is (in Standard) Lorian Asil Sokel. They were updated recently.) and, for his normal verse, he worked as Chief of Security for the USS Mesa prior to his transfer to the Enterprise where he just kind of...floats around without a permanent post right now. (His father Richard Wallace Bennett, who had been a Captain, had committed serious crimes and stripped of rank) His mother is T'Auria, a member of the Vulcan Council, she is being considered for a place among the Vulcan High Command should she not be re-elected due to her exemplary career.

He's a Half-Vulcan who was raised in a primarily human environment by a "human" father who had no idea what to do really with his son.

Makoto will go beyond the limits to protect her friends and even better, her significant other.

Due to the severe trauma and/or PTSD her father's death has caused her, someone taking the fall for her is something that she wishes will never happen.

She's likely to have a panic attack if the other person is taking too long to respond or finally comes to after what feels like hours to her rattled brain.

She hates crying in front of people she trusts, even her own sister. She's always wanted to be less emotional, but that's just in her nature. If she cries, please ignore her and never mention it to anyone.

A good way to calm her down besides getting her home quickly is by letting her feel your clothes to make sure she's really there with you.

Eh, not really? I mean, so far as Cole goes, we can hold conversations, if we have to. We talk about Stephen sometimes- all his little neurotic behaviors.

Not in like, a bad way, to clarify. We just like giving him shit. It's funny, and something besides drumming that we have in common. Anyway, you don't throw stones from glass houses.

As for Trasha...

Ugh. Maybe hate's a strong word. She's like, what. Eight? Something about her fills me with an ungodly rage, though. I can't really help it.
